It’s clean and spacious.

We liked that it had parking and it was very clean and quiet. The owners were lovely. Has bus stops directly outside the hotel in both directions.

The single bed mateass was sunken in the middle so it could do with a new one.

It was central and only a 5-10 minute walk to the actual city centre. Also very handy for the bus as the bus stop is literally outside the hotel and costs about £2.60.

Car park to the rear. 1st room we had was very comfortable. Staff and manager were very helpful. Bus stop straight outside into the city but it’s only a 15/20 min walk

On second day we came back and rain was coming in through the roof and down the walls so we had to switch rooms. and in the second room the bed was very squeaky and uncomfortable

Very well situated, convenient, easy to access and a great starting point for visiting (bus stop that goes to Cardiff centre right in front of the hotel). Small comfortable rooms with all the space you need for a casual stay, an ironing board and iron downstairs, lovely staff, and quiets nights. New towels offered every day and got new slippers on the 3rd day.

The only downside on cleanliness was some tiny black spots on the bathroom joints, but that might have just been discoloration due to time.

Parking wasn’t properly signed. We spent 20minuets looking for the car park before giving up and going in to ask. Car park is very small but it is locked over night.

Easy to access City location. Clean, comfortable, quiet room (we had room 26), plus a wardrobe w/hangers, towels and toiletries and lovely design cups with somewhere to sit and drink the coffee. Comfortable bed. Couldn't ask for more at the price!

Didn’t get a breakfast! Not sure if it was part of the service? To be fair,the room was merely a place to sleep. It was one night. So absolutely fitted our needs.

Very difficult to sleep at this hotel in the summer as it's hot inside the building and when you open the windows, you will have to battle with the noise from cars driving on the road. For us it was either sleep in a very hot room with no fan or you open the windows for some air and then have road noise to deal with. The size of the room is another matter. Mine was so small and compact. My friend did not have tissues in their toilet and because we came in to the room after 11pm, there was no where to get tissues from. The location is great but for the road noise. it is easy to access. parking is a nightmare though especially if you are coming in late. the parking attached to the hotel gets shut by 10pm. All in all, even though the it's quite cheap compared to others in Cardiff, This fell far short of basic expectations of a "hotel"!

Weinig ventilatiemogelijkheden, kamer was heet, niet tevoren al gelucht. Parkeren kon maar was niet eenvoudig.

Shocking. We paid in full over 2 weeks ago to stay over night on the 15th August. They took the payment and sent confirmation but they cancelled our booking at 01:30am on Friday 14th, less than 24 hours before the day of our booking. When we called them to investigate they were not helpful and said the room had already been given to a different booking.

Close to city center although bus stop right outside. Our room was on the 3rd floor, beautiful room, lovely clean toilet/shower, however given that we are in a heatwave, our room was up on the 3rd floor (no lift) small window and a velux window, however…. The guest house is on THE main road into Cardiff, busy 24/7 , could not keep window open for road noise! Stifling!

Child in hospital. Gave notice, couldn't attend, refused refund - with notice I saved up a long time to stay as my favourite band were playing at the Castle. Called the Hotel 16 times in the 11 days leading up to the date. Not only has there been no refund at all, there's been NO acknowledgement of contact. If they refund me, I'll change my review

10 mins walk to the city perfect location. Stayed an extra night aswell. Very clean, it was like being at home in your own bedroom. We had en-suite but could still hear people using the shared facilities supposed that can’t be helped. ***** definitely staying again. Kettle wire was a bit small and had to carry the wire and everything to the bathroom sink to fill up. Staff were 10/10

The check in was easy and staff (Tony) was really friendly. I had a single room and it was tiny but had everything I needed, the shared bathroom and toilet were super clean which was a big plus!

It was a single bed which was what I paid for but it was really springy and uncomfortable sadly. The room had quite a few bits of wear as well.

The beds were so hard that caused us back pain.

It was a very convenient location just near a bus route into town. The hotel has parking round the back, ideal for us. The room was good value and clean but quite cramped. Where we were on top floor, the room was warmed by the afternoon sun. In such a heatwave it was hard to keep the room cool - the fan was useful. We couldn’t have the window open even overnight when it was cooler as it’s such a busy road the traffic never stops.

Very central location, private parking, Royal atmosphere, the room was very nice.

Really nice spacious and clean room. The staff was nice and let us already park the car before the check-in time.

It is not the best neighbourhood, the hotel is located in.

The shop owner is very friendly, and the room and bathroom are also very clean. There is also a sink and mirror in the room, and even disposable slippers. I only spent 39 pounds on such a good suite, which should be quite rare in British cities

Double bed seemed to be a small one and traffic was noisy so did not sleep very well.

Das Bett war leider absolut fürchterlich. Für 2 Personen leider zu klein, durchgelegen, quirtschend und alt. Es wurde leider sehr sehr warm und stickig in dem Zimmer und das Fenster konnte man nur einen kleinen Spalt öffnen. Ein Ventilator wäre super gewesen!

musty smell ,(dont get why they dont put a few air fresheners around the place), decent shower room except the toilet ball valve ran all night/day, there was mold around base of shower and no sink plug ,empty plant pots outside nothing like the pictures, i guess it was ok for the money but fixing s few little things would help

Area is rough, carpark not secure and small (had to park on side street). The room (top floor) was hot (told by staff there was a fan), bed was squeaky. Landing was filthy, needed a damn good clean, the whole place felt like a half way house. Internal walls paper thin. Got into bed, only lasted 10 mins, we both got bites. Left the property and found somewhere else to stay.

My room was on the top floor with no llft and.limited hand rails. I have fibromyalgia a chronic condition where you have a lot of pain and fatigue. I got stuck on the stairs with no hand rail to hold onto which was very distressing Eventually after knocking on doors to get some help a man answered the door and carried my luggage up to my room, It was very frightening because I thought I was going to fall down the stairs and injure myself. The next day I had to go to the hospital and get my ankle checked out

Very clean and comfortable room. Well decorated and in a great location, just 15 mins walk from the city centre. I would highly recommend.

The car park is limited with tight spaces, around the back of the hotel, down a back alley with tight access. uneven road surface and rubbish in the steeet. This is not something the hotel can do anything about though and it's due to the houses in this area of the city. There seemed plenty of roadside parking available though elsewhere..
