The Grange was an ideal for Sherborne and we enjoyed a quiet peaceful long weekend
Excellent service. Very friendly. Lovely meal garden and bar area.
Wonderful independent family-run business - we will come back ! And wonderful decor and Christmas decoration throughout !
Quiet, character, clean, lovely room, bed, shower room all necessary facilities
Quiet location away from everthing which is what we wanted we had a superior double which was large and well equiped nice balcony over looking gardens We had breakfast 2 mornings and this was plentiful and lovely we also eat in the restaurant three nights same menu but great food small bar and we had drinks in the lounge all in all a wonderful stay and we would certainly stay again
Lovely staff and hotel, felt boutique and vibe was chilled, lovely comfy bed, great sized room, staff so lovely. Just a great little hotel. Breakfast was super too
Lovely stay and fantastic service. Had a perfect stop over on our way to Cornwall and the restaurant was excellent.
Everything was excellent except the breakfast wasn’t the best.
good
Lovely rooms. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful meals. Quiet countryside location. Highly recommended.
It was faultless. Everything has been thought out so well, you feel very welcomed like a house guest. Thank you. Wish we had longer than a night.
An excellent overnight stay, parking excellent, welcome excellent, room excellent, food excellent, a great place to stay I would throuoghly recommend The Grange.
Fab family run hotel with traditional values. Located in a rural area with stunning views. Great staff, one of the nicest hotel rooms we have stayed in. Cosy bar area with a great atmosphere throughout. We will visit again.
Warm and friendly welcome, nice spacious room spotlessly clean comfy bed good breakfast
The hotel was in a beautiful setting quiet close to a lot of historical landmarks. The food in the hotel was superb as well and Sherbourne town centre was a 10 minute drive away with a lovely Abbey and lots of nice pubs and restaurant. Plume of feathers was great, an Italian tapas,, this was opposite the Abbey
Another really comfortable stay with good friendly service and first class food.
A lovely place, friendly, helpful staff. The room was lovely, bed extremely comfortable, best nights sleep in ages. The food in the restaurant was amazing, overall a fabulous stay. Thank you.
I normally don't bother with reviews but our party of 4 were so blown away by the Grange that I felt compelled to contribute something. What was expected to be a ho-hum overnight stay at a modest 3 star hotel turned out to be something way, way better. The overall setting was perfect - a beautiful location in the middle of nowhere, The accommodation was outstanding: spacious, clean, individual and beautifully appointed. Everyone we met, and I mean everyone, was so helpful, warm and friendly, that it was a joy just to be there. But the really unexpected bonus was the food. An outstanding and beautifully appointed restaurant with an imaginative dinner menu and probably the best breakfast I've ever had. Just the most perfect place.
Lovely setting in Dorset. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Very friendly staff. Lovely hotel in a great location.
Property was within easy reach of Sherborne and was quiet. Staff very good.
Stunning hotel in beautiful surroundings, happy welcoming staff, super clean room, comfy bed! Love the shower gel! Just can't find it to buy......
Beautiful rooms, lovely location , fantastic food. My only small gripe was the noisy boiler located in the cupboard in our roon
Exceptional - elegant, comfortable, and with a superb restaurant. A friendly welcome from management and staff. Covid protocols evident but not intrusive. Well placed for the Haynes Motor Museum and the attractions of Sherborne.
From the moment we arrived with guide dog Poppy, we were made very welcome. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the accommodation was comfortable and breakfast and dinner was lovely. I’m sure we will visit again one day.
Quite location, but with easy access to main routes, friendly staff, and food was excellent.
This is a lovely friendly family hotel. We have stopped twice this year. In summer and December, both enjoyable and relaxing. Evening meal and breakfast excellent. Our rooms were top notch with lovely views of the garden. Staff brill too 😊
This is a family run hotel with a loyal staff who make your stay very special. It is comfortable and homely but provides everything you need for an enjoyable and stressfree stay. The food is good too.
all good
fabulous, clean, friendly, welcoming. mattress was amazingly comfortable - very important with a bad back.
Very friendly helpful staff , excellent large room , perfect location
Hotel is ok, staff are friendly. Breakfast is overpriced.
Lovely hotel, helpful friendly staff, very nice room, great breakfast
Beautiful hotel and grounds. Very peaceful. Gorgeous rooms. Would definitely stay again when in the area.
Lovely countryside hotel in a quaint hamlet. Plenty of nice little features, great friendly and welcoming service - and amazing breakfast! The bathroom could have done with a bit of an upgrade but the room was comfortable and had everything we needed.
Beautifully kept accommodation and garden surrounds, truly a special place.
Excellent room, fantastic sevice and food
Only a one night stay but can thoroughly recommend this hotel. Extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff helpful and fabu
Warm welcome. Excellent staff and service. Room comfy but in need of refreshing. Food good.
Really friendly place, quiet location. Good food, will stay again.
The location was excellent, gorgeous village and very handy for Sherborne, which is also very pretty. There was plenty of parking. The hotel seemed well laid out and our bedroom and bathroom were clean, light and spacious. We stayed in three hotels on our trip and this was our favourite. Main drawback was the lumpy mattress. I didn’t sleep well because of the springs sticking into me. Hotel breakfast was OK.
This spotlessly clean hotel is located in a beautiful little hamlet just outside of Sherbourne and is the perfect base for an exploring Dorset holiday. The customer service we received was excellent. We felt completely Covid safe during our lovely 2 night stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough - simply lovely!
Lovely hotel ! The manager on duty the day we arrived was really friendly and explained their protocol on Covid very well but also very relaxed and reassuring. We only stayed one night and the room was superb.. so roomy.. The only small criticism was that the pillows were a little hard (my husband always takes his pillow with him !😂) .. whereas I always go with it and did have a bit of a stiff neck! Also the room was very hot and we could’ve done with a fan .. although I’m sure this would’ve been provided if I’d only asked ! The evening meal was delicious and the dining room really cosy and well set out. The garden is beautiful too x Breakfast was lovely with my boiled eggs cooked to perfection All the staff we saw were really friendly. We will definitely stay again and will recommend to anyone we know who is going to the area .
Lovely hotel!
We had an amazing stay at the Grange, wish we'd stayed longer. Very clean, comfortable and extremely friendly staff, they made us feel very welcome from the minute we walked through the door. The food was exceptional too. The photos are an exact representation of what you can expect on arrival. Would definitely recommend, and already have done to family and friends. Looking forward to staying again.
If you happen to be in the Area, it’s a must visit boutique hotel. Impeccable service and great personnel working at the property. It topped our expectations. Well done!
Lovely property, clean and welcoming staff. Restaurant was lovely a delicious food.
Our stay are the hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and the whole experience was first class. We look forward to returning sometime in the future.
Bed was so uncomfortable, vwry hard springy matress, it tookan hour for them to serve breakfast and then they tried to double charge me for the room and breakfast even though i had paid already.
Nice homely feel, a lot of character, it was well maintained
Pleasant quiet location. Good food in a civilized dining room. only (trivial) complaint is that you cdn't use the two v comfortable armchairs in the bedroom, coz there was no light to read by
Fab stay! Would definitely recommend. The room itself was lovely and spacious with a modern walk in shower, comfy bed and nice views of the countryside. Staff were friendly and dinner in the restaurant was great! Location is also lovely with Sherborne only a short drive away.
Very much enjoyed our short stay. Breakfast was excellent with good choice of freshly cooked options. Evening meal was also very good. Staff friendly and good location. One small problem in room which was dealt with very efficiently.
The Grange is a beautiful country house hotel, set in lovely grounds in the quaint village of Oborne. The rooms are well equipped, nice bathrooms, wonderful views of the garden and countryside. Staff are attentive, and the restaurant is excellent. We've stayed here many times and love coming back.
One night stay, ok food I'm stuffy restaurant. Woke up by fire alarm that seems faulty
It was a very relaxing place to stay.It was well placed for visiting the area.
This is a family run and owned Hotel which is lovely to find and the welcome is therefore very warm and friendly. The staff cannot do enough for you.
Excellent welcome from a very nice man! Food very good. Accommodation very comfortable. Lovely setting.
Very comfortable, delicious food, very peaceful
Excellent highly recommend
The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was good quality.
Great location, very quiet with great facilities, spacious room and friendly, attentive staff at a very reasonable price.
Great hospitality and large comfortable room, with great breakfast selection.
The facilities and service were excellent, as was the food. We will definitely come back if we are in the area.
Lovely hotel. Nice and quiet. Very friendly staff. 👍
We stayed on a b&b basis for 4 nights. The room was lovely and very clean. Breakfast was plentiful with lots to choose. Staff were helpful and attentive. We would stay again.
I dont usually rate Best Western as a brand, its often at the lower end of the scale in seaside towns etc, but this must simply be THE BEST Best Western in the country. The rooms are brilliant, style and feel of the place is exceptional and service was just perfect. A really good experience I didn't expect but was very grateful for. I will be returning.
Lovely location, huge rooms. Showers very low pressure and poor quality hairdryers. Food ok, but expensive. Staff all friendly and helpful. Had to wait for ages for cooked breakfast. Sewage tank in car park smelt awful.
Had a really pleasant stay. Friendly staff, no pretentiousness and in a lovely village setting. Surrounding countryside is first class.
Lovely and friendly hotel. We got married there 2 years ago and we like to return for our anniversary since it's lovely and the staff are very friendly 😊
Great welcome. Great food. Lovely building and peaceful area
Slightly awkward single track country roads to reach the hotel from the north, but well worth the journey.
Service was superb and the food is some if the best I've ever had. Having said that it is a little expensive if I'm honest in terms of drink etc, but you get what you pay for.
The staff from the welcome given by The Manager Jonathan to the Chambermaid is first class. Nothing was too much trouble and this is a fabulous Best Western Hotel. Food highly recommended.
The Beautiful hotel and lovely room with a gorgeous garden. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Recommend.
One of the best hotels I have stayed in!
A Beautiful countryside location, Right off the beaten track! Oborne is in a tiny hamlet lost in time. Nothing has changed here since Oliver Cromwell's time! Oborne has an Old gothic church, a babbling brook running through the hamlet. Timeless and almost forgotten? The Grange hotel is charming, tastefully extended, well maintained and unique! Comfortable and warm with all our needs met. Great menu, bar and wine list? We enjoyed exploring the location, the local villages are pretty Georgian old England and the local people were interested and helpful! Each with an old church full of historical information! Sherborne was amazing with its majestic Abbey and little streets. Dorset seems to have a lot to offer!
