Excellent value for the money. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location. It had air conditioning.

Small room and no pool. I was expecting a little more. I would stay here again and would recommend it. It just wouldn't be my first choice.

Nice location. Close to the sea. Rooms were very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location perfect! Wonderful breakfast and loved the rooftop outdoor area.

Towels are old and need to be replaced with new ones and shampoo and soap need upgrades.

La ubicación es muy buena. Queda a la vuelta de la Marina Piccola donde hay muchos lugares buenos para comer. Se puede llegar al centro caminando sin demasiada difucultad. Todo el personal del hotel es muy cordial. Con quien más contacto tuvimos fue con Marilena de la Recepción que fue quien nos recibió cuando llegamos.

Lo único que comentaría es que el cubículo de la ducha era bastante pequeño. Una persona corpulenta tendría dificultad para moverse dentro de él

La posizione ottima a due passi dal mare, ma quel tanto nascosta da stare in assoluta tranquillità, lo staff gentilissimo, pulizia delle camere perfetta, colazione completa di un po' di tutto, ma dove sono stato benissimo, è sul terrazzo dove alle prime luci dell'alba mi sono dedicato alla lettura al fresco e in assoluto relax fino a che il sole mi ha ricordato che ero lì per il mare.

Nice area in Marina Grande. Right by the Beach and Many Wonderful Restaurants for Lunch and Dinner selections. Beach and Marina Area are Quite Lovely at Night with Lights Decorating and Highlighting the Marina and Restaurants and Shops. Enjoyable Walking area. It is a Bit if a Walk to Marina Piccola for a Ferry or other Boat Transportation. Give plenty of Walking Time or Take a Taxi. Hotel DelMar does provide for a Call System for a,Taxi. Good Choice for me. Saved much Time. Breakfast is Excellent!!! Nice Atmosphere and Tasty Selections. Also, the Room was a bit Small but Very Comfortable, Clean and especially Cool with a Good AC System. Clean Room with Nice Decorative Sea and Lemon a la Sorrento Print!!! Enjoyable. Finally, the Staff is Super!!! Very Courteous and Helpful. Parking is a Big Plus for a Rental Car and fairly Close to Hotel.

Room was a bit Small but Very Clean, Cool and Comfortable (Nice View too). The Hotel should carefully explain that when arriving to the Hotel for Check in, on the Main Road in to Sorrento from Pompei and Vesuvius that it is a RIGHT TURN followed by an IMMEDIATE SHARP RIGHT TURN to get to DelMar Street and continue on for awhile until you reach the Hotel. Also, for PARKING (RENTAL CAR), it would be Wise to tell the Guest to Pull up to the Hotel and Leave Luggage with a Hotel Rep and then simply make a U Turn and proceed the short distance back to the Parking Area. Even Better, have a Hotel Rep take the Car at Check in Point and Park the Car for the Guest (Convenience). The Hotel need the Car Keys anyhow. Hopefully, this Information is Helpful sincevthe Hotel DelMar is a Nice Hotel with All things considered. Thank you.

The location and the staff.

We had a wonderful two nights at Hotel del Mare. The staff are really friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the breakfast. Some noise from the traffic when sat on the balcony but we could not hear when the doors were shut. The rooms are authentic Italian style. From here we stayed at The Admiral in Sorrento but much preferred Hotel del Mare.

The hotel property has a good location, near the beach and close to restaurants. This hotel is only 4 stores level therefore, not too much traffic of people. The staff was friendly and provided professional exceptional assistance. IWe enjoyed the terraza. The breakfast was very good with very attentive staff as well.

Because the location of the hotel was near the beach so in order to go downtown, it was time to claim up the hill and all the stairs to reach the top.

Reception staff helpful and knowledgeable and make a great spritz! Rooms clean, amazing buffet breakfast. Daily water and room servicing. Close to Marina Grande, 15 min walk up to the city. Bus leaves every 30 mins to save your legs. Rooftop sunset an absolute must.

Charming rooms in classic beach style. Rooftop top terrace was great for our evening group get togethers. It was very hot the 2 days we stayed (38.C) and the aircon worked very well.

Rooms were very small, not a lot of room to unpack for our 2 large suitcases.

I loved the location. It is charming! Steps from the water. Many great restaurants are nearby. The hotel is expensive for the size of the rooms, etc.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and about 15–20 minutes on foot to the center of Sorrento, with some stairs. It was a pleasant walk and made it easy to enjoy everything Sorrento has to offer. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. However, what truly made our stay special was the exceptional staff. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, but a very special thanks goes to the ladies at the reception desk. They were always smiling, kind, and incredibly helpful from the moment we checked in until we checked out. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made us feel at home. I always believe that a great hotel is defined by its people. The reception team creates the first and last impression, and the ladies at reception made ours unforgettable. Thank you for making our family stay so enjoyable. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento.

Gostei muito da localização, fica a poucos metros da Marina Grande que foi uma colônia de pescadores e hoje tem vários restaurantes. Super charmoso o lugar. Ficamos em 4 pessoas e achamos um pouco apertado principalmente os quartos que dão para para parte de trás e o banheiro mas os funcionários são super atenciosos e o café da manhã é divino.

The front desk people were so helpful. The place for breakfast was very cool and the roof top was beautiful.

The rooms were tiny. I knew the rooms were small. We had a king bed and bunkbeds. The stairs for the bunkbeds hit the king bed. There was a small “ closet” with a bench. My husband put his on the bench I put my carryon below it. My kids had no where to put their bags. Saving us was the roof because we could hang out there.

El hotel esta muy cerca a una playa, y en una zona donde es posible encontrar supermercadon y restaurantes, Además, ahí mismo es posible tomar un bus que lleva al centro, lo que lo hace muy conveniente si no se quiere caminar, aunque la distancia del centro se puede hacer a pie, aunque con algunas colinas. El desayuno buffet es muy bueno y variado y la habitacion muy limpia y tranquila. Y cuenta con una terraza con vista al mar ideal para tomar un cocktail preparado en su bar y mirar el horizonte.

Sólo que esperabamos tener una habitacion con vista al mar, pero lamentablemente no había disponibilidad

A very nice, cozy, and charming hotel with a pleasant atmosphere.

This cute hotel is steps away from the porta grande and very convenient. The room is fine. The Italians have certainly mastered blackout shutters as the room is completely dark. The shutters can be electronically raised to reveal a patio with two chairs and a table. Tiny shower. As the bed was a bit too hard for me, I placed one of the pillows under my torso to add some cushioning. The breakfast was so good! Fresh, ripe fruit and a wide range of breakfast items. The staff were all competent and warm.

Location to walking around city was great. Steps from the beach. The tiles and charm was perfect. Clean and authentic with comfortable beds and security windows for privacy and darkness. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. My two boys 15 & 11 did great with the bunkbeds. We also enjoyed the walk up the hill many times into town. They provided maps and easy to talk to in English. Top of the hotel is a beautiful lookout over the marina and perfect for a drink with the seagulls.

No Water View. I was under the impression for the price and “balcony” description we would have a partial marina view. I do feel duped for the price and lack of pictures for clarity. Also when ordering a taxi for a quick ride the price is quite high. They should have a shuttle to the train station and port a few times a day.

The rooms were clean and modern. Breakfast was very good with wide variety, gave us a good start to the day. The roof top terrace had comfortable chairs and a superb view of the water. Staff was exceptional in handling requests. No problem with billing.

There was not a channel that featured English speaking shows.

Great little spot in the marina. The people working the front desk were nice and the hotel was very clean. They offered breakfast, which was included. It was a decent offering including scrambled eggs and bacon, cheeses, fruit, yogurts, pastries, etc. The only negative was the really small shower. (About 2 1/2 by 2 1/2) it wouldn’t keep me from booking in this location again. Just worth a mention in case you are bigger than me. I’m 5’8 and 155 pounds and I had to shut water off and open doors to shave.

Small, quaint, expansive views, just the place to relax and holiday. Start each day with ground floor breakfast, plentiful and chocked with fresh local fruit. A corner turn to beach side stroll, climb through stone walkway and into Sorrento town. Descend downhill to cozy rooms and savor he sunset from the fourth floor terrace.

Fantastic location , 2 minutes walk to the excellent fish restaurants and small beach. Room was comfortable and very clean House keeping every day was excellent and clean towels supplied daily. Ladies at reception were extremely helpful with information regarding bus timetables etc. Highly recommend.

On our last night the barman refused to charge our drinks to our room or take payment with card. Refused us 2 glasses of wine unless we paid in cash which we found strange as we had charged them to the room without any problems the previous night.

Clean, proximity to water (10 sec), breakfast was excellent.

El desayuno era muy bueno y completo. El tamaño de la habitación está bien.

Nuestra habitación era como el cuarto del castigado. Oscuro, en el subterráneo y sin acceso desde el ascensor. El secador de pelo casi no funcionaba. La cama grande era en realidad dos pequeñas unidas por la sabana, se hace incómodo dormir asi. Las almohadas eran duras y nos dió mucha alergia.

La amabilidad del personal!! Fueron todos súper simpáticos y serviciales. La ubicación súper bien, al lado del mar y se llega caminando a los puntos de interés.

Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff who were funny/had a great sense of humour. They also helped us with our missing luggage situation - nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant, it made our stay!

El hotel es muy lindo. La habitación muy bien decorada, con un pequeño balcon con mesa y sillas. El personal es genial, super amables y simpaticos. El desayuno es el mejor que probé en la vida y las chicas estan re atentas a que estés re bien atendido. El salón del desayunador es espectacular, entras por un ascensor a una cueva de piedra, impresionante!

El estacionamiento te queda a unos 100 mts en subida. Pero bueno es Sorrento y en esa zona casi no tenes lugar para estacionar en ningún lado, ni en la puerta del hotel.

L'hôtel est très bien situé sur une petite plage à l'écart de l'agitation de la ville haute. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent varié et frais.

La chambre était en fait une cave très petite avec une fenêtre qui donnait sur l'immeuble en face que l'on pouvait toucher de la main. 20 € de parking par jour, et bien que vide nous avons payé les heures de dépassement, bien sûr il n'y a aucune possibilité de se garer ailleurs. Le rooftop n'est qu'un bout de toit sur lequel sont installés deux fauteuils. Pour le prix de la chambre on pouvait s'attendre à mieux.

Loved everything about the property , but I should’ve google mapped exact location before booking and saved some money for taxis - flat rate from centre was €25. However there was a local bus €2 per journey. You can also walk to the centre but it’s all up hill-after 2nd day we got used to it .

Perfect location out of all the traffic and congestion of Piazza Tasso in the heart of Marina Grande. The whole staff and especially Tony was great. I have bin to Sorrento and have stayed at both the cliff hotels and now Hotel Del Mara. The value of Sorrento is at the Marina Grande.

Abbiamo soggiornato all’Hotel del Mare e l’esperienza è stata davvero piacevole. Tutto lo staff si è dimostrato estremamente gentile e disponibile, facendoci sentire subito a nostro agio. La stanza era bellissima, con una splendida vista mare che ha reso il soggiorno ancora più speciale. Anche la colazione ci ha sorpreso: varia, abbondante e di ottima qualità. Inoltre, la posizione è perfetta: a soli 10 minuti dal centro, comodissima per muoversi senza rinunciare alla tranquillità. Consigliatissimo!
