We got one with a balcony( had asked for it) while booking. Shout out all staff members. Ramzan from the travel desk completely managed the iterinary. Great support .

The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Ambience of the hotel was good. Breakfast spread had variety for all tastes. Location of hotel is not far from airport and they arranged cab for airport transfer on chargeable basis. Though lunch and dinner were not so tasty but overall I liked the hotel.

Our stay at this hotel was exceptional. What impressed us most was the genuine warmth and customer-first attitude of every member of the team. A special thank you to Ms. Tenzin, Operational Manager, for receiving us personally and for ensuring a seamless and memorable stay, including the thoughtful upgrades to two different categories of suites. We were equally touched by the personal involvement of Mr. Danish Din, an owner and Director Marketing, who took the time to meet us on several occasions and enquire about our well-being. He was also extremely helpful in providing valuable inputs on our travel to Nubra valley and Pangong. Being at a high-altitude destination, the staff's guidance on acclimatization and preventive measures during our initial days was invaluable and greatly appreciated. The food was excellent throughout our stay. Restaurant Manager Sunny and his team members Mehtaab and Sunil attended to us very warmly. Another unique highlight was the stunning artwork displayed across the hotel, much of it personally created by the Managing Director Mr. Ghulam Mustafa. These paintings add a distinctive charm and character to the property. This hotel exemplifies hospitality at its finest. Our sincere thanks to the owners and the entire team for making our stay truly memorable. We look forward to returning.

Overall Experience: Our 8-night, 9-day trip to Ladakh with The Grand Dragon was absolutely phenomenal. Traveling as two adults with a young child, safety, comfort, and seamless logistics were our top priorities, and the team exceeded our expectations at every single turn. We felt incredibly well taken care of throughout the entire journey. Uncompromising Safety & Tracking: One of the most impressive aspects of The Grand Dragon was their proactive approach to our safety. The hotel management completely tracked our movement throughout the entire journey across Ladakh. If there was ever a minor delay or if we were running late into the evening, the team back at the base would immediately call our driver, Arif, to check on our status, understand the reasons, and ensure we were safe. This level of continuous monitoring gave us immense peace of mind, especially while traveling with a child in remote areas. Itinerary & Planning: Right from the start, Mr. Hafeez was incredibly accommodating, crafting the perfect 8N/9D itinerary tailored precisely to our family's needs. Mr. Ali was also fantastic—highly informative while walking us through the complete itinerary and expertly handling all our questions and concerns before we set out. They both deeply understood the challenges of traveling this terrain with a child and ensured an extra layer of comfort and safety was built into our schedule. My wife described it as one of her best experiences to date! Our Guide & Driver (The Ultimate Highlight): I saved the most important mention for Mr. Arif. He is exactly the person you want by your side on a trip like this. Driving us through the challenging, out-of-the-world landscapes from Leh to Turtuk, Nubra, Pangong, and back, he felt less like a driver and more like a close friend. Arif is a phenomenal storyteller, sharing the rich history of Ladakh and its every nook and corner. Located close to airport and City Centre. Clean and neat rooms with mountain view. We had a memorable stay . Excellent hospitality and good food, with several options ( both south and North) in the buffet. We had a 6 day package trip which was well organized by Mr Ramzan. Special mention to Mr Amit, Sunil kumar, Somnath and Himanshu. Hotel is equipped with various amenities for entertainment and recreation. My wife and I traveled to beautiful Ladakh from June 2nd to 15th, and it was a truly remarkable trip. We took several road trips to the Nubra Valley, Turtuk, Pangong Tso, Lamayuru, and Alchi. In between these journeys, we used The Grand Dragon as our base camp, as its location is perfectly central to all of these destinations. The Grand Dragon is a magnificent hotel. It blends great hospitality and picturesque views with comfortable rooms and top-tier modern amenities. The cuisine at Zasgyath was divine—a huge kudos to Chef Desh Raj—and the service at the restaurant was exemplary (a special shout-out to Sunil and Basu!). In fact, the hospitality across the entire staff was exceptional. The hotel is also ideally located: close enough to the Leh Main Market for an easy stroll, yet tucked away enough to remain quiet and peaceful. To top it all off, as we were checking out, we had the pleasant surprise of meeting one of the family owners, Mr. Danish, who graciously spent some time chatting with us. Amazing experience and extremely good hospitality. This is the the best place to stay in Leh. The food and speciality pan Asian restaurant Ryuoka served us excellent food chef Sandeeps preparation was too good. Among best pan Asian fine dining restaurant we have been too. One must definitely give it a try when in Leh. We were served very well Rejina.

Grand Dragon, Leh does everything right. We have been to many hotels in India and abroad, but the warmth and comfort exuded by this property, and it’s employees would parallel, or leave the so-called established chains a lot to think, and learn from. We had booked a 5 night 6 day package with them on the phone itself with Hafiz being most helpful. We were prompt picked up at the airport by Mumtaaz who guided us throughout our stay. In the hotel, we were appraised on how to negotiate and acclimatize to the high altitude and dry mountain air. The view from the hotel was exceptional with the highest peak of this area the ‘Stok Kangri’ opposite the restaurant and the foyer area. The rooms were spacious well decorated with beautiful Ladakhi colors and materials. Everything felt premium. Room humidifiers, SMEG kettles, air-conditioning and toiletries were top notch. The balcony rooms are exceptional. We enjoyed a great deal at the main restaurant. Every day was a different eclectic menu. We had never seen Ratatouille being served one food station away from the best dal that we had in North India in a long time. Chef Deshraj and his team worked wonders serving traditional Ladakhi food mixing it up with South Indian and North Indian cuisines. Due to the abundance of Gujaratis all around, vegetarian food was tasty and abundant. The garlic soup served everyday is unmissable. The hotel had a very nice shop managed by Waani, which had authentic garments and curios and books at competitive rates. The local sightseeing and the trip to Nubra was well taken care of by driver Javed. He was exceptional. There were some hidden treasures recommended by him Evening tea was served with a wide variety of filling snacks from 4-6 PM. This was the time to interact with other guests. Special mention to Amit, the restaurant manager and Sandeep and others who served us with much love. We could see the owners frequent the restaurant and the reception area intermingling with guests and introducing them to the wonders of Ladakh. This hotel is an architectural delight too. If you are into art, you will be delighted to see the excuisite paintings on the wall painted by none other than the hotel’s owner. Grand Dragon had a wonderful Japanese restaurant with serving the best sushi and tempura. Never expected to have such a excellent Japanese and pan asian restaurant at 11000 feet. Its interiors are a sight to behold. The booking team had booked the Stone hedge at Nubra, which was another excellent property and highly recommended to all. We were served with a lot of heart there as well. I would say that my family had the best time of their life visiting the beautiful state of Ladakh embellished by the wonderful people who own, manage, and run the Grand Dragon Leh.

The property is well known in Leh. It is comfortable with good amenities. Staff is nice as well.

This place is relatively small with small rooms. Overall not a great value for money. There are better places in Leh.

The cleanliness and comfort of the room

The value for my money. I order suit and the price was way too extreme for the location and quality of the hotel. Perhaps standard rooms are a better choice.

Golden Dragon Hotel at Leh is a top 5 star hotel and is proximity to the airport  The elevation of the hotel depicts the Ladakh culture and the rooms are spacious and some have balconies where the snow capped mountain views are extraordinary  The Front desk personnel are very warm and hospitable ,they make you sit and serve you with welcome drinks and then make you check in your rooms  The housekeeping is at its best , the room service is chik but the best part is their restaurant Zasgyath , an amazing food awaits you everytime with lots of surprises  The Executive Chef Deshraj Punia should be crowned a Michelin Star chef as the buffet spread he design everyday new for breakfast and dinner are minimal 100 nos with indian,chinese,continental, Italian, live counters , deserts, chats etc but other than this if you need something else the Chef is happy and willing to do for you. The Executive Chef Deshraj Punia is a smiling person, he goes to each table on rounds and talks sweetly to everyone and his fellow chefs who are more less, 15 in numbers follows their boss's footsteps The hosts or the F&B team at the Zasgyath are no different ,they are not only kind but always nice serving their guests with lots of smile and happiness and helping them to get whatever they require I should definitely place my kudos & appreciation  to the following hosts Gagan, Krishna, Nitin, Jawed , Basu and to all the rest  The other restaurant Ryu Oka is Asian and I never had a chance to go over there but will visit next time soon

My stay at The Grand Dragon Ladakh was truly exceptional, especially during a very challenging time for us. During our trip, my husband fell seriously ill and had to be hospitalized. What stood out the most was how the hotel team cared for us like family. Their compassion and support made an incredibly stressful situation much easier to handle. A heartfelt thanks to Chef Deshraj, who prepared delicious and thoughtful meals for us. His food was not just excellent but also comforting when we needed it the most. A very special mention to Rinchen, who went out of her way to look after us. She arranged comfort food for my husband and me, including special preparations like drastuk—something so meaningful when someone is unwell. She even remembered exactly how I like my cold coffee and made it perfectly every time. We also received outstanding service from Gagan, Sunil, and Malban, who were consistently attentive and kind. At reception, Chorol ensured everything was handled smoothly, including helping coordinate hospital visits and taking care of all our requirements with great efficiency and warmth. This level of hospitality is rare. The team didn’t just provide service—they provided genuine care and support. I will always be grateful and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Leh.

Tastefully decorated, very well maintained and – what is very rare in modern world – perfectly managed hotel. All the details are thought of, also taking into account that many of the guests need adaptation to altitude: there are humidifiers in the rooms, upon arrival we got each a tablet to breath in case of altitude sickness. The floors are heated, everything everywhere functions properly and absolutely nothing is a problem. If you need anything, you need just to call and you will get it within a minute. Whomever traveled at least a bit, I am sure is familiar with a situation when either other guests are leaving early or arriving late and the staff brings in or takes out the luggage and has to come into the room several times. BANG, BANG!!! - goes the door of adjacent room and you jump-up on your bed properly woken up. Same normally goes for housekeeping coming to make-up the rooms nearby at ungodly hours. In Grand Dragon even this is taken care of with a genius simple measure: each room has a long narrow pillow that can be secured on handles outside and inside the entry door and prevent any noise from door closing. Photo attached. All in all, really a positive surprise.

This hotel is fantastic! Our room was very comfortable and the big window provided for a breathtaking view of the Himalayas. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, polite, and kind. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The restaurant served delicious meals with impeccable service; the team there was also amazingly polite and attentive. The manager and the front desk personnel were super helpful and kind. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Honestly nothing to change

I stayed at The Grand Dragon Ladakh with a group of friends, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. We were pleasantly surprised when the hotel upgraded our room on arrival, which set the tone for a fantastic stay. The room was very clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. Since we visited during extreme winter conditions, the hotel had thoughtfully arranged everything to keep us comfortable including a humidifier, temperature controlled rooms, heated floors, heated mirrors, and even a very well-maintained and comfortable bathroom. These small but important details made a huge difference in the cold weather. What truly impressed us was the staff’s attentiveness. One of my friends needed an oxygen cylinder due to the high altitude, and it was provided promptly with just a single call. That level of care and responsiveness was truly appreciated. The hotel also arranged an SUV with a very good and professional driver for our visit to Pangong Lake, which made the journey safe, comfortable, and memorable. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The combination of comfort, thoughtful amenities, and exceptional hospitality makes this hotel highly recommended for anyone visiting Ladakh.

We have been a regular guest of the Grand Dragon, Ladakh for the past 12 years! The hospitality and services are only getting better and they are surpassing the levels each time! Specially this time, the food (and the spread and variety) was unmatchable! Kudos to Head Chef Punia ji, his team members - Himanshu, Gagan, Basu with others made it a point to make our experience unforgettable with their service and behaviour. The buffet and snacks served for Hi-Tea (like mini samosas, kachoris etc.) stood out with tastes as authentic as it can be! Not to forget, our anniversary dinner was arranged with thoughtful decoration & freshly baked cake which made it oh so beautiful that it can never be forgotten, courtesy Head chef Punia ji & team. The airport drop and pickup should've been complementary. Rs 1000/- for a drop off of 7 mins is outrageous. We weren't picked up by the hotel when we landed at Leh. There was little to no communication on arranging the pickup from the hotels's side. This could've been handled in a better way.

The best experience in Leh! The property is beautiful, but what truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly warm, attentive, and always made sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. We also took a road trip to Nubra and Pangong using Hotel's car service, and it was one of the highlights of our journey. Our captain- Arif was extremely professional, friendly, and ensured our safety and comfort the entire way. He guided us through the routes with ease and made the long drives enjoyable with his experience and knowledge of the region. Overall, a wonderful stay and an unforgettable trip. Highly recommended!
