A solid hotel with no major complaints. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the other guests were polite and respectful. Overall, a pleasant stay.

The room didn’t face the street😅 it faced the courtyard, and there was no noise.

Lift wasn’t working to found going up and down lots of stairs (as on 4th floor) really frustrating as had a bike and lots of luggage. No kettle, very very basic for what I paid

Åt ej frukost på hotellet vid detta tillfälle. Förra gången åt vi av frukostbuffén - den var helt ok och höll internationell standard.

Att AC:n och kassaskåpet inte fungerade som de skulle när vi anlände till hotellrummet. Detta fixade dock den mycket tillmötesgående personalen (David och Alex) omgående.

The lift was out of order. There was ominous offer of help taking our luggage up to our 4th floor room. The supposedly superior room was basic. The bathroom was badly designed Ed, there was no bath mat so the bath was slippery. The shower running from the side wall was uncomfortable to use. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

Nous y avons passé une nuit. C’est un hôtel plein de charme avec son côté ancien, très bien situé, à quelques pas de la Promenade. L’hôtel est propre et le petit-déjeuner est bon.

Great location

Beds and pillows were rock hard. The ventilation and AC didn’t work at all which was not ideal especially not with a small child. It was 30 degrees in nice. Very simple standard of the rooms

Расположение! До всего очень близко, рестораны и магазины внизу. Дружелюбный и приятный персонал. Чистота в комнате, уборка. Несмотря на то что окна моего номера выходили на улицу с ресторанами, при закрытых окнах была тишина. Есть лифт, что очень удобно.

Nagyon közel volt a tengerparti sétány, az óváros, az éttermek, reggeliző helyek. Kedves, segítőkész volt a személyzet. A szobában sok pakolós hely volt - szekrény, asztal, székek, bőrönd tartó stb.... A szálloda folyosója szűk, de így a szobák mérete komfortos volt.

Egyszer zavaró volt, hogy a kukás autó éjfél után szedte össze a szemetet, de becsuktuk az ablakot és úgy már viselhető volt. Nekem a fürdőkád helyett kényelmesebb lett volna egy zuhanyzó, de ez nem olyan lényeges.

În 9 zile cat am stat la acest hotel, doar de 2 ori am avut apă caldă la duș (caldă, nu fierbinte). În rest, doar apa rece. Micul dejun ar putea fi mai diversificat. Curățenia nu e făcută cum trebuie. Când am ajuns, a fost praf de un deget de gros pe rafturile din dulap, iar pe timpul șederii nu a fost aspirat covorul în cameră și nici nu au spălat atent baia. Dar prosoapele au fost schimbate în fiecare zi.

Une très grosse déception – service et confiance inexistants Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel trois nuits, du 29 juillet au 1er août, pour un montant total de 688,68 €, soit 229,56 € la nuit. Ce n’est clairement pas une somme négligeable pour trois nuits et cela laisse légitimement espérer un certain niveau de service. À notre départ, nous avons malheureusement oublié dans la chambre un flacon de parfum Hugo Boss neuf, d’une valeur de plus de 130 €. Nous nous en sommes rendu compte rapidement et avons immédiatement cherché à le récupérer. Comme nous étions déjà rentrés et habitons loin, un ami pouvait venir le chercher. L’hôtel nous a demandé que ce soit la personne ayant effectué la réservation qui fasse la demande. Je l’ai donc faite par mail. Aucune réponse. J’ai ensuite dû appeler. On m’a indiqué que rien n’avait été retrouvé et, après avoir insisté, on m’a promis une vérification auprès de la gouvernante et du personnel d’entretien le lundi, ainsi qu’un rappel. Personne ne m’a rappelée. Une semaine plus tard, j’ai donc dû reprendre moi-même contact avec l’hôtel. Réponse définitive : rien n’avait été trouvé. Mais au-delà du parfum perdu, c’est surtout la façon dont le client est traité qui est extrêmement décevante. Puisque le personnel disait ne rien avoir trouvé, j’ai clairement eu le sentiment que ma parole était mise en doute. En résumé : puisque leurs employés n’avaient rien trouvé, ma version semblait forcément ne pas être crédible. Nous avons pourtant séjourné dans plusieurs hôtels cet été et nous n’avons jamais eu la moindre raison de signaler fictivement un objet oublié. À 688,68 € pour trois nuits, nous pensions choisir un établissement dans lequel nous pouvions avoir confiance. Malheureusement, nous avons surtout découvert qu’en cas de problème, il ne fallait apparemment pas compter sur le service client. Aucun rappel, aucune véritable recherche de solution, aucun geste commercial, aucune prise en considération de notre situation.

Endast några få rum hade balkong vilket var lite synd, så klart till en extra kostnad.

Tolle Lage -- direkt bei der Fußgängerzone und nur wenige Minuten vom Stand entfernt! Zimmer war sehr sauber und hatte einen kleinen Balkon, was sehr angenehm war. Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Im Badezimmer könnte es mehr Aufhängevorrichtungen für die Handtücher geben.

The best thing about the hotel is its central location. It is also nice to have helpful staff at the front desk 24/7 and a place to store luggage for free (even after checking out, if you're flying late). The room was okay, beds were made every day and towels were changed.

The worst part was that the lamp above my bed was not fastened to the bed frame properly and had exposed electrics - i touched it thinking there was glass in front, looking for the power switch, and got shocked while in bed - that was very dodgy. There were some dirty elements (hair dryer had brown smidges on it that would be easy to wipe away if staff ever cleaned it) and there were some marks on the wall near the door. On our first evening, the shower had no warm water, so I had to have a freezing cold one instead. Staff said it was a temporary problem, at it was fixed later that same evening. The elevator was out of order one afternoon too, while someone was servicing it. The elevator only comfortably fits two, but three could be in it if you don't mind standing very close together. The wifi wasn't very fast, and we could only have 3 devices on it (the 3 of us each had a phone, but couldn't activate the wifi on our laptop too after signing in on our phones). The fridge is small and impractical, as you have to almost sit on the floor to use it. There weren't many available power sockets (2 altogether, and one of them - on the hair dryer - didn't work). We resorted to unplugging a lamp under the desk to have two functioning sockets. Walls were pretty thin, we could hear our neighbors making quite a lot of noise one afternoon/evening.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout our visit. They were always happy to assist, very accommodating, and willing to go the extra mile to make our stay as comfortable as possible. All our questions were answered promptly and professionally. We truly appreciated their warm attitude and excellent service. We would definitely stay here again!

I really like it the location. Close to the beach, to many restaurants and nice stores. I could also have a good walking until the Porto and train station.

I missed having a power outlet to charge my phone next to the bed. There was only one outlet in the room, which was for the mini-fridge.

The air conditioning vents were covered in mould so we didn’t use them as this would just spread spores into the air. Not ideal to sleep in. Therefore we had to have the doors open to keep cool during the heatwave. However there is a very loud night club open very late. We didn’t sleep much.

We had no hot water for showers. Air-conditioning was not working and the standard double room is very small and more suitable for a single person than two people.

The staff were very rude. We had been treated unfairly and badly. First they allocated us to the room which had issue with pipes and there was a very bad smell and the water leak. Then they changed the room to the standard triple instead of superior what we booked. There were no hot water and no facilities at all. Receptionist was very nice with English man in front of us but rudely said to us If we don’t like hotel we can leave…

Location is perfect.

Breakfast is not the best. In the summer they serve compote instead of fresh fruit.

Hotelul este situat ultracentral și beneficiază de o locație excepțională, în raport cu Promenade des Anglais și stațiile de tramvai, care asigură legătura cu aeroportul, cu Portul Lympia și cu Gara Centrală. Recepția hotelului a fost excepțională, nu numai profesionistă, ci caldă și prietenoasă, oferindu- mi sfaturi de mare ajutor. De asemenea, extrem de drăguț și binevoitor a fost și personalul restaurantului. Vă mulțumesc frumos!

M- aș fi așteptat ca micul dejun să fie variat! Ar fi mai confortabil dacă priza ar fi situată lângă pat! De asemenea, poate că n- ar strica o mică investiție în mobilierul camerei și băii, care este cam obosit și ar avea nevoie cel puțin de o mică recondiționare.

The hotel enjoys an excellent location, just a 5-minute walk to the beach where you can go swimming anytime. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean, and each room is equipped with a refrigerator and a safe. I highly recommend this accommodation.

The window faces the gap between two buildings, no view whatsoever.However, it didn't bother me much as I spent most of the day sightseeing outside.

Perfect location, just short walk to the city center and the beach.

It can be a bit noisy in the evening, as the hotel is located in a lively area with many restaurants and cafés nearby. Also, some rooms face the wall of the neighbouring building, which should be clearly communicated before the reservation is made. We initially received one of those rooms and asked to change it. Although the hotel was almost fully booked and arranging a different room was quite challenging, the staff did their best to accommodate our request. They eventually found us a much better room and compensated us for the inconvenience, which we really appreciated.

My husband and I stayed here two weeks ago during our honeymoon and while in a wonderful location, it became a terrible nightmare when we woke up to bed bug bites all over our legs and my husband's back and neck. We discovered one crawling on our pillow and took a video of it before killing it. When we pulled back the sheets and checked the mattress, it clearly had been stained and had a bed bug infestation. There were stains in the corners and sides of the mattress and a large giant rip in the mattress with blood stains. The mattress was compromised and should have been thrown out!! Instead they charged almost $400 CAD a night to sleep on this mattress. The first problem was the extremely outdated carpeting and shower that did not run anything but lukewarm water, and a phone in the room that did not work. When we told front desk about the bedbug issues, they pretended to be shocked and said they had never had this issue before. The front desk called the manager who had the head of cleaning come in to check the bed. With her bare hands she was touching the mattress including all of the stained areas and dried blood. She stripped the bed aggressively and took the sheets with her. Our luggage was still open while she did this and I had to rush to close it for fear of bed bugs being thrown into them. An hour later the hotel front desk manager arrived claiming the cleaning staff didn't find any bed bugs. He was looking at the bed as if the horrible condition it was in was completely normal and sanitary. I was in complete shock as it was blatantly clear given the condition of the bed, stains and bites we showed him on both of us. We took pictures and videos as well. They advised they would move us to another room on another floor. This whole experience ruined our morning and nearly made us late to a reservation that was paid for in Eza. We had to hire a private car at over 100 euros just to get there on time. Not only did this ruin our Nice experience but also our morning. Im afraid whether we have brought bugs home with us as well. Very costly mistake to stay at this hotel. Please don't stay here unless you want to go through the same experience. I have never been exposed to or experienced bedbugs in my life and am traumatized by this.

Room was smelling bad - old carpet, cigarrets, not sure what. Bathroom was strange, not possible to fully open the door as it hits the toilet. Shower was weird and after taking a shower whole place was wet. Toilet at lobby with no light. I did not like the experience.... hotel needs some update - please remove the smelly carpets.

great location at the centre of the city, the beach is literally 5 minutes away on foot. the room was very tidy, although a bit dark and personally I'm not a big fan of the carpet on the floor. but the staff was amazing, the reception is 24h and super nice and they have a luggage storage room which is super helpful

I'm so happy that I chose Hotel de Suede for my first visit to Nice! Location is one of the most important aspects of my hotel choice and this one couldn't be more perfectly placed with the beach within a 2 minute walk! I swam in the Meditteranean Sea every morning of my stay! Considering the placement, I'm amazed at the affordable rates and feel so lucky to have found it. You can borrow a beach towel from reception with a deposit which is returned when you return the towel. The staff were all perfectly lovely and informative. This hotel is surrounded by restaurants and within an easy distance of Place Massena and Vieux Nice so you will maximize your sightseeing here. I would definitely stay here again and when you first see Nice you'll understand why repeat visits are necessary. It is a paradise!

Other reviews complained of the carpeting but this did not bother me. I thought my room perfectly charming even without a view. The rooms are small compared to what Americans might expect but experienced travelers will already be aware of this and require no more than a comfortable place to sleep. You will not be sorry you came here!

Friendly and super helpful staff, great location in terms of how close you are to both the beach and restaurants and old town! A great base and good value for money! The gentleman who check us in gave us a great explanation of everything around showed us on a map all the good places and gave us an excellent museum exhibition recommendation. You can also rent towels to use on the nearby beach which was super helpful!

Whilst the location being close to everything is great, depending on what side of the building your room is it can be very loud, we were literally above and opposite some very large restaurants and Most nights we were not getting to sleep until around midnight, when the football was on it went as long as 2am before the restaurants behind us stopped making loads of noise
