Great location

No air con. Boiling hot. Arrived dropped bags. Didn’t realise no air con. Had to open windows extremely noisy all night. Saw a sign with an offer of fan in the morning. Not sure blowing warm air around would help.

Hotel staff were great, facilities were great, children enjoyed the pool. Would stay again!

On our 2nd day the breakfast seemed to come out really slow, not enough for everyone that came down at a certain time.

Czystość zwłaszcza w częściach wspólnych, lekko zurzyte sprzęty. Brak szlafroków, kapci/klapek. Dość malutkie pokoje. Widok z okna słaby ;(

Close to city centre

The location is excellent. A short walk from the train station, the docks and the centre. Breakfast was good, never too busy and always replenished. Our room was big but a little dated and tired. However the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and attended every day by cleaners. The blackout curtains worked well.

The room could do with a revamp. For the money paid, I expected it to be a little more modern and fresh. There was quite a lot of dust on the ceiling where the air is drawn in/out by the room heater/cooler. Just a minor issue/attention to detail, but didn't cause any discomfort.

Too much building work, waking my toddler up at 6am and when we messaged the hotel we got no reply. We traveled for a wedding and it made my son tired for the whole day. We understand building work can’t be helped but would have like a room at the other side seen as we were traveling with a toddler

The shower room and bathroom weren’t that great

The room was comfortable, providing a welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a long day. It was equipped with all the necessary facilities and high-speed internet access, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Additionally, the selection of breakfast featured a variety of options ranging from fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes, making each morning a delightful experience.

Staff managed to fit us in for a pool session In the morning even though it was fully booked which made my kids very happy.

Logisch, maar je moest reserveren voor het zwembad, dit hadden we graag vooraf geweten! Het weekend zat alles vol! Ontbijt was niet bijzonder. Beetje verouderde kamer.

Breakfast room was too busy

I arrived at Novotel Liverpool Centre with my 12-year-old daughter expecting a straightforward check-in. Instead, our booking was cancelled and we were left needing alternative accommodation—all because I politely pointed out a discrepancy in the hotel’s own breakfast information. A sign inside the hotel stated that breakfast ended at 10:00 am, while the receptionist gave us a different time. When I mentioned what the sign said, rather than simply acknowledging the conflicting information, the receptionist became dismissive and argumentative. When the Duty Manager was called over, I began recording the interaction on my phone. Throughout the conversation, including before the recording began, I remained calm and polite. I did not raise my voice, swear or behave aggressively. What happened next was astonishing. Instead of taking control, resolving the misunderstanding and de-escalating such a minor issue, the Duty Manager displayed a complete lack of leadership. The receptionist told the manager to cancel our booking, and the manager simply agreed—leaving a father and his 12-year-old daughter without accommodation over a harmless disagreement about a breakfast sign. I later raised the matter with the General Manager, Mathieu Batut, hoping that somebody in senior management would review what had happened objectively and recognise how badly it had been handled. Unfortunately, he supported the actions of his staff and accepted no responsibility. That response is perhaps even more concerning than the original incident. If the receptionist, Duty Manager and General Manager can all look at these circumstances and conclude that the paying guest was at fault, it raises serious questions about whether any of them understand the most basic principles of hospitality. Staff working in hospitality should be capable of listening, calming a situation and finding a reasonable solution—not escalating a trivial misunderstanding and then closing ranks to defend it. I asked at the time whether the hotel’s CCTV recorded audio and was told that it did not. My own video footage, however, allows people to see and hear part of the interaction for themselves, and it is available on YouTube. This was never really about breakfast times. It was about how hotel staff chose to respond to a customer politely questioning conflicting information. A matter that could have been resolved in seconds was needlessly escalated until a paying guest and his child were refused accommodation. In all my years of staying in hotels, I have never experienced such a complete failure of hospitality, judgment and leadership. Based on both the incident and management’s subsequent response, I could not recommend Novotel Liverpool Centre.

I liked the central location and it was close to the Qpark carpark. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms where spacious with comfortable beds. Overall the hotel was modern and clean. I would stay again.

I would honestly say I could not fault the hotel at all. It was a very pleasant experience.

Location of hotel, in walkong distance feom bus station, shopping centre etc. Hotel was lovely and clean. My daughter loved the pool.

Pool not as big as it looked in pictures, so you really have to prebook a slot to be sure to get a 45 min swim slot. But it is very enjoyable.

Absolutely lovely staff and the hotel was very central and I was delighted that the hotel kept my luggage after check out as I had a late evening flight home.

The pool was very murky - did not want to swim in it. Hot food at breakfast was barely warm. Toilet with no sink separate from main bathroom. Room very noisy - because no air conditioning you need to have windows open and loud busy road and building work starting very early. Arrived with empty can etc... from previous guests. We have stayed many times with Novotel and choose it as we have always had positive experience but sadly this time we didn't.

Breakfast not included and seemed pricey as an add on given the large number of alternative options nearby. There was only one breakfast teabag provided in a room for two and hardly any tissues in the bathroom but we were a long way from reception so didn’t bother going to ask for more.

Goeie locatie om het centrum van Liverpool te bezoeken. De buurt achter het hotel, the Baltic Triangle, is zeer hip, met veel toffe restaurants. Het personeel is vriendelijk en geeft graag tips om je bezoek aan Liverpool te optimaliseren. De locatie is gemakkelijk te bereiken met de auto. De kamer was comfortabel.

Zwembad is niet de moeite waard: erg klein, bijzonder druk, ondanks dat je moet reserveren. Ontbijt is druk en aanbod is vrij beperkt.

Really great location for families to navigate the city centre. The room was clean and quiet, so we had a good nights sleep. The swimming pool was a bonus for the kids! Parking close by was really useful as well (using the hotels discount code) Staff were super helpful opening our safe, as the kids had accidentally locked it 🙈 Breakfast had a good array of options. Super cheap all round!

Stayed here to take kids to pool but was fully booked out so didn’t get the chance. On that basis not having the pool we could have stayed in another hotel, pretty central at cheaper price.

Excellent location for the docks, Liverpool One, numerous bars and restaurants.Staff on reception were very pleasant and helpful, we stayed in an executive suite which was very spacious with a comfy bed and facilities. We treated ourselves to breakfast in bed for only £5 extra, superb,. Lovely bar area with 2 for 1 cocktails. Pool area excellent we found early afternoon a quiet time and had the pool to ourselves. Would definitely return and recommend

The rooms bins , iron and kettles were covered in rust most of the staff don’t speak English it was very difficult to communicate language barrier but they were friendly

When i arrived to check in one of the staff members just left, another one cane who was rude and seemed racist and was giving my place in the queue to someone else. She also didn't say anything about the view of the room which was at the busy parking when i asked for a "cooler room".

The location was great, close to the areas we were visiting while we were staying and to the train station. We shared a twin room the beds were very comfortable and larger than a normal single. There was a small issue with a broken socket which we reported to reception we also requested a fan as we were on our way out, the service was fantastic socket was replaced and fan was in our room when we returned. We had a great stay and will definitely return next time we are visiting Liverpool.

The breakfast could been a bit better. The pancakes where to slow, the scrambled egg was not good.
