The hotel is nice. Receptionist staff (not the manager) tried their best. Bar staff were really helpful.

There is no fridge in the rooms, Leonardo hotel across the road does. The bed smelled like it's not been changed in months. There was mould growing on the corner of the bed. The shower had no power and taking a shower took longer than needed because of this. The room is poorly lit. Some of the plug sockets were not working. The doors bang really loud in the corridor. The reception manager didn't respond to when I said hi to him. (He heard me as it was just us there) I wouldn't stay here again, it didn't feel like a Hilton. Really disappointing

Super comfortable beds and pillows, excellent location, had a view of Docks and Liverpool one. Convenient parking ( qpark) with pre book discount code. Easy check in/out.

The efforts from the staff to make us feel welcomed and comfortable was outstanding 😁 and the little anniversary card and petals on our bed were a lovely touch.

Cost of the drinks meant that we didn't make use of the bar/lounge area.

The tv was too small, there were moths in our room and al lot of moth holes in the lamps and curtains. Definitely needs modernising

Sehr schmutzig (Teppichböden in den Zimmern), sehr alt und abgenutzt. Wir sind zu 5. angereist, mit Zusatzbett wäre kein Platz mehr gewesen. Dann mussten wir auf Suite aufzahlen, aber selbst dort waren die Möbel stark abgenutzt und die Teppichböden absolut unhygienisch

Staff and customer experience. There were people vaping in the bar area with bar staff witnessing it and blatantly ignoring it.

Location was great, facilities were clean and comfortable. Being near Albert Dock it was close to everything, just a short walk and you arrived.

My husband and I stayed here for one night to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. On arrival we were offered an upgrade to a deluxe king room for an extra £5 which we thought was a treat. It took a while to check in though as there was only one staff member on reception with a long queue to attend to and a couple waiting to collect their bags from left luggage. The room itself (613) was larger than a standard room with a nice view of the Albert Docks but other than that it's hard to see the advantage of a deluxe king room over a standard one and we certainly wouldn't have paid the usual rate. The room was clean and comfortable, if a little worn/tired but there were a few issues that didn't reflect what we would expect from a Hilton hotel. The wireless charging pad next to the bed had an exposed wire and the PAT testing was out of date. The shower gel by the bath was empty and some of the lighting in the room wasn't working. We booked a meal in the restaurant but couldn't really enjoy it because firstly there was only one staff member on the bar and we waited a while to be seated and then a further long wait for our order to be taken, and secondly the bar area and restaurant were pretty much one and the same so unfortunately we were there whilst a football match was being played on the projector screen and as you'd expect, there was lots of cheering and shouting that interrupted our quiet anniversary dinner. I would have expected the restaurant to be separate from the bar area. When the food came, it was cooked well and enjoyable, but breakfast the following morning was a different matter. We only ate the cooked breakfast so cannot comment on the rest but we've had better cooked breakfasts from a cheap greasy spoon cafe. The sausage was too herby for my liking and the bacon tasted awful and I wasn't able to cut it up with my knife and fork as it was hard, dry and had a strange colour, taste and texture. We didn't try a lot of the breakfast items as they didn't look very appetising. We have had great breakfasts at other Hilton hotels in the past and even a Premier Inn breakfast trumps this offering. There were positives. This hotel is in a great location and the air conditioning in the room was very good. Staff were always very polite, friendly and helpful when you could find them and they are a credit to the hotel, but it seemed that this hotel was understaffed. We are unlikely to stay at this particular hotel again, but would still visit a different Hilton hotel in the future.

I booked two nights to include breakfast. I was then charged £48 for breakfast upon check in. After getting to room and then checking my booking online, it confirmed breakfast was included. I questioned this with night receptionists and they confirmed that they could see the same on their screens and couldn’t understand why the afternoon staff member charged me. I was refunded.

The perfect location. A One minute walk from the Q one car park, very central, had the upside down house next to it as well as the mall.

As a Gold member I got a good deal here and was looking forward to a few relaxing days in a conveniently central location. Check in was efficient. I had an executive room on the 6th floor overlooking the walkway between the waterfront and the L1 centre. It was unlike any executive room I've stayed in elsewhere, with very few amenities. There was a distinct lack of sockets (there really should be one next to the bed) and no tumblers (for toothbrush etc.) or disposal bags in the bathroom, only one lone shower cap. The leather 'armchair' was decidedly shabby and the net curtain was hanging off at one end. The air con worked but was quite noisy - kept me awake on my first night. On the positive side the bed was extreme comfortable! The Executive lounge was a shock. It's nothing more than a windowless (two small interior windows facing reception) space on the ground floor; the carpet is horrible and I didn't feel at all relaxed in there. Maybe I've been spoiled by the wonderful Lounge in the Malta Hilton....... The one other positive point was the breakfast, which offers a very good selection, though the tables are too close together for my liking (I know, space has to be used efficiently!). Nick and Helen were so friendly and helpful, top marks to them. Overall, this hotel does not come up to the usual Hilton standard and needs a good makeover to bring it up to the brand standard.

I agree with the other reviewers saying the hotel is dated and generally not ideal. There was a note in the room saying that non-members have to pay £2 for the water, which is fair enough, but the piece of paper had some brown stains on it - hopefully coffee? How did the hotel staff not notice this? The design of the bathroom sink is so bad it is honestly hilarious - the positioning of the tap means it's almost impossible to actually wash your hands. Why did nobody think of this? There is walk in shower, and no rainfall shower head. The location is obviously ideal, but other than that it doesn't have much going for it. From a full service Hilton you would just expect a higher standard. I got this for a decent price, so I'm not too disappointed, but I wouldn't really come back either.

stay here for 3 nights dbb.fabulous stay.very quick checkin had a room on second floor overlooking harbour and shopping centre.room good size comfy bed tea coffee,plenty of hanging space,nice bathroom with shower over bath.staff were very friendly,food at breakfast selection was excellent and atmosphere was nice,dinner had a choice of 2 courses,couldn't fault potions and quality,again staff very friendly.drinks in bar only had stella was £6.20 a pint.very close to shops,bars,and docks.will stay here again next time we visit.

The living room and bedroom are very dated, and I feel the tea and coffee should be within the kitchen not the bedroom, there also needs to be sockets on both sides of the bed.

I was contacted less than 24hrs before check-in, initially by phone call but I was unable to answer, and I then received a email via Booking.com. I was not able to stay at the Hilton as they had overbooked, how this is possible I do not know. I struggle to believe that less than 24hrs before my booking, they noticed they didn't have any room. Poor planning. They did however move the booking to another hotel. But I had booked to stay in the Hilton, because I wanted to stay in a Hilton.

The limited parking on premises and lack of clear instructions on booking as this issue and simple guidance or suggestion to use private car park and direction from there to hotel would easy the stress/panic as too where do I stop as a first time visitor to the city.

It's been a number of years since we've stayed at this Hilton, and we were very disappointed. The location is still excellent, along with the staff. The rooms are a good size and are kept clean. Although fittings are careworn. The reason there are only 3 stars is because the communal areas are nothing short of shabby. Not careworn, shabby. The carpet in the executive lounge is disgusting, covered in stains. The bar area isn't much better. This place needs a lot of money thrown at it.

Bedroom needed attention. Air con very noisy, had to switch it off at night - in a heatwave as well!! Bed was very uncomfortable, creaked whenever someone moved - and I mean creaked so loudly it woke both of us up. The hotel allow vagrants to walk into the restaurant at breakfast and eat what they want from the buffet. The hotel management deny this happens, we told them we had seen it and the restaurant staff say it happens all the time.

I’ve always wanted to stay here since it was built as it looks so modern. Therefore we booked a room here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. First impressions were not good. The revolving door at the entrance wasn’t working and they’ve decorated the impressive glass stairway with fairy lights which might be acceptable at Christmas but the rest of the year looks tacky. As we arrived before check in, so we made use of the exec lounge. Slim pickings here in comparison to other Hilton’s. Also, inappropriately there was an elderly Lady (who’s husband had just passed away) in there being supported by a staff member, surely this is not the appropriate place, an office or private room? We then went out to visit the Tate exhibition, returning just before 3pm, to be told by the receptionist that our room wasn’t ready but to wait in the exec lounge, as she really wanted us to have this room, given it was our anniversary. We waited 40 minutes. I’d expected someone to come to tell us the room was ready but they didn’t. Went to reception to discover it was ready. Had to go through the check-in process and checking of ID for a second time! Got to the room- 501. What a disappointment! Great view but the room itself was shabby: ill fitting carpet, cracked tiles in the bathroom, one tile replaced on the floor with the wrong colour and really poor sealing, all of the furniture had scratches and chips in them. Peeling wallpaper, dirty marks on wall paper, the skirting on the wardrobe and tv stand was discoloured from what looked like water damage or a fire. The fridge was missing from the cupboard. Went to get ice for the ice bucket, no ice machine anymore, had to go down to the bar. Don’t bother ringing reception as they NEVER answer the phone. Rang 9-10 times over the course of the evening and a few times in the morning not once did anyone answer. Around the hotel general maintenance is poor, holes in the floor in the breakfast buffet area, duck tape holding tiles together. The ladies bathroom the locks have been ‘mended’ in a shoddy way. Good points were the AC worked and the variety on the breakfast buffet was good, although the quality of the food was poor in comparison to other Hilton’s. This place does not deserve the Hilton branding and it has put us off booking another Hilton in the future despite being Hilton Honors members for 18 years.

Usual Hilton rubbish of ‘thank you for your loyalty’ here’s absolutely NOTHING in return. Ruined the whole trip. Breakfast was nice 👍

We had a wonderful four-night stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. A special mention must go to Tina, the manager on reception, who was absolutely amazing. We contacted her about a problem we experienced during our stay, and she went above and beyond to rectify it and make sure we were happy, which really made a difference to our stay. The hotel itself was immaculate, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and all of the staff were friendly, approachable and so helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to say a huge thank you to Tina and the whole team for making us feel so welcome. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Diana

Wieder in einem Hilton Probleme mit dem Parkplatz. Diesmal musste man seinen Fahrzeugschlüssel an der Rezeption abgeben und dann war es angeblich ein öffentlicher Parkplatz - direkt am Hoteleingang - welchen man mittels Automat bezahlen musste. Nachdem dann keine Quittung (Geschäftsreise) aus dem Automat kam, wollte Personal bei Anreise nicht helfen, versprach dann widerwillig sich darum zu kümmern, hat aber nichts gemacht. Personal später wusste nichts davon, hat sich dann sofort dem Thema angenommen und in 5 Minuten klären und lösen können.

I had booked a breakfast and dinner. But we couldn't have dinner as I wedding was taking place. We were told dinner would be taken P MA bar if I had known would have just booked for breakfast. The meal was very good but having people lining up to be served drinks while your trying to eat was very off putting. The staff were very attentive asking how the meal was and the wine. The only thing I noticed was were we had being sitting in a booth the floor had food which had not been removed and the carpet was frayed in areas which could become a safety risk. Also we couldn't get WiFi we did ask at desk but he just said you need to be a Hilton member which is confusing as a guest surely every guest can access WiFi. Apart from that it was a enjoyable stay.

Room 636. Tiles on the bathroom floor broken plus 1 tile on the wall.1 tile loose fitting and 1 tile raised up causing a trip hazard. No fridge in the room. Hotel information on the internet needs updating.eg. bottled water in the room each day but only provided on day1. Executive lounge gives the false impression that alcohol is available from 6-10pm. Beer replaced in the fridge with warm beer which was undrinkable. No bottled water in the lounge. Breakfast average. Coffee from 1 machine was luke warm.Fried eggs were a little undercooked and scrambled eggs runny and lacking taste. Juices,cereals and continental breakfast good. Door to our room was very heavy and difficult to open !!

Stayed here whilst watching the Open Golf and if you want a clean room and bed then probably OK but if you want to eat and drink then this place is a struggle . We arrived back after the golf and decided to eat in the Hotel restaurant and when we tried to enter at 8:40pm we were asked "are you here for the speed dating ? " we laughed and thought it was some sort of a joke . But no they had closed the restaurant to hold speed dating and in the large restaurant were 10 people doing speed dating. The hotel was full of people attending the golf most booked through hospitality companies . We spoke to 3 other couples in the bar that had also been turned away and thought it bizzare and some were contacting the agent they booked through. I did ask the Bar Manager why would they do that- a struggling down market 3 star hotel might do it to try and make some money but the Hilton !!! He was utterly disinterested so we and the other couple went out for drinks and to eat . Aside from terrible service for guests this has to be commercial madness .
