The hotel is conveniently located close to the station. We got an upgraded room, which was very nice and comfortable.

Hotel doesn’t have a relaxing lounge/ common room. Bathroom floor was not super clean. Overall a good hotel for few days in Madurai

L’odore di muffa derivato dal fatto che non si possono aprire le finestre

De ligging is ideaal, tegenover het station. Handig als je in de ochtend de trein weer moet pakken. En korte afstand van de bezienswaardigheden. We hadden 2 nachtjes geboekt, kwamen in de avond aan, daarom deze locatie gekozen. Zorg dat je bij het avondeten op tijd aanschuift, rond 19:00 a 20:00 uur, anders kan het eten koud zijn, buffet. We zijn eerder gaan eten op de 2e avond, het was daarom ook beter en warm. Ontbijt is wel erg fijn en wat beter dan de avond. Service is prima. Bed goed en lakens/ kussens roken fris en schoon. Massagestoel op de kamer was leuk.

Prijs kwaliteit - we zijn in betere hotels geweest die goedkoper waren. Maar het is vooral de ligging en de stad waar je extra voor betaald. Het is wat verouderd hotel maar prima voor 2 nachtjes.

Nice room. Comfortable and the massage chair was an unexpected bonus. The staff were great, helpful and cheerful. Room service, laundry and cleaning were great.

The location, and the traffic, and the unpleasant smell around the neighbourhood (sewage maybe?), made it a challenging place to walk around, or to want to eat in the vicinity. The buffet at dinner was awful because the a/c was set so high that everything was being heated by burners from the bottom but cooled, by the a/c from the top! My dal tasted like it had come out of the fridge! Also, the charge is 800rs regardless of whether you are eating from the vegetarian or the meat side!

Nachdem in unserem Zimmer die Klimaanlage zu stinken begann, wurden sofort die Techniker gerufen und wir konnten Zimmer wechseln. Sehr nah am Bahnhof, fussläufig zum Tempel (ca. 15 Minuten laufen). Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Der Preis ist zu hoch. Wir hatten bessere Unterkünfte für einen viel geringeren Preis. Leider keine öffentliche Terrasse/Dachterrasse.

Property is old and needs serious renovation. Towels proved were worn out. There was some smell in the property, proving it’s old property and they are dragging with it. Bed linen was so old, they need to invest before they charge serious money

L'accueil à l'arrivée est plutôt sympathique, même si le personnel se disperse en menant plieurs actions en même temps, donc on attend. L'hôtel très bien situé ce qui ne l'empêche pas de vieillir sans trop de cure de rafraîchissement! Le petit déjeuner est surtout local mais généreux et très varié. Des reproches mais l'établissement reste une valeur sûre.

Hotel location is very good, rooms are convenient, however, they should upgrade the rooms as they have become old and cleanliness especially of the washroom has to be improved. Even the toiletries kept at the washroom should be changed to be compliant with ESG.

Rooms ambience could have been better. Lighting could have been better, Washroom should be ESG Compliant by keeping dispensable Shower gel and Shampoo instead of soap and miniature bottled shower gel etc. Cleanliness of washroom was not satisfactory. Food choice was not at all good. They did not keep non-onion and non-garlic food and also no authentic Tamil Nadu food which should have been there. It's important that they improve upon all these

Hotel de bon standing à coté de la gare. C'est vraiment à coté, ~150 m, même pas besoin de un tuc-tuc, très pratique surtout si vous avez des train tôt le matin ou tard le soir. Aussi assez proche du temple Meenakshi et du centre. Bon restaurant (dosai à la carte), très bon petit dej. Pour le même prix préférez la chambre "supérieure" à celle "exécutive". Nous avons eu les deux (aller et retour) et elles étaient confortables, bon lits, propres. Petit dej à partir de 7:30 ... si vous partez tôt ils peuvent vous fournir un petit panier à emporter. Hotel pratique je recommande, surtout si vous etes de passage. bien situé aussi pour la route vers Munnar/Tekkadi.

RAS. Bon ..... pas grand charme, quartier bruyant et pas top. Donc pour longues séjours dans la ville il y a peut être mieux. Mais ... ce n'est pas ce qu'on cherchait.

The amenities are very good, the staff is very friendly and helpful, it’s proximity to Meenakshi Temple and the Railway station makes it a perfect place for a short visit to the city of Madurai.

The size and the comfort of the room. A very good bed. Very quiet although on a fairly noisy street. 3 minutes walking to the train station. The courtesy of the staff. The global standing of the hotel. clearly superior to many other hotels in Madurai for a fair price.

The room would have been perfect if unfortunately the bathroom had been in better condition. Especially the bathtub very damaged and not very appetizing (but with a new shower system), and the toilets which was partially clean. The room service is efficient but the vegetarian food is not good. But when you're tired, it's nice to have the possibility to eat in your room!

This is one of the most classy hotels in town, and the price and service reflects that. For travelers coming from outside India the style may feel a bit formal and faux "fancy/outdated", but the beds are comfortable, the rooms are large and well-equipped, and the hotel restaurant is rated among the best in the city (most meals are buffet style and well-priced, though we didn't get to enjoy one for reasons I'm about to explain). I really have to give them kudos for their response when my husband started experiencing a particularly violent and unrelenting and scary form of food poisoning (NOT from the hotel restaurant). First, it was obvious they were well prepared to help guests with milder versions (they had a whole box of medicine available for the taking) and, when I explained we had already tried the Imodium-and-Tylenol route and all medications had been hastily expelled, they rapidly called the hospital, arranged us transport that would wait for us to return, and were 100% ready to help us from the room (he was ultimately able to walk out to the cab on his own without any assistance, but there was a moment when I really wasn't sure he would be able to manage). I'm quite grateful that we were at such a high-touch place when we needed so much help.

As mentioned, the style reads a bit like cheap baroque, and the service can be a bit overbearing by my standards (somebody knocking on the door to ask if we were satisfied with the mid-day cleaning, somebody showing up an hour before check-out to offer to wheel our bags downstairs). I'd mostly chalk this up to different cultural expectations, though, and as mentioned above I was VERY grateful for the hands-on attention when we needed it.

The staff was very kind and supporting. We extended our stay for one more night. The hotel is very close to the city centre and main attractions. Breakfast was included in the final price.

In our first room there was a loud noise, but the staff reacted immediately and gave us another room. On the first evening Wi-Fi wasn't working. The staff fixed that issue within one day.

Room was clean and spacious

The kettle did not work. Initially the staff was hesitant , saying that the hotel was fully booked and they couldn't provide me with a functional kettle. They insisted on trying it at various outlets, despite my saying that I have already done so and I was getting late since I had a flight to catch. On my insistence, they did get me akettel after about 5 minutes. However, the moment the new kettle was plugged in, the electricity connection tripped. Again I had to call the person , who came after 5minutes. When there was no response, I asked the manager to please sed up acupuncture of coffee, since I was not able to even heat a glass of water in my room. Instead of him offering to help, his first response was that it would be chargeable. Very uncooperative staff , not willing to help, despite ether fact that the situation was of their own making, they were happy to ask me to pay again.

The stay was perfectly fine - nothing special, but we were able to sleep for the night before heading to the airport. It's on a busier road, but if you turn left when exiting the hotel and immediate turn left again, you can work your way back towards the temple on quieter streets and alleys. The massage chair in the room was an odd but pleasant surprise.

The wifi is basically unusable - performance is fine when it works, but it completely drops every few minutes, for between 30 seconds and a few minutes. There are a ton of different SSIDs (one for each block of a few rooms) but they all have the same behavior, so it seems like it's further upstream. They showed us to our room, then 10 minutes later knocked and said they were moving us to a different room with no explanation. They even started grabbing our things, which we'd already started unpacking. Super awkward.
