Overall, I was super happy with my stay at the Broadway Hotel. My single room booking was upgraded to a lovely, bright and airy double room, with a bath and shower overhead. All staff were super friendly, engaging and highly professional. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Towels were bright white and plush. Bed, pillows and bedding were very comfortable. Room had a large, sash window, which I was able to open, inc blackout curtains, which are always a bonus. I had slight issues with the TV and the shower, which were immediately sorted (I had to be shown how to use them). There was a great choice at breakfast time, inc a variety of cereals, yogurts, fruit juices, grapefruit pieces, toast, croissants, jam and butter. Plus, a freshly prepared full English breakfast: bacon, sausage, mushrooms, hash brown, black pudding, beans, fried bread, grilled tomato and eggs (your way).

Personal preference is to have wooden coat hangers, as opposed to plastic and wire hangers.

Excellent staff very clean highly recommend would definitely stay again

Best thing was leaving. location is good, it’s one block from beachfront, close to shops and very close to the train station.

It is just run down and grotty. Looks ok from the outside but my room had a tiny window with paint stains on the outside looking out directly on a fire escape. Room was absolutely filthy, dust everywhere. It’s clear they change the sheets and do little else. Down the side/under the bed looks like it has never been cleaned ever. I don’t know how any staff could look at the room and think it would be suitable for a paying guest. Couldn’t control the temperature in the room. Whole plug socket was very lose in the wall. I was disappointed with the quality of the hotel, it is neglected and I would not stay again. Thankfully my stay was 1 night only, if it was longer I would probably have just changed hotels.

Not at all maintained, needs major major upgrade. The bed was okay, but the sheets were hard and not comfortable to feel. The breakfast was kind of okay

The Room was lovely but sadly rather noisy thanks to unsociable motorists driving past during the night. The Breakfast was adequate.

I was unable to have a decent shower due to the water from the shower being boiling hot. So I had to have baths. I was sad there was no plain Yogurt at Breakfast only sweet Yogurt. Had to go next door for my coffee as Decaff Coffee not possible in the Hotel.

Parking could be difficult for late evening arrival.

All night parking is available on various locations within 5 minute's walk. Parking close enough to carry heavy luggage, very limited.

TV didnt work

Great location and easy to park for free on the local streets after 6pm. Great breakfast and overall was half the price of the premier inn across the street.

Property is dated overall but I’d say most are in this area. My room was on the small side and the tv was mounted to the side of the bed making it difficult to watch when in bed. Also the original shower was broken so had to use the handheld shower off the tap but very powerful.

Lovely friendly, helpful, courteous staff, great breakfast too. I arrived early but Ross said I could go up anyway as my room was ready.. great as I'd travelled overnight. No complicated check in procedures.. very straight forward and I wasn't asked for a security deposit. Room was basic but very clean, my room had a bath and the water was lovely and hot. Lovely soft white towels provided. A small fridge in the room as well as electric kettle which was handy. A comfy bed and crisp white sheets with comfortable pillows. Would definitely stay again, it was good value.

If you're looking for posh this isn't it... A little rough around the edges but it doesn't pretend to be anything other than budget.

Very rude erupt staff and im assuming there English is not very good. My bed was comfortable but the bathroom tiles are cracked, over head basin light not working and the over bed light had wires hanging out like the table lamp. My friend in another hotel visited me and they kicked as well as me. They thought id got a hooker freebe stay the night. Later bang bang on my door was the Indian mafia. I couldnt stop laughing because the reminded me of the Drissco Brothers.. No hot water in the morning for a bath and I did run it for almost an hour. When i left i found out by another hotel that they mainly cater for the homeless. Ill give 5 stars for the full english, the room was ok ish but the staff can be aggressive and gang up..

Were do I being one of the days no hot water the sink in the bath room was so small you could not fit a full size cup in there was no drinking water signs anywhere so had to use the bathroom sink for drinking water the bath room had 28 tiles on the floor and 11 was broken i actually cut my foot on one that was loose and lifted up and cut my foot the open wardrobe was hanging off the wall ready to fall on somebody the bed side light never worked and had wires hanging out the shower panel was fix so you had to stand in the bath to turn the water on and obviously get wet doing so there was no safety signs telling you what to do in an emergency every hotel needs these by law all so the the electrical devices and appliances need to be pat tested none were no sticks on anything photos to prove the bed was so warn out it actually had a 5 inch dip in the middle the mattress was hanging over the base by 1 foot the window was filthy with paint and about a years worth of dirt on it as I was leaving there was nobody to tell about these problems I wanted to speak to the manager or somebody over these problems there was a bell type of thing next to the signing in desk I pressed the button over and over again nobody come to the desk to deal with me

We both enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Everything we needed was at the hotel and we both were pleased with the room. Breakfast was great which gave us a great start for the day. Thanks to the staff.

The location of the hotel is a little tricky but we managed O.K. The steps at the entrance are very steep but we accepted before booking the hotel.

Close to the pier and nearby shops/cafes and train station.

Mouldy shower curtain and shower head. Unpleasant smells in bathroom and old wardrobe. Sink was right next to our bed, which was clogged.

The mattress was very very hard and uncomfortable, in fact we left at 4am due to not being able to sleep. A little TLC to the room would be a great improvement.

Room was comfortable and hotel was close to music venue. Breakfast was good.

The shower temperature wasn’t working it was just boiling hot. It’s loud when you flush or someone else does. Didn’t find assistance at check out even after ringing bell. No car park. Bathroom sink hot tap was a struggle to open and then fully close.

The bathroom had a septic tank that smelled really bad even when turning on the tap to wash. Smelled like too late waste. The curtains were hanging off and stained. One of the plug sockets had duck tape over it and the wall borders were partially missing. Very run down. We had one member of staff come to take a look at our concerns and he said he would mention it to the manager which was nowhere to be seen even on checkout. We feel completely robbed of our money. Definitely not worth £101

Location suited my needs

The room was a disgrace , peeling paint, torn curtains , cracked loose tiles , paint on the bath and windows, no sink plug , mold around shower screen, mold on window, no join between floor tiles and carpet - unlevel. Dirty toilet pipes , loose entrance room door handle. Smelly bed linen .

Friendly staff. Our first room had a ridiculously noisy fan in the bathroom so they swapped our room quickly with no problem. Clean, spacious room, toiletries provided, great breakfast at a great price. Lovely dining room and bar area but didn't serve very late. Perfect location for the theatre.

No hairdryer, only a nozzle so no idea where the hairdryer was. Noisy floorboards and noise from the street, but always take earplugs whenever I stay away so didn't disturb too much. Very dated and in need of refurbishment but could see that from photos before I booked so knew what to expect and it was super clean which is most important. Much cheaper then the majority of the hotels in Llandudno so we were happy and you get what you pay for.

Very small room 109. Looking a the side on the back on a bit of a roof where a lot of old dirt accumulated Clear it up please and make sure that area is clean I drew curtain , 1 piece so didn’t have to look at it . Bathroom. Very shabby fillings all over and bottom of toilet full with brown staines. A good scrub is needed. Patch up big chip mark on bath .

Trailing electric cables Sink in the bedroom rather than bathroom. You could not literally” swing a cat” in the bathroom. No hairdryer.

The staff were lovely and very friendly ,room was ok with just a few niggles but nothing that cannot be fixed with just a little more care from cleaners/handyman - toilet seat kept coming loose and shower tiles were clean but just needed Mr Muscle mould and mildew sprayed on them to get inbetween the grout ,towels were lovely soft and white . The curtains in the room had come off from the rail in places, tea and coffee facilities,tv , the bed was comfortable but definitely needed harder pillows 👍🏻 Would I stay again and the answer would be most definitely ,oh and in a great location to everything else or within walking distance

The building is old. No elevators. Things inside are old, bed frame is broken, it needs a renovation i think. The toilets have moulds.

I liked the location.

We booked the hotel for this expensive price looking at the pictures in booking.com but the room that was given to us had a bad odour and a damp smell that was not good. We didn't have enough toiletries and the place is just too old to stay. Overall, it looked like a place too old to be called a hotel.

Staff were v welcoming manager was v polite ..breakfast was on time and atmosphere was outstanding 👌..highly recommended

Walking shower as guests could not get in bath to use shower.

Very convenient location. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. For the price of one night it was very reasonable, I would stay there again.

The room was quite warm so we had to have the window open all night and it was very loud outside, but I expected that when booking for this location. Not necessarily a fault, just a heads up for anyone thinking of booking.

Good location and a fascinating old British style environment

Room 104 shower had only boiling hot water, no way to take a shower for a normal human being. Rang reception bell twice without any response (it was not even 11 pm). Breakfast request for just plain hot milk was denied because apparently milk can’t be heated up, only cold. But they can warm up water (sic…) Then breakfast service plate had also staff hairs in it (unacceptable in any way) Hospitality is not an easy job I’m aware, but this is just poor service and unprofessional way of doing it. Go to Premier Inn in front of it, I’m pretty sure it will be much better.

Breakfast was very good, the Manager (I think, he didn’t introduce himself at all) was very pleasant, he also served breakfast. Location very nice also.

Beds were clean, bathroom had damaged shower wall panels and bath panel. Dead fly trapped in the over sink light box. Squashed drink can trapped behind wardrobe, lots of dirt in the gap between wardrobe and wall. No bedside lamps, had to request an extension cord to move the only lamp in the room (paper shade, which was damaged) to plug in on the bedside table. Lots of water damage on the room ceiling. Shame as the communal areas are very well maintained.

The location was great, only a couple minute walk from the train station.

They told me I could keep my bags in before I checked in but when I got there the whole place was locked down and no one answered the doorbell. Also the bed was beyond uncomfortable. And the room was generally run down and dusty. The plumbing was incredibly bad, loud, and slow moving. Overall, would not recommend or stay there again myself.

Room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was quiet and pleasant. The staff member on reception was extremely helpful. My room had everything I needed. The bed was a generous size and very comfortable, my room also had a bath which was such a treat as most hotels only have showers.

Room spacious but looked tired. Bathroom in need of numerous repairs. Bed not made up after our 1st night. Breakfast served from 8-10 am but wasn't told in advance they stopped serving cooked breakfast after 9.30am. Found this out when I turned up at 9.33am.

Needs updating. The room smelt very musty. The outside off the bathroom window sill was full off bird dirt, had not been cleaned for a long time. Curtains did not fit the window, hanging off the curtain track.

I booked this hotel for a colleague and this was his opinion of the hotel: "In the room I discovered the toilet not flushed, and urine on the floor, curtains wont drawer, light flickers, desk falling apart, bed completely stained, bin with rubbish in, shower held up with cable ties. Bodily fluids on the shower wall, TV not working. WIFI also not working. Door Latch wont lock, so put a chair under handle and wedged it into bathroom. Rung the emergency number who said there was no room to swap to, and then tried to charge me for this room, saying it was not paid, and would call the police if I did not pay, I refused to pay any extra and calmly explained it was a corporate booking and it was already paid for, eventually the person on other end agreed. (I’d like to say language was difficult to understand). I asked what time breakfast was and got told 08:30 to 09:30, which sadly does not work when we need to be in venue by 08:45 ready for 09:00 on stage. As I write this email for the last 20 mins I been listening to doors slamming, and a people screaming and shouting. It is a hotel that on the front looks nice, but the inside is dated, tired, and lacks security, its not a hotel where you feel safe to leave your stuff." From conversations with locals, the general consensus is that if you're staying in the hotel you are brave. It was expressed a number of times that it is well know to be raided by the police and have visits from Environmental Health. After my complaint to the hotel, I was told that my colleague was lying about his experience, I have photo evidence that it is definitely not the case. Continued denying and pointing the finger at everyone else except yourself is disappointing, own your mistake and be better! We did see the hotel hurriedly throwing away bedding, and other items, as they are preparing for a visit from Environmental Health, did they get tipped off or was it just a hunch after our stay, who knows?

It was quite hot in the room and a very tiny window, maybe you can get a fan, I didn’t ask. It is a bit run down; peeling paintwork, frayed curtain, shabby chair. However for £50 for one night, the above things didn’t bother me too much as it was clean - it was reasonably priced.

Although there was no parking facilities it was easy to get to the hotel from the nearby shopping area. A very nice welcome and the check-in was straight forward. The room was very nice and the breakfast was good.

The sink in the toilet/shower room was a little awkward being small and low down. Along the corridor from our room there was a step which blended in with the carpet. Perhaps it needs some tape to remind everyone.

Location is very good close to the shops and the beach Value for the money but could do with updating. We enjoyed our stay

Ross the receptionist is very friendly and accommodating. I got a free upgrade from a single room to a double room, probably because I stayed from Monday to Friday, which was not busy. The location is also great. It is very close to the railway station and walking distance to all the tourist spots.

It is an old building, no AC and could get hot during summertime. Maybe a fan at least could be provided.

These old buildings always show and feel their age even though this particular building has been freshly painted and carpeted. There is very little if any parking at the hotel.
