The hotel had lift which was good for my husband as he struggles on his legs.didnt experience the breakfast as we ate out.the room was clean beds comfy

Would of preferred just a shower as my husband struggled to get in and out of bath for shower I was fine but he couldn't get comfy in bath /shower

Too many stairs on the floors once you came out of the lift. 7 steps down and 7 steps up to the room. My husband I’d disables and struggled with the stairs. We were not told about them beforehand. Had I been told I never would have booked there.

How close to location to town and theatre

We stayed in room 1 on ground floor no door between hallway and bar making it very noisy with customers in bar at night

The hotel was excellent in that it was on the promenade and overlooking the sea. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was at the front of the hotel and we had a sea view.. It was very clean and well furnished

It wasn't really disabled friendly, as we had to get on 2 lifts to get to our room. There was no disabled facilities in the bathroom. The shower had no rails to hold onto. The floor was slippery and there was no mat to stand on. There wasn't any rails on the toilet either.

Needs upgrading, room wasn't great , level of cleanliness needs looked at , pillow cases very dirty had to ask for them to be changed , then discovered the sheets were dirty too , the thick cover in the drawer under wardrobe was absolutely filthy. Handle on shower was broke didnt get fixed until next day and they just put one of those helping hands on it. Towels are very very small as well as shower isnt much room for getting washed in and im a petite lady. Bathroom needs looked at the finish round the edging of bathroom hadnt been finished off and was very dirty , random small holes in bathroom wall , light on mirror in bathroom didnt work and lamp at side of bed didnt work. Curtains in room werent long enough and didnt fit windows so light came in from underneath from the lights in the car park. Whole place just needs a good clean and needs some money spent on finishing off the things that need finished properly.

Convenient for shops & promenade, has it's own small car park at the rear.

De warmte en vriendelijkheid van het personeel. Ze deden, dat wat mogelijk was om het je naar de zin te maken. Mijn complimenten voor David, Eva en Remunda en̈ de anderen. De locatie was voortreffelijk: aan de boulevard, de zee en binnen 10 minuten lopen van het station. Ook was het hotel erg schoon.

Eigenlijk niets. Alleen een haardroger op de kamer was fijn geweest.

The hotel staff were nice and it was a clean room. The breakfast was lovely. The location was perfect.

The bathroom ceiling leaked through from the room above and the hotel staff member just put towels down to dry the water once the leak had stopped. They were going to leave us in the room but eventually changed our room when we complained again to one with a sea view

There was nowhere to hang towels to dry and we didn’t want to get them changed every day so ended up using wet towels.

The bathroom in room 33 is inadequate especially if you are of limited mobility. The sink is tiny, suitable for handwashing only, so difficult if you can’t manage the shower. Avoid when booking if this is an issue for you. Otherwise the room was quiet and comfortable.

Lovely hotel owner was such a lovely man couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was lovely and my room was very clean.

The hotel is a bit outdated.

The hotel is central on promenade and chosen as near to theatre. Room16 was large and had 2 big armchairs in bay window giving great view of sea and promenade both directions. Large tv. Well equipped brewing facilities replenished each day. Well stocked bar. Staff really nice and helpful. Didn't have breakfast so cant comment. Parking at rear first come. Free. Bit tight sometimes when full.

There is a lift but our room 16 required a small flight of stairs down then 8 stairs up after exiting lift on first floor. Bit awkward for wife difficult walking and accessing stairs. But we managed. Thats one of problems with these victoriana style buildings.

We had such a friendly welcome and got a parking spot which a bonus. We had a great family room for the 2 of us and our granddaughter with a fabulous view of the beach, pier and front. It was an excellent location. Breakfast was fresh and hot and service was lovely.

There was nothing we could complain about and I'm confident that everything was done to make our stay just great.

My room was clean enough but there was a musty smell. The room could do with a freshen up.

Plug socket hanging off wall ...reported said it was dangerous ...nothing done ...couldn't lock our door ! All paint chipping off toilet not cleaned daily asked for more milk he said I gave u some this morning ...and to top it off lift didn't work !

We loved the room, and the window we had in the room which looked directly onto the seafront. The staff were very lovely and greeted at every entrance and exit.

The room spacious high ceilings. Breakfast good portions able to alter the menu. Bed was clean and comfortable. Staff were very welcoming, approachable and provided information on request. Having a sea view room just added wow factor to our stay.

The bathroom sink plug function didn’t work. possibly consider some mid length curtain voiles for bit more privacy for when the main curtain is opened. Possible suggested solar light fitted above the name of the property as accidentally walked pass it on our way back.

Everything was of very good standard,,,,,a lovely family run hotel who look after you in every way,,,,,well worth a visit 👍😊

Lift wasn’t working and we were at the very top of the hotel -a lot of stairs!.

The location is great. Bed was comfy and we had a lovely sea view room. Very quiet.

When purchasing drinks, specifically lager, from the bar it had a very strong sewer smell to it - staff changed glass and we chose a another lager but again a very strong sewer smell from contents - this made us question a point of hygiene and resulted In us not using the bar or restaurant for rest of our stay -

Lift out of order but not their fault

It was a good location but the car park was very small so I had to park on the street. The lift was broken so had to haul the bags up 4 flights of stairs and the sink in the bathroom was miniscule. Staff were friendly.

Lift not working, no ice behind bar. Carpark very small and cramped. Sink very small in bathroom and shower cubicle very small.

Le personnel était incroyable, notamment le directeur à l'accueil. Ayant dormi dans d'autres hotels en ville auparavant, celui-ci fait parti des mieux rénovés, tout en gardant son charme. Une expérience vraiment géniale.

La douche électrique avait un peu de mal à chauffer le dernier jour, alternant du très chaud au froid, mais c'était le cas seulement le dernier jour. Le parking est assez petit, si vous avez une grosse voiture il vaut mieux payer £7 la journée sur le bord de mer.

We booked a room with sea view … absolutely wonderful, room also had 2 chairs to take in the view. The staff and owner were outstanding … nothing too much trouble and went out of their way to ensure we were ok.

Warm welcome. Closeness to the venue we were visiting. Prompt delivery to the room of extra milk I asked for early in the morning.

There was a hair in the sink. The room overlooked the back of the hotel. The bar wasn't open when we returned abt 10pm after the show; no-one had told us it wd be closed.

Limited parking space although it said parking on description I phoned hotel day before asking were parking was they said first come first served so mis advertised. There were about 10 spaces but 3x as many rooms.had to park on road took half hour to get a space.i only booked this place because it advertised parking.bed had biscuit wrappers underneath 😔

Wir hatten einen guten Aufenthalt im The Central Hotel und haben uns insgesamt wohlgefühlt. Besonders positiv ist uns der sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter am Empfang aufgefallen. Wir wurden nett begrüßt und haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Auch die Lage des Hotels ist Super und insgesamt hat alles gut funktioniert.

Das Hotel selbst ist allerdings schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnte an einigen Stellen eine Renovierung vertragen. Trotzdem war unser Aufenthalt angenehm und für ein paar Tage völlig in Ordnung.

excellent location, right on the front not far from literally anywhere you wanted to go, staff where unbelievably friendly & welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, nice little outside terraced area at front to have a beverage & sit, very reasonable bar prices also.

booking.com stated 11am check out when in actual fact it was 10:30am check out. so I recommend checking with the actually property before hand.

The staff were fabulous. Exceptionally friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable, shower was brilliant and the room was spotless. The bar and lounge were great and we sat outside enjoying the sea views with a glass of wine on both evenings.

We had windows facing the back of the property (in fact a glass door emergency exit), but they were frosted, so we couldn’t see outside. It was a shame, as the room was perfect apart from this-just felt a little enclosed without the chance to see the sky. No hair dryer which didn’t bother me.

The staff were very friendly and helpful couldn't do enough for us nothing was too much trouble. Everything we asked for was provided The manager even sorted my parking problem.

The receptionist was so friendly he even charged my phone for me because I forgot my charger. We left our bags as we can to early for check in. Every time you pass reception we were treated with a friendly hello have a nice day

Situated on the promenade it was ideally located. Manager/owner was friendly. We did not encounter many staff so can't comment on this. We did not eat on site as we were meeting friends elsewhere & dined with them. Private parking was a bonus. We would return in the future
