Leonardo Hotel Aberdeen

Perfect location within the Shopping Centre, close to plenty of places to eat and just a 10 minute walk from the concert we were attending. Room was very comfortable with a lovely view over the city. Checking In and Out were seamless. Were kindly given vouchers for money off in the Bar and also 2 free coffees.

Our windows were very dirty. Like i said the room had a terrific view of the city but the cleanliness of the windows spoiled it a little. Also one of the 2 lifts were broken so getting to the 7th floor did take a while.

Sophie on reception was excellent she managed to swap our rooms since I can’t use the lift. The cleaner on the 1st floor should be very proud of her work. The breakfast was great , good choices and the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever tasted. Well done to all the staff we encountered on our 2 days there

The bed and pillows were not to my liking. That’s just personal preference.

The hotel is in a great location to access the Ferry to Shetland and within a shopping precinct which was very convenient. The breakfast service and range was very good.

The room was very small and tired. It was on the first floor which I would avoid if possible. There was no view (other than air conditioning units and gravel). It was very basic and below average.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und liegt unmittelbar neben dem Bahnhof. Öffentliche Parkplätze befinden sich im Bahnhofsareal und sind sehr günstig. Die Rezeption ist über den Parkplatz und das Einkaufszentrum zu erreichen.

Die Zimmereinrichtung ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Badezimmerausstattung ebenso. Im Badezimmer waren Feuchtigkeitsschäden festzustellen. Das Frühstück lässt noch viele Wünsche offen.

It would be nice to have the bar open a little later, 00-30 last orders. Shower in the bath.

Hotel on Union Square shoppjng centre. Bus & trains are local. Also there is a variety of different foods. Everything is walking distance too.

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large, quiet and had a good view. Location was perfect.

Breakfast was cleared away at 10.31....I understand breakfast finished at 10.30 but there were many people still sitting and we were still eating. Travelling with a teenager we were later than I had planned but we arrived at 10.10 so we're half way through breakfast. Had someone warned us we would have collected tea and toast earlier but we didn't have the opportunity. I have never experienced this in any hotel and I have travelled extensively. It wouldn't have been so bad but one member of staff was rude. Customer service skills lacking!

Seagulls at 4 am which led to some guests banging on the window and slamming in shut repeatedly to try and get rid of the seagulls. The floors need a good clean

I complained about the frayed and stained carpet and stained divan base in my room and was immediately offered a better room. The people were very helpful and carried my luggage to the new room.

One of the two lifts was broken during the entire length of my stay. This caused me a lot of pain as I currently have a leg injury and had to spend long periods waiting for the only lift which was working. The hotel is badly in need of refurbishment. The carpet in the second room I was in had what looked like moth damage in the corner by the bed. The very old panel on the edge of the bath was wobbly. The fruit juice served at breakfast was watered down from concentrate and was horrible.

We booked the executive room, which when we arrived there was no Air condition. The Duty Manager Georgina kindly took some time and arranged another Executive room for us promptly .

The hotel is in a very convenient place in the city center, next to the station. It was great value for money.

Lovely welcome to the hotel , was a bit wary as last time I stayed they was several ethnic origin males sitting around the reception area and once we checked in , two off them followed us to the lifts where they came behind us one very close that I felt intimidated by this even though I was with my husband , they then followed us into the lift and again felt wary when we came out of lift to go to our room they followed behind us for one of then to tap my husband on the shoulder and say their is your room which was number 212 . It freaked me out them knowing our room number , we went into the room waited a few mins and then went back down to reception . I asked for my room to be changed as I didn’t feel safe and was anxious that they knew what room we was in . The lady in reception was very understanding and changed our room no bother at all. Seeing as we was staying for the weekend with friends i wanted to feel safe and to relax . So this time I booked as I was visiting the city with my elderly mother as we were attending a concert. The hotel is ideal as it’s got everything under one roof. So bit wary from my previous experience and only being myself and my mother but I was was delighted to see the reception area clear which I must say was a big relief and to be greeted by lovely staff the gentleman that checked us in was called Aiden a credit to your hotel along with all the other staff , they couldn’t be more welcoming and so lovely to deal with. Our rooms was spotless and I can honestly say this time our experience was amazing. Will definitely return and hope to see you all again when we return in October . Kind regards Karen

The location, the check-in experience at reception, space the spacious corner room having two windows, the comfy bed and linen and the lovely breakfast.

One lift was out of action. We were not made aware that on returning to the hotel in the evening we would have to use the outside entrance.

When I checked in around 22:00, the receptionist politely confirmed that my Business Invoice would be issued at checkout. However, during checkout at 06:45 on 5th September, the receptionist flatly refused to issue my invoice, rudely telling me to request it from Booking.com. I explained that I paid directly at the hotel using my credit card and that the evening staff assured me the invoice would be printed at checkout. Despite being a frequent guest at your hotel, the receptionist was extremely rude, completely dismissive, and did not even apologize for the wrong information given earlier. He just kept repeating the same statement without listening. To make matters worse, he didn't even ask for my company details to issue the correct tax document. Since payment was made directly to your terminal, no invoice exists on Booking.com. It is completely unacceptable to leave a guest without a VAT invoice for a direct payment made at your front desk.

No shower pressure 5th floor. I truly could pee harder. If you’re elderly, check if you’re getting a step in shower as I had to climb over a bath edge. My parents would not have managed this. Main floor area wasn’t vacuumed on arrival day. Much cleaner after room service the next day.

Not a dislike.....more an observation. The quality of the toilet roll is very poor and let's down the rest of quality of a stay in the hotel. I'm sure you could negotiate a good deal for better quality.

It says on the website prices from £72 and then never matches that. It’s always at least £40 more. I can stay in the Station Hotel over the road, and get 2 nights for the price of one night in Leonardos.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel when staying in Aberdeen. The staff were helpful and pleasant, when I asked for a quieter room they found me one without hesitation. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, cooked ( really nice sausages) and continental. The hotel is right next to the bus station and train station which made life very easy for a late arrival and an early departure and a 5 minute walk to Union Street. Also 10 minute walk to the harbour boat ride on which we saw dolphins right next to the boat! There were places to eat on the doorstep, a lovely stay.

I would have liked a safe in my room rather than having to ask the staff to open the box downstairs. However they were always quick and available when I wanted to open the safe deposit box.

The room was poor for a 4-star clam!! The double bed was quite small to what I would expect. The bathroom is very dated and had rotten wood that was painted over . Carpark is about a mile away and not very clear on the time limits. Some customers had issues paying with the NFC chip in this car park.

I paid for an executive double room, and I received a small and filthy room with seriously outdated facilities. I wouldn't stay here again. Even the fire alarm being set off and having to stand outside the hotel with every other guest in my pyjamas was better than staying in that hotel room.

Breakfast very good, certainly plenty of choice. Room was spacious and well kept. Was higher up in the building than previous visits and view was really something.

Menu, although good had occasion to return soup which when it came was a horrible mush.

Anreise mit dem Auto und das erreichen des Parkhauses war eine zeitaufwendige Odysee. Man muss das Gepäck durch den Bahnhof schleppen und sehr genau dedektieren, wie man ins eifentliche Hotel in dieser Mall kommt.
