Grand Park Otaru

駅からイオンへ通路がつながっていて、イオンとホテルがドア一枚でつながっていたのでとても便利で短時間で駅へ行けたのがよかったです。

アメニティにボディータオルがなかったのが残念でした。 スリッパがもう少しだけ大きいサイズだといいのにと思いました。

The hotel is ideally situated right in front of the marina, and the rooms offer stunning ocean views. It is a large-scale property directly connected to two shopping malls featuring a variety of dining options. As a 1990s build, it features remarkably spacious rooms and classic business-hotel service; while it shows some minor signs of age, our stay was overall very satisfying. We were travelling by car, so the slightly decentralized location was not an issue, though the complex appears to be connected to the city centre by local bus services. The main drawback is the evening scene in Otaru itself: being primarily a day-trip destination, most restaurants in town are either completely closed in the evening or shut down very early.

駐車場の入り口が狭すぎて、いきなり螺旋のカーブだったので、駐車場だけが凄く残念でした。

The Hotel is placed directly inside/on top of an Aeon Shopping Mall which is interesting and useful (there are many Shops, Restaurant and a big supermarket. The dining area gives a great view of the Marina.

The direct area offers not much but there is a bus line directly outside. Parking is 1500yen per day which is fair but given that there is nothing around the area you might aswell Park outside.

夜になると周りに出かけるところがなかったので、寂しかった

部屋の壁が薄いのか? 隣室のお子さんの泣く声とお母様の叱る声が ずっと続き全く眠る事が出来なかった。 もう何度も利用させて頂いてますが 今回フロントの対応があまり良くなかった

Our recent overnight stay here was lovely. Whilst the rooms are outdated, they are very comfortable, clean and tidy. Location perfect with train station only 5 min walk away and a huge shopping centre attached with plenty of food options. Touristy stuff is an easy 15 min walk away. Staff are friendly and thoughtful. We had dropped our luggage off before check in and when we came back late at night it was already in our room.

Lots of stains If you miss the cleaning in the morning because you like to sleep in, they will not come back. Everying about this hotel is just ok, not great but not terrible.

The view of the Otaru marina from our room was stunning. The breakfast was delicious and generous. The room was a good size. The staff were very nice and helpful.

It was a little further than we expected from the middle of town...but we negotiated the trains easily. They always run on time in Japan.

一番楽しみにしていた朝食は期待が高すぎたのか、種類は十分だが、質には少し物足りなかった。

It is acshort train ride from the historic centre. Located next to a shopping mall. Very good breakfast.

海に面していてロケーションが良い。 泊まった部屋は山側だったので、海は外に出ないと見られなかったけれど、山側は山側なりのロケーションの良さがあった。 高級感が感じられたのもよかった。 イオンともつながっているので、朝食付きではなかったので、夜に着いたけれどそちらで食事を調達することができた。 映画館もあるので、今回は見ることができなかったが、連泊するならのんびり映画を見るのもいいかなと思った。

部屋の清掃が行き届いていないように感じた。 トイレ浴室に髪の毛が落ちていただけでなく、トイレのふた裏に便が飛び散ったあとがあり不快だった。宿泊客が自分で清掃しなくてはいけない状況はいかがなものかと。 そこが唯一残念なところだった。これは改善の余地があるのでぜひお願いしたい。

This is a very good hotel with all the necessary comforts. If shopping is your game it is connected to a huge shopping complex

Its not very well located for the main attraction of the city, the Otaru Canal. It is necessary to get taxis to get there.

Stayed (or attempted to stay) on 2026-08-10, booked via an OTA inside a map app (not directly with the hotel). On arrival at Grand Park Otaru, front desk said they needed to "verify" and asked me to sit in the lobby. I waited over 20 minutes with no clear answer. Eventually the front desk told me verbally and in a handwritten note (signed/dated 2026-08-11 00:45) that the booking was cancelled and they agreed to refund via the agent. I left and booked elsewhere. Later the hotel denied the agreement and refused to honor the handwritten note; the OTA I booked through told me to deal with the hotel myself. I'm not posting this to argue legal points — just a factual note for future travellers: if you arrive late, be ready for a long wait, and do NOT rely on a handwritten note alone if something goes sideways. Confirm cancellation/refund on the OTA chat in writing before you leave the lobby. Room itself I did not use, so no comment on cleanliness. Service handling of a disputed arrival = worst I've had in Hokkaido.

View was fantastic of the Sea of Japan BUT I had to pay more to move from a rear view of Otaru (which is not that nice) to a Sea view. They could have not charged for this as the place was not full.

- The price was well above a number of other accommodation places which were in better locations i.e easier to get to restaurants etc. - What facilities? for the price you would expect more, such as a fitness centre. - Because the location was not that good and I had to pay more for a ocean view and then pay more for taxi's back and forth it was not good value

The hotel is grand and spacious. The rooms were large and comfortable. The location was good - it is attached to a shopping mall. It is located right on the water and we paid for an upgrade for a water view which was delightful. The staff were lovely.

I understand that it calls itself "eco friendly" which is great that they are thinking about the environment. So they dont change the sheets every day (saves power from not washing) which I understand. They empty the rubbish bins and provide new towels. However, I really don't understand how not cleaning surfaces would be saving the environment - it is really only physical labour involved. I would have liked them to have given the room a bit of a better clean. The hotel would have been lovely in it's day - however it is tired and needing renovation. The furniture is scratched and stained. Our floor lamp was torn and leaning to one side. My mattress was hard - my daughter's was OK - so I guess there is some variation. My most important suggestion would be to put some charger points on either side of the bed.

The hotel room was spacious and our room was facing the port. Amenities were great. They provided Nespresso machine in the room. The mall is connected to the mall next door. Breakfast options were great. A mixed of western and Japanese menu. Quite surprised to see clam chowder served during breakfast. Had a very nice stay in this hotel.

昼にホテルのレストランも覗いたのですが、1,2品は軽めの軽食が有れば良かったかと思います。

急遽利用させてもらう事になったのですが華やかな雰囲気で感動しました。

我预定的是2个双床间，4个成人。根据你们的许可，我只用两位名字预定了两个房间。到了酒店，前台说，因为房间只有一位客人姓名，2个房间只能两位客人入住，即便是双床房也不行。我感觉这个理解非常错误，要求与酒店经理交涉，他们表示没有经理，也无法英语交流，服务态度很不友好。早餐也只能两位客人使用，还要收另外两位客人的费用。多次沟通均无效。感觉极差，这是我在日本多次旅行中遇到服务最差的酒店。

酒店设施比较陈旧，房间地毯污渍明显，卧具僵硬体感沉重，与网上描述有很大差距。 酒店服务水平很差，前台基本都不懂英语，也不懂世界通行的酒店规矩，态度自傲。

Also we were 2 adults 1 kid - towel were not provided in sufficient qties - minor issues but over all a lack of service

Very convinient, next to Aeon Supermarket. Clean and have comfortable beds. Excellent buffet breakfast.

Parking was more expensive than at other hotels I've stayed at in Hokkaido. It would be great if the hotel offered a discount on parking for guests staying multiple nights.

아침식사 맛있었고, 체크인때는 역, 쇼핑몰과 연결되어 좋았는데, 체크아웃 때는 쇼핑몰과 연결된 문이 잠겨있어 도로로 역까지 가여되서 캐리어 끌고가는데 많이 힘들었음

호텔 내 복도와 객실내의 특유의 냄새가 너무 역겨웠어요. 특히 복도 지나다닐 때는 코를 막고 다닐 정도였어요. 이 거 빼고는 다 좋았습니다.

ホテルとしての水準は維持していたと思います。居室、建物としては豪華であったと思います。ロケーションとして近くにショッピングモールがあるのが便利だった。

バスルームのシャワーとカランへの切り替えレバーが、操作している際に、外れて落ちてしまいました。はめ直したら戻りましたのでそのままにしましたが、ルーム清掃などの折に気づき直すようにしてください。他のお客様からはクレームが入ると思います。

築年数の関係だと思いますが、今時USBの充電差し込みが無いのと、ベッド回りにコンセントが無いのは残念でした。フロントに言えばレンタルできるとかってシステムかもしれませんが、だとしても後からは面倒だなと。 レンタルシステムがあるならチェックインの時に必要か聞いてもらうとかならまだ。 それと、冷蔵庫にホテルで食べようと思っていたスイーツを忘れて帰ったんですが、特に連絡もなく。連絡が来たら処分していただくつもりではあったけど、ちょっとモヤモヤしてます。他に何か忘れていても知らん顔なのかな～とか。

スタッフが親切だった事。小樽駅からはタクシーで行ったが、近くに一つ前の駅があり、そこからなら、歩いて7分くらいで便利でした。

食べるところが近くになかった事。連結通路からイオンの中の2階の寿司屋に行ったがネタがあまり良くなかったのと、早く閉まるし、ラストオーダーが7:30で、ゆっくり食べられなかった。

商業施設と直結していて便利です。 部屋も綺麗で広々としていて、高齢の母とゆったり過ごすことができました。

部屋に綿棒がなかったので、必要だと思いました。

朝食が美味しかったところ

今時観光地の宿泊施設なのに大浴場がないのはがっかり。 室内の空調が冷房しか出ず、夜は寒い中寝たおかげで風邪をひいてしまった。 館内着がタンスの中に直で入っており、タンスの木の臭い匂いがついていて不快だった。 景色が山側の方を選んだが、山なんてもんじゃない。きったない工業施設の屋根を見させられて気分が下がった。山側っていうよりも汚い屋根の印象が強くて最悪でした。 これであの値段はちょっと信じられないぼったくり。 もう二度と行きません。

Room was very big and spacious. Bed was comfortable. View of otaru mountains was also nice. Staff were helpful. Location was good and parking available.

Pillows were too soft. Facilities a bit dated but functional nonetheless.

Excellent service from the front desk, helped us organise taxi and massage . It was very clean and the room we had was large , plenty of room and a good size bathroom. The ocean view was lovely. Access straight to a shopping mall was a bonus.

二回目の利用です。朝食は、地元の食材や北海道の食材をしっかり工夫されていて大変美味しくいただきました。 ウィングベイ小樽の中にホテルがあるので 行き来できるのが良いです。 ロケーションも良かったです。 部屋のコーヒーマシンがあるのが良かったです。 スタッフさんの接客も良かったです。

案内された温泉が夜閉まっており、他も時間的に行けなくなった。コンビニもかなり距離あり、不便な立地。設備も古い、アメニティなど最低レベル。山側は景色も貧素で海側は価値があるかも知れない。館内から自由に展望できる場所も無さそうです。

チェックイン時、駐車場の使用の有無は聞かれ他にもかかわらず、駐車券については何も言われず不思議に思ってしましたが出る時に案の定引っかかりました。 「研修中」と書かれていたので、恐くたまたまかなとは思うのですが、気をつけてくださると完璧かなと思います。 又、シャワーがちょっと扱いにくかったです。ミリ単位で温度が大きく変わるので調節が難しかったのと、途中で止めることができなかったのでとても時間がかかってしまいました

海側に宿泊しましたが、朝陽がとても綺麗に見えて🤩気持ちの良い朝を迎える事ができました。

We have used Grand Park Otaru Hotel on 4 or 5 previous occasions so we know it well. The size of the room, the view, the close proximity to shopping and restaurants and the helpfulness of the hotel staff have always been factors that keep us returning to this property. Some of the other hotels we stayed have cut down their services such as daily room cleaning but Grand Park Otaru has tried to maintain their services and its very much appreciated. We always make it a point to end our trip at Otaru as the Rapid Airport train to Chitose Airport starts from Otaru and by boarding our transit train here, the trains are empty and easily accessible from Otaruchikko station.

Perhaps it is due to the economy in Japan, we noticed that a few of the shops are now shuttered and the Aeon Mall is not the same as during the pre covid period. Some of the restaurants that we frequented before are no longer there.

Good view, good location, spacious room

Parking should be free of charge for customers who stay in the hotel or at least have some discount. There is no air conditioning in the room which makes the room not too comfortable and hard to sleep well.

Overall is good experience, good location, convenient to buy stuffs where Aeon is located downstairs with shops like Daiso. 2 points would suggest to improve, parking seems a bit expensive consider I have already beared the room charge, including tax was almost 2000yen per night. There are plenty of space in the car park and the hotel should consider free of charge for the customers who stay in the hotel. The other important point is the room temperature as there is no air conditioning in my room at least during the 3 nights i stayed. There is no heat or cold air conditioning function in the room but only fan. Hard to get a nice sleep with this temperature condition and it is hard to imagine what is like in real summer time.

I thought I will have a blast at this location but its was just a disappointment. Service was nice but they have a limited power to change or to improve the Hotel. Sadly I can’t recommend this hotel, it’s need a complete renovation outside and inside.

飯店印度籍服務員相當奇怪，已入住不能退房，還叫警察，信用卡刷三天入住是假的嗎？

Hiro and his trainees were exceptionally friendly and helpful. As someone with rudimentary Japanese it was relieving to feel I was in careful attentive hands and my few problems were swiftly handled including parking gate issues and adding on a last minute 4th night to my stay! The value of the hotel in the $45-$75 range is stellar and I believe everything possible should be done to maintain this. The amenities available at the mall are a fantastic way to consume and snack your way through a day or two but I cannot recommend more doing a walking tour of true downtown Otaru and the lighthouse area to get a true sense of the town and it's more genuine local food offerings.

The building was beautiful but some parts were beginning to show their age. For the fantastic value this venue provides I'd rather have (and honestly expect) some peeling wallpaper or a stain or two on lampshades as opposed to junk modern quality decor. It's a character forming patina, however we did have some large black mold deposits on the back-underside of the sink and the tub was no longer sealed against the walls which is only going to grow more mold and cause serious damages in the long run. These could become a danger to guests and the building if gone unaddressed so I thought I'd mention this as I'd love for myself and others to enjoy the Grand Park for decades to come!
