Arrivée vers 19 h accueil pas agréable La chambre ne correspondait pas à la réservation Nous avions réservé pour une chambre de 36 m2 avons eu une chambre d’à peine 20 m2 avec équipement très limite au niveau électricité entre autres Restauration fermée à 20 h nous sommes arrivés au restaurant à 20 h02 tout était fermé et aucune solution et explications des personnes de l’accueil La restauration était censé fermer à 22 h Très peu de touristes ce qui explique le peu de services En hors saison ne font aucun effort !!! Je ne recommande pas en tout cas en hors saison

Het huisje waar wij inzaten heeft zeker een opknapbeurt nodig net als de meeste van de logies. Planken zitten los, gaten hier en daar. De pomp in het zwembad ging aan toen wij vroegen of het zwembad wel open was. Dit vonden wij erg raar. Het zwembad zag er erg onhygiënisch uit. De foto's op boeking.com, zijn niet evenredig met de werkelijkheid. Dit resort heeft eerst een opknapbeurt nodig. Wij hebben een ander resort geboekt en waren snel weer weg.

Super freundliches und hilfsbereiten Personal... innerhalb kürzester Zeit wurden uns 2 Motorroller bestellt. Auch das Frühstück war sensationell. 2 tage Buffet und 2 tage Menue Auswahl. Der Pool war aufjedenfall top. Etwas kühl... aber für eine Erfrischung nach einen trip, genau richtig.

Schade, dass das resort so schlecht bewertet wird. Dadurch ist das extrem große ressort auch so gut wie leer. Viele Bungalow wurden schon sehr lange nicht mehr vermietet. Aber unser Bungalow war aufjedenfall tip top.

I had read the previous reviews and worried a bit but found the facilities to be very nice! The room was clean and quiet. The space was big. Bathroom very clean. Awesome bathtub (deep and big enough for 2). The location was 10-15 min from all of the attractions we wanted to see. Overall, a great stay and a nice, older but well maintained resort. Typical older Thai style with lots of wood.

The restaurant breakfast was terrible. Honestly. The hot coffee was the only hot thing in the place, with maybe the rice soup a close second. Everything else had been cooked at least an hour or 2 before - pancakes were cold, eggs cold, veggies cold. Having hot plates means you can keep things warm and hot. So does having staff to cook on order. You fixed all of the other complaints that previous visitors had, time to go fix your breakfast. I would skip adding this to the room and go get food somewhere else (7-11 is just down the street) before paying for that breakfast again.

・テレビのリモコンが二つあり、操作が分からず、その都度担当者が来ないと観れなかったのが残念。地方なので仕方がないかとは思いますが操作手順書をテーブルに置いて、テレビの操作方法を各部屋に設置して、分かりやすくしておくべきだと思います！ ・Booking.com のアメニティ案内では、室内スリッパがあるはずだったのですが、用意されていませんでした。2泊しましたが、宿泊日は12月でことの他寒かったので足が冷え、自分達で室内用スリッパを買い求めて過ごしました。旅の前にスリッパがあるとの案内をしっかり確認していたので、事のほか残念でした。

Das Hotel hat sicherlich einen Flair einer alten englischen Kolonialzeit , Daher kann man manche Dinge hinnehmen . Es hat kaum Gäste und damit auch kein Geld für Investitionen , und dies seit längerem . Ehemalige Fotos sind überholt , wären nicht nutzbar , entsprechen ihrem Zustand . Das wenige Personal hat sich gerne und gut bemüht .

Auch bei wenig Einkünften , gerade bei thailändischem Mindestlohn von 500 Baht / Tag , finde ich , das man die Anlage sauber halten könnte , incl. dem Pool .

L'hôtel est situé dans la forêt, c est un joli complexe. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux, il y a de tout. Le personnel est extrêmement gentil, très avenant. Le restaurant est super bon. La piscine est magnifique. En fait hotel très bon rapport qualité/prix. Hotel que je vous conseille. La région est magnifique : le triangle d or, le temple blanc, le temple bleu et le bouda blanc.

Place is very quiet. My family stay during slow season. If yoh look for a live hotel area its not a place for you. The place is more of a sleep and wake up and go. The hotel is older but if you really want a Thai feel but still in modern than yes. The place do need a work on the garden to make the place look more alive but other than that my family had a great time because we don't really like crowded and noisy place so it fits our family well.

The Pool was to dirty.

Die begrüssung am Abend war sehr kurz und spärlich. Wir haben keine Informationen bezüglich den Angeboten oder Frühstückzeiten erhalten. Der Raum sah ok aus. Im Bad gab es jedoch Schimmel und die duschkabine/badewanne war aus einem Plastikguss. Die stufen in die Dusche waren mega hoch und unangenehme. Das wasser war entweder kochend heiss oder kalt. Das Frühstück war ok . Die Anlage war allgemein eher runter gekommen. Und wir hatten Abends für 20-40 min immer wieder Strommausfall.

I had a very pleasant stay here. Would recommend and stay again in the future. Breakfast had a nice variety and staff were friendly and kind as usual in my Thai experience. I loved the entire experience in Chiang Rai!

Hôtel atypique mais loin du centre de Chiang rai. Location de scooter obligatoire sinon vous être cloîtré à l hôtel et si comme pour notre séjour la piscine est hors service , vous êtes bon pour rester dans votre chambre.. chambre propre mais infrastructures vieillissantes

The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff helpful. The surroundings were beautiful.

We chose the hotel as we wanted a pool. However the water was green and even after it had been 'cleaned' the water was still dirty. The breakfast including coffee was awful and you need to get a taxi to find breakfast!

This resort is extensive. Reading previous reviews we did not have high expectations for our 5 night stay, but our experience was very good. Our upper villa room was nice and clean. The breakfast was very good. The restaurant/var foor was a bit limited. Nice pool.

We had no complaints on this hotel and in general enjoyed our stay, however unfortunately the hotel is not well kept and is becoming a little run down. We believe some renovation was happening, which led to noise at times but compared to other properties we stayed at in Asia there seem to be no efforts to keep the general grounds tidy (in particular dead leaves everywhere and the lakes and gardens looked messy). The shower head in our was broken and we only had a bath tub and no shower. But other than that no issues with the room. The property is outside of town so taxis are required. Great potential with some investment and whilst no major issue, we left a little disappointed.

The place is good, just needs a little bite of repairs to make it look in good condition again.

The resort was quiet and room was nice and big.

I felt things could be maintained better. Shower have very low pressure and I felt the bathroom could have been cleaned better. There was black in some of the grout, and mosquito net on the window was very dusty. Our duvet was too small for the bed, so eventually asked for another so my husband and I weren't pulling at a small duvet. Not the best texture of fabric for the sheets we've had in Thailand. Gardens where pretty but lacked refinement. Leaves should be raked everyday to make things look tidyer even in winter. Some of the walls around the grounds needed a power hose to clean, and some weeding needs to be down to make the garden look better.

Booked this resort for 3 weeks over the holiday season…. Pricing was very much something I was looking for. ฿60,300.00 for 23 nights.. for a deluxe cottage. The place needs to be cleaned up, and rejuvenated…. Staff is eager to please, with the limited resources they have on site. This place caters more to the tour buses that only stay overnight. Breakfast is very basic…. And if you are looking for eggs that are still hot, you better get up at 6am…. They do not keep them on reheat. Room service is adequate, Cottages are Okay, but would require some clean up/paint. Hot water in cottages in the morning can be lacking…. If you are passing thru, 1 or 2 nights…. I can say do it…. But if you are doing an extended stay, here…. Please avoid….

Pool didn’t appear very clean, didn’t want to put head under. Breakfast not good.

Only my comments is should be clean up surrounding areas and water lagoon. More lights outside of bangrow.

The pool and our second room. Staff were very kind and nice. Found a mouldy plate in our room and we told them and they moved us straight away into a new room.

Was a bit unclean and the spa/massage area looked like it hasn’t been in use for ages.

La verdad en las fotos esta muy bonito pero la realidad es otra parece que llego un tornado todo descudado el hotel no le han metido dinero muchas cosas no funcionan la habitación no esta mal pero no se parece en nada a las fotos eses fotos fueron cuando era nuevo

They had had a flood on the property so the room, smells like mold, and we were not informed of this. It was cold in the heat did not work well.

Resort doesn’t look like the pictures at all. Maybe 40 years ago. Very run down. Almost ghost like. No one there pretty much cabins look pretty much abandoned. Ponds are almost completely dried up or are swamps pretty much. Breakfast was so bad we decided to order grab instead. This place needs serious remodeling before I’d recommend to anyone.

Bed was hard our back hurts. The room was dusty and misty. The curtains were torn. Two pillows were thin. Not enough lights in the room or outside area.

The staff was nice. The breakfast was amazing. The room was nice, only the bathroom was a bit dated and the bed was really hard. We liked the location, it was quite and not to busy.

The swimming pool was dirty. There was an outside pump but it was way to small for the big pool. The whole area was just not taken care of. It has a lot of potential, it just needs some guests and attention.

Very quiet and staff very helpful

It’s nice but it’s a bit run down. I’d say it’s more a 3 star with nice service. Breakfast could be better but we didn’t prepay so only did it once. It is secluded but close enough to easily get a ride. Staff are great which we find to be true all over Thailand

Resort surrounded by nature. The restaurant-buffet is affordable.

The resort is called "resort and spa" and as soon as we arrived we were informed the spa had been closed for several months. The resort has so much potential but it´s completely abandoned. The pool area looks awful with a noisy motor in it. Pictures displayed in Booking were taken in the good "era" of the hotel. Breakfast could be improved

Hard bead

Do not pick this hotel based on the photos. As others have mentioned. The property today does not match those images. It is very run down. Our room had a broken shower head that leaked water everywhere. Plus you could not change the temperature on either the shower or hand basin. It came out boiling hot. Its a shame as the property has so much potential if it was maintained and upgraded. Having said that if you are aware of what you are getting, then its not the worst place to stay. Staff are lovely and super helpful.

Everything was in order and clean, sometimes the employees seemed bored but overall they were friendly .

The air conditioner was so old that it made a quite noticeable noise at night, even the neighbor's air conditioner. Definitely if you want to come to this place for the pool you should know that the pool is very bad, the water did not have chlorine, the pool is cleaned and at night it is not well lit.

A shame as this resort could be so much better and had the potential. To summarise: -the resort is tired and in need of some investment and a change of ways. No great welcome on arrival. We booked a room and paid double the room price on Agoda for an extra bed, which wasn't in our room when we arrived and checked in. To be fair, this got sorted quickly by an extra bed in our room. We had no breakfast included which we weren't expecting but the restaurant looked dead both in the mornings and evenings. No atmosphere onsite. We didn't feel like eating at the hotel. So many great options in central Chiang Rai. We used the pool a few times during our stay. Self service for towels. Even a fridge with drinks - not sure how that worked but no one was around to ask. No spa available. This is definitely not a spa hotel! Our shower was broken but we didn't bother complaining. Just used it as it was. Rooms were basic but comfortable. Location was OK. Outside of Chiang Rai but not a problem with grab / bolt taxis. Easy to get hold of. I would not recommend this hotel. I'm sure you'll be able to find better value hotels around.

We lived on the second floor in two floor bungalow. Bed was super comfy, linen and pillows as well, but that is actually it. Staff was welcoming as well.

This place, overall really needs renovation. Our room smelled like mold. It was probably very nice place when they built it on 2014. When we booked this property, there were said - Superior Cottage, and booking mentions "entire place", and with entire place photo was added little, pretty tiny house. We lived in two floor cottage, and in the first floor lived other people. No common facilities of course, but it was not entire place what we wanted. We asked staff why so, they said that place they gave us is totally the same as this Superior Cottage, in reality it is the same. They showed us, and yes it looked identical, but the smell was also there. We stayed in room they gave as at the beginning. In the morning we took small walk around territory and understood that here is no other tourists in these Deluxe Cottage and Cottage Suite. Territory was full of dried leaves, pond was overgrown and many broken stuff around. It looked sad and abandoned. Probably because of off season. The scariest thing in our room was electricity lightning. There was 2-3 time at night when due to functioning conditioner and rain, we saw electric lightning splash in our room. We thought that it was because of rain. There were also many ants in toilet. What was funny, there were no clothing hangers in wardrobe. If You would like to use them, you need to rent them. Breakfast was very bad. Tried one morning, and next did not go there. Photos are really nice, full of light, but it was not so overwhelming there.

The windows weren’t very sealed They forgot to put water in our rooms when they made the rooms, but they brought them when asked The place was not well kept overall, might need some restoring done because the spaces and the location overall has so much potential

I always stay this hotel when I visited Chiang Rai. The atmoshpere is good and price is reasonable for its facilities.

The quality of the limited buffet spread was very poor. It obviously caters for Chinese tourists who were there in their rowdy numbers. A few years ago it was a special place to go with family.or friends, not now! I don't recommend it, there are better buffets in Chiang Rai.

El cuarto pequeño, pero bonito. El servicio del lobby bueno. El restaurante bastante malo, tanto la comida y peor el serivicio, es sumamente incómodo que en un hotel no hablen inglés y en el restautante cero inglés, no pudimos comunicarnos. El lugar literal sirve únicamente para dormir.

El alojamiento fue estupendo, nos gusto mucho el ambiente del hotel muy tranquilo y natural. Ideal para pasar un día relajado. La piscina es increíble, el agua estaba un poco fría.

This place could be so beautiful. It appeared rundown & nothing like the pictures. The bed in from 506 was so hard we woke up with back aches. The property was unkept & overgrown. The water around the villas was murky. No bar service at the pool. Would some effort from the owners this place would be Magical. The staff was professionally & friendly & extremely accommodating. The food was good.

Phowadol resort is a nice place, just outside Chiang Rai, convenient for getting to main sites if you have your own car. If you do not have your own transport I would not recommend this place. Maybe because it is off season it felt a bit run down. The ponds which the villas surround were murky and green which spoils a beautiful layout design. Our villa was spacious and comfortable with a nice seating area as well as the bed area. However, the phone did not work which meant no room service ordering nor arranging the ground transport for luggage collection etc and this was not fixed despite reporting it. Also the wi-fi was poor and despite two staff members trying to fix it I was unable to get wi-fi on my iPad throughout the stay, it only worked in the restaurant. Very disappointing and inconvenient. However, given the special price option it was worth the money paid. However, I would probably look at other alternatives in Chiang Rai next time.

A nice hotel in a quiet rural area. The rooms were clean and we were a large group of friends with several rooms. Some were older than others and other reviews said that the lodges were a lot nicer but our rooms were good value. The hotel is quite far out of town and the pool was closed for maintenance. Clearly the pandemic has meant that certain things can’t be updated as the gym was very old and musty and the breakfast and breakfast room need updating. I would stay here again but it would be nice if the site was better maintained although I understand in the present circumstances this is difficult. We paid to go to a big hotel on the last day so we could use a pool so it might have been nice if the staff had offered something complimentary to compensate for the fact the facilities couldn’t be used- when guests are scarce it pays to look after them.

Nice spacious cottage, easy to find, big grounds. Helpful staff, decent breakfast. Restaurants nearby and easy drive to town.

A quiet and out of the way location, popular with bus tours. Breakfast is a fresh and mixed style buffet. Evening meals can vary but good quality. Staff are friendly and happy to help. Rooms are a more traditional feel, with a sliding wood partition as a window between bedroom and bathroom. The pool is open air and plenty of room to relax, gym facilities are a little more basic, a collection of cardio machines but enough to keep fit.

A bit far from the city centre, but we had a pleasant stay. Nice spacious bungalows. Pool was nice too. Maybe a bit noisy because a big wedding party, but that did not anoy us. Very friendly helpfull staff.

This is one of many hotels we are staying at over a 5 week tour. We were only in Chiang Rai for two nights and found this hotel wanting. There are a few reviews on here which mention the slightly dilapidated state. I concur. It is a very big resort with one big bedroom block and large and extensive grounds with lots of villas in. I saw a sign dated 2008 about being top resort in the world or something similar. Walking around and looking, first impressions of an impressive big estate turn to why have you let the maintenance and caretaking drop to such a level? We arrived on a Friday afternoon and it felt like a ghost town. Later some guests did arrive but it looks like people are giving this a wide berth. Sorry to say it’s looking unkempt and uncared for. It could be great again but someone needs to start looking at detail and maintenance and upkeep. The restaurant menu is far too extensive for the small number of guests. Better to reduce to quantity of choice and focus on quality. We ordered soup starters and grilled whole fish for the main. Instead of getting soup first everything turned up together at once. It was hot which was good. We were told there would be a 30 minutes wait for the fish which we accepted. The fish was quite nice but really over cooked. Being ex catering, and noting small customer numbers and such a big menu we suspected the reason for a long wait is the fish had to be defrosted? That’s an assumption not a statement. But the fish was deep fried resulting in a very crusty finish, not just grilled or pan fried for sure. Instead of greeting us with a hello, hi, or anything like that, the first words uttered on entering the restaurant (all 3 times) is “what’s your room number?” Sorry this review isn’t positive and it’s just our personal experience. Dangerous area. Very far away. Not comfortable bed.

It is an older resort property, but kept up nicely and the staff are so friendly and eager to help with anything that you need. I stayed in the basic level room which was very nice, but they also have cute little bungalows that have bath tubs that I would book if I were to stay there again. Restaurant on site with delicious food. Very happy with this property.

The check in was fast but as soon as we started to walk to our room, the hotel seemed messy and not well manteined. The room was OK, hard mattress, telephone not working, only one towel and the internet wasn't working. Breakfast was OK. But definitely we'll not stay there again.
