Fantastic location. Beautiful property. Peaceful. Staff was exceptional with customer service. First time in Kanazawa but will come back and stay longer in the future.

Free transfers to Karuizawa Station

We loved this hotel within walking distance from the lovely central shopping street. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was excellent.

Nothing we didn't like.

Attentiveness of the staff. There was this gentlemen who fetch us to the ski station, waited for us for a while and later return to brought us back to the hotel. The complimentary snacks and drinks were also well appreciated.

Quality of the coffee during breakfast could have been better for me personally and the value of the breakfast could have been better.

We stayed one night at the Curio Collection by Hilton in Karuizawa and were very impressed. The building looks simple from the outside, but inside it is modern, elegant, and very comfortable. Service was excellent from the moment we arrived. At check-in we asked where we might buy a reading glasses replacement, and the staff immediately offered us one from their own supply as a loan, which was extremely helpful. Our luggage was brought directly to the room, and the entire check-in was smooth and friendly. The room was spacious and well designed, with a comfortable seating area, a large bathroom, and an espresso machine. The minibar was stocked with drinks, including beer, free of charge, and the fridge contained a few small, thoughtfully prepared snacks. The hotel offers breakfast, dinner, a gym, and a private bath area, though we did not use any of these facilities. The location is very convenient. The hotel provides a shuttle to Karuizawa Station, which is about a 15 minute walk away. A large shopping mall is located near the station, and the older shopping street with cafés and small stores is just around the corner from the hotel. Overall, the hotel offers high comfort, excellent service, and a very pleasant atmosphere.

両親との家族旅行で利用しました。高齢の両親には客室も1階、食事で利用するレストランも1階と移動がとても楽と言ってました。食事が思っていた以上にどれも美味しく、また盛り付け方も素敵で、大満足でした。ベッドも清潔で肌ざわりよく、ぐっすり眠る事ができました。好評の口コミ通りでまた利用したいとみんなで話をしてます。

I really enjoyed the stay. All staff were very nice. The free shuttle service between hotel and train station/ski center was extremely helpful and convenient. Location is good - I quite enjoyed the walk to train station and old town, ~15 mins. Room was nice and spacious. Dinner at Sonorite/A Table was very nice too. The only comment is the elevator which has a kind of shabby smell.

A deluxe and elegant hotel, with free shuttle between hotel and station. All staff are friendly and helpful, esp. those drivers. The restaurant is excellent.

とても清潔感があるホテルでした。 スタッフの対応も素晴らしく、また利用したいと思えるホテルです。 冷蔵庫に冷凍庫が無く周辺にコンビニもありませんので、夜中に氷が調達出来ない点はハイボール好きにとって注意が必要です。

フロントの対応、非常に良かった。また、中庭に出れる部屋で最高に良かったです。大浴場は整備はされてましたが、使用した後の掃除が行き届いてなかった気がします。そして、サウナは設備的にきれいでしたが、サウナ好きとしては水風呂がないのが非常に残念。1番の問題点はレストランラウンジでの食事、美味しくはなかったかな、理由として、フライドポテトは非常に油濃かったし、食事全体的に油っこかった。味付けも少し雑な感じがした。朝食もオムレツが塩がきつく口には合わなかった。清掃員の挨拶はあったが、ブライダルのスタッフとかフロアサービスの従業員の挨拶がないことが残念でした。それ以外は非常に良かったと思います。

Wonderful stay, a cozy hotel and friendly staff

I booked a superior room as a Hilton diamond member. I was upgraded to a premium room the day before check in. Usually this doesn’t sound like much however the premium room is quite spacious! The room essentially has a living room and bedroom. What’s really surprising is that the entire minibar is complimentary and could be replenished, something I’ve only encountered at a couple of 5 star hotels elsewhere. This included some hard drinks as well as some delicious prepared snacks. In a way, this is necessary as there are no convenience stores in the neighborhood and you’ll have to go to Karuizawa station past a certain hour in the evening. The hotel itself is only 3 floors high and has a very boutique feel. The service level was great and all the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Diamond members are entitled to a cocktail hour at the hotel restaurant that includes some snacks and drinks. This is nothing more than a snack so if you’re hungry for a meal I’d suggest the actual restaurant or going outside the hotel. I really enjoyed breakfast service at the hotel restaurant. The public bath is one of the best I’ve experienced thus far in Japan! Hot bath, cold bath, scented sauna, never crowded, and more amenities than any other public bath I’ve been to! The hotel is located in Old Karuizawa which features some shops around the main street as well as a “Ginza” area however once beyond the main road it’s a very quiet area. As I mentioned previously, there are no convenience stores or any other stores that would be open late in the evening in the area. If you need such you’ll have to go to the station. There’s also a mall and resort south of the station. The hotel features a “shuttle” service to Karuizawa Station however it’s really more of a private car they keep in the parking lot. It runs on demand meaning that you’ll need to let the staff know when you need to use it. Some nights can get a bit expensive however if you’re planning on staying in Karuizawa I’d recommend this hotel!

Celebrating our 28th Wedding Anniversary and Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, the Curio Collection by Hilton made it a memorable occasion. From the special gift and room upgrade as a Diamond member, the cleanliness of the room and the facilities, amazing food, and to top all, the attentiveness of ALL employees to all customers. The moment, we drove up to the entrance, we were assisted in every way to make our check-in easy. We arrived late but we were able to go to the executive lounge at the last minute. Although not properly dressed, as we came from hiking, we still got the same exceptional service from the servers. There was a time when we had to leave early for a hiking trip and could not make it for breakfast, they were able to provide us with fruits and nuts for our trip. I was also having a hard time looking for a place to have my hair done since I could not speak Japanese to make the reservation. Hiromi, one of the employees, helped me look for a place to accommodate me and she helped me with the reservations. The servers in the dining area are all very attentive and are always happy to serve. The strength of the hotel is not only its facilities and location but also its people. We have never felt so much at home. Having traveled all over the world, this hotel made a huge difference in showing its customers what quality is all about. We look forward to going back again. We had a very pleasant stay, everyone from the door man to front desk to housekeeping to à table restaurant staff were quite attentive and courteous. Room facilities were up to date and comfy. The hotel location is convenient and close to most of the attractions. The food in the hotel was so tasty and delicious. Many thanks to Ms. Koizumi from à table restaurant for her genuine care and sincere attention.

Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Temperature control is excellent and food and service of the highest order. There is shuttle service to ski center and railway station which is very efficient as well.

It’s not as convenient as the Prince hotels which are just next to the ski areas. But it’s near enough (about 5-10 minutes drive away). Sometimes when it gets busy we have to wait for the shuttle, but hotel staff do try their best to make it efficient. Not many taxis around so unfortunately couldn’t go too far off from the rail station and Prince hotel areas.

The service was excellent and the staff went out of their way to assist us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Despite being an upmarket hotel, they were still very accommodating and welcoming of our toddler and there were extra amenities for her which were appreciated. The hotel is situated in the older part of Karuizawa and is within walking distance of many beautiful attractions and restaurants/cafes. The breakfast is also excellent.

We stayed at this hotel recently and really appreciated the stay. The stay actually started off bumpy with some misunderstanding of our reservation that had us cramped into a small room with no possibility of adding a roll-away. The young woman who checked us in said there was nothing she could do, so we took her for her word and proceeded to our room. When we got to our room, we realized that we would end up with a disastrous stay contrary to what we were expecting--a wonderful and serene one--as the room was way too small. When the bell person (Rajesh) brought our luggage, we informed him, that the room would not work for our family of four. Though it was not his responsibility per se, Rajesh immediately went to work to seek out any other options we could have to accompany us and, long story short, he helped us stay in a bigger room that was more appropriate--though considered a downgrade. The fact that a bell person would go out of his realm of responsibility to meet our needs was truly appreciated allowing us all to fully enjoy our stay. We ended up having dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant and fully appreciated the friendliness and service of the restaurant staff as well as the healthy, delicious, and local foods that were served. There is no doubt we would return to stay there again thanks to Rajesh and his excellent customer service!

It is a very lovely, quiet deluxe hotel set back from the street. The service was impeccable, with free shuttles at call to and from the hotel. Remember to book in advance if you are arriving from the train station as this will save you the taxi fare! The rooms are large and the public bath is a treat. Breakfast is lovely - the restaurant faces the gorgeous court yard.

What a charming little hotel along the old Karuizawa road! The location of the hotel is good as it’s about 10-15 mins walk from the main station. The shuttle service, guest service and attention to detail was amazing, loved the breakfast and how homey and elegant everything was!

朝食の際、人数分のカトラリーが足りなかったので、近くにいた女性スタッフ（Aさん）に申し入れたら、反応が悪く、『あれ？』という感じがしました。 普通、人数分のカトラリーが無ければ『失礼しまました、お待ちしますね』とか『フォークだけで宜しいですか？』といった返答があるものと思うのですが、Aさんは無表情のまま『何本ですか？』とだけ答え、不足分を取りに行ってしまいました。 その後も、最初にオーダーを聞かれた飲み物が、いつまで経っても（食事が終わりそうなくらいまで）来ないので（私達よりも後に頼んだ方には飲み物が既に提供されていました）、忘れてしまっているのかな？と思い、飲み物がまだ来ない旨をAさんに伝えると、また無表情のまま『はぁ、確認します』どだけ言い、バックヤードへ行ってしまいました。悪い人では無いのでしょうか、接客に向かない人っていますよね？そんな感じの方です。 隣のテーブルの方にもそんな感じの対応だったので、その方達も『あれ？』っといった表情でした。 2泊3日の滞在でしたので、翌日もAさんだったら嫌だなと家族で話しながら翌日も朝食へ向かうとAさんはいませんした。他のお客さんからクレームが入ったからなのか、ホテルの方が気がついて対処したのかわかりませんが、翌日は心地よく朝食を取ることができました。 別にお客様は神様扱いして欲しいなどとは思いませんが、最低限の接客対応はして頂きたいですね。ヒルトンクラスのホテルでこのような対応があったことに残念でした。 今後の改善に期待しています。

나리타에서부터 직행한 것이라 매우 피곤했으나 호텔직원들이 너무 친절하게 해주셔서 감사했음. 방크기는 도쿄라면 콘라드 세미스위트 정도는 돼지 않을까 싶은 크기(가격도 그정도)넓어서 편했음. 대욕탕은 아담한 크기라 6명이면 만석일 정도. 소명서비스가 있어서 돌아갈 때 역까지 태워 주어서 편했음

Off the main street, many good restaurants like Suju and the ramen shop next door, comfortable quiet rooms. Staff very friendly and having the shuttle to station was useful. Managed to sort out my taxi plans in the town and good suggestions.

book a twin room with tatami for 4pax. second night have to make our own tatami. small onsen and a Japanese family of 3 occupy the makeup place for ages. notices should be put to highlight consideration for other hotel users. this is not a place for coffee conversation. breakfast also very rigid only one main which perfectly fine but if your main is French toast you can’t order more eggs like sunny side up or poached. it’s extra cost. not worth paying the price of stayi

1. Great location! Bus stop is literally right outside the hotel. Bus around Karuizawa tourist spots are outside. It is also literally at the entrance of the old Ginza street which has great snacks. If needed, the hotel can also drive 5 mins to the Karuizawa station where you can do all the shopping at the outlet. 2. Great staff. Very polite and very helpful 3. Good breakfast. 4. Comfortable bath area at basement.
