Hampton Inn & Suites Los Angeles Burbank Airport

Terrible experience! First, I lost the payment for my original reservation because it could not be canceled. I then paid again for the following night. When I arrived at the hotel late in the evening, I was told that no room was available, even though Booking.com confirmed my reservation on speakerphone. I do not speak English well and asked the staff to contact Booking.com, but they refused to help. It seemed that because I arrived late, my room had been given to another guest. Because of their mistake, I suffered both financially and emotionally. I was left without a room at night and had to urgently book another, more expensive hotel. Very unprofessional and irresponsible treatment. I do not recommend this hotel!

Das Zimmer war sauber und geräumig. Es gab eine gute Auswahl zum Frühstück. Der Pool hatte bis um 10 Uhr abends auf, das war super toll. Auch die Lage war sehr gut. Nahe an Universalstudios, Hollywood Sign und Walk of fame.

The pool area was a bit dirty (hair, dirt, bugs floating in the pool and the trash can was overflowing all weekend). The outlets in the room weren’t the best . The outlets in the wall worked better than those in the desk and side table.

The bed was really comfortable.

Beautiful scenery around. Easy to get to. Felt like a safe area. Valet parking price felt a little high but I normally stay places with self-parking. The ability to text and request your car was nice so you’re not waiting outside for it. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast, but they did have flavored waffle batter so that was fun if you’re into waffles. We didn’t get the chance to use any amenities like pool or gym. To me the interior decorating felt very dark and closed it, but that’s totally a personal preference and didn’t impact the quality of the stay. (I would post a picture but the Trip Advisor app doesn’t allow you to select videos or screen shots as a media type) The rooms felt nice and clean and no issues with the TV, outlets, or AC.

The staff made you feel welcome, shout out to Gisela, Mario, and Ana. They made us feel at home and helped us with questions we had.

Overall my experience was the best.

The rooms were a good size for the price and the breakfast room was comfortable also. Good beds, plenty of water pressure for showers. Great TVs The breakfast meals were very tasty and there was a good variety of. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Any issues were resolved pronto.

The dog area outside was planted with some type of ground cover and no dogs were using it. We also didn’t like the freeway noise in rooms on the freeway side. The freeway is very close and runs 24/7. The opposite side rooms facing the mountains are very quiet and scenic. They should mention the freeway noise or replace the windows. I also felt there should be parking choices as opposed to the 31 dollar per night mandatory valet parking. I suppose you could park somewhere on the street and walk after unloading the baggage??

Staff were very nice, kind and professional. Hotel room was spacious and housekeeping was outstanding. Complimentary breakfast was wonderful and coffee and tea available 24/7. They offer a wonderful shuttle service with very friendly drivers. Overall extremely pleased with my choice of hotels and my stay!

For a hotel, the heavy door slams were pretty good. The mechanism slowing the door and associated noise was much better than most. These things normally keep me awake. I enjoyed breakfast. The assortment of food choices was about right: meat, eggs, breads, muffins, juices, etc. I loved being close to the airport given I did not know the area and had a very early flight out.

I'm not a fan of valet parking, but sometimes there's no alternative for the hotel. It was handled well though.

The room was situated next to HWY and you could hear the traffic all night long. Other dislike the Hotel doesn’t have on site parking for guest, they use a valet service, which when told I thought ok tip no biggie- then received a bill for $35 parking fee. One I was not told this at the time, and to receive a bill after the fact was not ok! I would have parked elsewhere, which would have been a walk!

As a Hilton Honors Gold member, I can say with confidence that I will never stay at this property again. In fact, this experience has caused me to reconsider staying at any Hilton-branded hotel in the future. My biggest issue is transparency. When I booked my stay, nowhere in the Hilton app was it disclosed that this hotel charges $31 per day for parking. There is no self-parking option available, so this fee is mandatory. Had this information been clearly disclosed at the time of booking, I would have chosen another hotel—specifically the Best Western nearby, which offers free self-parking. When I raised this concern at check-in, I was simply told, "It's on the website." That response is unacceptable. Many Hilton guests book directly through the Hilton app, not the website. If a mandatory fee exists, it should be clearly disclosed on every booking platform Hilton provides. I then contacted Hilton Customer Care hoping for a reasonable resolution. Unfortunately, I was met with complete indifference. My concern was dismissed, my request for reimbursement of the undisclosed parking charges was denied, and when I asked to escalate the issue, I was told there was no one higher to speak with because the representative was allegedly already a supervisor. What disappointed me most was not the $31 parking fee—it was Hilton's complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction and loyalty. As a frequent traveler and Honors member, I expected much better. Instead, I was left with the impression that Hilton simply does not care. Because Hilton chose not to address this issue or offer any meaningful resolution, they have lost my future business. I will be taking my travel dollars elsewhere and will be sharing this experience with friends, family, followers, and fellow travelers so they can make informed decisions before booking. For anyone considering this location, be aware of the mandatory parking charges. If free parking is important to you, there are nearby alternatives, including the Best Western on Lankershim Boulevard, which offers complimentary self-parking. Transparency matters. Customer service matters. Unfortunately, neither was demonstrated here.

Terrible overall. Would not stay there again. Small, representative Examples: 1) toilet paper holder in handicapped restroom WELL out of reach unless you have6 foot long arms, 2) mandatory valet parking for $31 in an already overpriced property. 3) Marginal maintenance - emergency operation signage in elevator with significant damage, etc,etc. Really a bad choice. Stay elsewhere.

I loved the location of the hotel and how clean it was. How easy it was to get on the freeway. I felt safe if I did want to walk down the street. The staff was really nice and was really helpful. There was an issue with our fridge when we just checked into the room, and they were able to fix it right away by moving us to another room. I like that they served breakfast in the morning, but maybe we will try it next time since we didn’t wake up lol

I’m not sure if this could be worked on, but our room faced the freeway and you could hear how fast the cars and trailers drive. We could hear the noise from our window it was hard to fall asleep. The Valet staff was really nice and super helpful. Ernie the night valet employee was so helpful. It’s not that I didn’t like the valet service its great but more of a safety concern. There’s too many cars on the driveway and if there was an emergency, it would be hard to get out of the driveway. When I pulled in there was not enough space. I would rather park my car myself so I’m not in the way.

They don't have parking they have a parking lot and it's in the property but it's ran by a separate company in the hotel. So you need to pay a second time and they only offer street parking across the street that is also busy and on a curve. The breakfast is no different than any other hotel and is mainly cafateria food. The eggs are lost likely powder eggs since they had a lot of water in them. It was like a scramble soup. The pastries taste like they are put out every day and they only replace the ones that have been eaten. The bread was stale and not even the toaster could save it. The walls have stains and the paint is chipping all over the furniture. The mattresses feel old and are so soft the almost wrap you up better than the blankets. The tub makes a god awful sound when it drains. There was a board holding up the ac that they somewhat covered with carpet and has the tack nails sticking out. It's like a small bed of nails. You would do better staying in a motel. Avoid this place.

The room was comfortable

The cleanliness was exceptional and the staff were all polite and attentive. The coffee/hot cocoa available in the lobby all day was great, the kids loved the milk and cookies.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable and there was basically no parking and the only option is paying for parking or trying to find parking in the neighborhood which was hard to do because the extremely busy church and college across the street. However this is not a deal breaker and we will definitely stay here again.

I arrived late and Ahmed checked me in efficiently which included a warm welcome and appreciation for my loyalty. I was in my top/fourth floor room in under five minutes. The room was impressively quiet since the window overlooked I-5 and had one of those low through-wall A/C units. Temperature was well regulated. The bathroom and closet doors aren't well planned - they open outward which fully block the hallway between the room entrance and bed area. Although clean, the comforter had loose threads and was fraying. I usually choose Hampton Inn's when looking for hotels and this Hampton Inn had more breakfast items than others. Like honey almonds as a topping choice. The lady working it was friendly - greeting me with a good morning - and stayed on top of replenishing items and cleaning. The free breakfast area was spacious with high ceilings. I didn't use the complimentary airport shuttle which also takes you to Downtown Burbank and a shopping mall. But unless you have an early/late flight, you'll need to utilize transport because there isn't anything to do around the hotel - it is basically along the highway. Check out was efficient, with German thanking me for my stay/business. Overall this hotel has great hospitality.

The building itself was beautiful & classy. With a yummy breakfast & coffee & Christmas Day when I was supposed to see my brother, I got a horrible cold & stayed in bed all day. I was on the 3rd or 4th floor facing the Verdugo mountains & it was a great restful day & I flew home the next day. It was actually a beautiful relaxing day thanks to your facilities & services. Thanks for that

The housekeeper cleaned very well. The room was clean.The staff was polite. Provided complimentary Lyft as shuttle did not seem to be running.

Not at the airport, 10 min. away. Mattress was uncomfortable, furniture old, room small. Noisy location (underpass), and some kind of sctratching noise all night. Not restful. Not typical of a Hampton Inn stay.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. The wonderful guys doing the valet were amazing. Prompt, friendly and so nice. They really stood out. Also, our room was just what we needed. I also liked that breakfast was offered for a large window of time each morning (6-10 am) as well as milk and cookies each evening. They were also kind enough to let us check in pretty early. We were thankful for that because it was pouring down rain outside and we didn't have anything else to do.

Just thought the beds could have been a bit better. They were really springy. The pillows weren't that great either.

The $34 per night mandatory valet fee seemed excessive and was not mentioned in any hotel information prior to booking. The breakfast was okay, but limited and we had a hard time finding a clean table.

Parking I disliked we had to pay parking

This was a very disappointing stay. We were woken up around 4:00 AM by extremely loud and continuous stomping from the room above us (we were on the 3rd floor). It sounded like someone doing jumping jacks and made it impossible to sleep. We contacted the front desk twice. The first time, we were told the room above us would be contacted, but the noise continued. When we called again about two hours later, the front desk agent repeatedly interrupted us and told us we would need to wait until the 9 AM shift to speak with someone. No resolution was offered. Because of the lack of action and the dismissive handling of the situation, we lost sleep and did not feel comfortable staying another night. This was not the level of service we expect from a Hilton property. I hope management addresses both noise enforcement and how guest concerns are handled during overnight hours.

All of the staff were friendly and super helpful. The breakfast was tasty and the was a wide variety of options. The valet service was a treat and reasonably priced.

The receptionist attempted to charge us a second time for our stay at checkout, despite the fact that we had already paid at check-in. When we questioned this, she was rude and unhelpful. We also discovered an unexplained $50 charge taken from our account that same morning without our authorisation. The manager eventually came to assist and resolved the billing confusion, explaining that a random card had somehow been added to our account. He assured us that the parking charges would be refunded as a gesture of goodwill and that they would investigate the $50 charge. However, after we returned to the UK, the hotel automatically charged us for parking again, although the $50 was refunded. I have emailed the hotel twice since and have received no response. Overall, very disappointing service. I would not recommend this hotel and would not return.

Hampton Inn at Burbank was great. Was in a good location. Right across from a college. Nice little restaurants in walking distance. The room was comfortable, staff friendly and breakfast was good.

The windows could be more sound proof to keep all highway noise out. Most of the time traffic was not noticeable. Also, make sure you don't get charged parking fees when you never had a car. Other than that it was a great stay.
