Cambria Hotel Burbank Airport

Comfortable and great location

2 staff knock my door and interrupt me and my partner while we were getting ready to leave. They said that in their paper shows that no one was in the room anymore? and that we even left the key at the front desk, but even after I explained them we haven’t check out yet, they knock my door one more time. It was very unpleasant. I talked with front desk lady and she said that it did not show that I checked out yet. But why they insisted knocking my door and interrupt my comfort? I even had the don’t disturb sign hanging on my door. Very bad experience!!! I like to travel to LA and I wanted to try a new hotel close to Hollywood, but because this experience I will not comeback to your hotel. Everything else was fine, but that experience was really unpleasant!!

Good value, basic hotel with everything you need in the room, plus a decent gym, nice food and excellent staff.

Location is a bit isolated

I’ve called and tried to talk to someone. I arrived to check in after midnight there were 3 cop cars and a fire truck at the entrance I was alone with my son 10years old. Lobby employee said everyone was okay. He asked me for my id and stated they should called me cause the room I booked was not available. I said I’m alone with my wine what is available. He said only a kk g suite which was a lot more. He said he couldn’t give a discount or honor the price booking has for the single bed and wanted me to pay over $100 more. I told him I couldn’t. He said he would cancel the reservation and make sure I got a refund. I asked for a receipt or something saying he would honor the refund since it was not my fault. He said he couldn’t do that to reach out to booking .com. I tried but I had to drive around with my son to 4 different hotels and finally at 2am found a room. This was a really scary experience and I expect my full refund.

The customer service and how the loony employee was not empathetic to me and my son walking in with all our stuff in the middle of the night. I believe they should have honored d my reservation o told them o could share a bed with my son

Sort of awkward location to anything else but the airport, and I would have loved an airport shuttle.

It was clean & updated.

The walls are paper thin. The room above us & next door, had young kids. That’s fine, I have no issue with children, but you could hear the crying & running around as if it was happening in our room. It was very difficult to go back to sleep until things settled down. This aspect was a disappointment.

It was good

Clean new and close to the airport. It was not noisy at all and the area was less industrial than usual for airport, but probably not great for window shopping or restaurants. The food at the restaurant was good and they had a nice outdoor area to hangout.

It was a little sterile but clean and new.

We got an upgraded room. The hotel was clean and spacious.

Didn’t like that we had to pay for parking. Paid for breakfast but only got tickets for one person No one came to clean the room.

Staff was exceptional on our arrival and we were tired from a 13 hour flight with 2 pups. They have 2 attached dog parks and the beds and rooms are super comfortable. Great value and they have coffee in the rooms. We really liked staying here and when we end up in Burbank again we'll have a redo! Even without the pups!

Staff were kind and helpful. Clean, modern, spacious for the hotel category, in terms of every area (rooms, common areas, gum, etc). The bathroom was delightful, and quality of the ‘Cambria’ towels as well as the Bluetooth mirror were nice touches.

In terms of property features, the only thing missing was a pool. The in-room lighting controls were a bit testy and the closet/drawers could have been larger. The ‘pay to park’ was pretty ridiculous as the property shared a wide open lot with a business park and restaurants. Felt like a cash grab, as did the self-service store in the lobby as it was via a 3rd party vendor app.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was very clean, modern, and well maintained. The room was comfortable and quiet, which made it easy to relax. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The location was also very convenient for getting around. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations.

The guy at front desk was professional and did his best to handle the situation. He was polite and tried to resolve the overlooking issue, even though it was beyond his control.

Unfortunately, the hotel canceled my reservation due to overbooking in Los Angeles. The good thing is that they did not charge me anything. However, it was upsetting to see some guests, including families with children, unable to find accommodation, especially since most hotels in Los Angeles were fully booked that day.

When checking in the front desk guy gave me a room to where the key didn’t work, after telling him he gave me another room after opening the room there was someone in there, he then gives me another room (same one he gave me at first and it still wasn’t opening) went to tell him again it doesn’t open he didn’t believe me he walked me to the room. I was given someone else room and told I would need to change rooms the following day given the fact that it was someone else room. The receptionist guy then told me there was no need to speak to a manager because he would take care of me. Also while my who inconvenience was happening ANOTHER lady who had booked on line prior to getting there was left without a room because they had overbooked, but this lady had already paid before her arrival. Felt so bad for her as well because she was out of state and was only here for work from what she told me.(btw my check in process took almost 1 hour and a half). I had to speak to the hotel manager Kathy the following day and was told parking would be refunded and a night stay would be compensated. (Only because my stay was on valentine’s day and everything else was booked out or else i would’ve stayed elsewhere), but ever since it’s been almost two months and I have yet to receive the refund promised by the hotel manager . I was told I would also get a full refund for my parking because of this inconvenience and again I have yet to receive it. This has been the worst experience I have had with a hotel, management told me they couldn’t do the refund because I booked through booking so I would have to contact Booking.com, after doing that booking.com submitted a claim and because there was no response from the property they were not able to compensate the one night stay that Kathy said she would, instead booking.com compensated me a small amount which is not comparable to the big inconvenience I had when checking in or the one night stay that was promised.

The property was wonderful. Very clean and staff was very nice. The plus was the hotel was near the airport.

It would have been helpful if the hotel had a shuttle. Unfortunately, we were too close to the airport that a taxi wouldn’t pick us up. I am old school, I don’t do Uber or Lyft. So we (2 female seniors) walked the 20 minutes to get to the airport at 5:00 a.m.

Beds were nice.

I booked one of the rooms because of the accessible tub for my mother, but when we got there, there were no tubs available. We only booked that room for the tub for my mother. And when told they didn't have what we booked, they didn't offer us any other rooms. So we paid an arm and a leg for a room with a tub with NO tub. I find that false advertising.

The $25 a day parking fee. This felt like a blatant money grab- it’s not as if the parking was secured or special. Also, the evening hostess at registration would raise her voice across the lobby at fellow employees. I’d like to see a bit more professionalism in her conduct.

Everything was perfect besides the food services, it seems as if the cooks are a little unmanaged with bringing food out in a timely matter regarding the warmth of the food. The drinks were good, and the staff members were very polite.

If the menu had better options and the food was brought out warm, especially for example if you order chicken and waffles, don’t expect for your waffle to be warm or if you order food, don’t expect for your fries to be hot or for your sandwiches to be warm, the food never taste fresh.

We liked everything about the property especially the proximity to Burbank airport.

They didn’t have the breakfast buffet open that was supposed to be included in the cost of our stay.
