Tetra Serviced Apartments by Castle

I liked the value for money.

I didn't like it advertised free parking but there wasn't we had to walk a mile to a parking lot down the street. Also don't like that it's been 2 days and I still haven't received my Bond back for the room. And I've emailed, called multiple times and haven't received any response back.

not much - breakage deposit paid was more than the rent for the night.

The room was not clean, tthe walls were filthy. Bathroom had mould in the shower. Smell in passage was unpleasant. Breakage deposit expected for stay, and it's been almost a week later and still not refunded.

This was our second stay, and once again, we had a wonderful experience. The place is so welcoming and feels just like home.

The location was close to parking, restaurants, supermarket, and downtown. Vibrant and safe neighbourhood. Kitchen was well appointed and beds were comfortable. The separate rooms with their own bathrooms were useful. Couldn't hear voices or music from other occupants.

We did have loud thumping from room above, but this quieted down and was preferrable to hearing TV's and talking. The bathroom was a bit worn, but overall useful and clean.

It wasn’t very clean

10 min walk to the downtown area, the way uphill is not as bad as others make it seem! There are enough supplies in the kitchen to cook etc. Good for a short 1-2 night stay.

Even though the information card stated that the room would be serviced every day and bedsheets changed every three days, our apartment wasn't serviced once during our six night stay! This meant we never got new towels, new bedsheets or basic cleaning of the bathroom. I understand that this is accommodation probably mostly geared towards students but please do not advertise as "serviced" apartment, when the apartment is in fact not serviced. By the end of our stay we even ran out of toilet paper, and because we didn't see anyone at the reception (during the opening times), we could not request more. The bathroom has no window or fan, so there is no ventilation and you could see mold forming on the ceiling. The hairdryer was too weak, better to bring your own. The apartment is next to a student district and Friday night was pretty noisy.

Large lovely and comfortable bed, but in a very small room making it difficult to get to other side of bed.

My first time staying in Auckland city I thought I would of loved it but the city life is just not for me. It was a cool experience though, I'd never do it again. But this place was awesome. The staff are 10/10

PARKING!! Omg I didn't think about the parking I had to pay $100+ for 2 nights parking at Wilson parking just down the road. There might of been cheaper options somewhere else but it was just easy to get to Wilson.

Location was great. Walking distance to most amenities. Grocery store, liquor store and chinese takeaway at the entrance.

No parking. Although there were Wilson Parking nearby, 49 Simmons St opening hours are Mon-Fri, 6am-9am, Sat-Sun 7am-5pm. A 7 day pass was $120. But arriving outside those hours risk being locked out AND after getting is, you risk getting locked in, as egress is through main gates only.. Recommend going with 100 Wakefield Road, also Wilsons, but closing hours are extended. Use Parkmate App for vehicle numberplate registration for 7 day pass. Rookie mistake.

Well organised except we had no plug for dishes, tea towel and bust pan and shovel. But otherwise great.

Flooring is cold, bad draft coming from the windows(Cold) and under main door.

Great two bedroom apartment, had everything you need, would definitely stay again!

No parking at the property. It made it a bit difficult to check in and out with our bags as we had to park elsewhere.

The space we had the amenities it had was provided it was perfect happy we had our own space from the children own bathroom each. Only flaw was no parking we had pay for parking which we didn't after a certain time it's free. I got a good deal with booking.com because I have been using for years for 4 of us it was a great price.

Bedrooms are a bit too small. Not enough place to walk around the double beds. Apartment could have been cleaned during our 4 night stay.

The location was perfect for the activities we had planned. It was nice having a balcony too.

Location is very nice, there’s an asian supermarket, liquor store, & restaurant beside the building. The staff were very accommodating and friendly :) Lastly, the unit was spotless & complete with kitchen essentials. We had a very wonderful stay!! Will definitely come back. :)

Location was good.

Dated and not the cleanest. As it’s part of an apartment building, the building itself has a strong lived in smell of cooking etc. Also no cooling meant at night the room was ridiculously hot. Almost unbearable as the sun streamed right into the room until sunset.

We ha’ve stayed here few times and keep coming back. The room is clean, and the staff are helpful. Good value for money and close to everything. Would recommend for short stays.
