Location is good. Spacious room, spacious bathroom with shower, bathtub and toilet all 3 separated from each other. Equipped with separate portable water faucet. Room service is efficient. Food is tasty. Friendly front desk.

A lot of light switches are not functional. Lamp shades degraded. Furnitures need to refurbish. There are few Roaches in the room, crawling on the mini bar.

Very elegant hotel, staff very attentive, close to Pavillion Mall.

Lighting could be improved in the room, and there is no need for the microwave, cooktop etc. If they were removed it would give more room to store luggages.

The design of the hotel is great, it has a really impressive and grand entrance with symmetrical grand stairs to first floor, and a really beautiful grand ballroom with fish and a water feature including a little bridge.

The hotel is great and I loved it but it has started to take on a little element of old fashioned charm. It seems a little past it's heyday and although everything was spotlessly clean, just seems a little sad in places and needs a makeover and a make-up. I liked the design of the room, and the decor, but our apartment kitchen did not have cooking utensils and the range didn't work. This was fine for us but sort of represents the status of the hotel. I'd love to return again in a few years and find that it keeps its grand charm but has had a new lease of life.

The lobby has such a beautiful interior. I love the traditional look for Malaysian shapes within the design. The food was delicious and would go back to enjoy the restaurant.

As it is an old hotel, it understandably doesn’t function properly however it does not accurately represent a 5 star hotel. My aircon wasn’t cold and the shower and bath both had faults. Towards the end of my stay the water went rusty as well as a decrease in water pressure. On the first morning of my stay, houskeeping understandably tried to enter my room while I was in there as I did not have do not disturb turned on. However the first time they opened the door they couldn’t open the door fully due to the extra lock but then a few minutes later they tried again when it was clear they could not enter. As a single travelling female this was a very uncomfortable experience. When approaching my discontent to reception about the aircon and housekeeping incident, I did not think their response was accommodating to the 5 stars. I found the reception quite unapproachable and unfriendly.

1. The room temperature was quite high even at night. AC may be maintained properly. 2. The water from the bathroom was coming in the porch of the bathtub. That can also be resolved.

Hotel location is perfect , very close to petronas tower and Bukit Bintang , Breakfast is too good ,have lots of continental as well as Indian variety .

La ubicación era muy conveniente porque viajé por trabajo. Además está muy cerca del mall donde podía comer y hacer compras. El desayuno es excelente.

Había estado hace un par de años y lo noté un poco descuidado. La primera vez la habitación me había encantado y la que me dieron ahora era un poco antigua.

Most of the staff was friendly, helpful and good manners.

The male receptionist I met while checking in, kindly answered questions in respectful manners. I'm totally fatigued after driving long hours, just 2 repeating questions should not make him annoyed. Other receptionists are truly helpful and cheerful.

The service was good. Rooms were comfortable.

It was starting to look a little dated, some minor maintenance issues but were remedied immediately

Room was massive and would have been fantastic 5/10 years ago. Lobby was great.

Пока вокруг идет стройка, то это не очень хорошо. Днем постоянный строительный шум. Но это вопрос не к отелю.

The room is clean and spacious. Location is convenient, close to the public transit and shopping malls. Staff members are friendly and helpful.

The AC is not working well although we notified the front desk. TV is old and small. Old towels need to be replaced for a five stars rated hotel.

Lovely traditional style hotel with a stunning foyer. Staff very friendly, especially the concierge who's name I cannot remember. Some of the rooms, as mentioned in previous reviews, are dated and need refurbishment but we found it to be very comfortable nonetheless. We had a room overlooking the pool which we liked and the balcony was much bigger than expected.

There is noisy building work going on but as we were out most days it didn't impact our stay and I knew before I booked. The Sunday we chilled out by the pool was very quiet. I'd like to mention that the hotel should really invest in new sunbed mattresses as they were exceptionally lumpy and tatty.

We had a great stay and actually extended our stay up to a total of two weeks. The studio room is highly recommended for longer stays, as you have a kitchinette and large fridge (no dishes and cutlery, however, so take this into account when you plan your trip). The room is really comfortable, and the cleaning staff very helpful (in our case, on the 5th floor, esp. Mr. Saddam). The location of the hotel is excellent, just a few steps away from the Pavilion, and the large swimming pool is wonderful for relaxing after tours or visiting the city. This time there was only one usable sun umbrella (it seems that all the rest had been removed for repairs), but you could move the loungers under the shadow of the pool bar roof, so there was no big problem. Breakfast offers a wide variety of Malay, Indian and Chinese options. The reception staff was very friendly and professional. Thanks a lot, esp. to Ms Zan, who remembered us from our previous stays at Royale Chulan and made sure we had a pleasant time once again.

In previous years the salad selection at breakfast was much better, including some Arabic options, such as hummus. This time the salads and fruit platters were a little limited, so reincluding some Arabic options and a wider variety of fruits would be better.
