Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Hotel - Free Suvarnabhumi Airport Shuttle

Staff and facility were great - as always. We had left our downtown hotel a day early just to come back to Amaranth Suvarnabhum. We were not happy downtown with the facility or the food. We knew if we came back to Amaranth Suvarnabhum we would get treated well, have a very clean facility with comfortable room and excellent food...we were not disappointed! The breakfast buffet was plentiful and there is lots of options for dinner menu - I recommend the skewers with peanut sauce appetizer. The shuttle runs hourly and it is best to schedule during check-in to assure seat.

Only thing I believe would make this place a "little" more comfortable, a softer pillow topper on the mattress and better pillows. Again, this is just my opinion even though my bed was still comfortable.

Breakfast was not included and was very expensive if you wanted to have breakfast at the Hotel.

We loved everything about our stay. The staff were all helpful and kind, and the hotel amenities were all as advertised.

There was nothing we didn’t like. Every part of our stay was wonderful, including the incredible oil massages at the spa.

I don't usually leave reviews, even when a hotel truly deserves one. This time, however, I feel I should. Overall, everything was excellent, from the room and the hospitality to the hotel's convenient location. In fact, as you can see, I booked two consecutive stays at your hotel, which speaks for itself. However, I have to mention one serious issue—something that has never happened to me before. As you can see, my last stay was from 5 to 7 July, ending yesterday. When I checked in for the second time, I made it clear to the reception staff that I would be staying until 7 July, even though I planned to leave before the actual night because I had an international flight. I simply wanted to use my final booked day to rest at the hotel, have dinner, and then take the airport shuttle before leaving. Despite having made all of this clear at check-in, this still happened. Yesterday afternoon, after returning from a long day exploring the cultural sites around the Bangkok metropolitan area, I found myself completely locked out of my room. My key card no longer worked, as if I were a complete stranger, even though I had already paid for my entire stay by card. I then had to explain the situation once again to a receptionist whose English was unfortunately very limited, making communication much more difficult than it should have been. Considering that I had already been on a long and tiring journey, this was a very stressful and completely unnecessary experience. It is the only negative aspect of an otherwise excellent stay.

Airport shuttle was very well organized and punctual. The hotel staff gave very clear instructions on where to meet the shuttle, and it was very easy to find them. The room was quite clean and comfortable, excellent for a long layover stay near the airport.. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool, exercise room and spa, in addition to a restaurant, providing everything you might need. Their customer service is also top-notch. I had a problem with my reservation, and they were able to help me quickly resolve it.

Amaranth is consistent. Comfortable. Staff are professional and courteous, and they have helped us on several occasions with baggage storage etc. and airport shuttle from BKK is great.

Can’t think of much, although allowing people to smoke outside the main entrance to the hotel is a bit annoying if you are standing downwind as is almost always the case.

The shuttle service to and from the airport was prompt and excellent. Hotel employees were very helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was good, and it was nice to visit the bar/lounge in the evening and enjoy live piano and singing entertainment. When our flight itinerary changed, the front desk personnel were thoughtful and flexible in accommodating our unexpected recent change in flight schedule, and we were able to extend our stay in the room until we were ready to leave for the later flight. Concierge area has a scale (coin-operated, but not expensive) that allows guests to weigh their luggage before they get to the airport.

Very minor: Room was hot upon our arrival and not cooling down at first -- we didn't know why -- but after we asked at the front desk about the AC, they sent an employee who figured out that the previous guests had not shut the balcony doors properly, which prevented the AC from functioning. (We had not even touched the balcony doors, which appeared to us to be completely shut.) The employee shut the balcony doors properly, and the AC worked wonderfully after that. If you find your AC isn't cooling the room, just ask the front desk for help! Also minor: The hotel is a bit isolated -- not pedestrian-friendly to outside restaurants -- so dining/drinking options are pretty much confined to the hotel's restaurant and bar. Prices were a bit higher than we would have preferred, but at least food and drink were good, and the restaurant staff was exemplary.

החדרים במלון קצת מיושנים, יש מרפסת שלא נותנת שום עניין, אין מה לראות מהמרפסת ולא ניתן לעשן במרפסת בכלל, אז עדיף לישון במלונות יותר קרובים לשדה, ויותר חדישים אם גם ככה אסור לעשן. אין מה לעשות בסביבה והצוות מתקשה לתקשר באנגלית אז צריך לחפש לבד מה לעשות.

There were no rooms available for four people (my wife and our children). But thanks to the two adjacent rooms and the connecting door between them, it wasn't a problem. The pool was great, and so was the fitness room. It's in a good location if you want to stay close to the airport (we had a flight the next day). And we thought this hotel was very beautiful.

The shuttle is a “false” good solution. We arrived at the terminal at 3:04 p.m.; it had left at 3:00 p.m., so we had to wait an hour for the next one (so we took a taxi, which isn't very expensive there, so it wasn't really an issue). On paper, the service offered is good, but in practice it's not very flexible.

The front desk staff was severely lacking. One set of elevators at one end of the building and nearly all of the rooms at the other end of the building. Staff made using the airport shuttle a convoluted process rather than just a normal airport shuttle.

The new hourly timetable for the airport shuttle. After a 9 1/2 hour flight, the last thing we needed was to wait another 45 minutes for the next shuttle cos we just missed one. Just wanted to go to sleep.

It was very good value for money , the bed was extremely comfortable not like a lot of hotels were the beds are hard…. Breakfast was great lots of choices & they cook the omelette in front of you…Staff everywhere were excellent, all smiles & extremely polite..Shuttle bus was very well organised & ran on time..

The only thing that I would say is that if it had a walk in shower instead of a shower over the bath that would be a bonus especially at my age…that is my only concern but it still goes to my No 1 on my list for Hotels in the airport area..

Comme dans chaque hôtel de Suvarnabhumi, le personnel manque de compétences, par rapport à Bangkok city. Ils sont sympathiques mais pas très compétents sur les questions posées et ne prennent pas assez au sérieux les demandes. Un exemple : je demande un taxi par téléphone depuis ma chambre, ( car les horaires de la navette pour l'aéroport sont un peu trop espacés) ils ne l'ont jamais appelé! Faute grave.

Modern hotel. Ruime kamer. Goed bed, goede badkamer. Alles is brandschoon. Mooi zwembad en een goed restaurant. Shuttle naar de luchthaven. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet.

De liften zijn niet handig gesitueerd. Vanuit de kamer moet je een flink stuk lopen en als je dan beneden bent loop je terug naar het zwembad en restaurant. Bij het diner waren wat strubbelingen bij andere tafels. O.a. omdat de gerechten niet gelijktijdig geserveerd werden. Zoals gebruikelijk. Wij hebben nergens last van gehad. Het eten is prima.
