Hotel Bellerive

First, we loved the staff! They were kind, considerate, and always helpful. The breakfasts were excellent and a great way to start the day. Also, the free shuttle to and from the train station was very valuable, and the location is perfect. There were also adequate drawers, shelves, and closets.

As you asked above, the lighting was a bit confusing and not very bright. We were not an able to adjust the temperature at night, so we cracked open the door. I’m not sure if I just didn’t look hard enough for a thermostat.

The view from the bed was the Matterhorn. It was an absolute dream to sleep and wake up to that. The staff was so helpful. Truly a wonderful stay

Amazing hotel in a great location - near enough to the Main Street without the noise. Staff were very helpful, helped us with our Peak Passes. The rooms are beautiful, the spa is small but exactly what you need after a long day walking/skiing. Breakfast was a lovely continental.

Wir waren mit unserem Aufenthalt im Hotel Bellrive in Zermatt rundum zufrieden. Besonders positiv überrascht hat uns der unkomplizierte und aufmerksame Service. Das Frühstück hatte für uns genau die richtige Auswahl – nicht überladen, aber auch keineswegs zu wenig. Alles, was wir uns gewünscht haben, war vorhanden. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über das ungefragte Upgrade unseres Zimmers. Auch einen zusätzlichen Wunsch, den wir vor Ort hatten, hat das Hotel unverzüglich und ohne Rückfragen umgesetzt – so einen unkomplizierten Service erlebt man nicht überall. Die Lage des Hotels ist zentral, gleichzeitig aber angenehm ruhig. Für uns war das ideal, da vieles bequem zu Fuss erreichbar ist und man trotzdem nicht mitten im Trubel liegt. Insgesamt stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Zermatt sofort wieder das Hotel Bellerive wählen. We decided to escape for a few days and arrived in Zermatt with absolutely no idea what to expect. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were completely charmed. The location is perfection, the views are breathtaking, and our room was wonderfully spacious, cozy, and exactly the kind of place you want to retreat to after a day in the mountains. And the spa? An unexpected little indulgence that made the whole stay feel even more special. Safe to say, Zermatt has completely won us over.

There isn't anything not to love about this beautiful hotel. The room was stunning, floor to ceiling patio doors onto a lovely balcony with comfy seats, an extremely comfortable bed, also a sofa. Tea/coffee making facilities plus prosecco, beer & softs drinks included. Wonderful rainfall shower with side bar too, lovely swiss products to use. Also the toilet had 'wash & dry' facilities. Breakfast was incredible! The location was excellent! All the staff were so very welcoming & friendly - really loved staying here ❤️

The toilet area was a bit tight - couldn't really pull up your trousers without opening the door! Shame about the huge crane spoiling the view of the Matterhorn (but nothing the hotel could do about that!)

We loved everything about the Hotel Bellerive. The room was beautiful, the staff very friendly and the breakfast was great.

Comfortable beds and room with an amazing view. warm and welcoming hosts. breakfast was the best we had in switzerland with a large variety (Avocado, Salmon, Cottage, Gamba, etc…) We celebrated our sons 4th birthday and they had prepared a lovely surprise for him at breakfast.😊

The spa could be improved. Steam sauna had no steam. The Jacuzzi had cold bubbles only

We used the steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi and the entire spa facility was clean and welcoming. Also, the morning breakfast was excellent.

The only difficulty was how hot the bedroom got at night and we couldn't open the sliding doors to let in fresh air because it was so loud outside (until about 2:30).

Amazing hotel!! Our room was beautiful with a Matterhorn view. This hotel should be a 4star. The staff are incredible and so friendly. Location is excellent. Don’t hesitate to book a room here. Breakfast was really good and so varied.

We stayed here just few days ago. Beautiful place, pristine rooms. Hotel smells amazing. Has a very modern feel to it. Staff is very friendly and speaks English. Very good breakfast buffet with fresh orange, carrot and apple juices apart from the variety of cheese, cold cuts, breads etc. They have different milk options too. Very environmentally conscious hotel. They make sandwiches from left over breakfast and are free to grab till they run out. A big shoutout to all the staff and especially Riu. Zermatt is a small town so several restaurants, bat, shops, icecream parlor and grocery stores are in walking distance. Train station is a 5-6 minute walk and nit uphill

O hotel é excelente, super confortável, limpo e muito bem localizado, mas o grande diferencial da nossa estadia foi, sem dúvidas, o atendimento na recepção. Queríamos deixar um agradecimento especial à recepcionista HELENA, que deu um verdadeiro show de profissionalismo, simpatia e gentileza! Desde o primeiro momento, ela nos recebeu com um sorriso enorme, foi extremamente prestativa e cuidou de cada detalhe com um carinho que fez toda a diferença na nossa viagem. É raro encontrar alguém tão dedicada a fazer os hóspedes se sentirem em casa. Parabéns ao hotel pela estrutura e, principalmente, por ter profissionais tão incríveis na equipe.

Katja and her team were exceptional. From the pick up from the train station till we checked-out, hospitality was 5*. Staff were so friendly and this really made our stay memorable. The property is very well maintained and we could tell they took pride in it. Will definitely return and highly recommend!

Our stay at Hotel Bellerive in Zermatt was simply exceptional and without a doubt the best hotel experience we had in Switzerland. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness made us feel truly pampered. Our room was incredibly comfortable and beautifully designed. Waking up under the skylight and seeing the Matterhorn right from our bed was absolutely breathtaking and something we will never forget. Breakfast was another highlight: delicious, fresh, and with an impressive variety of choices. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and of excellent quality. The complimentary shuttle service, available on request, made getting around effortless and was just another example of the outstanding service provided by the hotel. Hotel Bellerive perfectly combines comfort, warmth, and exceptional hospitality. If we return to Zermatt, there is no question where we will stay. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Haben ein Upgrad auf ein neu renoviertes Doppelzimmer Deluxe mit eigenem Balkon erhalten. Das Zimmer war sauber und täglich gereinigt. Das Frühstücks-Buffet war reichhaltig und man konnte zusätzlich noch Eier-Speisen bestellen. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt, alles ist in Gehdistanz zu erreichen.

Exceptional find in Zermatt. Super friendly staff. Great dinner reservations. My wife and sister also enjoyed a nice massage. Breakfasts were amazing. We ended up hugging after just two nights as we felt we were part of the staff family. Thank you for the lifetime memories you created and best of luck to the kids in the gymnastics.

Hello, we went to Zermatt for our birthday present. We chose to stay overnight in your hotel-Hotel Bellerive. I must honestly admit that all of you employees are very friendly and receptive to everything, service, providing information and advice, and also cleanliness. The room is very nice. Hotel is in a good location, everything is very close (shops, stalls, train station etc.). There is a very nice quiet corner in the hotel that brings a good atmosphere. We stayed with you for one night but we are more than satisfied. See you again. Best regards and thank you very much once again.

Cannot recommend this hotel more. Wonderful comfortable clean rooms. Staff was so friendly and helpful with recommendations. The breakfast was included with a lot to choose from and everything was delicious. The wellness area was included and great after a long day on the slopes. The location was perfect. Walkable to all of the restaurants in town. Not far from any of the main ski access points. You could walk of take the bus. Cannot wait to plan our next visit.

One of the best ski resorts I have stayed at! The ski room is very well organized and they even provide tissues, mints in your assigned locker! The room we stay at was very elegant decorated. The owner and the staff are very attentive and extremely helpful. They even booked a paragliding adventure for us(Fly Zermatt) which was the highlight of our trip! Breakfast is included with the room rate and the variety, plus the orange juice making machine makes it a perfect way to start your day. Everything is within walking distance, but there is a bus stop close by if you decide to not make the walk to ski lift. We would definitely stay here again when back in Zermatt .

Fantastic location and a beautifully appointed hotel. Very close to everything we needed. Staff were exceptional, very friendly and willing to help. The only drawback for me was the lack of airconditioning in my room although not a problem for the majority of the year.

We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for the week over New Year. From the moment we arrived, we knew we made the right choice!Katja and Mario and all of the staff are just so welcoming and helpful. The rooms are amazing and the fixtures and fittings are all very high-quality. The beds are extremely comfortable with high-quality bedlinen. We were a family of four with two rooms, the rooms have a lot of storage available and a set up to accommodate my two teenagers who shared. The spa area has been designed so well and all of the facilities were immaculately clean and and of high standard. All of the team at the hotel were just so welcoming and so hospitable the breakfast were amazing and we wanted for nothing. The staff are very knowledgeable on the ski area and where to eat in the village and always on hand to help. Being family run the hotel has been very well thought out and great gifts and the mini bar bought smiles to our faces. The ski and boot room is one of the best we have ever experienced and the team at the hotel, even leave tissues suncream et cetera in them for you I’ve never had that anywhere else. It was our first time in Zermat and we were blown away with the scenery and the town itself the skiing is amazing as all the lift systems as others of mentioned. There are many restaurants from high-end to McDonald’s with something for everyone we ate at a sushi restaurant The pizza Roma restaurant across the road North Wall pizza and had a few lunches of the mountains. Zermat is expensive however you pay for what you get and certainly does live up to the hype. If we return to Zermat, we would without doubt try and book into this amazing hotel with this lovely family and team again. I almost hesitated in writing this just in case there wouldn’t be room if we were chose to go in the future! However, I wish the family and team so much success with what they have built in my opinion it should be five stars on the rating. Thanks for making the holiday special. I loved everything about our stay here. The rooms were clean with a comfortable bed. The staff were exceptionally nice and went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience. I absolutely loved the fireplace. AND THE SNACKS. Wow. It’s was the small attention to detail and hospitality. I will definitely come back here again.

I think to appreciate Hotel Bellerive you have to first appreciate Zermatt - review is tailored for someone who has never visited. We visited zermatt the week after Christmas and to say it was amazing would be an understatement - “it” included all of Zermatt - the beauty of the mountains, the village charm, the dining on and off mountain, the long groomed blue runs, the modern ski infrastructure (not Italy side) - all was top notch and unmatched anywhere in the world. When I started my hotel search I had a few non negotiable items - luxury, fireplace, hot tub, place large enough to hold family of 6. Hotel Bellerive delivered on all of that plus breakfast, easy access to village, kind staff, kind owners (Mario and Katja are the real deal), and the most fabulous orange juice maker (we are buying one for our home). A few tips - book early, book here - you don’t need the fru fru of a stuffy old money hotel, book chez vrony (whole family enjoyed twice), buy ski passes to Italy for entire trip and ski over when you like, eat in Italy at least once, pay for a taxi each day to and from slopes especially if you have kids for convenience, buy lots of chocolate (stores close at 7 pm for some reason),ski all parts of mountain (when you think of zermatt you think of Klein Matterhorn area but we loved the sunnega side), train in and get a car out. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hotel Bellerive. We are a family of four, parents and two young adults, and had three rooms. From the minute we arrived at the train station until we departed everything was beyond our expectations. The shuttle from the hotel picked us up within five minutes of our call and when we arrived at the hotel Katja and her husband Mario warmly greeted us. The front desk staff and the breakfast service were incredibly nice, helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was wonderful and as coffee drinkers we very much indulge in coffee and there were so many options to try and enjoy. Our rooms were extremely clean, very stylish and overall perfectly comfortable. The Sunnegga gondola station is exactly a CHF 20 taxi ride and we elected to take a taxi every morning to ski. The young adults walked back to the hotel after skiing and apre ski. This was our first time to Zermatt, so I don't have a point of reference, but I'm not sure you will find a nicer or better place to stay. I think the highest rating you can give to a property is if you were to return to the same location would you stay there again or try someplace new. In our case, we were most definitely not look any further and stay at the Hotel Bellerive again. I said that Katja was the first to greet us at the hotel when we arrive she also came outside to thank us and wish us a safe journey as we waited for the hotel shuttle to take us back to the train station. This was the culmination of a wonderful stay.

Amazing hotel to stay at Zermatt. The room we were upgraded to was out of a magazine. Great breakfast options and spa is amazing to unwind after a day of snowboarding. Staff were very helpful and a great guide to the area.

Das Frühstück war absolut top. Sehr viel Auswahl und lecker. Schöne, saubere Zimmer, gute Lage und sehr nettes Personal. Wir wurden vom Bahnhof abgeholt und wieder hingebracht, top!

Im Zimmer hat man morgens teilweise schon Geräusche aus anderen Zimmern gehört. Nicht sehr angenehm, wenn man schnell aufwacht.

My wife and I booked this hotel for our honeymoon, not knowing just how great of a decision we had made. The hotel- nicest we've ever stayed in, the hospitality of the employees- impeccable, the spa- immaculate, the breakfast- best one we've ever had. The staff was so kind and personable and drove us to and from the train station with our luggage on our timeline. They helped coordinate reservations for us and gave us amazing hiking recommendations. The breakfast included freshly squeezed orange juice, local cheeses, meats, overnight oats, omelettes, avocado, smoked salmon, local jams, fresh breads, fruits, all manner of coffee and pretty much everything else you could imagine having. I would also highly recommend the back to nature package as well as they gift you a backpack full of yummy bread, meat and cheese as well as a bottle of wine, you get a very nice three course meal, and free drinks one night! An added surprise was free ready made sandwiches and fruits in the lobby that we used often for lunches in zermatt! If we are lucky enough to come back, we will definitely be staying here again!

All was excellent! We really appreciated the excellent treatment. The place is astonishing, with incredible views of the Matterhorn. The hotel and rooms are perfect, and the breakfast is superb. But the best part is the staff, world class all the way! We thank them for the wonderful experience.

Poloha hotelu je ideální, všude blízko a přitom klidné prostředí s krásným výhledem na hory. Jídlo bylo vynikající, čerstvé a s výborným výběrem. Celkově jsme byli maximálně spokojeni a určitě se sem rádi vrátíme.
