Pochi canali TV disponibili, ma questo non è necessariamente un difetto. Cuscini forse un po' morbidi, mancanza di aria condizionata.

No Aircon but the room was perfectly cool despite it being an inferno outside, largely due to the fabulous big thick stone walls. Full of character and more comfortable than I expected.

Our room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, with delightful feather pillows. For our 24 hr stay we parked conveniently right opposite the hotel, next to Herrnbrunnen fountain. Don’t miss the lovely breakfast. We loved our stay at Hotel Gotisches Haus, and Axel’s Bavarian hospitality.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Meget charmerende hotel i en smuk gammel bygning, som er meget nænsomt restaureret med materialer i ypperste kvalitet. Personalet og specielt Mathias var meget venligt og imødekommende, og gjorde alt for, at vores ophold blev behageligt. Morgenmaden var dejlig med alt, man kan ønske sig.
Det eneste minus var, at der var usædvanligt varmt. Men det er jo ikke hotellets skyld. En vifte i taget sørget for cirkulation af luften i værelset.

I cuscini erano inesistenti, e ho riscontrato polvere nella stanza. Inoltre dalle foto la stanza Romantic sembrava enorme e per quel prezzo era giusta, invece è risultata più piccola del previsto, con un ampio bagno.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026中世の趣を大事にした、室内に木を多用したとてもすてきな部屋です。寝室も広いですが、バスルームもとても広く、洗面台は2つ。扇型のバスタブがあり、湯温もちょうどよく、とても気持ちよく使えました。昔ながらの鍵の利用も私は好きでした。町自体がこじんまりとしていますが、ホテルからすぐにどこへでも行けますし、早朝の誰もいない町を散歩することもできます。部屋には冷蔵庫はありますが、室内にはいってからスイッチを入れる感じ。必要であれば到着後すぐに電源オンにしたほうがよいです。1階がカフェになっているからかお茶セットやポットなどはありませんが、朝食もついているので特に困りませんでした。朝食はビュッフェ形式ですが、卵料理はリクエストで作ってくれます。1階の朝食をとるスペースはアンティークでほんとうにすてきな部屋でした。 事前に部屋の希望のことや、チェックアウト後のタクシーについてなど相談メールをしましたが、とても丁寧な返信をいただき、タクシーの手配もしてもらえました。フレンドリーでとても気持ちのいいスタッフの方で、ほんとうに居心地良く過ごせました。

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026Locatie van het hotel centraal gelegen in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Ben je er meerdere dagen? Dan is het advies te parkeren op parkeerplaats P5. Voor 3 dagen koste ons dat €16,- (juli 2026). Het hotel zelf is zowel buiten als binnen een plaatje! De inrichting is echt geweldig. De ontvangst maar ook de check out was goed. Voor onze vervolg reis werd tijdens ons vertrek koffie voor onderweg aangeboden. Opnieuw verraste de gastheer ons met een enorm gevoel van hospitality 👍
Geen (avond) diner in het hotel. Maar met de vele restaurants in Rothenburg ob der Tauber is dat makkelijk op te lossen.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Het ontbijt was goed, klein buffet maar er stond van alles. Bij aankomst werden onze koffers naar de kamer gebracht. Perfecte locatie midden in het centrum. Er was een ventilator door het personeel in de kamer gezet omdat het heel erg warm was.
Wij hadden de suite met balkon. Deze suite zit onder het puntdak en er is geen airco. Teruggekomen van het diner was het 35 graden op de kamer.

No light block out on the windows so that the room is bathed in an orange light when the curtains are pulled across. However this was common on our travels in Germany. No tea making facilities in the room and the fridge didn't work properly ie not cold.

It is such a beautiful old building and has been upgraded in a tasteful that provides modern comfort with old world charm. The location was as good as it gets. The staff was very friendly and helpful and provided great advice. I would gladly recommend to my friends.
I do not have a single complaint that is worth mentioning.

Douchen in bad is wel een ding. Er is ruimte voor een losse douche, dat zou ik wel aanbevelen.

Nothing to dislike, although I would like to suggest....a tea/coffee-making facility in the room; a hand-held shower-head would be good in the shower, in addition to the overhead fixed one; The corridors would be much enhanced with some large pictures. The blank walls are a little bland and screaming out for some (medieval-look) pictures; an improvement to the wifi so that fewer log-ons are needed.

Unfortunately due to 37c heat and lack of air conditioning or fans we struggled to sleep. We asked for a fan but were told we were not in the warmest rooms and the south facing rooms had the fans. We were still too hot and uncomfortable though.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026Das Personal war sehr nett, das Hotel und die Zimmer mit Liebe gestaltet um den mittelalterlichen Flair zu bewahren. Außerdem hatten wir ein Zimmer mit Balkon gebucht, dieser war sehr groß und gemütlich.
Leider waren wir bei einer Hitzewelle zu Besuch und es war unerträglich heiß in den Zimmern trotz Ventilator, aber für die Temperaturen konnte das Hotel ja nichts.

Reviewed Jun 16, 2026The location was excellent. The staff were all very polite and helpful. The style of the building and room was great, very medieval. Was lovely to have a big bath. Breakfast was yummy
The pillows were too soft and did not provide any support. Turning the fan on was an odd process, and it turned off itself during the night so we had to turn it back on - it was a little warm in the room.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2026I liked everything: staff, location, comfort and room style, breakfast. And - of course - the view from the window) I lived in an old historical hotel, very cosy and comfortable in the heart of the city. The stuff was friendly and competent.
Only pillows. They were uncomfortable for me.

Desde el momento de la llegada, el recibimiento fue excepcional, y la entrada al hotel es simplemente impresionante, como si viajaras a otra época. Nuestra habitación fue inmejorable, amplia, cómoda y con el detalle especial de contar con una tina, perfecta para relajarse después de un día de paseo. Sin duda, fue el mejor hotel de nuestro viaje por Baviera y volveríamos a hospedarnos aquí sin pensarlo dos veces. ¡Totalmente recomendado!

Reviewed Jun 6, 2026Location of the hotel was great, just one block from the Marktplatz. Staff were very helpful with directions to drive up to the hotel to drop off luggage and inexpensive, overnight parking was an easy 8 minute walk. The street was very quiet after 10 pm when the restaurant across the street closed but not overly noisy while they were open. Bed was pretty comfortable and the 2-room suite was spacious!
It was hot and with no air conditioning we needed to borrow a fan from the front desk to make the room comfortable for sleeping (at least for Americans used to AC!). Our room also had a low doorway between the 2-rooms in the suite that was very hard if you forgot to duck down! The spa tub was difficult for my husband with some limited mobility to climb in and out of to take a shower although I didn't have any trouble with it.

Reviewed May 31, 2026Toplokatie, vriendelijk personeel, topontbijt in een unieke ruimte (de oude bibliotheek), het hele pand ademt geschiedenis, prachtig maar het moet wel bij je passen.
De bedden kunnen beter, althans de matrassen. De plafond ventilator maakte veel lawaai en staat m.i. onnodig op een timer waardoor het er in de nacht meermaals uit moet om deze opnieuw aan te zetten. Een douchegordijn in de zeer nostalgische badkamer zou geen overbodige luxe zijn.

Reviewed May 29, 2026Such an awesome location with a view of the city. Staff was very friendly. Super cool room that feels as old as the city around you.
You don’t realize how much you love A/C until it’s gone, fans in the room would have been nice. We found out after check out you could borrow one from downstairs.
