Hôtel de Chailly

Classic Swiss main house with a certain charm that feels more old-school than modern. Rooms are simple but functional, everything works as it should, and it’s clean. Location is practical if you need Montreux but don’t want to be in the middle of the tourist crowd.

Don’t expect luxury or design fireworks - this is straightforward hospitality. Overall, a solid 8/10 choice: nothing to remember forever, but nothing to regret either.

Wir haben auf der Rückreise aus Frankreich für eine Nacht im Hotel de Chailly übernachtet. Die Lage ist optimal und sehr gut zu finden. Parkplätze stehen direkt am Hotel zur Verfügung. Wir sind Samstagabend angekommen. Da die Rezeption am Wochenende nicht besetzt ist, haben wir vorab per Mail den Code für die Eingangstür erhalten und selbst an der Rezeption über das Tablet des Hotel eingecheckt, was alles reibungslos funktionierte. Die Betten sind bequem, Zimmer und Bad sind sehr gepflegt und absolut sauber. Das Frühstück war wie erwartet sehr gut, zu empfehlen ist die selbstgemachte Marmelade und der Café Crema. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und ausgesprochen Service orientiert. Wir kommen gerne wieder, auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt.

Hôtel très confortable. Excellent buffet au petit déjeuner. À deux pas du transport en commun qui nous amène au centre de Montreux en 10 minutes. Personnel accueillant et à l’écoute de nos demandes.

Pourquoi n’avez vous pas de moustiquaires en Europe? Les fenêtres doivent être ouvertes car il n’y a pas d’air climatisé. Réaction d’un canadien qui déteste les moustiques!!!!

Gyönyörű helyen, egy út mellett van a szálloda, de nagyon jól szigetelt ablakok vannak, semmit nem hallani a kinti forgalomból. Szép, tiszta szoba, modern fürdőszoba és kényelmes ágy. A reggeli is kiváló volt. A szálloda fent van egy dombon, 10 perces buszútra a piactértől, de mivel Montreux kártyával ingyenes a tömegközlekedés, ezért nagyon kényelmes volt. Nagyon ajánlom mindenkinek.

Personeel heel vriendelijk, ontbijt super lekker, kamer voldoende ruim en proper. We kregen een Montreux pass, wat handig was voor het openbaar vervoer. Bus stopt ook letterlijk voor het hotel dus heel makkelijk

Er was geen airco in de kamer en dit viel erg tegen met de warme temperaturen. We hadden geen andere keuze dan het raam open zetten, maar gezien de drukke straat moesten we hierdoor heel de nacht in heus lawaai slapen. We zijn meermaals wakker geworden door de hitte en het geluid.

The bus stop is right in front of the hotel and runs every 10 minutes. The room was very clean. There was a very good selection for breakfast.

Gute Lage, mit Bus schnell ins Zentrum von Montreux. Auch gute ÖV-Verbindung nach Vevey. Gutes Frühstück, alles sehr frisch.

Odlična lokacija. Smještaj udoban i uredan. Doručak divan. Parking pored objekta.

The staff the room had flys in it and wasn't clean to my standards wouldnt recommend it at all

Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich und konnte unsere Probleme und Fragen sofort klären, bzw. im vollem Umfang beantworten. Parkplätze sind an der Unterkunft. Das Frühstück war gut. Das Hotel liegt etwas oberhalb von Montreux, die Bushaltestellen sind jedoch unmittelbar gegenüber vom, bzw. am Hotel, so dass man bequem und als Hotelgast kostenfrei in die Stadt und aus der Stadt gelangen kann. Uns haben die vorbeifahrenden Autos auch bei offenem Fenster nachts nicht gestört, wen es jedoch stört, bei geschossenem Fenster ist der Verkehr auf der Straße vor dem Hotel nicht zu hören.

Perfektes Hotel für das Montreux Jazz Festival. Vom Hotel fährt direkt ein Bus ins Zentrum und auch bis 5h regelmäßig retour. Zimmer sind sauber und neu renoviert, Frühstück dem Preis angemessen. Personal freundlich

There was no prior information that the only available room – an attic economy room – had only a fan and no air conditioning. The heat was unbearable. As for cleanliness, the staff showed me plastic bags for the rubbish bin because they had forgotten to place one, and it seemed they expected me to do it myself!

The hotel is cozy and close to Montreux Jazz Festival. Great stuff, clean and very good breakfast

Beim Frühstück gibt es kein Gemüse, ansonsten sehr lecker, frisch und ausreichend.

Die Lage hat eine gute Verkehrsanbindung, Autobahn, Bus. Das Frühstück ist in der Auswahl OK. Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ordnung und Sauberkeit sind in der Schweiz quasi obligatorisch.

(Unser) Zimmer zur viel befahrenen Strasse, somit können nachts die Fenster nicht geöffnet bleiben. Keine Klimaanlage, nur Lüfter oder Ventilatoren. Das schmälert die Nachtruhe. Während unseres Aufenthaltes hatte das Restaurant geschlossen (wegen den Jazz-Wochen). In der Nähe kein Gastronomieangebot. Der Fahrradabstellraum, immerhin beleuchtet und mit Steckdosen, ist zu klein dimensioniert.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Es ist im 2. OG mit Lift gut zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut. Das Hotel ist mit dem Bus gut zu erreichen.

Im Sommer kann es im Zimmer sehr warm werden. Wegen der nahe gelegenen Strasse konnte ich das Fenster nachts zum Abkühlen nicht offen lassen.

Zaparkovať sa dalo priamo pri hoteli. Poloha je mimo centra ale počas dňa ide autobus od hotela každých 10 minút a v centre ste za 15 min. Dokonca v noci sme sa dostali na hotel autobusom, hoci interval bol väčší. Personál bol neformálny a milý.

Na izbe nebola klimatizácia, my sme mali dni okolo 25 st. a bolo to na hrane keďže slnko svietilo. Počas teplých dní to môže byť problém.

Personnel aimable et avenant, toujours à disposition pour répondre avec compétence aux questions des clients Si l'on souhaite dormir avec les fenêtres ouvertes, la chambre est un peu bruyante du fait d'une voie de circulation passablement fréquentée non loin de l'hôtel mais l'isolation phonique des fenêtres est très bonne. Le petit déjeuner est absolument fantastique! L'emplacement de l'hôtel, sur les hauts de Montreux, est idéal. Des bus navettes gratuits s'arrêtent à deux pas de l'hôtel. Adresse à recommander

La proximité de l’autoroute, très facile d’accès, parking pratique, ligne de bus devant l’hôtel, personnel sympathique, lits très confortables!

Right by the bus stop (15min to the center). Ideal if you want to avoid the hassle of parking in the city centre. Clean and cosy room, in art deco style, full of character. Decent breakfast.

The hallway upstairs (not the room) smelled quite badly, I presume because of the old carpets. No elevator to the third floor - if you have mobility issues, request a room on the first or second floor.

Les oreillers ..du jamais vu ...pas de prises rondes . Travaux très tôt le matin sans qu'on nous prévienne, et la chaleur dans la chambre.

1) la mancanza di un lenzuolo superiore, per cui, si doveva scegliere tra il piumino ed il nulla: scelta poco adatta al clima estivo 2) il fatto che l'insegna con il nome dell'albergo di notte sia spenta: eravamo davanti e non lo vedevamo, Per fortuna, è passato un ragazzino gentile (l'unica persona in giro alle dieci di sera!), che ce lo ha indicato.

Everything was fine. It was a nice hotel other than unable to check in. We had a reservation, it was on their system. But we could not create our room key and check in. Neither could another couple. Later in the evening a Korean family also could not check in. It’s best to have a hotel with a reception in my experience.

Good hotel. Good breakfast. Just next to the bus stop.

For English speaking people, communication is a little challenge. But the staff tries their best to accommodate.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel, prima ontbijt en het eten in het restaurant was ook heerlijk.

De hele nacht door is er veel verkeer, redelijk storend. Vraag een kamer niet aan de straatkant.

Die Lage an der Hauptstraße und Nähe zur Autobahn war super, Bushaltestellen direkt am Hotel. Dank der inklusiven Riviera Card konnten die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel kostenlos genutzt werden. Parkplatz 10 CHF. Zimmer zweckmäßig und sauber, schallisolierte Fenster, vom Straßenlärm war nichts zu hören.

Frühstück etwas spärlich, aber gutes Brot. Die Matratze auf einer Bettseite war leider durchgelegen. Restaurant könnte modernisiert werden, altes Mobiliar.

Die Freundlichkeit des Personals und der Betreiber

Im Zimmer gab es keinen Schrank nur ein paar Bügel, die Hinterlegung Schlüsselcode hat nicht funktioniert, wenn man auf Reisen ist, kann man das Ticket ÖVV nicht selbst ausdrucken, Zu viele Meldungen per e-mail - ohne Internet nur mit Datenvolumen zu empfangen, ohne Smartphone oder Laptop garnicht Hat man Hotel mit Lift bestellt, kann es sein, dass man dennoch eine Treppe mit Koffer bewältigen muss, da der Lift nur bis zum 2. Stock fährt.
