Mooie ruime kamer, kan wel een update gebruiken maar was verder prima.

Swellendam heeft gewoon niet zo veel te bieden. Is een beetje een countryside dorp, wellicht in de zomer leuker dan in de winter maar voor nu was het best wel saai. Is voor echte wandelaars en anders heb je er niet veel te zoeken.

Heel fijn verblijf in een mooie omgeving. Personeel erg vriendelijk. De volgende ochtend was zelfs onze auto gewassen. Het ontbijt was erg lekker en de bedden comfortabel. Ook heel fijn dat er elektrische dekens waren nu het kouder is in de nachten.

Beautiful setting, rooms and lovely breakfast. Accommodated our late check in, and was as easy as checking in with the reception. This is our second time staying at the guesthouse, different rooms, but equally good. Will return in future.

Un alojamiento increible. El personal fue muy amable. El apartamento es inmenso y estubimos un dia muy frio, pero las camas tenian el colchon calefactable. El desayuno es muy completo y el personal del hotel nos labó el coche mientras estabamos desayunando. Todo perfecto.

Breakfast and overall facility was great. Had an issue accessing the property after hours as instructions provided were not correct.

Master bathroom of our unit got very wet every time we showered. There was no extractor fan to remove excess humidity and condensation from the bathroom.

Lovely setting for this Bed and Breakfast , spacious room with a veranda and access to gardens and pool . Large comfortable double bed .

Guest house was busy for our stay and a buffet breakfast served for nearly everyone . It felt like a bit of a scrabble and sometimes food wasn’t as hot as liked . I would have preferred a table order service in a boutique guest house . That said there was a very good choice of food on offer and staff were super helpful and lovely .

The breakfast was excellent with a good variety of options. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The view from the room was beautiful and added to the overall experience. Check-in was smooth, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities met my expectations.

It was cold inside the room. We aren’t allowed to use the garden because of the dog of the neighbours and also the pool the room was overlooking pool was not accessible for us.

Our only gripe was breakfast, the lady in charge of kitchen staff, was so tight with the bacon sausage, and eggs, it was embarrassing, she would cut one sausage into 3, the portions were miserable, and also not keen on speaking English , but any Afrikaner that arrived, she would swoon over them.🇿🇦. She was a white lady by the way.

Perfect location and beautiful property with excellent service. Check in and out was a breeze. Facilities were excellent with friendly and helpful staff.

The views from the bedroom, the port wine is a nice touch and location were great. It's easy to walk everywhere.

Breakfast was okay but didn't like how each room is assigned a table, ie you can't choose where to sit in an empty breakfast room.

We liked everything about this well run establishment.It had everything one could want without being fussy or excessive. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast and even a seat by a lit fire for breakfast on a cold morning.

Tip: Er kan wat geluid van de naastliggende weg liggen. Met oordoppen heb je daar geen last van :) Kortom: geen op- of aanmerkingen. Fijn verblijf gehad!

Courte nuit mais bonne communication avec l'hôte. Malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu tester le pdj car nous partions tôt le lendemain. Chambre confortable, accès facile. Ville agréable et sûre.

The mountain view from the room and the roof terrace were very nice. They washed our car while we had breakfast.

This place felt like it has been sold or is up for sale. Every staff member was in a hurry and there were plenty of maintenance issues. While I was standing at the breakfast buffet someone from the staff came to ask whether we needed new towels in our room. Not sure why that could not wait until after breakfast. We had a room with a living room and kitchen downstairs and rooms upstairs. Downstairs was not cosy at all. The light was terrible. In one of the two bathrooms the shower door was gone and had not been replaced. The breakfast veranda is old and not cosy. It looks like there's no money left for maintenance jobs.

We had an incredible stay at Aan de Oever Guesthouse. The cottage is beautiful, the view spectacular and the service great. Nice neighborhood with great restaurants around. The pool looking at the mountains is an incredible view. Would always come back!

Beautiful complex with a pool and garden. Parking on site, good breakfast. Our apartment was large, even with its own terrace.

The lighting could be cozier, and small side lamps would be nice in the evenings.

The room we were given was very spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable and the room was equipped with a shower and bath. The tea and coffee station worked well and the honesty bar was well stocked with local wines, some cooldrinks and snacks. Breakfast was more than adequate and the staff were helpful and friendly. There were more than enough restaurant options in close proximity to choose from for dinner. All in all a very pleasant experience and we would return.

Das in einem Villenviertel liegende Gästehaus wird sehr professionell und mit Herz geführt. Der Blick auf die Berge ist unbeschreiblich schön. Ein sehr schöner Pool - insgesamt auch wunderbar für Familien mit Kindern geeignet. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen und ist sehr vielfältig. Die Anlage sehr sicher und ein schattiger Parkplatz inbegriffen.

Goed georganiseerd hotel op leuke locatie. Onze kamer had een eigen terrasje, heel leuk. Grote badkamer ook en prima bedden. En ook nog een uitstekend ontbijt.

This place is really really great! I stayed for a week and could have easily stayed longer. The staff is really friendly and nice. The rooms are good, clean and has everything. Good restaurants and nice coffee places are at walking distance. I really loved my time and would definitely come back!

Weak security - homeless person came to our open door to beg while we were resting. Suggest intercom operated gates. He said he walked through the gate that was open.

Sehr schöne Lage mit sehr gutem Frühstück. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal und es wurde sogar unser Auto gewaschen.

Das Zimmer hat bei Ankunft etwas muffig gerochen und die Bettwäsche hatte an einigen Stellen Flecken.

De ontvangst was heel vriendelijk. Wij kregen een goede tip om te gaan wandelen in marloth nature reserve. Ook de aanbeveling voor goede restaurants. De kamer was heerlijk koel en rustig, in de oude sfeer. Mooi zwembad en een uitstekend ontbijt.

Het bed was wat klein voor ons. We hadden beter voor 2 losse bedden kunnen kiezen.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit toller Gartenanlage inkl. Pool. Es sind fußläufig verschiedene Restaurants zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und das Personal sehr freundlich.

De badkamers, schimmel in beide douches. Handgrepen keuken voelden smoezelig aan. De matrassen waren behoorlijk hard.

De ligging, de grootte en ligging van de kamer en de originele inrichting. En de vriendelijkheid van het personeel in het restaurant. ( Gaynor is een topper!)

Ik houd van een stevig matras maar dit was wel heel hard.

Our room at Aan de Oever was extremely comfortable and its location near the historic part in Swellendam was perfect. It was a very hot day, so at least we did not need to walk far in the heat! I would definitely recommend the guesthouse. Breakfast in the morning offered a great selection which we enjoyed before we set off for day 2 of our roadtrip to St.Francis Bay

Quite dark room. Ours was next to the kitchen extractor fan noisy & food smell. Duvet very high tog. So much to hot but luckily top sheet so didn’t use duvet.
