Very bad experience with the bed I couldn't sleep

The ceiling leaking from bathroom above. Carpet was wet. Ceiling stained so obviously happened before. Stained towel. We eventually were moved to a smaller room. No expelair in first room or main light. In 2nd room very loose towel rack and taps - no hot water in sink.

Cheaper than alternatives and close to where I needed to be.

I booked two nights. I couldn’t make my first night as my trains were cancelled. I let them know and asked if i could move my stay, they said no. Okay businesses have to protect their profits. I figured out I could still make it for the second night and emailed to let them know I intended to check in that evening. I received a friendly email back saying that was fine my room was still being held. Arrived to a sheet of paper on the check in desk with a list of names and room numbers (which also made me uncomfortable, anyone knowing what room you’re in?) saying go to your room the key is in the door. Again just doesn’t feel secure walking into a room that’s been unlocked the whole time. Anyway my name was not on the list, I called for someone and they told me it was because I was marked as a no show. They said however they would give me someone else’s room. Then they showed me to a tiny single bed room. I said I paid for a double room. I’m okay sleeping in the single room but can I have a refund for the difference in price? ‘It’s because you emailed us too late’ ‘I received an email saying my room was being held, I paid for a double room’ eventually I was shown to a double room. With that, the bed was uncomfortable and the shower was either freezing or boiling no in between. I just would not stay here again. It’s cheap but not cheap enough for the experience. I want to stress that I don’t really write bad reviews, but small details like names and room numbers just being left in the entryway for anyone pushed it for me.

I didn’t like the cleanliness of the room it was disgusting from the bedroom to the toilet, I was even bitten by something and had marks on my skin the toilet wasn’t clean it had piss stains and the room was very dusty. I had to change hotels and waste so much money due to this when I wanted to make a report or complaint nobody was at the desk so I had to leave. And to top it all off someone tried to enter my room as my room was on the ground floor by the reception….

There was water damage and water leaking from the ceiling into our bed.

The single room was disgustingly! Please see pics of bed. After complaining, the landlord did offer another room but was not happy about it saying what did we expect for that money!

Room was small. Shower head broke off.

Nothing this place was so dirty and the first night I had a shower and was interrupted by someone banging on the door to be told the shower was leaking into the room below and I had to turn it off and was told it was my fault for not putting a towel on the floor.

The cups were dirty for the tea and coffee the divan looked like it had bloody stains on it and the gap under the door made me feel uncomfortable that someone could easily look under.

I always stay here and recommend friends to stay with them

On our arrival the carpark was in a terrible state with smashed fence panels weeds galore and overflowing bins I understand that it's a budget hotel but really 😞 We don't say and book a different hotel

The hotel is a bit out of the way. Breakfast wasn't available. The website showed photos of a nice, large room, but we were given a tiny one. The TV didn't work, and there was no hot water in the shower. It wasn't expensive, so you can't expect too much.

Het hotel staat op een rustige plek achter de hoofdstraat. Ik kon het lopend prima bereiken. Bij aankomst werd ik vriendelijk geholpen en had een kamer aan de parkeerplaats. een tweepersoons bed een kast, badkamer met douche en toilet. Wifi werkte prima voor mij. Ik sliep er maar voor 1 nacht. Er is een centrum waar je kunt eten en drinken op redelijke loopafstand. Ongeveer 15 mins lopen. Ik heb heerlijk bij wild woods gegeten (italiaans).

Je moet hier geen moderne faciliteiten verwachten. Het is een oud echt Engels hotel. Ik was er toen het de hele dag 35 graden was. De kamer heeft geen airco en ook geen ventilator. Dus snachts de ramen open gehad. Daardoor rook ik wel dat er mensen aan het roken waren. Het bed was een boxspring. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding klopt.

Needed photo ID on arrival but wasn't told so had to get someone to send me a picture of it. Needs to be clearer when booking. Loud staff talking in Indian and giggling really loudly from the office and outside until 1:30 in the morning so I struggled to sleep. Slamming doors etc. Bathrooms need renovation. The shower was blocked so it kept filling up with dirty water.

Bath and basin were not clean... had hair still in both yuk! Bed was super king size but covered with single bed size sheet!r Really? I mean the mattress was exposed on both sides. Somebody tell the owner or housekeeper you need to put the correct size bedsheet LOL Be aware- no lift at the property as far as we could tell... so not suitable for disabled or wheelchair users.

De kamer was bovenin het huis. Het was stil; slapen ging daarom prima; ook de matras was goed. Het personeel was behulpzaam, ook al was men niet steeds aanwezig. De locatie was ook goed: deze is vlakbij uitvalswegen (wij bezochten zowel Kew Gardens in Wakehurst als landgoed Knepp, dit hotel ligt daar keurig tussenin, het was voor ieder 20 minuten rijden) en bevindt zich in een van de veertien suburbs van Crawley met een supermarkt op 7 minuten lopen in een sfeervol doorsnee Engels wijkje en daar vlakbij een gezellige pub op 8 minuten. (De pub direct naast de Lodge vonden we minder toegankelijk.) Parkeren was ook goed geregeld: we betaalden 20 pond voor de vier nachten dat we er waren.

Er was geen lift, wat handiger was geweest voor het verplaatsen van onze bagage. Er was weinig ruimte op de kamer om onze bagage kwijt te kunnen (de ruimte was niet berekend op onze vele met de auto meegenomen bagage.) Het geheel is zonder receptie en er wordt geen ontbijt geserveerd; daarvoor reden we elke morgen even naar de Subway in het centrum van Crawley. Van daaruit haalden we dan koffie bij een Marokkaanse koffiezaak precies 1 blok verder. Het gebrek aan receptie stoort niet, omdat het personeel snel op afroep beschikbaar is. Voor mensen die hechten aan standaard voorzieningen als die in een regulier hotel zullen deze nadelen mogelijk irritant zijn; samen met de vele voordelen was het dat voor ons zeker niet. Daarentegen krijg je voor een acceptabel bedrag een stille kamer op een prima locatie.

The room was dirty. Toilet not clean with poop on the sides. Shower door fell off. On 2nd night the room door lock failed and couldn’t be locked from inside the room. No one there to assist. View from room 101 overlooked piles of rubbish in bags. Outside was very unkempt. On the first night there were people arguing and shouting outside. Think they may have been drug users. The receptionist was helpful but the state of the place was dreadful. They did however compensate a little by not charging us for parking.

The staff were really helpful and the room was practical. Toiletries and tea/coffee are provided so I was happy.

Location was difficult to find. The hot water tap in the bathroom didn't work. There was no plug in the basin. Receptionist kept saying he couldn't help me when I requested anything.

£5 parking fee should not be a case in this property as it's their own private parking 🙁. You should just include the charge in the room price but charging the guests does not feel right and leave bad impression. Not a right way of making extra money.

A well-priced accommodation provider if looking for a no frills option in Crawley. Car or taxi arrival makes access easier. They allowed an early check-in on request and the staff were helpful.

There's no air-con or fans for when the weather is hot, and the window opening is limited. It is located within largely residential areas, but for the price you can have no issue.

Lovely stay of 3 nights, with a very helpful staff and professional manager. We will definitely come back !

Room dated but clean. The price for the area was good.

The shower was only running cold. As it was very hot this was not such a problem but could be if the weather was colder.

In need of repair, very tired. Missing and rotten wood on the outside of the building. Missing / broken basic things like a towel rail and toilet roll holder. Half used toilet roll, should be all new for new guests. Rooms are noisy, not well sound proofed and the smell of curry wafted through from other rooms or the front desk. View from the windows (with dirty nets) was of over grown, weed full yard, with rubble etc Windows locks loose. Shower had a curtain that was stained, the toilet / shower room had visible signs of previous water leaks on ceiling. Shower tray had broken edge. Mirror in bathroom is old and worn. Carpet is stained. One pillow cover was ripped. Network cable not attached to the wall properly and visibly trailing on the floor round the room. Radiator is full of dust and fluff. Car park did not seem very secure and they wanted to charge extra for parking. They took a picture of my driving license as proof of ID that I felt very uncomfortable about, my booking invoice should have been enough.

Good clean lodge. Exactly what you need for overnight stay by airport. There's a shortcut to go to bus stop, which Google maps don't have. Ask staff member to show.

It's exactly what I wanted. The manager, Uslama, is very accommodating and will do his utmost to help. I can't praise him highly enough.

Just to make it clear that you need to bring some form of id to check in.

Wij hadden de pech dat we in de kelder een kamer hadden,al wilde ik niet op de 3de etage slapen,maar daar was veel kamers ook voor het personeel,ook boven ons, dus je hoorde van alles,lopen,deuren dicht vallen en praten,ook in de nacht,daar heb ik wel wat van gezegd en was ook gelijk opgehouden,dus dat was wel fijn.

Front door was unlocked, no-one at the desk, room door was unlocked anyone could have been in there before we got to it. I paid for Deluxe room, was extremely basic, bathroom was mouldy, bedroom was filthy, mattress was far too soft.

It was unreasonably warm in the property even tho it was cold outside. I had to sleep without blankets because of it.

There was a guy on reception when we arrived and then we never saw anyone again, despite ringing the bell for service. The room was tiny, there wasn't a lot of space to move around the bed (which took up most the room). The room wasn't clean. Inside the wardrobe was caked in dust, you couldn't put anything clean clothes in there. There was chocolate left on the floor from the last guest. Twice, the guy in the room next to us tried to get into our room. First time I was getting dressed and our door was unlocked, the 2nd time was in the middle of the night, luckily our door WAS locked. The main entrance door remained unlocked the whole time we were there.

Staff were fantastic Osama really looked after me,moving bags ,etc.Nothing was too much trouble.
