Our room was generously sized with good seating options including a comfy chair, a couch and a desk chair. We also had 2 terraces since we had a corner room, one with a view of the matterhorn, and one that we sat on if it was too sunny. The room and hotel were very clean and quiet. The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast staff were very attentive. The hotel gives you free access to a very nice spa a few minutes walk which we used twice. Free shuttle to train with luggage was very convenient.

Das Frühstück war so hervorragend das wir uns jeden Morgen darauf gefreut haben. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Da wir ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss bekommen haben, konnten wir leider nur die Spitze des Matterhorns sehen.

I didn’t mind but the hotel spa facilities are located in a different hotel , this is worth noting on booking.

It is newly renovated and the rooms are really nice, with a small balcony. The lounge area is really nice. The breakfast is fantastic and the staff at the breakfast and the reception very friendly and helpful. My partner was able to use the spa in the hotel next door as well as the gym. Zermatt is wonderful.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit Blick aufs Matterhorn. Super nettes Personal. Koffer stehen lassen für eine Nacht war kein Problem. Kommunikation verlief immer super schnell. Spa Bereich im anderen Hotel war auch sehr gut.

여기 너무너무 좋았어요. 사진 상 새 건물 같았는데 가구도 시설도 아주 깨끗하고 좋았어요. 특히 저희는 마테호른이 보이는 탑층을 받았는데 너무 사랑스러운 방이었어요. 다시 한번 감사합니다. 조식은 종류가 많진 않지만 모든 음식이 다 맛있어요. 알펜호텔 스파를 무료료 이용 가능해서 갔는데 길만 잘 찾으면 5분 안 걸려요. 저희는 빙 돌아가서 10분 정도 걸었는데 동네가 이뻐 걸을만 합니다. 트래킹 후 알펜 호텔 스파 온천에서 몸 녹이니 피로가 풀려 좋았어요. 직원분들도 모두 친절하세요. 다음에 다시 간대도 이 호텔 갈 것 같아요.

Sehr ruhige Lage! Sehr modern, alles war neuwertig, wirklich gut! Das Frühstück war grosszügig! Das Taxi konnte man immer bei der Rezeption bestellen, Bedienung war sehr gut.

Die Beleuchtung von der Aussenseite war lange eingeschaltet, konnte man nicht ändern. Eine Aussenbeleuchtung Ist unseres Erachtens nicht notwendig, zumindest nicht länger als bis 22:00, vor mir aus auch bis 23:00.

Hotel céntrico a 5 minutos andando de la estación, también tiene servicio transfer para llevar a los clientes a la estación de tren y recogerlos. Está renovado, casi nuevo, y con una decoración muy bonita. Muy recomendable la habitación con balcón con vistas al Matterhorn en verano, es una maravilla salir al balcón y descansar escuchando el río y viendo la montaña. El desayuno es fantástico. El personal es muy amable, especial mención a Yolanda, que nos ayudó mucho a planificar nuestras excursiones. Es un encanto. Creo que pertenece a la cadena del hotel Alpine resort &spa, y está realmente fenomenal y hemos estado encantados. Muy recomendable.

Calor en verano (Zermatt no permite aire acondicionado) y los edredones son gruesos. Deberían tener ropa de cama de verano porque por la noche hace calor.

Die Lage, war alles in der nähe, das Zimmer ist schön eingerichtet, super gutes Frühstück

Die Terrasse waren nicht getrennt, wäre besser mit einer Barriere, somit mehr Privatsphäre. (Unsere Zimmer war 205) Was mich auch nicht ganz gepasst hat, ist die Gepäck Deponierung, die Tür war immer offen und es könnte jeder einfach rein kommen und das Gepäck klauen. Besser wäre mit einem Nummer an das Gepäck anbringen, Tür schliessen und bei Abholung an der Rezeption melden.

Sehr gute Betten und Decken, schöne Zimmer, sehr schöne Sicht. Alles sehr sauber. Zentrale Lage. Praktisch für Familien und Paare. Leckeres Frühstück. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal.

Central location, super close to the Sunegga Bahn. Room was spacious and light, good value for money. It served the purpose for a girls trip during zermatt unplugged.

There was an occasional sewage smell coming from the toilet and the bed was squeaky. Breakfast was basic and not fresh- the bread rolls were so hard that they were inedible.

Location, balcony and high ceiling. Generally clean.

Staff/owner attitudes. Creaky and old beds. Empty pillows. Creaky bathroom door. Room different than photo... Not sure about soundproofing either....

What a great hotel! Everything was perfect for a boys trip for dad and 18 year old son. Great location close to the main shopping area and lifts but also a nice quiet spot. We’ll be returning next year with the rest of the family. Thanks for everything.

Breakfast was an amazing buffet - the cheese table was astounding, filled with local Zermatt and Swiss cheeses.

Room was comfortable location was great. Short walk to main drag, Gornagot, and Sunnegga. I was with a group but needed to get my own space and this worked perfectly. Price was good considering I planned most of my time outside of the room. Room comfortable and staff extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good. good ski shop to rent skis and boards 100 m away. Convenient room for storing equipment and not tracking in snow and dirt. Boot heater was a plus.

Great location if traveling by train to the airport. Close to shopping and restaurants. Hotel staff were helpful with restaurant recommendations. Comfortable bed.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Zermatt, look no further! We stayed for 6 nights for a ski vacation and the hotel was absolutely perfect and suited all of our needs. The room was a very good size, and the beds are very comfortable (always a plus on a ski trip). We opted for a room with a view of the Matterhorn and it was truly incredible to wake up to that every morning. The location was so convenient to everything in town, including the quick and easy walk to the ski lift. The ski storage room with the boot heaters was also very convenient for the end of the day! The fireplace in the lobby gave it such a warm and cozy atmosphere as well! Not only is the hotel itself excellent, but the staff there truly made the stay such an enjoyable experience. They were very friendly, always happy to help, and very knowledgeable about the town and gave great recommendations. I would definitely stay here again and world recommend it to anyone taking a trip to Zermatt!

This is the second year in a row we stayed at this hotel. It is convenient located a few minutes walk from Sunnega and the center of Zermatt. Great service, very charming hotel, always spotlessly clean, and best of all, a fabulous breakfast. I will highly recommend it.

We had a great stay at the Hotel Phoenix. The rooms are pleasant and very clean. Some have views of the Matterhorn. Breakfast was good too. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We booked directly with the hotel and communication was excellent throughout. Location is great for access to the Sunnegga Funicular. While not in the centre of town, it is however an easy walk to the train station and main shopping area. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient location, few minutes walk to the Sonnegga station, nice place, ski room at the entrance, huge gym and the ideal buffet breakfast for us.

I'll summarize first: I can't wait to go back to Zermatt, and we'll definitely stay at Hotel Phoenix. The location was great, easy walking into the center city area, to the access points to ski for the day etc. The room was wonderful, VERY clean, and the overall atmosphere was spot on. The breakfast was ready to go every day by 7:30am, plentiful...just well done overall. I have to say though, the staff really made a difference. From management to the cleaning staff, everyone was extremely helpful, informative, friendly...on and on. Having the ski gear room, with a wall of boot warmers and ski racks was a nice bonus

Stayed here with the family on our Christmas vacation. What an excellent find! Charming, Cozy, Great location, very clean and excellent service. Laurence and Denis are excellent hosts. This made it to my revisit list.

ロッジ風のかわいい造りのホテルで、室内は空調なしでとても暖かかったです。朝食も種類が豊富にあって、楽しめました！ お水が1人1本(１つは炭酸入り)がサービスでいただけたのもありがたいです。　洗面所に換気扇があったのもよかったです。 また、スタッフさんの対応もフレンドリーで やけどをしてしまい応急処置が必要となった際にもとても迅速な対応をしていただけてとても感謝してます。ありがとうございました。

周辺ホテルはどこでもですが駅からの上り下りの坂があったので時間に余裕を持って行動することをおすすめします。 あとはシャンプー&ボディーソープが小さめ(でも1泊につき1人1本いただけました！)のとスリッパがなかったのでこちらはご持参をおすすめします！

The breakfast was amazing - great selection of cheeses, pastries, bread, etc. The room was very clean and even with the couch made into a bed, it provided enough room for our luggage. We did only have one pillow per person, but after speaking with reception, they were able to provide more pillows. There was no AC or fans, but with the doors open, it was not too hot.

Spent two nights at Hotel Phoenix in September - it was great. Very nice, quiet hotel and short walk from the train station. Several very nice restaurants are close by that, being on the other side of the river from the town center, are a little off the well beaten path and so are likely not as crowded. The hotel has a deal with the fitness center next door that guests can use their facilities, which are extensive - you just have to ask the front desk and they will let you in. We also enjoyed sitting the lounge drinking a lass of wine in from of the fire.

Did not like the tiny bottles with shampoo etc so much.

We spent a few days here in early September. The room was amazing. We had a balcony view of Matterhorn. Only reason we would rate the room a little lower was the shower was too small, we constantly turn the water off or cold when we moved. The rest of the room and bathroom were perfect. The front desk service was amazing and super helpful. The breakfast was very good, and again the service was great. FYI, if you have a lot of bags, (we didn't) and are walking from the train station (we did) you must go up a steep hill to get to hotel. We would stay there again. Really enjoyed the hotel.
