For my stay the property was in a convenient location and the room was very good for a one night stop. The staff were all friendly and I enjoyed my meal in the bar in the evening.

I dont day this lightly but the best staff ive ever had at a hotel anywhere ive been in the UK. Food the pub was exceptional value for money and breakfast was great.

Room was too hot but fans were provided and thats really more of a UK issue with the heatwaves and not really their fault. Did enough to mitigate it for us where they could.

Room didn't have a window in the room itself. It had a skylight but made the room feel dark. Only issue we had was the shower didn't drain properly so the bathroom got flooded. Also the bathroom door didn't shut properly.

The late welcome from the owners, the fantastic thaï food on the menu, the sweet ladies working there in the morning, and also being able to head to the Jurassic coast pretty fast made it a good base to visit the area. Quiet room for 4.

Staff were very helpful, gave us all the information we needed. They asked if we wanted dinner and got us a table ready. Food was delicious and hot. They forgot cheese on my daughters chips which none of us were bothered about, but the chef came out and apologised and treated both my children to a chocolate bar, they were over the moon.. really lovely gesture. Our room was great value for money. We would happily go back

What a fantastic stay! There were six of us in total, spread across three rooms, while visiting local attractions, and we were all made to feel incredibly welcome by the wonderful staff at this hotel. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and set in the beautiful Somerset countryside, making for a peaceful and relaxing stay. There was secure parking for our motorcycles, which was greatly appreciated—just watch out for the gravel! The hotel is also in a great location, only about an hour from Dorchester and just five minutes from the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Ilchester. A huge thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Rommelige entree, met uitzicht op een chaotisch samenstel van containers, afvalbakken, schuttingen, stacaravans. Ontbijt is standaard Engels, zonder variatie. Slechts één vd vijf avonden blijven eten. Aanbod is het standaard pubfood, daarnaast de hier door anderen geroemde curry’s - die worden echter geleverd door een catering, dus daarvoor hoef je er niet persé te verblijven.

Das Inn liegt etwas ausserhalb und ist schön ruhig. Wir haben am Abend dort hervorragend gegessen. Frühstück war gut. Zimmergrösse war für die eine Nacht ok. Sehr freundliches Personal. Haben uns dort wohlgefühlt.

Sauberkeit hätte etwas besser sein können, vor allem die Tierchen im Badezimmer waren nicht so angenehm.

The staff were very helpful and very welcoming. The room was perfect for our family of five and a dog. They rang us to say if we were going to be late did they want to keep some food in the pub for us. Just really nice place. We told the staff that we would leave at 0630 which was before breakfast so they bought some breakfast, milk nd OJ for us to have in the morning.

Staff get 11/10 - very friendly. Breakfast was great. We ate dinner too and the food was great. Family of 4 stayed here as a pitstop on the way to Cornwall, will come back again.

Although it wasn’t part of the accommodation itself, we did find that the picnic benches around the lake were a bit delapidated and overgrown with grass.

It was the 3rd and last night of our family staycation: we wanted a place to stay overnight, instead of a long drive back home. Who would've though that a gem of classic English inn can be found 'in the middle of nowehere'! Steve, the manager's, warm welcome in the late evening made us forget the long day's toil. There is a caravan parking site and some cottages as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wishes to experience the classic British hospitality. Rooms: Our room was a family one with a spacious double bed and 3 single beds. Amenities included a smart tv, a mini fridge, kettle with plenty of tea & coffee with biscuits. We loved our room. Nearby activities: There is a vast open space you can walk around and enjoy the idyllic setting. 21:10 Food and drinks: Our room came with breakfast. There was a choice between a full-English and the vegetarian option. Cora's service was amazing: hot food served with love and care. Hotel highlights: Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Child-friendly and Great value

Fantastic, lovely spot, really friendly staff, felt at home within minutes, lovely breakfast, just a brilliant atmosphere. Steve, the owner could not do enough. All the staff down to earth and so welcoming. Will definitely be back if and when I'm back in the area..

Little gem enroute to other places. Staff really attentive, friendly & professional. Exceptional food, all freshly cooked and very good value for money. No airs or graces are needed here, fitted in nicely with local community who you can see love and use this space. Very good value for money, would stay again.

Could hear the bar through the floor but was absolutely silent after closing time. Very lucky to arrive before final dinner orders of 19:30 we must have missed the memo.

Well situated for our visit to Yeovil. No stairs to climb. Comfortable bed. Good selection of drink sachets in the bedroom. Breakfast selection was very good and the carvery dinner was exceptional. All staff were friendly and courteous and most helpful.

Very enjoyable relaxing stay. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Comfortable, warm, clean and spacious room with all amenities including a fridge. Evening meal was exceptional and good full English breakfast. Grounds include a lake with a walk round it and far reaching views will definitely stay again.

We are three mates that was looking for accommodation within 15 mins drive to Shepton Mallet show ground for the classic bike show, having travelled down over 200 miles. We were greeted at 9pm and although the kitchen had closed, they knocked us a meal up and was spot on. It's a cracking pub and our room was in an annexe and had an upper level with two beds and a double on the ground . It was perfect for the three of us.

The room. It wasn't a room in the hotel, but a chalet type block at the rear of the hotel. The finish on everything was poor. It all looked as if it had all been done by a novice DIY person. It was OK, but certainly not to a high standard. I only met one member of staff and she certainly looked and acted as if she'd rather be anywhere else but there. All in all, very mediocre.
