Reviewed Sep 4, 2026We always stay at The Ibis in Leiden for convenience. Very close to the train station and a beautiful place to stay. We never had breakfast so am unable to comment.
For the price we paid, I do feel The Ibis could include breakfast in the price. However, because of its location and being close to everything we needed, we always opt to stay here.

O que mais nos desagradou foi, sem dúvida, o atendimento dos funcionários, especialmente na receção. Fomos tratados com arrogância, frieza e uma evidente falta de simpatia e profissionalismo. Desde o primeiro contacto, tivemos a sensação de que a nossa presença era um incómodo. Além disso, inicialmente colocaram-nos num quarto para deficientes, com uma casa de banho totalmente adaptada e sem box de duche. Quando fomos reclamar, a forma como fomos atendidos tornou a situação ainda mais desagradável. Pagamos por um quarto superior e o q recebemos foi aquilo. O pior de toda a experiência não foi o quarto em si, mas a maneira como fomos tratados. Um hotel pode ser simples, mas educação, respeito e cordialidade deveriam ser o mínimo esperado de qualquer equipa de atendimento. Foi uma experiência muito dececionante e que não gostaríamos de repetir.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026De ligging van het hotel is naast het treinstation en bushalte en op paar minuten wandelen van het centrum. De deluxe kamer op 6de verdieping met uitzicht over het centrum was heel mooi. Ook het personeel was vriendelijk.
Enige minpuntje was dat de slaapkussens veel te zacht zijn voor ons en geen hangers bij de deur om jassen, vooral als die nat zijn, omhoog te hangen, maar misschien verandert dit want men gaat in het hotel de kamers renoveren

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026Hotel zlokalizowany tuż obok dworca kolejowego i autobusowego. Mimo to w pokojach nie było słychać żadnych hałasów z zewnątrz. Idealnie dla osób chcących zwiedzać Holandię z wykorzystaniem kolei. Czyste pokoje, sprzątane codziennie. Parking całodobowy w rozsądnej cenie (17,5 euro za dobę) w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie (kilkaset metrów pieszo), samochodem znacznie dalej :)
Pokoje bardzo małe. W trzyosobowym brak miejsca na rozłożenie walizki (trzecie łóżko na siłę wepchnięte do dwójki). Brak jakiejkolwiek szafy. Non stop trzeba potykać się o swoje bagaże. Brak gniazdek elektrycznych przy każdym łóżku. Śniadania smaczne, ale codziennie dokładnie takie same, co przy dłuższym pobycie robi się monotonne, bo wybór potraw nie był zbyt szeroki.

Había una almohada un poco sucia y lo dijimos en recepción pero no vinieron a retirarla en los 3 días que estuvimos. No volvimos a reclamar pq había una almohada extra en la habitación que pudimos utilizar. Había hervidor de agua con infusiónes y café soluble pero se hubiera agradecido mejor una cafetera tipo Nespresso para cápsulas cómo hemos visto en otros hoteles. Mobiliario un poco anticuado pero en buenas condiciones. El hotel anuncia reformas en sus habitaciones por lo que para el próximo año estará todo nuevo.

This was one of the most inexpensive hotels in a very expensive city, so I wasn't expecting much, to be honest, but everything was completely lovely! My room was small-ish but did not feel at all cramped, and it included a desk/table by the window. Being right by the train station was fantastic, and I didn't notice any noise (from outside or inside).
No complaints.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026I it very central and convenient when you travel by train - not by car as there are no parking spots available to book before, you are lucky if you manage to get one once you arrive. The staff is very nice.
We paid 800€ for three nights. The shower was horrible as it was a room for reduced mobility and the water went from the shower into the room. Also we said we don’t want a baby bed but still got one and charged for it. The price is insane. Parking is 25€ a day as well. Never again. Also we lost electricity once and the room was more like a youth hostel.

You can store your bicycle in the Hotel, although the access to the bike-room is rather difficult. Room is not very spacious but ok for sleeping. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning.
Parking the car becomes expensive… roughly 30€ per day: there is a public garage nearby.

We hadden een kamer met uitzicht op station en drukke verkeersweg onder ons, dientengevolge veel lawaai in de avond- en nachtelijke uren, waardoor we met gesloten ramen moesten slapen. zouden als gevolg hiervan een kamer aan de andere willen bij een evt.volgende boeking.

De kamer. De badkamer vond ik vies. Vieze plekken op de muren, vieze zwarte en gele plekken- kitranden in de douche. Vieze toiletpot. Nieuwe handdoeken s’morgens werden achter gelaten op de wc. Jakkes!! Ontbjt zeer matig. Droog brood, gekookte eieren veel te lang gekookt. ( dikke zwareceieren met gekleurde randen binnenin) Bij het verlaten van het hotel moesten we van vier hoog met onze koffers naar beneden via de trap omdat de liften buiten werking waren ivm onderhoud. 🙁

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Dicht bij station; ontbijt was uitgebreid en goed. Verder een hotel met verzorgde voorzieningen, netjes en oogt schoon. Centraal gelegen en goed bereikbaar.
Ontbijt voor mijn behoefte te duur, geen parkeergelegenheid. Om die reden dan ook met de trein gereisd. Verder de uitstraling van een stadshotel zonder uitzonderlijke kwaliteit of klantbinding.

La ragazza della reception ci è parsa molto approssimativa quando abbiamo chiesto dove potevamo parcheggiare le due moto. Continuava a pubblicizzare parcheggi a pagamento mentre nel retro dell’hotel c’era parcheggio e dí posto x due moto ce n’era in abbondanza. Quando siamo arrivati,la città aveva lavori in corso ovunque e il navigatore continuava a rimandarci nella periferia. Abbiamo faticato parecchio a trovare la strada x l’hotel nonostante fosse ben visibile dalla strada

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Nice clean room. Fabulous shower. Comfortable bed. Secure bike storage. Very pleasant and friendly staff. Also the breakfast was really nice.
The bike store was very secure but it was down a flight of stairs. When you’re in your 70’s with a heavy eBike it was a struggle to get it back to ground level.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was very clean and comfortable, and the location was excellent — convenient for exploring the city and getting around. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Everything was well-organized, and we felt very comfortable here. Highly recommended! We would definitely stay again.

Een luie stoel op de kamer zou ik waarderen, ipv het krukje.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Location: adjacent to the central railway station, and a mere few minutes' walk away from the charming old centre. The staff were lovely, warm and welcoming and I heartily recommend a pay rise! Leiden was always previously one of those places I passed by on the train on the way to Den Haag, but this place is a pleasant base from which to explore it.
In this day and age, what hotel room does NOT have a mini-fridge. I can live with no bathtub in a hotel (efficiency, saving water, etcetera....), but to not have an in-room mini-fridge is simply incomprehensible.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Situation idéale juste en bordure de l'accès au centre ville et à proximité immédiate d'un parking super sécurisé. Top. En plus face à la gare pour ceux qui circulent en train. Chambres propres avec literie confortable. Petit déjeuner vraiment super avec un large choix de produits de bonne qualité. Hôtel calme malgré sa situation. Personnel sympa.
Rien de particulier mais certaines chambres sont en cours de rénovation et devraient être un peu plus au oût du jour en matière de déco et de confort sous peu.
