The location is fantastic. 1 city block from the train station and right on one of the inner-city canals. Great spot for 2 or 3 people to stay.

Super nice host, amazing stay

An excellent location — just a few minutes’ walk from the railway station, yet in a quiet neighborhood right on the canal bank. Surprisingly peaceful at night. The bed was very comfortable, and the apartment was well furnished with everything needed for a longer stay.

A small detail that could be improved: all the shelves and hangers are open; a closed wardrobe would be nice.

The location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere and is close to Leiden station.

We last stayed at 'T Singeltje in November 2023. The apartment has been refurbished since then. All the appliances and furniture are of good quality and in good condition. The apartment is very well-equipped with everything you could need. (There is now a microwave!) Additional decor touches (since our previous stay) have made the apartment more attractive and home-like. The location is excellent. We could walk to everything in the city centre, and had our bicycles with us to reach attractions further afield in the area.

There is no lighting in the kitchen area itself. An overhead light is sited over the dining room table but it is quite dim. The result is that food prep and cooking has to be done in near darkness (not a huge difficulty in August but not ideal during the winter) and the lighting is too dim to be able to read at the dining room table. On the other hand, the overhead light in the bedroom is extremely bright - which feels jarring. We would suggest swapping the lighting between bedroom and dining room, and then adding appropriate lights in the kitchen.

The apartment is on the ground floor not far from the central train station. It is across from the beautiful Mill Museum and walking distance from anything you could want. The host was responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend staying at this apartment.

- Die Wohnung ist gut geschnitten, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und gemütlich, alles ist sauber. - Die Ausstattung ist gut, man hat alles, was man braucht. Die Möbel sind von guter Qualität, das Bett ist komfortabel. - Die Lage ist unschlagbar: man ist jeweils nur wenige Gehminuten vom Bahnhof oder Innenstadt entfernt, aber die Wohnung ist schön gelegen an einer der Grachten mit Blick auf die Mühle. Supermärkte, Restaurants und Cafes gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe. - Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, sie antwortet schnell auf Nachrichten. Alles hat sehr gut geklappt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Es ist der sehr guten Lage geschuldet, dass es keine kostenfreien Parkplätze in der Nähe gibt. Es empfiehlt sich eine Anreise mit Bus oder Bahn, ansonsten fallen zusätzliche Kosten für das Parken an. Das ist aber in Ordnung, weil es in der Beschreibung auch aufgegriffen ist.

Het was fijn om te merken dat een jaar na dato, ‘t Singeltje nog steeds zo’n fijn en gezellig plekje was in Leiden. Goed uitgeruste keuken, fijne bank, slaapkamer en badkamer.

Locatie is fantastisch! Je zit aan de rustige kant aan de rand van het centrum. Kijkt uit over parkje met molen. Ruim appartement voor 2 personen. Mooie badkamer. Gezellig ingericht. Comfortabel en knus.

Hygiëne kan beter. Badkamer brandschoon, maar rest vh appartement slecht afgestofd en vloer was zanderig. Er is een tuintje, dus je kunt naar buiten. Helaas wordt dit gebruikt als opslagplaats. Kast in struiken, fiets, kruiwagen en andere spullen, border met wildgroei. Hier kan iets prachtigs van gemaakt worden met een beetje fantasie en waarschijnlijk waren we dan wel buiten gaan zitten. Ondanks deze punten vinden wij het een aanrader

Great location, near the train station, at the end of a terrace of older style houses. Quiet at night. Comfortable beds. Everything functioning as it should (hot water, shower, wifi, tv). Lock box to access keys, so late arrival time not a problem. Outside space with table and chairs.

The bed is a bit small for two and it was very warm during the hot days. Would be nice to be able to open windows for more of a draft.

We loved the location! So scenic and close to train station and landmarks.

The apartment was super conveniently located 5 minutes from the station and from the shops and restaurants. It was clean, comfortable and had all the facilities needed for a short, or longer, stay. I’ve stayed in Leiden a handful of times and this was the best accommodation we’ve had, by far.

- The location is perfect! Leiden Centraal (train station) is a couple of minutes away from you - Right in front of the living room you look at the beautiful windmill - The house is warm and the toilet has heated floors - We thought the couch was small but we found out last day that it's extendable!! - Kitchen had everything you'd need to make things inside - The instructions were clear and easy

- Construction next to the house was brutal, starts around ~8am, that was the biggest set off from the whole experience - When it's raining, and believe me it's always raining, there is a pipe next to the bedroom window that keeps making sounds and wouldn't let you sleep at night - No outlets in the bedroom

The apartment is well furnished, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

It might be nice to have a microwave. There was a user's manual for one in the guests folder, but we couldn't actually find one anywhere in the kitchen. We didn't really need one, but other guests might really like to have one.

It would be great to have an outside sitting area at the back and perhaps the entrance tidied up a little...some plants and flowers would give it a real lift. Better blinds as well.

Very cozy, clean, well equipped and spacious apartment recently renovated and beautiful, also ideal for the couple. Very good location in the city center, near Leiden central station, beautiful view on the river. Easy reservation, good communication with the renter. I highly recommend T Singeltje apartmenet, we will definitely return 😊

Nothing bad to say..

The space and the cooking utilities were more than enough and in perfect conditions. The TV with Netflix and other platforms surprised me.

The heater lasts too much time in heating the apartment. The shower did not have shower gel. The rest was perfect.

Close to the train station, and in Leiden that means being within walking distance of all city-center attractions. And there is a working windmill just out the front door

My wife & I take 5-6 breaks a year in apartments booked with Booking.com, airbnbn etc. This apartment is probably the best that we have ever stayed in. It is in a great location, around 5 minutes walk from the railway station and close to restaurants, supermarkets etc, including an excellent Thai restaurant (called Sisaket) around 3 minutes walk away. It is in a picturesque row of houses, facing a lovely canal & a working windmill. Everything was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable & tastefully decorated & furnished. The owner has clearly gone to a great deal of effort to ensure that guests have as positive an experience as possible. There is a folder inside the apartment which has comprehensive useful information & so there was little need to contact the owner during our stay. On the one occasion that I did, she replied very quickly with an answer to my question. When visiting Leiden in the future, if this apartment is available at the time, It will very definitely be our preferred option.

The apartment seems newly renovated and had everything that we needed. Heated floor was very nice as we had cold weather. The location is perfect for exploring Leiden and everything is in walking distance. The host was very attentive and helpful with any thing we asked (had some questions regarding the parking nearby) Only stayed one night but the apartment is fitting for a great stay of a few days or more

Everything! It was exceptionally clean, spacious, beautiful well equipped kitchen. Well decorated. incredible location: everything is about a 5 minute walk, yet you’re in a quiet peaceful location. I’d love living here!

There was construction work nearby, if you like sleeping in you might want to check if that’s finished (it probably will be finished).
