Had a comfortable stay, although not sure about the premier room. Was great for a single night overall, bed felt good especially being away from home. Space to securely store items, including additional lockers on the ground floor. Sharing with 3 other females in one room worked well, as I’m used to this staying at various hostels when abroad. Very helpful staff upon check-in and throughout the following day – spent the departure morning working from the premises until my train was due in the afternoon. Loved the access to hot water! While the tea was chargeable via a vending machine, travelling with my own tea was a godsend. Comfy common room, which as lots of seating available.

While the premier room option was chosen, this didn’t feel anywhere near ‘premier’ upon arrival. For a haring with 3 other females, the room was quite small, and the secure storage couldn’t fit in a small cabin bag (which has not been an issue in any previous hostel). This meant luggage stayed at the side of the bed as they couldn’t be locked away. The bedside plug sockets had no usb points which was a problem trying to charge multiple devices. Additionally, the bathroom felt similar to an aeroplane cabin toilet in size, it was tiny to the point you could hardly get dressed in there without knocking something over. As someone who appreciates quiet space on occasions, there was literally nowhere to get some downtime in order to make a call, read, think, etc. While the common room and conservatory area were a good size & comfortable, the noise levels with people on phones / music etc was a little much at times. Other than that was a comfortable night & excellent location for what I needed. Would apprehensively stay there again if needed.

Les lockers pour déposer nos bagages, le lit d’oublie dans un dortoir avec des petits rideaux, l’accueil chaleureux du personnel… Très chouette auberge pour les petits budgets ! Si nous revenons à Londres, nous reviendrons là-bas.

Interior decoration the lady in charge of breakfast is very nice and helpful

Facilities are not sufficient for the number of people accommodated in the hostel. There was an unruly school group that repeatedly invaded a bathroom outside their sector, making a lot of noise and mess. Toilet bins overflowing with menstruation pads and other garbage. No dry place to put your stuff on in the shower cabins. No potable water anywhere except one machine in the bar. Kitchen too small for the size of the hostel. It looked quite clean but the smell… Personnel at the reception did not seem to do much more than checking people in and out: four sentences for orientation, 1 for goodbye and looking confused when I approached them with a special request. I felt a machine could do the same job. Beds in in female dormitories are suited for kids and not grown ups. I am of an average size for a European and could barely stretch my legs in it. My bed curtains had been sewn too short and too tight, so it was hard to pull them aside, and they didn’t provide complete privacy. I have stayed in many hostels before and seen better than this. On the other hand, the price is really good for London and I felt safe.

Really nothing was missing

I've stayed here a few times even visiting London in recent years. It is one of the better hostels suited to all ages and conveniently located for public transport with the underground station being a short walk away. The bunk beds are reasonably comfortable and have privacy curtains and there are sockets near the beds for charging your phone etc. Bathroom facilities are clean. The breakfast offering is good, you can help yourself to as much or as little as you want.

Awful sagging mattress, could't sleep well. The 12-bed female dorm was super cramped with impractical lockers blocking the little free space. The room was hot after a sunny day: no a/c, just thick winter duvets. Too tiny kitchen with dirty, smelly, unorganized fridges.

Bellissimo ostello che offre anche stanze con bagno privato. Posizione ottima vicina alla metro. Massima organizzazione. Possibilità di mangiare il proprio cibo presso il bar dove viene anche ospitata la colazione.

Migliorabile la colazione in termini di varietà dei prodotti. Nella stanza privata mancava un appoggio in più per le valigie.

This was my second time staying at this property. It's great value for money in a really accessible area of London. We shared the room with friends and slept very well. It's an interesting building with a nice vibe and friendly staff.

Clean bathrooms and toilets, decent breakfast. My room was good .

Some rooms were so small and smelly you can end up in them too. Staff was a bit cold

Everything was great for the price. Very close to the tube station, a tesco and many fast food places which was very convenient. Staff was so helpful and the girlies at the bar were great.

Not the hostel's fault but it was weird seeing that many old people staying at a hostel. I expected to meet friends but the vibes were weird. Also, again, not the hostel's fault, but since there were many backpackers our room wasn't the best smelling one and people were very noisy and messy.

A man entered the women-only shower and restroom area, claiming that he was lost. However, I found his explanation inconsistent and did not believe that he had entered by accident. I immediately reported the incident to the front desk and was told that management would look into the matter in the morning. I hope this incident will be taken seriously and that appropriate action will be taken to prevent him from using your facilities in the future.

Very clean overall, including toilets and showers. Staff is super friendly and there’s ample shared spaces to sit around and socialise or relax.

Kitchen is very small for the amount of people staying in. Beds are wooden made, so they are a bit noisy whenever someone moves.

It felt very cozy and the breakfast was good value! The area was really nice and it is very close to both the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines; there are also lime bikes not too far away. Around the corner are convenient shops and restaurants so a really fantastic location.

The beds themselves weren't very comfortable but the enclosed space and privacy made it feel cozier so it wasn't that bad. There was one night where the keycard scanner didn't work and we had to wait a little bit for it to be repaired.

Staff were excellent - even with a late check-in there was someone there to help and provide assistance.

Everyone was welcome as this hostel is open to everyone. There is a bar next to the dormitories but we didn’t hear the noise in the room.

It was very warm in the basement room even though outside it wasn’t that warm anymore. We were surprised to get a basement room. We had a lamp outside that was very bright and thus it was never dark in the room. The kitchen is a joke and no proper space to eat with tables and chairs available to everyone felt a bit humiliating for people that had to eat on the corridor. I would prefer that the tv lounge is more of a common space. Also use the area outside better by providing more seats and tables to chill! All in all, we paid a premium price of a room for a hostel experience. We had moths in the room.

C’est un hostel très bien située, à proximité de plusieurs lignes de bus. Elle est très propre et tout le personnel est souriant, accueillant et sympathique. Le buffet est spacieux et agréable, avec un espace extérieur très propre et bien entretenu. Il y a également un grand salon convivial et confortable. Les lits sont modernes et bien conçus, et les toilettes ainsi que les douches sont propres. La cuisine est petite, mais elle est pratique et bien équipée pour cuisiner. Elle dispose de deux grands réfrigérateurs, d’un micro-ondes, de deux fours et de plusieurs étagères où les clients peuvent conserver leur nourriture. Dans l’ensemble, c’est un hostel très agréable, propre et bien organisé. J’ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour.

It wasn't crowded in the dormitory ànd close to transport and food outlets

Cooking facilities were very small for such a large place and my bunk could have had a curtain at the head of the bed to avoid light coming in at night from the bunk above me when the occupant used a computer and it reflected like strobe lighting. I hung a towel up to make it dark.

Great location in the heart of NW London. There's lots nearby to explore from all directions. The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned well. You can use the washing machine to wash your clothes for only four pounds, and a bit to dry too (bring your own detergent). The building and interior itself is charming.

If you're going to cook / prepare your own meals regularly, I don't recommend staying here, as the kitchen is tiny and closed during the lunchtime block, and there isn't a peaceful place to eat your food because the only seating is in and by the bar. There isn't much seating / relaxing areas in general - there's a lounge but it's often busy in there. The hostel attracts lots of different types of people - it's not only youth or travellers, but people in transition / homeless / workers - nothing wrong with this, but be aware that you'll be around a variety of people.

Struttura bellissima, posizione un po' decentrata, ma vicina alla metro e alla stazione degli autobus (c'è il national express per l'aeroporto). Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

So che questa è stata un'estate particolarmente afosa, ma suggerirei di attrezzarsi meglio nelle camere, perché faceva veramente molto caldo. Poco posto nei bagni per appoggiare le proprie cose.

This was my first time staying in a hostel and as a woman I admit I was a bit scared however I had an amazing stay! I picked the women-only room with the ensuite bathroom and I think the extra money was absolutely worth it! It was nice not having to share a bathroom with a big amount of people and although we only had two toilets and two showers, I never had to wait to use them. Everyone is on their own schedule so its never super crowded in there. Breakfast was small in selection but it was tasty and for the price totally worth it! Keep in mind that the rooms are cleaned by both men and women, however the men always knocked multiple times to announce that they are coming inside the room and same for the bathroom. The staff in general were very helpful and friendly and always made me feel welcome and safe. They always ask you if you are okay which is very sweet of them.The location is great if you are going for a concert, like I was, since you can take one subway train to the O2 or Wembley.

The rooms can get VERY hot. I had brought a small rechargable desk fan with me which helped tremendously. There was a big fan running all day and night in the middle of the room however it only reached about 4 out of 12 beds in the room. I had a bottom bed too which can make it even more stuffy so I eneded up sleeping with my bed curtains open almost every night. they Definitely need more fans and ideally an AC unit. The bathrooms, at least the one we had, have no windows so it can also get very hot in there if someone has recebtly taken a shower but you can always use the mirrors outside to get ready and not be swearting at the same time.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Der Gemeinschaftsraum war richtig cool. Es ist ein sehr soziales Hostel, bei dem es jeden Abend ein Programm gibt.

Amazing aesthetic. The space is gorgeous, and if you've never been to the UK, this environment truly makes you feel way more immersed than any other space would. I would recommend it for that alone. The common area is gorgeous, and you slightly feel like you're in a boarding school of some sort. Also, there's a Japanese restaurant very close by with amazing katsu curry; I ate it about 3-4 times during my stay because it was just that good. Highly recommend it.

The tiniest kitchen in the world. Only two stovetops, and one was broken. People could barely fit in the kitchen, and things often got lost or damaged in the fridge. They even lock the kitchen after 11:30, so you can't eat or access your food then. I ended up eating out almost all the time (which raised the cost of the trip). Also, the bathrooms were quite frustrating, especially the showers, which would frequently go from hot to cold even though I wasn't touching the handles. It was okay because it was summertime, but in the winter I imagine it must be torture.

Pierwszy pokój, który otrzymałam okazał się być sauną, w której nie dało się spać. Na szczęście, dzięki super obsłudze , bez problemu udało się zmienić na inny pokój, w którym było już znacznie chłodniej. Wszystkie łóżka wygodne, z czystą pościelą, z zasłonkami dającymi prywatność. Przy każdym łóżku kontakty z USB oraz lampka. Dużo łazienek i prysznicy w całym budynku, nigdy nie musiałam czekać w kolejce. Jest nawet kilka toaletek i suszarek do dyspozycji. Przyjemny mały bar hostelowy z fajną obsługą i wieczorkami tematycznymi (np. karaoke). Łazienki czyste, hostelowe śniadania wyglądały na dobre, chociaż nie zdecydowałam się skorzystać. Cały budynek to stary dworek, niesamowita atmosfera.

Niestety w ciepłe dni w niektórych pokojach jest bardzo gorąco, chociaż obsługa robi co może i wstawia duże wentylatory. Mała i wąska kuchnia, więcej niż dwie osoby na raz się nie mieściły. Brakowało też niektórych przyborów kuchennych, przede wszystkim ostrych noży. Jest kuchenka, piekarnik, mikrofalówka i dwie duże lodówki do dyspozycji, jednak w tak małej przestrzeni trudno było przygotować sobie posiłek.

La ubicación es excelente, a 10-15 min en bus de Candem Town, menos de 10 minutos caminando de la jubilee line y me quedó súper bien para la noche que estuve después de un concierto en el Wembley. El desayuno es continental y estuvo buenísimo, no tuve hambre hasta ya pasadas las 4 o 5 de la tarde. El personal tanto en restaurante como en recepción súper amable. Reservé con 2 semanas de anticipación, quizá hubiera encontrado un mejor precio para una habitación compartida de 8 mujeres, pero bastante seguro los cajones para dejar tus cosas (recomendable llevar candado).

Los baños llegan a ser muy concurridos tanto en la noche como en la mañana, pero fuera de eso, bastante limpios y las duchas espaciosas, privadas y con agua caliente.

It's very well organised and generally cleaned regularly. The staff are great to stay on top of it. Parking area £10 per night & street parking nearby

Los espacios son muy muy reducidos, pero MUY. La cocina es MINI, tiene una sola ventana que ni se abre, lo cual lo hace terriblemente incómodo para un hostel tan grande. Es IMPOSIBLE cocinar. La heladera está explotada, no hay ningún elemento para etiquetar la comida, pusimos unas botellas de agua para aunque sea tener agua fresca, y como no hay con que etiquetar, nos las robaron. Sumado a eso, pareciera que el lugar no tiene ventanas, no circula el aire, te sentis como ahogado todo el tiempo. En las habitaciones el ambiente es espeso, no se puede ni respirar, pleno verano y no tiene ni siquiera un ventilador, es un infierno. Los espacios de guardado están debajo de las camas, lo cual lo vuelve muy poco práctico si (como a nosotros) les toca alguien que deja todo al costado de la cama, ya que no es posible abrir los cajones. Y como plus a todo eso, las chinches de cama ME MATARON, parece que falta higiene. Estuvimos dos noches y no pudimos ni dormir, fue una muy mala experiencia. no volvería ni lo recomendaría. Es una lástima, tiene potencial pero necesitan cambiar un montón de cosas

The place has everything you would need - clean showers, clean toilets, clean rooms. The staff is friendly, the location is superb (super easy to reach the metro / drive around from the property).

As you're sharing the room, some nights might be harder than others. It's only about you and your luck!

The staff were helpful and friendly as were the other residents that I interacted with. The facilities were good and well cleaned and the bed was comfortable. My main issues are the that the kitchen for self catering was way too small and the whole set up was not disability friendly, which is a huge shame for disabled people as it is such a lovely place to stay.

I had a really good stay at Palmers Lodge. The hostel has a great atmosphere, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is very convenient for getting around London. The place is clean and comfortable, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the common areas. It’s also a great place to meet other travellers. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and would definitely recommend Palmers Lodge to anyone looking for a nice and affordable place to stay in London. I’m planning to come back very soon! 🇬🇧

Really great space with lots of history to the building which is carried throughout. The team here were great and super helpful. The only issue that I had was that the rooms were SUPER hot and there needs to be an investment in air-conditioning to help maintain the temperatures. I know that the team tried here with a fan but it wasn't enough to cool the temperature when there are up ti 24 people in one room.

Unfortunately I stayed during the heatwave and the room was incredibly hot overnight, I didn't sleep very well. I don't blame the hostel for the heatwave obviously! but some air con or more effective fans might be worth looking into.

Eigentlich eine tolles altes Haus und eine gute Idee, das für junge Reisende zur Verfügung zu stellen. Kontinentales Frühstück ist in Ordnung.

Zu heiß in der 2. Etage, mehrfach nach Ventilator gefragt, wurde immer wieder vergessen, offenbar gibt es nicht genug Ventilatoren, um alle Zimmer zu versorgen. Es war zu warm im Zimmer, um schlafen zu können, Lüften war nur bedingt möglich, weil Fenster sich nur halb öffnen lässt. Sehr laut durch die beiden stark befahrenen Straßen vor dem Fenster und die Menschen im Hof, die sich nachts unterhielten. Doppelbett mit 135cm sehr eng für 2 Erwachsene, 3. Bett unfassbar unbequem und hart, Zimmer nicht verdunkelbar. Wahnsinnig teuer, Preis-Leistung stimmt hier einfach überhaupt nicht. Sind vor lauter Müdigkeit einen Tag früher abgereist und haben ein klimatisiertes, ruhiges Zimmer im Stadtzentrum für den gleichen Preis bekommen.

I had a really lovely stay at this hostel. The location was perfect for me, very convenient and close to everything I needed. The bathroom was very close to my room, everything was clean, and I felt safe throughout my stay. I especially appreciated how easy it was to get to the Freud Museum, which was actually the main reason for my visit. Overall, it was a really nice experience and I would definitely recommend this hostel!
