Great service.

Very comfortable beds, lovely room. Fantastic food in restaurant.

The lift was great to assist us in taking all our luggage up the room on the second floor.

Really comfortable stay - well worth upgrading to superior suite as it was spacious, had the extra touches like a coffee machine, as well as a kettle, and quality coffee bags and a selection of other quality drinks and biscuits. Although the furniture was a little dated, it had character, the bed was huge and comfortable and the bathroom was modern and also spacious. Food in the restaurant was delicious!

The Duty manager Chris if i can remember the name was really helpful and hard working.

The staff was incredibly nice. it was visible as you walk out of the rail station. there's a Tesco and plenty of shops and restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk

it was a bit noisy at night. the noise would eventually settle down, but typically not til around midnight.

The property was very good. Neat and spacious.

It’s may be just my room. The top of the curtains and besides light had visible dust covering. Other than that everything was good

Very clean , room was nice and had everything you need , we stayed for one night, Sunday roast was excellent and breakfast was very good too.

Breakfast omelettes were good value for money .

The Hotel could do with Air conditioning but it’s the UK and most of the time this probably wouldn’t be an issue .

We booked an executive room, but it was an attic room. There were no phone points, no fridge, no slippers, or housecoat, and like all attics, it was so hot room was lovely but in an attic no, and it did not have the extras that executive rooms have .

Hotel rooms, bar,dining and location all very good. Check in and out all done remotely so very easy. Plus free parking just over the road, remember to get ticket.from Hotel or print out.

Only slight "glitch" but very picky was that breakfast was not included through booking.com, but is if book direct with hotel My mistake in not spotting that.

The staff were very rude. Every person we spoke to made us feel like we were a burden from the minute we checked in to when we had breakfast on the last day.

Really nice surprise to find such a lovely hotel in this location. Wonderful friendly staff providing top class service with no fuss. Spacious comfortable room very clean and had all we needed, bathroom too. Excellent bar serving 8 real ales and delicious food. Table service was efficient and helped us to relax and enjoy ourselves. Great location with car park opposite.

Very disappointing stay. The carpets were extremely old, dirty, and full of dust, making the rooms feel unhygienic. There was no air conditioning or even a fan, and the rooms had a very unpleasant smell throughout our stay. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. After this, I'm seriously reconsidering using Booking.com, as the quality of this property was completely unacceptable.

Sadly there is no A/C in my room which did make for a difficult nights sleep due to the extreme temperature in the room on probably one of the hottest days we’ve had for years…. But wouldn’t stop me booking this accommodation on cooler days.

We stayed for #DaveDay 2026. The hotel was very busy, but we received a warm welcome. Our room was fabulous - top floor in the annexe, with very welcome AC, blackout blinds, comfy chairs & bed. The food was great, too. Thoroughly recommend.

As soon as I walked in the staff were so friendly. Dropped my bags off because I was to early to check in and it was no trouble. The room was lovely and clean, went down for a meal outstanding service and quality. I had to get a early train, the station is just across the road.

Good receptionist, had to come out the hotel to make me understand where I could park my car at reservation.

It was ok. A little bit past its best, but fine for a bed for the night.
