Edinburgh House Hotel

It was such a good price compared to others in the city. We just wanted somewhere to stay for the night without paying extortionate amounts. The room was very clean, comfortable and lots of hot water - everything we needed. Location wise was perfect as it was very close to a tram stop. We will definitely be back.

I liked the house, it had character, location was excellent with sainsburys and public transport nearby. Before going I read the mixed reviews so I was prepared but I was okay satisfied. Room was clean enough, definitely a bit run down but bathroom was modern and had a rainfall shower head as well. Room had a big TV and free coffee and tea as well. The garden patio was cute.

Our room was located nearby entrance and walls were paper thin, we could hear eveything going in the staff room next to us and in the corridor. Also the room did not have do not disturb signs available and housekeeping kept coming in in the morning despite us answering the knocking and saying it was not needed. They were friendly though. I just found it a bit odd. I could book again but definitely would bring in earplugs. If you are looking for top notch, this is definitely not it but if you are looking for reasonably priced acommodation in handy location, this works.

Location is good, the room was clean, towels changed every day, all perfect. We've had a lovely 4-day stay. 😊

Nos tocó una habitación cuádruple reservando la doble, supongo se le acabarían. El baño era grande, la habitación también muy espaciosa, techos altos, todo moqueta, muchos enchufes, televisión grande, todo bien.

Tardaba en funcionar la calefacción y está un poco lejos del centro pero si te gusta andar no hay problema.

Experiencia inolvidable. Recomendable para conocer más y mejor la ciudad hacer algún Free Tour.

Por comentar algo.En el hotel , no esperábamos el ruido de tanto coche por la calle. Por lo demás bien

I like the old style with the carpets and decor. Along with supremely friendly and welcoming staff that made the place feel like home.

There were a number of aesthetic things which were a little sloppy but overall didn’t affect the comfort of the stay.

We needed something last minute and this place had a good location for what we needed.

Stayed only one night so no issues.

A proximité du tramway (station Balfour street environ 5min à pieds) face à un parc dans une rue calme. A 15/20 min à pieds des centres d’intérêts.

Chambre au dernier étage, petite, n’offrant pas les prestations attendues pour ce prix. La porte de la chambre en bois, ne couvrant pas la totalité de l’encadrement: laisse passer la lumière du couloir et permettant de deviner les gens qui passent devant. Très mauvaise isolation phonique.

We really loved our stay, it was clean, comfortable, close to old town center, stuff was very friendly, our parking was free because of the weekend. Highly recommended 👌

The way they are taking the 100£ deposite while we are in check in thats really shit Which i really dont like Anyway they gonna refund within 3-5 days thats so weird and i dont like Please improve this first.

Nos gustó que esta en barrio tranquilo , hay paradas de bus cerquita, lavandería , tiendas . Está a unos 30 minutos del centro .

Estábamos al lado de recepción y se oía cuando los clientes llegaban y se iban. Se oía hablar continuamente por teléfono al recepcionista y eso hacía que no pudiéramos descansar. Pareces muy finas que se oía todo de las otras habitaciones. Habitación parecida a un zulo , la ventaja era muy alta.

El hotel está bien, un poco lejos del centro (unos 20 min andando) pero hay transporte justo al lado. No hubo apenas ruido, estaba limpio, la cama era cómoda, pudimos dejar el equipaje después del checkout sin coste y en general está bastante bien.

There must have been either some stairs right above our room or a really noisy neighbour. At 1am loud step noises woke us up. The internet extender wall plugs are basically worthless. Everybody knows this except them.

L’état des parties communes est vieillissant et manque d’entretien. L’établissement à son ensemble est vieillissant, il mériterait un bon rafraîchissement.

La verdad es que cuando entramos a la habitación la impresión no fue muy agradable, especialmente porque parecía que las camas iban a ser más antiguas e incómodas de lo que terminaron siendo. Además, el baño tenía mucho mejor aspecto.

La actitud de los trabajadores es un poco fría o indiferente, pero no descortés. Además, en la habitación hacía un calor terrible y la única ventana apenas conseguía ventilar el calor de la habitación. Aviso sobre el equipaje: puedes dejar tus maletas antes del check-in en una habitación que tienen en la recepción. No le ponen etiqueta ni nada similar así que lo dejas prácticamente bajo tu responsabilidad. Igualmente nosotros lo dejamos allí

Si vous ne trouvez rien d'autre. De manière générale, le niveau de l'hôtellerie a beaucoup baissé et les prix atteignent des sommets. Comme sur l'île de Skye. Trop de tourisme, si vous pouvez, évitez de rester à edimbourg pour la nuit. Ou si vous avez les moyens, prenez les établissements les plus côtés et donc les plus chers.

Bruyant et vieillot, l'accueil est minimaliste pour ne pas dire mauvais.

Sono caduta e ho chiesto del ghiaccio, mi è stato risposto che non lo hanno. Avere un kit di primo soccorso con relativo ghiaccio istantaneo è obbligatorio. Un'altra cosa assurda è che c'erano tre rampe di scale di cui una stretta e ripida, non segnalato in fase di prenotazione. Poi il bagno piccolissimo con il minimo indispensabile (ma anche meno). Non me lo aspettavo da un tre stelle.

El lugar era mágico, con una vista preciosa, excelente ubicación y muy buen precio. Si bien la habitación era pequeña, resultaba muy acogedora y tenía todo lo necesario. Lo recomiendo!

El chico de recepción nos indicó que podíamos guardar las maletas sin costo. Sin embargo, algunas trabajadoras del hotel demostraron muy poca disposición para ayudarnos: tocábamos la puerta y parecía que evitaban atendernos. Ese detalle podría mejorar bastante, ya que contrastó con la buena experiencia general que tuvimos. Todo esto en el ámbito de querer guardar las maletas y bolsos.

It’s in a great location. We chose to walk to the city centre, and it’s not far at all. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Chambre minuscule et franchement peu agréable, avec une décoration triste et vieillotte. les volets ferment mal, Les cloisons sont extrêmement fines : nous entendions distinctement les conversations des voisins. Le lit était également beaucoup trop petit . Bref, une expérience décevante. C’est d’autant plus dommage que l’hôtel a un réel potentiel, mais l’ensemble est aujourd’hui très défraîchi et aurait sérieusement besoin d’une rénovation. d'ailleurs je me suis permis de relooker la chambre mini qu'on a eut!

Parcheggio inesistente, la strada richiede un permesso per parcheggiare e non è previsto dall'hotel stesso. Consiglio di cercare qualche parcheggio al coperto in città

The entire staff, especially the gentlemen at the front desk, and the women who maintain and clean the rooms, went above and beyond to make my stay feel comfortable and special. They constantly checked in to see if I needed anything, and the case was usually that I wanted more coffee, which they provided an abundance. They were also friendly and gracious, and the room was so peaceful. I already miss being there.

Look the decor maybe dated but the hotel was clean and comfortable. It's about mile walk into the city centre so it was ok location wise.

When you first arrive it looks dated and lacking a bit of love.. Also there are no facilities for breakfast meaning we had to go out in Leigh centre and at 8am there was very little open

The staff in the reception was very rude. He was asking unwanted questions and treated us very badly. Also we got a room which was different from the one we booked. We booked a room with a double bed and we got a room with a double bed and single bed and the room was very congested. But the staff's behavior was the first thing. He was very rude.

From the outside it looked like a nice place to be. Transport links were good. TV and tea making facilities in the room. (Although don't know if they worked as didn't use them). Small attractive garden with seating.

Reception was what seemed like a cupboard with gap to speak through, not very inviting. The room we were given was dark, dingy, smelly and not at all what was indicated in the pictures online. There was hardly room to get round either side of the bed. Very little natural light coming into the room and due to there being a board at the window we couldn't get any fresh air into the room. The hotel and room did not feel inviting, welcoming or professional in any way, we wanted to leave as soon as possible. This was a complete waste of money and there is not one part of it that I could recommend to anyone. Save your money and book something more expensive so you don't need to pay for a second place to stay!!
