The room we were assigned was nothing like the pictures on booking.com. They overcharged and wouldn’t reconcile. Math challenged. They blamed it on the exchange rate ($30 iUS overcharged). There was a municipal water contamination issue and they didn’t offer replacement water. Noisy.

Very clean quiet space, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Bikes available for borrow was a great touch!

The tiny home was perfect and had everything you could need! Appreciate that it had coffee, salt and pepper, cookware (which we didn’t use), a good sized fridge, etc. Also appreciated that there were hooks everywhere to hang your stuff (key for a small space). Comfy bed The room came with a dog bed, bowl, and treats, which was a nice touch. Location was great, 10-15 min walk to downtown. Close to a grocery store.

The staff were really helpful and kind. The mattress was so comfy. I struggle with insomnia and joint problems, so I need a good mattress. My sleep was incredible here. I always use ear plugs so don't get woken up by noise often. My dog really liked the bed they gave him too.

Staff were very helpful and nice. Room is roomy and suited our needs with good parking access, but also walkable to restaurants.

Some road traffic noise (depends how sensitive you are to such). Hot tub jets were not working.

Very thoughtful. They supplied extra blanket, dishes and washing supplies. Pet friendly and it was possible to walk to the lake near train tracks.

Train noise. However, ear plugs were nicely provided.

Great location conventionally close to downtown. Comfortable and clean- we have stayed here multiple times in Fernie now and will be back!

The rooms are nice, liked the decor/overall vibe. The beds were comfortable. Good location, just off the main thoroughfare. Staff were friendly/helpful.

We were initially put in a second floor room, which was up a long sort of sketchy flight of stairs, all covered in snow, with an icy patch at the base of the stairs. I slipped and fell on it, landing on my side/hip and was quite sore for the following week. We were eventually able to move to a lower floor room, but the walking paths need to be cleared/salted better. We attempted to maybe even switch to one of the tiny homes, but the bed situation isn't ideal.

Very clean. Loved the bathtub and lighting in the washroom.

The staff were very helpful. The Fernie Shuttle stops right outside, making it easy to get to the ski hill without driving. The hot tub was nice and hot.

The location was good and the staff was friendly.

The mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable, and the room wasn’t that clean (a fork and a towel were left from the previous guests).

Great location we had a car but walkable to town and there was a shuttle bus stop outside hotel.The staff Rachel and Gabby were so accomodating Stayed in two bedroom suite cosy but a little dated however very comfortable. The suite was clean and the house keeping service while staying was excellent. The hot tub was nice after the day on the ski slopes.

Property is on main road there is a bit of traffic noise at night especially the snow clearing equipment.

Easy Check in, Comfy updated rooms. Could have booked hot-tub but didn't have time.

Long list of rules/requirements at check in, felt un-flexible and less welcoming than it should have.

Beautiful, new room with very local decor. The location was great, the dog friendly room had even doggy theme. This was one of the best places to stay with your pet. Comes with bed, water bowl, treats .. everlasting your furry friend wish for.

Great place to stay to explore the lovely town of Fernie. Conveniently located with food options very close and walkable to downtown. Great mountain views with comfortable beds and clean all over which is great. There is a board of recommendations inside also which is amazing, some great meals and really fitting so give that a look when you’re here!

I loved how friendly the staff was, the lady at the check in counter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the questions I was asking in regards to amenities in the area. I love that you can book a private hot tub session, and we liked the proximity to the highway access. They even have free bikes to use !

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

A little disappointed in the $35 a night charge for my one dog. I have never had such a high fee. On average the fee has been between $15 and $25. So fair warning to others, call in and get a lower fee or pick another Hotel/ Motel. Lots to cheese from in Fernie

Great place but we miss the dog beds

We really enjoyed our two nights at Snow Valley Lodging. We travelled with our dog and were pleasantly surprised at the warm welcome we received and all the little treats and touches to make our stay so comfortable and friendly. Staff are friendly, rooms are comfortable and quiet (albeit a bit cozy), and sitting out on the sunny front porch with a drink at the end of the day was so relaxing. We will definitely plan to stay here again!

The facility is old but was clean. We stayed on the main floor and it has alot of creaks in thr floors. Quite noisy from the floor above with lots of creaks from that floor. For the age of the building it wa in ok condition as far as cleanliness. I felt the price charged was a little high, but given the area and nothing else available we had no choice.

Good area, but very noisy. Ac was through the window, so you could hear constant traffic all night as your right on the main highway. Creaky floorboards. Nice clean kitchen and suite. Just very noisy and could hear every footstep above us!! Good check in experience, staff was very nice

Feels like an outdated run down motel. This place is from previous century and charging more than 4 star hotels do.

Excellent value. Property very well looked after, and tastefully renovated, flower planters outside. Very good service. Quiet despite being close to road for easy access.

Great family room

Wonderful location close to many trails and pet friendly restaurants. The cabin was clean and had all the dogs necessities including a welcome basket. Would absolutely stay here again! The hot tub is a bonus!

We enjoyed the tiny house concept, and found everything we needed for a great stay! The laundry facilities were a great bonus. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It was great to be able to borrow a bike. Coming from Red Tree, who were full our last 2 nights, we missed facilities to make breakfast. Eg plaates, bowls cuttlery, toaster. A nuisance to have to go out. Would return to Red Tree in preference.

Tiny home was as expected from pictures. Clean and a convenient location. The amenities did not work - we booked the firepit area and the firepit would not work. Staff did not know how to fix it. Bedroom tv didn’t work with the remote, but after an hour the staff delivered a different remote. Overall, we spent 2.5 hours trying to enjoy the amenities we booked the room for. It was supposed to be a relaxing Mom/daughter evening with smores and a movie - both of which we didn’t get to do. Disappointing and no discount was offered. Night staff had limited english which was a bit of a struggle as they couldn’t understand the issues. They were nice enough though and tried to figure it out.

I really appreciated a parking spot reserved just for us right in front of our door to accommodate my Mom who uses a walker. The toilet is so low, you're practically sitting on the floor!

We were looking forward to having a fire at night and the firepit wasn’t working. Also, we were in unit 3 and the floor in the bathroom was very soft - indicating some rot - we didn’t let that change our thoughts about our stay - just letting you know to maybe check it out. This was our first stay in a tiny home and we loved it!
