Lovely spot off the M42 lovely staff. Very nice dinner drinks very reasonably priced and a fab breakfast. Lovely clean room.
Nothing
The breakfast was very nice 👌
The noise really early from the people in the corridor around our room. They woke us up about 5am being really loud laughing and talking. Obviously they must have been going to the airport for an early flight but they had no consideration for other guests unfortunately
Very clean. Tranquillity overall. I always book here when I’m travelling for work. Staff are friendly. Car park is on site and very safe. Good prices on food and drinks.
Toiletries should be checked always as they were empty on an ocassion. I had to ring reception whilst in the shower.
Everything, really. No complaints.
Nothing wrong with it.
Nice and clean good location comfortable beds
Nothin
Free parking, good location. Easy check in
Room smelt of cabbage weirdly and was very hot upon arrival. Had to open the windows for two hours to cool it down.
Very friendly staff
Old fashioned and tired
Lovely location! Spotless and scenic, staff were very friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend!

Staff were really good, though there was a wedding on and we didnt get to use the whole venue, the staff were honest and committed to ensuring that we didn't have to wait around too long for anything.
Drinks were a bit pricey, but I understand the costs of running a business.
The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good
There was a terrible smell of drains in Room 12. It was coming up from the sink - plumbing was not right. The sink must have discharged into the soil stack with no trap to stop the smell The stairs outside the room were steep and narrow but worse, had not been vacuumed for ages. Full of fluff and grit. There were vertical blinds which did not cut out the light from outside. There was a light which went on every time someone below went into the hotel front door and fairy lights on until very late/all night.
Great location, off the motorway but can't hear it.
It is need of a clean, visible cobwebs. Cutlery for breakfast was not washed properly. Glasses at the bar again not cleaned properly There was a lot of litter in the car park too. Generally would be a ton better if they gave it a lick of paint and a deep clean
Good location
Excellent location, very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location Rural Setting. Excellent room away from the event. Walk in Shower and easy parking in the grounds Nice Restuarant simple menu.
The rural location
Upon checking in and entering our room, we were immediately met with a strong smell of damp. We were also disappointed to discover that our room was situated directly next to a wedding reception, something the hotel had not informed us about in advance. Although we had paid extra for what we believed would be a larger room, we found it to be very small and not as expected. The bathroom was in a poor condition, with significant damp around the shower. Every time the shower was used, it leaked across the bathroom floor. I have both photographs and video evidence of these issues. The room was also unbearably hot, making it impossible to sleep comfortably without opening the window. However, because of our room's location next to the wedding reception, we were kept awake by loud music late into the evening. Having to leave the window open also made us feel uneasy when trying to sleep. We raised these concerns with hotel staff during our stay, but unfortunately our complaints did not appear to be taken seriously, and no satisfactory solution was offered. As someone who suffers from asthma, the combination of the damp conditions and excessive heat in the room significantly affected my breathing. Since returning home, I have developed a chest infection and have been prescribed a course of antibiotics. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with our stay. Given the condition of the room, the disruption caused by the nearby event, and the lack of action taken after our concerns were raised, we do not feel that the standard of accommodation reflected the price we paid.
The breakfast was well cooked and we enjoyed it
It was noisy as there was a wedding on the same day which had a big noisy people enjoying themselves. They were happy which is fine
Room was clean but not serviced. Staff were friendly.
Room was right next to bin and delivery area so each night we were woken at 1 .30 or 3.30 by staff dragging bins outside our room. It was also right behind the kitchen so we had noise from that, and directly below a family room and had constant noise from that.
Clean and staff very friendly.
Great location for our family
Everything comfortable
Nice area, although their grounds looked a little tired. Free car parking. Good size room, good size wardrobe.
Not enough staff. Overpriced bar, with "cocktails" out of cans. Mediocre food. Overpriced breakfast. No residents bar after midnight. No cooling facilities in the rooms, appreciate it's an older building, so Aircon may not be possible but no fans, really? Towels were on the small side.
The room was adequate, the breakfast adequate. The wedding breakfast meal was very good.
The room was an access room, with a wet room bathroom. The sink was too low for an able-bodied tall person, and there was no plug for the sink. The shower floor was potentially slippy, which we were warned about, and so didn’t use that facility. The flooring should have been non-slip and so we didn’t risk using the shower. The breakfast did not provide an adequate way to make tea. The hot water was in a flask and the tea bags were separate. The water would not have been boiling, and so would not have been suitable to make a proper cup of tea. Also, to be charged £20 for early access to the room seemed excessive, especially as the hotel is a wedding venue and we were asked to be ready to join the festivities for 12:00 noon. Some of us travelled a long way to attend the wedding and needed to freshen up before we joined the party. A more sympathetic approach would have been appreciated.
Just a really good place to stay. Room was fine and very clean.
Means we were in a heat wave would have been helpful if you could have choice for a fan.
Lovely place.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel to find it set in lovely countryside, yet not far from M42! The grounds and property are well kept, but the thing that made it most enjoyable was the staff - they are so helpful, friendly, polite. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We stayed during the heatwave and I asked them to keep the blinds and curtains shut before we got there, which they did. Our room wasn't far from where we parked and was nice and spacious with a comfy bed. There was even a little fridge in the room which was very welcome. The food was great. Overall, good value for money. We will definitely go back there, and would recommend to anyone to give it a try.
Only couple of things that could be improved - no fan supplied in room or the restaurant (luckily we took our own, otherwise it would have been uncomfortable) and they could do with a socket at the side of the bed, although there were other plugs sockets in the room
Great location, just off the motorway but no noise. Large car park. Attractive front garden with benches, pond and fountain. Staff very helpful and friendly.
The food was excellent and I was surprised by how affordable it was
The stairs hadnt been hoovered in a long time. The windows were absolutey filthy ! The general cleanliness was lower than my standard. There was a wedding on and it took far to long to get served at the bar !!
Very nice convient hotel for our over night stop
Nothing
Didn’t have breakfast!
More staff during a wedding event!
Nothing
Swappes rooms as 1st one was disabled and wasnt nothing like the pictures. Second room was tiny with silver fish in the shower tray. U advertised a nice relaxing peaceful stay but there was a prom on and kids outside our window with a disco going on so noisy we couldnt eat there no peace horrible stay never ever will i go back there it was like a cheaper gersion of a premier inn with hilton price.
Nice vibe when we heard music as we arrived at this large country house hotel. The staff that checked us in were very pleasant. Room was comfortable just as in the pictures.
Unfortunately on that night the outside music wasn’t turned off until very late - it made getting to sleep difficult. Room 4 happened to have the route to their beer store. Having been awake late due to the music, being woken up at 8:15 with barrels being noisily wheeled past and the staff doing this having no concern for the customers in that room was very annoying. Then almost immediately someone was out cutting the grass - at 8:30 - check out isn’t until 10:00. The wooden door to beer corridor was left open, so our door opened on to the mess at the start of this corridor. Final I was not impressed with the owner of the hotel taking his frustration out on us at a car parked in the wrong place - nothing to do with us at all.
location , staff and value for money
no air con we were so uncomfortable and had no sleep
Food was amazing and the staff were very helpful.
Fans to be a standard item in the rooms as it was very hot and also the side of the fridge was rather dirty and also the leg was broken on the stool / think a chair would have been better as a working stationX
Room fine - food in restaurant excellent
The staff where all very friendly and accommodating.
It would have been nice if the hotel had let us know they were holding a school prom the night we were staying and therefore there was no chance of any sleep before midnight before we arrived at the property! The room was very tired, the blinds (a little of which remain in one piece) do not work and do not block out the light from the external motion triggered floodlight not helping with attempt to get some sleep. The bathroom smelt very musty despite us opening the window when we arrived
Nice grounds. Well presented. Friendly hotel staff. A busy night, but they were still polite.
Room at the top, only skylights (they did open, but the room felt claustrophobic). Very hot. The hot weather was not the hotel's fault. A fan was found once I requested one, or I would want a different room. Although the staff were friendly, the attitude of the men directing the cars left a lot to be desired.
Our bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and well decorated. All the staff we spoke to were without exception, friendly, professional and courteous. A wide choice on the dinner menu with reasonably priced main courses.
Our room was let down by ill fitting and broken blinds. An easy and cheap fix is all that is needed. The continental breakfast was ok but lacked imagination. A few pastries, better range of jams/honey/marmalade, nicer bread and plain yoghurt would transform the offering. Not everyone wants or needs a cooked breakfast.
Great location
All ok
Location, price and reception team
First room allocated smelt of cigarette smoke however we were efficiently and quickly moved
Clean, good food and great staff
Pillows were poor in the room and WiFi was patchy
Lovely surroundings, very quiet. Room was good value for money
It was really nice, there was nothing I didn’t like
The hotel was nice, good location and the staff were helpful. The evening meal was just ok and the breakfast was decent, Shower was nice. I would stay again if I was in the area.
The wi-fi was terrible. I logged on to the guest wi-fi as instructed, it was unsecured and the connection was so bad that I could not use the internet at all.
Relaxed atmosphere
Rustige ligging maar toch vlakbij de snelweg. Veel parkeergelegenheid wat prettig is na een dag rijden.
Smal bed.
The location was beautiful. The grounds to walk on where amazing. its a lovely and peaceful place The staff where amazing throughout and very helpful especially one of the cleaners in the morning who was a good laugh and even filled up our water bottles for the day.
My only tiny little problem was trying to get a drink There was an 18th birthday party which seemed to last very late into the night But going to the bar was huge problem. been a guest it would have been nice to have a beer without fighting your way through a bunched of screaming young adults. Maybe a separate bar for events or close the bar completely during functions so other customers would be aware to go else where that night for a beer.
We use this hotel as a work stopover, the rooms are great, the staff are friendly and very proffessional. For example The venue is often used as a wedding venue over the weekend. The staff knowing you are not part of the wedding will locate your room away from the party goers. We travel for work at weekends and have always stayed here while a wedding is taking place and have never noticed. They always have security monitoring the hotel so my vehicle (full of my livelyhood) always feels safe. I can't fault it.
Excellent location for the motorway as we needed to collect and take friends to and from the airport. The room we had was large and the bed comfortable.
The fire alarm went off at 12.30am on our first night and it was at least 20 minutes before someone arrived to deal with the situation. The shower control taps were difficult to set for water temperature.
Location
We had no warning that our room didn’t have a window. Blinds on velux window didn’t work, so room stayed light in early morning. No soap n the hand dispenser The security guards were rather intimidating when our son and daughter in law brought their grandson and partner to check in, although we were in the reception to meet them.
A great location - countryside yet so very well located for Solihull/NEC/Motorway. Very comfortable rooms which are located around the garden and drop off area - minimal walking. Dinner and Breakfast very good
The room was comfortable. The breakfast was perfectly adequate and the cooked food we ordered was excellent. The evening menu offered a variety of dishes with a daily option. The meals we had were well cooked and carefully presented. The staff in the bistro were very obliging.
The outside music was a little intrusive but it came to an end by 23.00. Our room was adjacent to a food store and bin area so we were disturbed late evening and early morning as staff needed to access these areas.
The dining area was nice and surrounding gardens
Our room needed updating ie carpets beds and bathroom
Environment. Setup. Restaurant food
Stairs a bit steep. I’m an Arthritic 76yr old

Room was OK Meal was very good.
Bathroom was a little small.
Welcoming, peaceful, comfortable and nice location.

Great location
Great staff service when arrived, stay here every year for crufts, lovely hotel
Beautiful location and facilities.
The wifi was a little challenging to get a signal for work. I had to go use the lobby but I was told the guest WiFi was down that day
Nice size room in a quiet location.
Lack of heating in the room.
No option of Dinner on the Sunday I was not informed of this on the Booking . Breakfast times had changed to one our later . when this was mentioned no offer of local alternative options was given , I.e. local Steak house down the road .
When checking in i was not directed to the location to find the room i wandered around until i worked out that i needed to go outside to find alterative building to access accommodation ..& what was with the piped music in the Car park ?
Just 👍
Nothing
The room was very quiet and comfortable and the décor lovely. I also liked the extra security of the chain lock on the door.
Beautiful setting
Dinner wasn’t available when we arrived as food stopped at 8:30 which is a little bit early No breakfast available in the morning before we left at 7:30 hotel was locked. Very noisy could hear every time someone turned a tap on the walls were almost rattling
vriendelijk personeel bij ontbijt
kamer
Situation à côté du NEC
Une lampe extérieur qui s’allume et s’éteint la nuit
Good staff nice room
Had a problem eating there. First night they forgot to tell me the kitchen was closing early due to a function. Second night, the restaurant was closed. Fortunately, local pub was good.
Loved the location & friendliness of the staff. It was clean and comfortable. Great breakfast!
They have functions - so as a guest, if you are staying for a weekend, you will be subjected to very loud music in your bedroom from the venue. We had this in both Friday and Saturday nights until 12am.
Friendly, clean and great location for an overnight visit. Great evening meal and great value. Will stay again if in the area.
Nice comfortable stay for one night.
The weather.
Rooms were really nice, clean, modern, well equipped.
N/A. Was only there for say 18 hours, most was spent either out or asleep
