Amazing breakfast. The vibe of the place was beautiful..old world charm, excellent service. superb cleanliness , good bathroom.

Since the view from the window was not attractive they could have dressed up the overlooking roof top (which we could see from our window) with some potted plants. We are aware that we booked the "tiny" room but it was smaller than tiny !!

The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and helpful! The locaiton is great and the breakfast was delicious (and generous!).

We stayed in the 'mini comfort' room, which felt a bit cramped but was still comfortable!

Beautiful building in a stunning location with lovely gardens. Plenty parking in the grounds. Rooms pleasant and clean. Breakfast on another level. Probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in my extensive travels. Fab menu to choose from and food u can tell is local quality produce. Friendly staff and helpful.

The Hideaway is a lovely small hotel, set in a large garden with plenty of off street parking. Very quiet area yet only 5 mins walk to the center of Windermere. Breakfast was excellent, made to feel very welcome by attentive and friendly staff. The weather was great during our stay and we spent some time sat in the garden watching a squirrel and a very friendly Robin. Highly recommended.

Fabulous hotel. Room brilliant. Breakfast great! We had the room with the spiral staircase down to the bathroom which could be difficult if you're not very mobile. But we are both 73 and managed ok. Gardens are lovely. We sat out all evening with a bottle of wine. Really recommend this hotel.

Large and beautiful house on a quiet street, delicious breakfast and the family that run it are very helpful. Large parking lot and close to bus stops if needed. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Contact them directly for booking as the online site said they were full when we wanted to visit but they did in fact still have rooms.

Adults only hotel was very accommodating from start to finish Greeted warmly by Richard upon arrival, who then subsequently helped with our luggage to the room. Hospitality from the staff was excellent throughout the visit, breakfast was varied, tasty and served to your table efficiently with a smile. We rate the breakfast as being one of the very, and we are frequent travellers. Location was minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Windermere, but perfect for peace and tranquility Highly recommended and will be returning in the near future Colin

This was an absolutely lovely bed and breakfast and I would return. The location is ideal for exploring the lake district without a car, although they do offer parking if you prefer to drive. The Hideaway is a short walk from the train station--about 10 minutes walk depending on how fast you walk. Similarly, you may walk to various bus stops in the area (they take contactless payment) as well as to Bowness--which is about 25-30 minutes walk away. The breakfast was good and the homemade cakes were also a very thoughtful touch. To get the cakes, you must now book direct with the Hideaway rather than through a third party. The rooms were clean, cozy, warm, and snug, exactly what you want after a long day of hiking. Overall, this was a very efficiently run bed and breakfast and I am very glad I stayed here.

We have stayed here twice now and have only amazing things to say about The Hideaway at Windermere. Staff are phenomenal providing amazing hospitality from when you first check in up until check out. Fantastic location with onsite parking which is really helpful. Stayed in different rooms each stay and both were incredibly clean, comfortable and spacious. Could not recommend this bed and breakfast enough for a getaway in the lakes!

The location, accommodations, and breakfast offerings were exceptional, providing a wide variety of choices. The homemade orange cake was particularly delightful.

We have stayed at The Hideaway on numerous occasions, because we love it so much. Lovely staff, who are always so pleasant and helpful, and make you feel at home, as soon as you walk through the door. The en-suite rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, with contemporary furnishings and really comfortable beds. There are tea and coffee making facilities in each room. The breakfast, made with local produce, is outstanding, with so much choice to cater for every taste. Additionally, you can have complimentary homemade cake to enjoy on every day of your stay, when your booking is made directly through The Hideaway website. There is also ample free parking in the well maintained hotel grounds. The Hideaway is located in a very quiet area of Windermere village, with its variety of restaurants and shops, only a five minute walk away.

From the 1st second we walked in to the last, we were looked after. Check in excellent, shown to our room & instructions given from breakfast, coming back into the hotel late at night & about local bars, restaurants around Windermere & how to catch the bus down into Bowness. The owner & staff couldn't do enough for us. Very clean, comfortable & ideal location.

A very welcome return to this lovely hotel situated in Windermere, set back from the hustle and bustle of the town, but only minutes walk away from everything that you'd need. Lisa (& Richard) and their team are 1st class when it comes to hospitality, with their friendly and professional service. The food choices were excellent too, with everyone catered for, which is very much appreciated. Can't wait for our next visit.

An excellent boutique hotel located in the centre of Windermere with ample parking with welcoming hosts. A superb breakfast with plenty of choice and service at breakfast is very efficient. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

The Hideaway is a wonderful place to stay and very homely. The bed was extremely comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Richard and his staff were very welcoming and extremely hard working. The croissants given out at breakfast were a real added bonus. Thank you for making my first visit to the Lakes a very enjoyable one and I would love to stay at the Hideaway again, when I next visit.

Absolute pleasure to have found this little gem to stay at for a few days Owners and Staff excellent, food really good quality and local knowledge was excellent. 4-5 minute stroll into Windemere town centre, a mile to Bowness and lake Windemere From the minute we arrived until we left it was perfect. Home made cakes daily was a great touch, we'll be returning soon

The property was lovely. Just of the main road but close to enough to everything so walking around was easy. Parking as well which is a bonus. The house has a lot of character. We went originally for the double but we’re upgraded to the king. The room was well appointed. Spiral staircase down to the bathroom. Big bath and walk in shower. Dressing gowns were a plus. My husband loved the breakfast. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Highly highly recommended
