It was convenient and the staff were lovely and accomodating.

The carpeting was filthy. Really not appropriate unless cleaned regularly. The room had NO hangers or closet, no AC and the fan was loud.

The fire door suppressor was not working and the door was banging all night.

The location itself is fine. With local busses (n. 20 and 100) you get there in 10 minutes from Gatwick south terminal. I had mistakenly booked a family room, so space was never an issue. The real problem was that the room, on the ground floor, faced the parking lot, and I could hear guests coming and going with their luggage right outside my window all night. As a result, I kept waking up

Great communication. Super shuttle service from Gatwick. Cas friendly and welcoming. Efficient check-in. Room and bathroom very clean. Bed was comfortable.

Traffic noise started early in morning. Breakfast awful - a help yourself to a sugar overload of iced doughnuts, sugary cereals, pre-packaged brownies and cake. An array of jams only for croissants. Bread for toast stale.

The breakfast was just simple everyday breakfast cereals and cup of tea.

The steps when carrying a suitcase it was heavy and also the shower was very high and was a fixed one.

The location

The facilities were very poor. TV is broken and the fan was so loud. Breakfast was poor.

Cheap alternative to local Gatwick airport hotels. Rainfall shower was excellent and room had everything you needed.

Close to LGW. Need to catch 20 or 100.

Accomodation was clean and comfortable. The buffet style continental breakfast choice and presentation was good, as was the efficient shuttle service to and from the Airport to the hotel (at a fraction of the price of a taxi). Staff were friendly and helpful. A good experience, and very good value for money.

Great location for Gatwick, staff kind and helpful. Parking easy and shuttle very convenient. Bonus has a great restaurant. Definitely use again.

het ontbijt was continentaal en was erg simpel met geen hartigheid. Geen vlees, kaas of ei.

It was very convenient for Gatwick the staff were absolutely brilliant. The restaurant in the hotel was beyond words... I had one of the Bangladeshi dishes and it was unquestionably the best Indian food I have ever eaten anywhere ever. One very small thing if you could supply more capsules of milk and more bags of tea in the room it would be hugely appreciated by caffeine addicts😁

Acorn Lodge is close to Gatwick Airport & close to Horley town centre. The hotel is very clean, tidy & comfortable and is great value for money with a continental type breakfast included. The owners & staff are so friendly and can’t do enough to help and remembered us from our previous stay over last Christmas.

This is purely aesthetic, but there are areas that are looking tired and in need of a spruce up…but for an overnight stay it has everything you need, including a lovely looking Indian restaurant which we must try next time!

I absolutely loved my stay at Acorn Lodge Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and caring. They were very hands-on and attentive throughout my stay, always willing to offer support and go the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. The hotel was very clean too. Another highlight was the restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great selection and very reasonable prices. It was so convenient to have such a lovely restaurant on-site. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and felt genuinely looked after during my stay. I would definitely recommend Acorn Lodge Hotel and would happily stay here again!

Close to Gatwick. Staff friendly. Shuttle bus to either terminal £5-each person. Has all you need for a stay. Has an Indian restaurant. We weren’t in the mood for one so ate elsewhere but the smell was yummy, they do a roaring takeaway from there.

Nothing to not like. Was basic, we are used to nice 4/5,star hotels which this isn’t but it’s a bed for the night, had everything we needed & was cheap.

All our clothes stunk of curry . The room was incredibly small and the double bed only had 1 entry. Noise all throughout the night of toilets flushing. Breakfast unavailable from 8: 50 even though offered to 9 am . Bad service and non caring attitude . No staff available to advise us. More a curry restaurant than a hotel . Very disappointed.

It had a continental breakfast of sorts served from 5am which was handy for a very early flight.

The hotel is quite dilapidated. Our triple room was incredibly hot despite the heating being off and it being a cool evening that night. There was a fan, that was taped together and just about worked. There weren’t enough towels and the shower just about worked. Overall not a great night’s sleep, but did the job.

Liked that the hotel was close to gatwick airport and that is all.

Room was very dated and worn and carpet not very clean as well as hairs in the shower and one of the plug sockets not secured on wall and was taped to it. Did not cater for my gluten free request and breakfast items of low grade quality and no proper orange or apple juice for was just squash.

Location. The staff prompt brought me an extra fan because it was really warm. Good shower.

Disrupted sleep from Road noise & people in adjacent room moving at 3am

The person who checked me in was kind, and that was literally the only positive thing about this stay.

How does this carry a “7” on Booking.com? This hotel is not as advertised at all. It was so insanely filthy. The curtains didn’t cover the windows. There was mold on the cabinets. The shower drain was clogged. There was dust and hair all over the floor. There was “pest repellent” near the bed 🤢. No air conditioning, very hot. I did not go to the continental breakfast, the place was so dirty, I would not eat there. Booking needs to change its rating scale if this accommodation had been ranked a 7. I have slept in cleaner garages. Every cheap hostel I have ever stayed in around the world was cleaner than this place. It was horrifying.

Well,,,, the shower head was a bit too high,,, light was a string to pull on....the stairs need a stair lift or ride chair up. Dinner was amazing delicious. Staff very helpful.

No aircon, rooms smell of cigarette smoke, door hanging off the bathroom, the bunk bed was unsteady. Pillows are like rocks.

Location - 10 minute walk into town

Room: tatty, wallpaper peeling, old marked furniture, sheets didn’t fit bed properly, broken lamp that had to be propped up in the corner, cheap plastic fan that was very noisy; Bathroom: tiny! Marked mirror, loose toilet seat, dirty corners/floor etc, very rusty towel rail; Breakfast: 😣 jars of jam/marmalade for everyone to ‘share’ ❗️tubs of yoghurt in fridge for everyone to dip into and share❗️Food from the night before all over the floor, last nights dishes left on the counter! Breakfast was NOT GOOD!!

Helpful courtesy minibus to and from the airport, but at additional cost and restricted hours. Basic breakfast available from early until 9am is good. On site Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant on site very good and open until 10pm! Very helpful for late flights.

Room facilities could be modernised. The shower head is fixed in place rather than flexible. The USB charge points only worked when bedside lamps were switched on, so were off during sleeping hours!

I booked this last minute as my flight from Bordeaux left an hour late so I missed my ongoing flight. The price of room had been reduced to £62 which was great. The manager and staff of hotel, which is also an Indian restaurant, were very friendly and I was very grateful that I was given a room on ground floor as I have back pain and going upstairs with no lift would have troubled me. The room was basic but had everything I needed including a fan which was a relief! The breakfast was basic, rolls , pastries etc. The manager arranged a lift to the airport very early the following morning for £10.00 which was great as I had paid £21.00 to Gatwick taxis the previous evening for a 5 minutes ride. All in all I definitely must say I got value for money I paid.

As I was there for literally 12 hours I found everything satisfactory.

Staff was very kind and let us having breakfast earlier to be able to catch our early morning flight. The airport is just a few minutes away by bus which is convenient and cheap.

Le chauffeur du transfert ne m’a même pas aidée à porter mes valises alors que j’étais complètement débordée. Quant au petit-déjeuner, il était vraiment décevant : très peu de choix, aucun plat salé et personne n’était disponible pour renseigner les clients.

Friendly reception staff. I arrived at 12:30am and they obliged to send the shuttle-van to pick me up from the airport (Gatwick South Terminal Level 0 Bus stop 9). The room is small but adequate for one person. The bathroom is extremely small as well especially the shower space. The hotel offers a continental breakfast. I would say acceptable for an overnight transit stay near Gatwick.

Great location for Gatwick Airport was able to leave cars for a small fee whilst we were away the staff dropped us off for a small fee but had to get a taxi back as no one answered the phone!!

Very noisy, with the main road outside the bedroom window and a constant water fountain too. Breakfast, included, was a poor continental offering.

Duschen var så trång att man knappt kunde komma in. Sängen var rätt liten för en lång person som jag. Oerhört varmt på sommaren, men fläkt finns och man kunde öppna fönstren.

The room was filthy! Dust in every corner of the carpet. Which made me not want to eat there. No soap in the bathroom or shampoo or hair conditioner and the taps leaked on a very busy corner. I discovered there was a Holiday Inn just up the road. Even though I booked a shuttle before I left Spain none was at the airport, nor did the hotel answer their phone. I ended up spending $40 Cdn. to be taken less than 5 kms to their motel and nope $10 pounds prepaid on arrival to get back to the airport! Never again!

Nära Gatwick flygplats. Bra pris när man bara egentligen ska sova. Väldigt billigt. De ordnade shuttle till flygplatsen 10pund för 1 person och 15 pund för 2-4personer. Ca 7min att gå in till Horley och där fanns butiker och restauranger, mysig stad. 2 min att gå till busshållplats för att sen ta tåg från Gatwick om man vill åka in i London. Frukost kl 05-09 vilket är bra om man flyger tidigt.

Inget mer än marmelad till pålägg på smörgås. Men fanns yoghurt, bröd, smör, marmelad, flingor och mjölk. Samt olika bakverk. Väldigt hård säng. Fanns bara 2 uttag att ladda i.
