Absolutely love the Puri - love the breakfast- the stunning well maintained gardens - the four different pools

Did find the lighting in the room (192) not great - I think the bathroom lighting could be improved - even though make up is not important in Bali - I found it impossible to put any on due to the poor lighting in bathroom

We had a wonderful stay at this spacious beachfront resort, surrounded by beautiful manicured gardens. Our adults-only room was lovely, the pool area was relaxing, and the breakfast and resort food were delicious and reasonably priced. We would happily return.

The location was really good. For us and our needs it was the perfect spot. Pools were good, setting was very peaceful. Good access to the beach and it was clean. Breakfast was good.

I think that the egg station is better at the Griya the sister hotel as eggs were made on the spot whereas at the Puri they were made prior and stood before making.

Lovely resort , I have stayed many times over 15 years. Love the position and tranquility but this time there seemed to be some cut backs, charging for an ice bucket to the room seems unnecessary when paying a high room rate.

More amenities in the room , there was always a body lotion in the bathroom on my 5 previous stays.

Such a beautifully presented resort with direct access to the beach. We stayed in the Adults only section and it was gorgeous. The rooms were large with plenty of space for luggage and hanging. Our ground floor unit was in front of the pool. A good breakfast selection and location.. Right on the beach. The staff handled an booking issue (that was my fault) with professionalism and addressed it very quickly and favourably. Our daughter stayed in a premier deluxe room which was also very large and well appointed. Three pool areas (although two are for guests in those areas only) but we also lounged by the main pool near the beachfront which was magnificent.

The verandah furniture isn't very comfortable. Some rooms had nice cane loungers which I would recommend for all rooms.

This is a stunning property with attention to detail simply beautiful. Choice of pools is awesome. The breakfasts are amazing. The beach is kept tidy & neat. The staff are friendly & always available.

Property very overpriced, have had better value and quality which cost much less in Sanur. Main pool was very cold and hard to get pool lounger chair, many pool chairs reserved with no one using them for long lengths which staff did not address.

Lovely facilities, food options and staff

The hotel sprays an insecticide mixed with diesel 3 times a week to kill mosquitoes. It is "fogged" through the whole resort. It can be dangerous to humans and one night we noticed literally thousands of dead bees after the spraying. Extremely disappointing. It is not known this is done until you arrive. Not on their website of course!

Stayed for a week in Club Santrian room. Beautiful resort, gardens & shady pools. Area we stayed only for adults so very peaceful poolside for relaxing hours. Average breakfast buffet, water supplies and firm mattress a bit disappointing. Overall pretty good but unsure if will return.

We were lucky to be given a room upgrade so probably stayed in one of the best rooms, suite 301 which had two balconies both with sea views. The hotel location was great. The majority of the staff were very friendly and helpful There was a good selection of pools and a large seating area for breakfast so always tables available

Most of the sunbeds were in the shade .There was a 3o minute rule advised about beds being left unattended but never enforced so a lot of sunbed hogging goin on where beds were reserved but unused most of the day. Personally i think it should be 1 hour to allow you to go off and have breakfast or lunch. The staff were always polite and friendly at breakfast, but there was definitely a staff shortage. I think I only got asked for my room number twice meaning anyone could walk in and have breakfast. No information given by reception during check in advising of any activities, happy hours etc so not sure if any existed If I'm being picky, the bathroom also had a huge bathtub but no bubble bath to use with it and shower gel was bolted to the wall of the shower

The location is perfect right on huge section of the beach with the choice is sun lounges on the beach and around the pools. The staff were exceptional.

Because it is a huge resort I think they would have more su lounges, especially around the pools, role claim them very early & when busy often cant get one.

Room was grand floor and had a door adjoining to another room, whilst it was locked we could hear noise at all hours from people next door. Asked reception if we could move and they were frosty and unhelpful. We also would have liked to come back again to this hotel after an island visit but they would not offer us a good rate/the same rate, even as repeat customers, so we stayed elsewhere and didn’t feel they had valued our custom.

What a gorgeous resort. I really can’t fault it. So quiet (we went out of school holiday period) and gorgeous pools and a lovely beach.

We stayed at Puri Santrian for 14 nights and, unfortunately, the experience fell well short of what we expected from a resort positioned at the four-to-five-star level, depending on which booking platform or source you look at. For context, we are very experienced travellers, typically taking around six holidays a year, and have stayed at more than 30 four- and five-star all-inclusive resorts around the world. We therefore feel we have a reasonable benchmark for what constitutes a quality resort experience. We don’t expect perfection, and we understand that things can occasionally go wrong, but we do expect problems to be handled professionally and the overall standard of service and accommodation to reflect the price and positioning of the property. There are some positives. The resort has a good beachfront location, the public areas and swimming pools are clean, there was generally good availability of sun loungers, and the complimentary bicycle hire was a nice touch. However, these positives were significantly outweighed by the service issues and, in particular, the way our room booking was handled. The room issue was particularly disappointing. For the first 7 of our 14 nights, we were put into a Superior Room despite having booked and paid for a Deluxe Room. We had the booking confirmation clearly showing the Deluxe Room allocation, and this confirmation had been provided to the hotel. When we raised the issue with the hotel, rather than simply checking the booking and resolving it, we were met with disbelief that our reservation was actually for the upgraded room. It took intervention from our travel agent, Kenwood Travel, to finally resolve the situation. To their credit, Kenwood Travel were excellent and sorted the problem within a matter of hours. We were subsequently moved to a Family Suite and given food and beverage vouchers. What was particularly disappointing was that at no point did anyone from the hotel offer a genuine apology for the error or the lack of understanding. The food and service were also inconsistent:- Breakfast was very limited in variety and felt like a fairly standard buffet — pastries, cereals, juices and an omelette station. One particularly strange restriction was that you were apparently limited to one latte or cappuccino at breakfast, after which you had to have the standard filter coffee. This is an unusual policy for a resort positioned at this level. Lunch service was another recurring problem and could turn lunch into a minimum two-hour affair. It was extremely difficult to have meals arrive at the same time for everyone on the table. On numerous occasions, one person’s food would arrive considerably later than everyone else’s, sometimes after others had already finished eating. What should have been a relaxed holiday lunch became a frustrating exercise in waiting for food to arrive. Over a two-week stay, this became a recurring and very noticeable problem. More broadly, the service was remarkably inconsistent. Some members of staff were pleasant and helpful, but the overall experience lacked the level of attentiveness, organisation and professionalism we would expect from a quality four/five-star resort. There was also very little in the way of entertainment or organised events during our stay. If you’re looking for a resort with activities and atmosphere beyond the pool and beach, there isn’t much happening here. The watersports offering was also extremely limited. Overall Puri Santrian undoubtedly has some good features — particularly its beachfront position, clean grounds and pools, availability of loungers and free bicycles. But for us, these positives weren’t enough to compensate for the poor handling of our room booking, the extremely dated Superior Room, lack of apology, inconsistent service, limited breakfast, painfully slow lunch service and lack of resort activities. The biggest frustration is that many of these issues are completely avoidable. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how a hotel deals with them. In our case, the hotel didn’t resolve its own mistake — our travel agent did. A special mention must therefore go to Kenwood Travel, who were excellent throughout and resolved the room issue quickly. Without their intervention, I suspect our experience would have been considerably worse. Sadly, based on our 14-night stay, we would not return to Puri Santrian and would struggle to recommend it to other seasoned travellers. The resort has the location and potential, but in our experience, the accommodation, service delivery and overall standards simply don’t justify the level at which the resort is positioned.

We loved our Premier Deluxe ground floor room with its adults only infinity pool. The location is excellent.

More sun lounges by the pool would be good.

Prachtig resort, prachtig zwembad, heerlijk aan het strand en makkelijk langs de kust wandelen of fietsen. Het resort heeft echt een prachtige tuin. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en het personeel super.

Ik zou een echt bed voor mijn kind beter vinden in plaats van een slaapbank.

Our shower temperature wasn’t good at all - it was either scorching hot or cold with no water pressure.

An oasis of calm after the chaotic mayhem of Balinese roads. Super professional staff, a very efficient check-in. We stayed for four nights, after exploring Japan for two and a half weeks. The hotel was restful, food was so tasty, staff were helpful & friendly. The hotel grounds are lush and green with plenty of shade. We had a spacious, well-equipped room cleaned to a high standard. Absolutely no complaints or niggles from our stay. Highly recommended

Absolutely gorgeous hotel! The staff made us feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough. Food was phenomenal and the location was perfect.

The only little thing I’d say is that the geckos were so loud at night, but you do get used to them. Other than that, we couldn’t fault it!

The selection of pools meant a variety of places to swim, the breakfast was excellent each day and dinner over the sands of the beach was wonderful. A very easy resort to stay in, great location and Sanur is slightly less hectic than other parts of Bali.

The price was a little higher than other options (ie Prama) but the standard of everything at Puri Santrian was very good.

Die Zimmer und die Ausstattung lassen keine Wünsche übrig. Das Hotel ist sauber, die Anlage gepflegt und man hat einen direkten Strandzugang. Perfekt für Paare oder Familien für einen entspannten Badeurlaub. Wir kommen wieder!

Had a couples massage at Puri Santrian Spa. Very serene experience, quiet room and attentive massage from Emma & Tian; They avoided areas that were sensitive, so you doubt have to worry about any sore spots. Left feeling very relaxed.
