Location and room style. It’s a cute hotel, restaurant food at Benjamin was good.

Pillow smell (someone else mentioned it, definitely a moldy smell from the down pillows) and street noise. I’m a deep sleeper and kept getting woken up from it. I think the windows need to be sealed better or something, it was bad on the 8th floor.

Staff were great, it was very clean. My wife and I were very impressed with this hotel, will 100% come back again.

Stanza bellissima e di design. Letto king comodissimo. Bagno bellissimo e spazioso. Posizione dell hotel a soli 3 Min dal campus universitario e comodissima per girare a piedi Montreal. A due minuti dal centro commerciale Eaton. Staff gentilissimo e parcheggio in loco con valet service. Ho apprezzato tantissimo l assenza di moquette. C è un bel parquet di legno chiaro che trasmette immediatamente sensazione di pulito. House keeping veramente attenta a tutto, acqua cambiata, bicchieri puliti e asciugamani cambiati ogni giorno.

La doccia non ha il doccino separato ed è molto difficile non bagnarsi i capelli se si volesse evitare. Aria condizionata in camera un po' troppo forte

Service client déplorable du début à la fin du séjour et même après le séjour puisqu'aucune action n'a été engagée suite à notre séjour malgré le feedback que nous avions donné à l'oral et par leur canal whatsapp. Dans cet hôtel, on ne gère pas les problèmes du client et les problèmes du client sont la faute du client par défaut. Hôtel 4 étoiles qui commercialise des chambres avec 2 lits sans lit d'appoint pour 5 personnes (oui, 3 personnes dans un lit queen size ou 1 personne par terre au choix... dans un 4 étoiles)

The property is in an excellent location, with easy access to key amenities and transportation. The neighbourhood is safe, quiet, and very suitable for families. The accommodation itself is spacious, with a well-designed layout, modern finishes, and well-maintained facilities. It was simply perfect for our family trip. A special mention must go to the entire staff. From the valets and cleaners to the receptionists and the wonderful waitress at the restaurant, everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable and truly unforgettable. You could feel that everyone took pride in making guests feel comfortable and valued. In fact, my 4-year-old little boy was genuinely angry 😡 when we told him it was time to leave! That says a lot about how comfortable and enjoyable our stay was for the whole family. We will definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable, peaceful, convenient, and genuinely welcoming place to stay.

One small suggestion for improvement would be to add a centre table in the room. It would be a nice and practical addition, especially for families, and would make the living space even more comfortable and functional.

Location and service was excellent

The room had a smell both in the bathroom and near the bed. Like sewage backed up from the water drain… Could be something that the renovations couldn’t fix but it was not ideal. Everything else was very nice

Overpriced restaurant. Breakfast was unbelievably slow and not even worth it. Our food wasn’t even seasoned. The main Latina bartender is great! She was super friendly, told us all about the cocktails and the city!!!

They gave me a better and more quiet room after I said I can't be next to a noisy family room.

They are keeping you deposit for a month. Shame. Passing by the reception several times a day, they don't even consider to say hi to the client. As you wouldn't exist.

I liked that the staff were always available and quick to answer the rooms were clean, location was great. Staff was responsive when we called and finished the requested task right away. Also the chocokates on the bed wefe very appreciated!

Chromcast didnt connect after several tries and staff also tried to help but was unsuccessful even though they tried their best and the bluetooth speaker connected to someone elses phone and they blasted music so we unplugged it

Hotel muy bien situado en el Downtown. La habitación estaba muy bien y cuidaban mucho los detalles. Me encanta la luz baja de la cama que solo se activa si te levantas y no tienes que estar buscando la luz por la noche.

Located downtown, walking distance to alot, did not have to drive anywhere

We loved the attentive, friendly & professional service throughout the hotel. The room was very clean, stylish and maintained in great condition. Le Labo amenities, clean proper towels and large oval bath tub that fills up very quickly without waiting for a long time. Pet friendly. Location was great right by Eaton Mall and many restaurants.

Room was slightly dark but there are other rooms I believe that have more light. Bed was too firm to our liking but again very clean and beddings were nice.

Tout! L'accueil, le confort des lits, la petite piscine chauffée, l'emplacement, la propreté de la chambre. Nous sommes arrivés plus tôt que l'heure de check-in et on nous a tout de même offert tout de suite une chambre puisqu'il y en avait une de prête.

Le seul point négatif que j'ai à mentionner est le fait que l'eau ne s'écoulait pas assez vite dans la douche. On se retrouve les pieds sous l'eau presque dès qu'on ouvre l'eau.

Absolutely everything. A nice bonus was the night light under the bed. And the most comfy bathrobe, I even bought one to bring home. Minibar had premium wines and the right temperature. The Benjamin restaurant was an absolute top as well.

As someone who has stayed in many hotels in Montreal over the last 5 years, Metcalfe has the perfect location to walk around downtown and get to other places of the city via the metro. The room is very clean, shower water is strong and warm, and bed is comfortable.

The pillow fillings smelled weird. Not sure what was in them. If your head lands on the pillows a bit hard, a cloud of that smell will puff out.

Le ragazze alla reception poco disponibili. Abbiamo chiesto un late check out per un problema fisico di mia moglie e ci hanno chiesto 90 dollari, dicendo che la nostra tipologia di camera non era disponibile. Abbiamo controllato con una prenotazione sul loro sito e TUTTE le camere erano disponibili. Che dire? Inoltre, non danno il bagnoschiuma. Solo saponette per le mani che in doccia schizzano via, rischiando di farti ammazzare sul piatto doccia. Danno i sali da bagno, ma solo uno appena arrivati. Poi mai più visti.

The valet person (Gingo) was exception. Always greeted you with a warm smile and made you feel welcomed. Breakfast available was acceptable but opened late and much to costly for limited offerings.

They could have coffee , tea available in the lobby. Difficult to navigate in this area.

La proximité avec le métro. Le fait que c'est dans centre-ville mais très tranquille.

Certaines parties de l'hôtel sont en rénovation (restaurant). L'accès à la douche était quasi impossible, la porte ouvrait sur la toilette et il faut se glisser entre les deux pour y accéder.

The bed was surprising very comfortable. We loved the big bath tub. location was great.

The air conditioner was WAY too loud and made it difficult to sleep. Also the refrigerator in the room was also very loud - annoying humming sound. I had to unplug it. While the bed was so comfortable, the loud air conditioner and refrigerator made it very difficult to sleep. This was a real shame.

Great location (I was visiting McGill), comfortable, very helpful staff, provided individual bars of soap, shampoo, etc.

great location - very close to many activities like Museum of Fine Arts and Eaton Centre . Also many convenient restaurants close by and a Provigo to buy some snacks for the room . Staff was good when we checked out and had some time before catching our train they kept our bags for us while we went out for brunch .

Staff did not educate how to use elevator - that we had to swipe key cards . No one told us that the staircase is locked from the inside - that was stressful . Also , there was dried blood on the bed sheets , and we had a "do not disturb" sign on the door as we went out to get coffee and when we got back there was a maid in our room - rather unsettled after this .

Too expensive for what it is, unhelpful staff and mis-selling information on website on purpose: - asked about breakfast options in the area, the staff at the front desk had no idea…. I guess they wanted to sell their own breakfast - pool was closed despite being the first picture on the website and being shown as open despite being closed for days (whilst some other facilities were shown closed on their website!). When asked for a refund, staff was very unhelpful though offered breakfast.

It was clean and staff were friendly.

It was not advertised anywhere that the parking facility could not accommodate trucks. I was told on arrival that my truck could not go in the underground parking. After an hour of driving around and having to pay over $105 for outside parking, the manager then indicates they can approval valet to park my truck in their underground parking. But would not provide this fee when informed I already paid over $100 for parking up the street. Buffet breakfast was disgusting. Barely any options, hash browns not cooked fully, cold coffee and this buffet was not in a restaurant, it was in two hotel rooms that had been joined to offer approximately 8 tables. Not to mention two people coughing and sneezing all over the buffet. Not the hotels fault, but added to the gross factor. No towels at the outdoor pool Coffee maker overflowed everywhere because the coffee cups provided were too small for the amount of coffee the espresso machine made.

We had a great stay at Le St-Martin. The staff was excellent and very friendly. Valet and check in was very fast and the rooms were very clean and exactly as advertised on the website. You can't beat the location either.

Great location. Close to train station. Rooms were fairly nice and comfortable.

There was a cold draft coming from the window. Didn’t seem to be any heat coming from the fireplace. Seems it’s just for aesthetics. There was a little mold in the tile of the shower. And it was difficult to regulate the temperature of the water in the bathroom sink. Cold was turned to the max and the hot water was quite sensitive. The slightest movement changed it from barely lukewarm to scalding hot.

I had the most lovely stay with Le St-Martin. The staff kindly upgraded me to a room with a bathtub when I told them I was in town for important business and was feeling a bit stressed. The room was super charming and comfortable. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. I highly recommend Le St-Martin to anybody visiting Montreal!

Liked the valet parking and the staff were great. The room was also great, there was a glass wall between the shower and the beds so I could keep on eye on my little one when getting ready. Location was fantastic and the restaurant attached 👌 😀 Id stay here again and recommend it.

Located near a few garages if you drive, also close to the metro. Plenty of restaurants and shopping close by. The room was clean, quiet. There is a nespresso machine in your room and when you check in they give you bottles of water, but they don’t replenish them after the first night of your stay. My fiancé and I enjoyed the outdoor heated pool, we wish it was slightly warmer.

Location, location, location! Walking distance to everything downtown and old Town and Mont Royal. Standard room was clean,bed comfy, quiet. Front desk and cleaning staff were professional and courteous and helpful.

No closet or coat hooks in room. Therefore, nowhere to hang wet winter jackets ( it was a rainy day in Montreal). Would recommend adding a few hooks on the wall.

Location is great, close to all major attractions. Bathtub is big and deep and fills with water very quickly.

The staff are not welcoming and do not speak English very well. We felt uneasy communicating with them. The gym is a joke: the size of a shoebox with one rusty machine that I was afraid to use. The room service is sloppy: forgot clean towels, forgot to wash our wine glass, never bring any water, we had to call the reception every night to have them bring some water and bath salt. The WiFi is very slow, TV does not stream, only Cable TV, the fridge didn't work. We paid 2000 for 4 nights, and we didn't get our money's worth.

I have stayed many times over the years and have had many great experiences. Unfortunately not this time. While the staff was friendly, they forgot to advise us when we arrived that the hotel was no longer serving breakfast. When I reached out to book breakfast before checking out I was asked whether I had been advised it was not available. I had not been. The room had a foul odour which my friends noticed as soon as we walked in the room. It seemed to be coming from the floor drain in the bathroom. We had to keep the door closed at all times. We discovered just before bed that the thermostat was stuck at 23 degrees and we couldn’t turn it off so we were uncomfortable all night in a stuffy hot room. I booked for 3 adults in the room and we only had robes, towels ,soap etc for two. I was told as we were leaving that the hotel would be closing in a few weeks for renovations as they had been bought out by the Grey group but that they had already begun renovations on the upper floors. However we paid full price for a hotel that is operating at half capacity. I have stayed at several of the Grey group hotels and this is not up to their standards. I would not have booked a stay for a special occasion with my friends if I had known about the state of the hotel. Very disappointing

Nice hotel....good location. BUT, forget getting any correspondence, including room confirmation in English even though specifically requested. Not exactly promoting out of Province business with this approach.

It’s a very nice hotel, the Bistro has been closed the last two times I was there, I was told breakfast was an additional $23, but it would be nice if there was coffee/tea available in the lobby and included in the price. There is a Nespresso machine in the room, but the pods make a tiny cup. Giant bathtub in the room was very nice and filled quickly with lots of hot water.

We always enjoy our stay here, the beds and room layout is perfect and the big stand alone soaker tub is to die for. This is our 4th reservation and the property is undergoing some renovations, can’t wait to see the new vibe!!
