The staff were polite and courteous. The room was clean, and the location was close to everything.

We booked the hotel because it was close to the sea, but the water was so rough and windy that we couldn't go in; consequently, its seaside location didn't really matter to us. The room was clean but small and smelled of dampness. There was no space in the room to unpack our suitcases. The bathroom was cramped and impractical. Furthermore, there was body hair—not just head hair, but body hair—on the shower curtain. Room servise was too loud and made us wake up.

The beachfront location was perfect. The food at the Atlantic was amazing. The staff was super friendly and treated me with care as a solo traveler. Oh and the beds were super comfortable.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The location, staff, and cleanliness were top-notch. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, we felt welcome.

There was noise from a construction site nearby. There was no cold water in the shower—only a range from warm to boiling. The labels on the faucet were mixed up—boiling water came out when it was set to "cold." It would be great to have a shower on the beach, but that's not a complaint—it's just a suggestion.

The sheets were dirty. The restroom door had a hole in it. The room was very small, felt like a hostel not a $200 a night hotel.

Windows are sealed shut, so you can see the ocean, but cannot hear it or smell it. Room was somewhat adjacent to swinging patio/bar, with very loud music all afternoon, so even outside you were not allowed peaceful relaxation .

We liked the location, our room was clean and modern and the staff was attentive and engaging.

There was nothing not to like about the property.

Location location location, beachfront access at a nice beach in town (Condado). The restaurant and bar had good quality menus, waiting times, and views. The bed was very comfortable.

Stayed at The Tryst Hotel and it was such a great experience 🌴 The property is beautiful and literally right on the beach — we had a beach-view room and waking up to that view every day was amazing. The location is super convenient too: just a short Uber ride to Old San Juan and an easy scooter ride over to La Placita de Santurce, so it was really easy to explore. The hotel also provides beach chairs and umbrellas, which made beach days effortless and relaxing. Overall, perfect mix of location, views, and convenience. Would definitely stay here again!

The comfort in the bathroom horrible, not furniture for brush, etc. , not hangers for the clothes , only one night stand near the bed . The TV not work and the solution was after 3 days to move to another room

the windows wouldn't open, they put us over the bar so all heard was loud music until after 11pm. The room was small, definitley not like the pictures, just a mini fridge that was missing parts, no parking anywhere close by unless you paid money per day.

Terrible experience - would not recommend. Woke up at 5am to rainwater flooding in through the AC. Went to front desk who said that they could do nothing except give us towels. The water filled a trash can 4 times over and we had to keep emptying it. A handyman eventually came at 1pm. When we reported this issue twice to two separate managers, both were rude and dismissive and neither even said sorry to us for the inconvenience. Having paid so much money I would really have expected much better facilities and service. A terrible way to treat your customers. To top it off we found an old sandwich in the fridge left over from the previous customers in the room.

The location is very good, especially if you’re interested in being right on the beach in what tends to be the more gay area. Some of the staff were very friendly. It’s also great to have the complementary chair service right there on the beach.

The accommodations were comfortable, but it is very basic and not super clean. If you go for an ocean view, be prepared for the windows to not really be very clear. It was a little frustrating that I couldn’t have coffee in the beanbag chairs next to the restaurant in the mornings, even though I was the only one around those were reserved for restaurant guests only so there isn’t really anywhere in the hotel lobby to sit and get sun. There’s also a major construction project next-door.

The room were small and the tv didn’t work when it rain and it was small storm. we didn’t have anything to watch on tv.

Rooms are not a big size, wardrobe is literally 15 inch that you can hang not more then three shirts, all our stuff remained in our luggage. Bathroom is very small, no place to leave your personal items. Windows do not open. TV has no channels, service did only replace towels! Not the best experience.

We have booked this hotel 3 times. Really like the location. The rooms have improved.

The Tryst canceled our reservations for 5 rooms we had booked 9 months earlier even though we had been charged for the rooms a week earlier. They had called us to confirm we were coming a few times. They told us there was a big festival in town. The morning we were coming, boarding the airplane we received an email saying they canceled our reservation. We tried calling them with no answer. We called booking.com with no help as well. We went online and were able to rebook the same rooms for $2200 more. When we arrived they they were rude at first. Then gave us the less expensive price.

Great view from their bar/restaurant. Staff were very friendly and personable. Hotel was under some renovation but it was making improvements and you can see a lot of pride is being put into this place.

The food was decent, a little different, but good presentation. They upgraded our room to a 3 bedroom suite.. totally unnecessary but I think they were overbooked. I would stay again- it was a fun place.

La ubicación es fantastica cerca de la playa y restaurantes y vida nocturna. A escasos minutos del viejo San Juan. La atención es maravillosa ! Angel en la recepción nos ayudo y fue muy amable al sugerirnos lugares para comer y visitar por toda la isla. La comida del restaurante del hotel es increíble !

Todo estuvo perfecto

La ubicación del hotel es maravillosa frente al mar. El tamaño de la habitación es algo pequeña pero funcional para una pareja. Es un hotel definitivamente solo para adultos. La atención que recibimos fue de primera, especialmente en el front desk que estaba Angel quien nos ayudo con todo lo relacionado con nuestro viaje, nos dio recomendaciones fue muy gentil !!! Volveremos definitivamente !

Dishonest. Charged my card $150 stated it would be refunded after checkout and never was. Reached out multiple times with no response. Food menu that’s given daily has items that is only for specific days. Breakfast was disgusting. Rooms were small, no ventilation in bathroom floors was always wet after taking a shower in room and bathroom. Pictures listed are not the rooms. Penthouse is not available to rent but it has photos on website very deceiving. Also, area with white chairs is off limits but in the photos. Men snorting drugs outside the hotel. A worker came over I thought to make them leave they shook hands and he kept it moving smh.

Willie Angel and Fabric were over the top with help and being gracious. Great food and drinks and great service. Even the beach staff were great.

I would like to have my deposit of 150 US returned to me.

That I checked out since December 20 and I am still waiting for my security deposit to arrive in my bank account.

Location on beach is excellent. Ocean is warm and pleasant, though at times a bit rough. Most gay bars are easily accessible from the hotel, either walking or a quick uber ride. Beach service, loungers, umbrella, towels, tables, and bottles of water are included and excellent. The beach restaurant has decent food, excellent drinks and professional service. Sunday drag brunch is not to be missed, it was super fun. Rooms are basic but workable, view is beautiful.

Only issue we encountered was hot water in showers was not always available at peak times.

I loved that the staff were welcoming and friendly. We were welcomed by the Hotel manager at our room with a complimentary Holiday drink. My favorite two people were Angel at the front desk and the bartender, Richie. They were both so very nice, attentive and accommodating.

Our toilet kept clogging and it took a while for someone to come and unclog it just to turn around and have it clog again.

1. The rooms and the bathrooms are small opposed to what they advertise online. 2. The hotel is for gay couples and that’s all you see walking around the hotel and on the beach. We felt very uncomfortable as a result of not knowing that prior to booking. 3. The waitresses were very racist. If you are black they treat you as if you’re “broke” and undeserving of the same treatment and privileges as they would treat other cultures including their own. 4. Angel at the front desk, I must admit was one of the only employees that we felt like made us feel great about our stay. He has a beautiful spirit inside and out! 5. The guys who bring out the beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach, walked up to us and said, we hate to break you the bad news but these chairs are only for hotel desks. (Again, the racial profiling is insane). Meanwhile, we booked 2 separate rooms during our stay). Unfortunately, after we explained to the guys we were guest, and showed them our room keys they never apologized and took forever assisting us with getting the additional beach chairs and umbrellas we requested. 6. They really need to incorporate “arm bands” for their hotel guests to prevent such behaviors from happening again.

The music went on from 9am to 11pm - very loud in my room. I booked an ocean front room and could not believe the window did not open - no surf sounds. The area had no beach bars or restaurants.

Sehr gute Lage und direkt am Strand. Das Personal war sehr nett und es gab ein Dragbrunch am morgen. Das Bett war sehr bequem und das Zimmer sauber.

Das Zimmer war einwenig klein, anstensten ein tolles Hotel :)
