돈은 아끼고싶은데 잠귀가 매우 어둡고 공사장 옆에서도 자는 분들께 추천! 목조 건물에 오래된 철제방화문의 조합으로 방음 수준0%. 다른 지역 하카하우스 포함해서 뉴질랜드 호스텔 여러 곳 묵었지만 이 곳이 👍 투숙객들이 화장실과 주방을 이용하려고 문을 여닫을 때마다 건물이 흔들린다. 그나마 비수기라 이용객이 별로 없었음에도 주말 아침 저녁으로는 10분에 한 번씩 건물 전체를 울리는 쾅쾅 소리에 잘 수 가 없었다. 문을 잡아주는 댐퍼가 시간이 지나면서 느슨해져 생긴 문제인듯 한데...시설물 관리가 안되는 듯 마지막으로 층간소음 발 쿵쿵 소리까지 완벽하다.

Very tiny room, toilet/shower was outside not attached to rooms. room carpet was smelly, too many people.

Very big hostel with different communal areas and facilities, always very clean. The beds have curtains, plugs and places for your personal items, something that is not for granted in many hostels. The staff is truly exceptional and friendly :)

I had an amazing stay at this property. The location is perfect, as it is within a few minutes' walk from the CBD. Inside, rooms, kitchen, and toilet are very clean and organized. On top of that, the staff (Jocy Jäschke and Desemmé Jone) were friendly, polite, and helpful. It's an ideal place to stay for short-term as well as long-term in Christchurch, offering great hospitality at a reasonable price.

Cozy room, good common spaces, easy check-in

Walls a bit thin, inconsiderate people in the hostel kept letting the door slam when passing through in the early hours of the morning, which interrupted our sleep a number of times.

Incredible location, comfy beds, great value for money.

当日昼頃に火災報知器？がなったことと、2泊したけれども、2日の夕方からカードキーが使えなくなった。フロントにも誰もいなく困った。少ししてからスタッフが戻ってきてくれたので解決した。その時のスタッフはとても親切だった。

The cleaning was impeccable, the beds and even pillows were very comfortable, plenty of heating on very cold nights and staff were nice. Also nice and central.

No lifts if you have a bit of baggage. A bit noisy if roadside.

Really well looked after, enough social space for how many people are there. Facilities were kept clean and tidy. Rooms are clean and well thought about. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating! Comfy bed, privacy curtains, good facilities. Really good common spaces. Favourite space was definitely the front sitting room. Clean kitchen with an extensive amount of cooking utensils to go round.

The layout is a bit confusing at first, there were some loud strange noises on L2 like furniture dragging on the ground in the middle of the night, a bit cold because there was no where to plug in the room heater

Maybe it is just my bad luck, but I got bed in room on the fist floor, during the night there was constant noise coming through window (probably from conditioner). It wasn`t loud but low frequency, non-stop, even when windows are closed; so I ended up having 0 sleep. Also, when I came in earlier to drop off my bags before check-in (as agreed via messages) guy at the desk was giving weird answers - he wasn`t sure whether there is a space for my bag - kept looking at storage room and saying that there might be, might not be space for my bag until I managed myself to organize the bags in storage room (everything fit!). Also, when I asked whether check-in time is at 2pm or should I come later, he wasn`t sure. Maybe just someone in training. However when I came back - other lady at the desk was super kind.

We booked a private en suite room to be with younger members of the family who were in a bunk room. Excellent facilities, very helpful staff, and great location opposite Christchurch Arts Centre and a short walk to lots of bars and restaurants. It’s a hostel so doesn’t have all the facilities of a hotel. I would stay here again.

The bed mattress was comfortable - pity it was too noisy to be able to sleep.

The noise from the 24hr laundry room!!! Oh my god. I paid more money for a twin room and got more noise than I bargained for. Mt twin room attached to the 24 hour laundry room with people coming and going, slamming the washer and dryer doors - the noise from the floor boards. This was extremely disappointing. I am emotionally drained as I was here for a funeral of a close family member and I was unable to sleep during the nights I stayed. Seriously, at the end of the day accommodation has one job: a place where you can sleep, this completely failed in this area. I can't wait to get home so I can get some sleep.

Great location. Staff and facilities fine.

Room and facilities not as in photos on website. Twin room was outside with toilet separate also outside. The pool table had a ripped cloth making it unplayable and the pictured sofas in the communal area aren't there.

Good location. Bot far away from the centre. Easy to walk to.

There were missing signs such as how to separate trash. Someone also told me there are some issues like dripping from the ceiling that is known by the stuff but nothing has been done against it (such as a warning sign).

Shared facilities like the kitchen and bathroom were very clean.

We booked a Twin Room which showed a bunk bed in the photos but our actual room had two single beds side by side, making it extremely tight for space and there was little space to put our suitcases.

I stayed for 5 nights in a 2-bed dorm. The house had heating, I never went cold! Facilities were cleaned regularly, the kitchen was fully-equipped. Location was great, walking distance to everything! The staff were lovely. On my last night I felt unsafe with my new roommate and they didn't hesitate to move me to another room. Definitely was my home base for my visit to CHC.

Nothing to note, but probably like every other place - the walls are thinner. But during my stay everyone was considerate of the quiet hours.
