Reviewed Sep 2, 2026The staff are wonderful. We needed to drop off a large ski bag the day before check in, and it wasn’t a problem to do so, really appreciate it. The location is awesome, short walk to pubs, restaurants etc. The rooms are clean and comfortable, excellent place to stay 😄

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Very convenient location, just a 3–5 minute walk to the town centre. The room was spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen, and a washer and dryer were provided, along with washing powder. The bathroom even had a bathtub with a jacuzzi function, which was a lovely bonus!
There was some dust and hair here and there, so the cleanliness could be improved.

1 bathroom for 5 people was a bit hard. Anyone staying on the 2nd floor of the loft would have to downstairs to use the bathroom. Honestly for around the same price point, I could have gotten a nice airbnb that would have met my needs. Nothing wrong with the unit, but maybe I would stay in an airbnb next time instead.

Spectacular location - easy walking distance to the shops/lakefront & quick drive to nearby hikes. The room was super spacious & clean. The bed was very comfy. Reviewed Apr 8, 2026Absolutely beautiful. We had a one bedroom unit upstairs and the unit was lovely and the view was too. A short walk to town. The grounds were well kept and the brook outside was lovely. A little pricey but we stayed over Easter to attend the Warbirds air show so everything in Wanaka was pricey. Give yourself a treat if going to Wanaka and stay here as its well worth the price.

Reviewed Apr 4, 2026We picked this hotel mainly for location and it didn't disappoint in terms of being able to walk everywhere we wanted to in town. The hotel room itself was quite large. We also appreciated the laundry in the room (washer and dryer) plus other amenities like a drying rack. It had more than the normal kitchen supplies in the room, too, including a rice cooker, which I have never seen in a hotel before. We especially liked the vaulted ceilings on the second floor room. While we only stayed one night, we felt like we could have stayed comfortably for several more. The internet was sufficiently fast and the bed was comfortable. The only potential (and temporary) dowside was the construction right outside on a neighboring property. It wasn't loud, but didn't make us want to sit outside on our balcony, either. While we didn't need them, there are also bike and ski lockers.

Unfortunately, the Queen bed was very uncomfortable, it was like sleeping on a hard piece of wood. The shower was over a spa bath, very hard to get in and out, far too high.

Reviewed Mar 19, 2026It is clean and spacious with ample room, in the room and outside, to relax. It is well located, only a few blocks back from the lake and the centre of town. Beds were comfortable.
The shower is over a deep bath tub and without a shower curtain. Very slippery and hazardous. The building sight next door was annoying - but hopefully temporary. The main issue is the cost which is outrageous for a Motel. Maybe that’s the deal with Wanaka but it is over the top.

Reviewed Mar 16, 2026Amazing experience. We were met at reception by a very friendly lady who advised us of all the places to eat and visit. The apartment was very clean with all the amenities you could think of. Bed was large and comfortable. Shower was large with good pressure. Location was great with a food truck area just around the corner. There was also a nice balcony overlooking a stream out the back. That was a nice touch.
The only thing I can fault is the placement of the toilet/sink. It felt like when I sat on the toilet the sink was right on top of me with not much room to manoeuvre. But it’s a very small issue in the grand scheme of things.

Check in was great, very friendly receptionist who was polite and knowledgeable.
Would of loved a ensuite upstairs in the main bedroom, was a bit tedious walking up and down the stairs to go to the loo.
