j’ai passé un séjour absolument exceptionnel dans cet hôtel ! Tout était réuni pour passer un moment inoubliable. Le personnel est tout simplement génial. J’ai eu la chance de venir en basse saison, ce qui a rendu le séjour encore plus agréable et reposant. La plupart des membres de l’équipe étaient vraiment disponibles, souriants et attentionnés. Je vous aime❤️ Je tiens particulièrement à remercier Aff (A-F-F), qui était à l’accueil. Il est tout simplement exceptionnel : d’un grand professionnalisme, extrêmement gentil, disponible et toujours prêt à rendre service. Une personne que j’ai vraiment beaucoup appréciée et qui a largement contribué à la qualité de mon séjour. J’ai également beaucoup aimé le concept réservé aux adultes. Ce n’est évidemment pas que je n’aime pas les enfants 😊, mais le fait de pouvoir profiter d’un environnement calme et paisible, sans bruit, est vraiment très agréable. Je trouve ce concept particulièrement bien pensé. Et je ne peux pas oublier de parler de la nourriture ! Elle est vraiment très, très bonne. Mention spéciale au petit déjeuner, qui est véritablement un petit déjeuner de roi 👑. On a la possibilité de choisir tout ce que l’on souhaite et tout était délicieux. J’ai vraiment adoré ! Bref, vous l’aurez compris : je recommande cet hôtel à 100 % et j’y reviendrai sans la moindre hésitation. D’ailleurs, je suis déjà en train de regarder pour préparer mon prochain voyage… C’est dire ! 😍 Un immense merci à toute l’équipe pour ce séjour exceptionnel. À très bientôt, je l’espère !

The staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. The sea view is beautiful and is probably the strongest feature of this property. We appreciate the effort of the team, as they were always polite and welcoming.

Unfortunately, the hotel was a major disappointment. The property feels old, worn out, and in urgent need of renovation. Our room showed clear signs of age, including damaged corners, worn furniture, and mold around the air-conditioning vents. While the photos look attractive online, the reality was very different. We travel frequently and usually stay in quality hotels throughout Thailand, but this was one of the few places where we decided to move to another hotel immediately after checking in. We only left our luggage there because our reservation was non-refundable. This review is not about money we did not even request a refund. The issue was simply that the overall condition of the property did not meet our expectations and did not reflect the rating we saw online.

Everything, staff amazing, food especially Breakfast included in the price. Location, the view lots of parking for both our cars!

I imagine due to low season the room hadn’t been used for a while which meant that the hot tub wasn’t clean and all the water lines smelt of sewage when used. Other than the guy on reception who was super helpful, we seemed very much an inconvenience to the rest of the staff. We asked for a toastie on the first day at 4pm, took over 90 minutes to come, and only when I asked them to cancel it so we could instead go for dinner, they said ‘1 minute’ and proceeded to bring out a cold toastie that has clearly been sitting on the side. We also asked for cocktails and they asked us to delay these for over an hour as they didn’t have the staff to make them. We just thought this was a few teething issues, but due to a late lunch we took a ride around town to have a look at the island in which a lot of the restaurants were under maintenance due to low season, by the time we got back at 8.50pm (last orders were meant to be at 9.30 and restaurant shuts at 10) the staff were closing the restaurant over an hour early, told us they had sent the chef home and shut the doors on us. We had to have a 7-eleven dinner on our first night in Koh Lanta, and this was our honeymoon trip!

Das liebenswerte Personal fällt mir als wichtigster Punkt ein. Das Wahnsinns Frühstück nicht zu vergessen 🥳. A la Carte was man wünscht und Buffett mit Früchten und Thailändischen Sweets. Die Betten schön weich. Nicht so bretthart wie sonst in Thailand. Von allen Zimmern ein schöner Meerblick .

Eigentlich gibt es nicht viel zu kritisieren. Mir war es ein wenig zu laut. Der Strassenlärm ist gut zu hören und auch die Nachbarn wenn sie die halbe Nacht Stühle im Zimmer rumschieben . Oder die Türen knallen. Aber dafür kann das Hotel nichts . Im Pool war zu viel Chlor. Einmal rein gehen reichte uns deshalb.

Absolutely beatifull, calming and relaxing hotel with amazing staff. My room and the whole place is so beautifull, spotlessly clean, calm and quiet. Had the privilege suite and I’m almost speechless at beauty of the room and the view from it. Soaking on the jacuzzi, watching sunset and listening to the waves crashing on the shore was so relaxing and soothing my soul. Really good wifi and the pool is lovely and one of a kind. Breakfast the best, made by order. Ate all my meals at Red Alert restaurant and everything was so delicious. And as a bonus, got to enjoy breakfast watching cute monkeys playing around. This was unforgettable and just incredibly wonderful experience. Thank You The Houben and all You lovely people here. If possible, I would give 11/10 to this hotel. Highly recommended!

Friendly staff, great location

Staff super friendly..cant do enough for you especially. Breakfast staff amazing! Good choice of food at breakfast...we didnt eat at the restaurant. Located near a gorgeous beach and lovely places to eat. Room was huge....whirlpool bath isrd twice...although takes about 15 minutes to fill lol. Took moped out for day...hired from lady across the road who also sorted out our laundry for us. Really easy to drive around tbe island....little traffic. Beaches super quiet...just a gorgeous relaxing island.

Shower luke warm...not like bath. Does need updating but minor issue. There are a lot of steps of there are people who are physically challenged.

Geweldig mooi verblijf met echt DROOM-bedden. Wat hebben we hier heerlijk geslapen met een prachtig uitzicht ook nog. Personeel super vriendelijk. De airco lekte in de badkamer boven het toilet, na melden kregen we een kamerupgrade met een nog mooier uitzicht en twee cocktails. Echt topservice. Ontbijt erg lekker. Ik zou hier zéker terugkomen!

Er hing een gek geurtje in de badkamer, vermoedelijk vanuit de jacuzzi omdat deze niet vaak gebruikt wordt. Dus het stilstaande water gaat dan een beetje gek ruiken.

I loved the location, its walkable to a lot of place close to kanting bay and the fact it's a boutique hotel. Feels almost private most of the time! Great bed and the most amazing view! The pool was super fun and happy hour is a must. The staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming. The hot tub is super nice as well.

We didn't notice there's no toilet door haha. It took some time to adjust.

Staff are so lovely it feels like you are part of a family! They were so kind to us and especially to me on my birthday. Sunsets are incredible and we loved the boutiquey feel around the lovely pool. Fabulous breakfast. Extremely comfortable and spacious rooms. Highly recommend. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

The staff, the view and the atmosphere - it was so serene! Fantastic location and in walking distance to the restaurants and beach (around a 5 minute walk). It’s so quiet, so if you’re looking for a getaway where you feel you’re very secluded, then this is a dream! The breakfast was the best we had whilst in Thailand. We will most definitely be back. Thank you to all of the staff for the most incredible stay, you’re all a credit to this place.

We hadden een prachtige. Zeer grote kamer en badkamer. Een geweldig lekker ontbijt. Het zwembad was zeer aangenaam met een mooi uitzicht over de zee.

Einige Kleinigkeiten müssten mal wieder repariert oder gepflegt werden (Türen, Einrichtung, Whirlpool, Dusche). Uns hat das aber nicht groß gestört. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer könnte etwas leiser sein. Wenn man darauf achtet, dann hört man die vielbefahrene Straße.

Large very clean room with plenty of storage so never felt cluttered. Lovely furniture on the balcony, which was also large with a drying rack which was handy for swimwear/underwear etc. We were on the top floor 302 and had a beautiful sunset view although it could get hot from about 3.30/5. Cleaning was done daily and towels refreshed daily too, you could decide when you wanted your bedding changed. Lots of free water and good quality toiletries including shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/hand soap and lots of other things too. We had a large shower and a bathtub and the water pressure was good. The fridge was handy for storing cold drinks. All of the staff were friendly and efficient. 5 minutes to a lovely beach and plenty of parking.

Breakfast was a little hit and miss, and sometimes a bit cold. poor lighting in the bathroom, lots of steps, this hotel would be hard for anyone with mobility issues. Please ask guests to wear a top when eating breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and nice to look at. We enjoyed our large room, balcony view of the sunset and the hotel pool was very nice to swim in.

It felt quite remote. Other than the lovely hotel, there wasn't a lot to do in the area. There was one great beach bar. It may have been worth a taxi ride to visit some other nearby areas.

The place was stunning, the staff ,breakfast and rooms were all first rate .the beach is only 5 minutes walk and you will struggle to find a nicer beach ,I would definitely recommend staying at the houben.

Nagyon kedves volt a személyzet, nászutunkra díszítést is kaptunk a szobánkba. Szép nagy volt a szobánk, jól felszerelt. A medence szuper, itt végre nem jéghideg víz volt benne, jazzuzi része a medencének szintén szuper. Finomak voltak az ételek a hotelben. Nagyon közel volt a part, ami elég csendes volt.😊

Voltak szépséghibái a szállásnak, pláne a szobában a hidromasszázskádnak, egyszer használtuk, mert kb. 45 percbe telt mire lett annyi víz benne, hogy használható legyen. A zuhanyzóban sem volt jó a nyomás és fürdés közben néha hideget, néha meleget adott. Az ágy számunkra kényelmetlen volt, túl puha volt.

An amazing adult only boutique hotel on the cliff with a beautiful sunset view. Attentive and friendly staff who can sort anything for you. Great food and cocktail menu with a vast selection of good wines. A cool pool area which is perfect for relaxing. Lovely gifts for staying Christmas and New year and a bottle of fizz! A very short walk to some awesome food venues, bars and stunning beaches. Highly recommend Phad Thai- Rock n Roll. Himalaya restaurant. Chill n grill house. Aqua bar for the BEST cocktail!

Perhaps a couple more comfortable seating areas to relax and sit in rather than just the one smoking area.

This hotel is a gem. It sits on top of a cliff overlooking the water, with a killer pool and yummy breakfast. This is an adult only spot! There are comfortable lounge chairs, the rooms are large, spacious and well appointed. It was nice to have a place in the room to workout as well considering there is no gym.

I would have enjoyed some upbeat music by the pool or a little spicier happy hour to get guests chatting with each other and hanging out at sunset.

Nothing to dislike

We don’t have anything bad to stay about our stay at The Houben. Everything was great. The smooth check-in and out, location, food, cocktails, views and the staff our exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. We loved the breakfast choices and having the food cooked to order. The cocktails are great too. The hotel arranged a taxi for us to visit the National Park. The hotel location is great. Lots of places to eat nearby and lovely beach all within a few minutes walk. We had 3 nights, but could have easily stayed longer.

The room was a bit tired, but felt a true representation of the photos and was what we expected.

It rained but that wasn’t the property’s fault!

Everything. The room, the views, the attention to detail. I contacted them cause it was my girlfriend's birthday and they had everything ready. The room decorated with a happy birthday on the bed. Later they came with a small cake for her without asking for it. They were absolutely amazing. Thanks a lot for making the day so special for her.

Tout absolument tout !!! Calme, alors la vue juste magique, le personnel au petit soin bref je recommande vivement cet hôtel à tous ceux qui veulent passer un bon moment calme, serein, agréable, jacuzzi dans la piscine, jacuzzi dans la chambre.

Amazing boutique hotel. Great location and professional staff. Our suite was great with stunning views from our terrace or by the swimming pool.

Breakfast a bit limited (no viennoiseries for a European tourists hotel) but the food was good. Fitness room is just an empty local so if you plan to workout you may be disappointed.

הצוות פשוט נפלא! גם בקבלה ובמיוחד במסעדה! נוף מושלם מהחדר ומהבריכה. מיקום יחסית מרכזי לדרום האי, הרבה מסעדות וחופים יפים במרחק הליכה.

המלון לא מתוחזק מספיק טוב- בחדר האמבטיה היה ריח חזק מאוד של עובש, בחדר כושר הציוד חלוד ומרגיש כאילו לא דואגים לנקות אותו על בסיס קבוע.

The Houben was a super relaxing and chilled stay. We were rather unwell when we arrived and the staff took great care of us. It was an extremely comfortable and luxurious hotel and we would love to return. It was a short walk to the beach and some restaurants so you had everything you needed.

It was a shame that there was no spa, currently it is being built.
