Great Location. Best Hampton Inn we have ever stayed at. Very clean and friendly staff. We were able to check in early (mid-week), easy access to parking garage and $25/night was a lot more reasonable then the $48 for Milwaukee, and the room/hotel was in excellent condition. I would highly recommend this location. We had no issues at all.

The town of Madison allows construction crews to begin at 6am, adjacent to the hotel. Hampton has no control over this.

There is a lot of high rise construction going on around the hotel but that will eventually go away as a traffic problem

We were upgraded for our 23rd wedding anniversary! It was a wonderful surprise. And we received a bottle of wine. What a wonderful way to make us feel special! Staff was so kind and so attentive.

We came to Madison for a Trek cycling event nearby and always stay at this hotel. Everyone is very friendly and the rooms are very spacious. Although not a luxurious hotel, the value is great. We've stayed here more than a dozen times and have always had a great experience each time. The bar/restaurant located at street level is probably a separate company not associated with the hotel but makes it very convenient for a meal or drinks. Everything is very clean throughout rooms and public areas.

Excellent staff — welcoming, responsive, cheerfully and capably supplied requested information as needed. Hot tea water was always available — Thanks! (we tea drinkers are often overlooked). My room was clean, spacious and in excellent condition; very pleasant to return to after a long day.

In contrast to the rest of my experience at the hotel, breakfast was a huge disappointment. I had looked forward to the convenience of breakfast in the hotel, and it had influenced my choice of hotel. Here's what I found: a limited selection of highly processed cereal. Tiny cups of yogurt so full of preservatives and additives I would not consider eating it. (Yogurt consists of pasteurized milk and active cultures, with perhaps some fruit and sweetener. Read the lengthy list of ingredients — your "yogurt" is a chemist's concoction, not a healthy breakfast offering. This is the Dairy State; surely you can do better!) A desultory tepid presentation of limp little "Western omelettes", mystery sausage patties and tired looking potatoes. Tiny highly processed pastries. I had some orange juice and went elsewhere. You can easily do better! Much as I enjoyed the rest of my experience, I would hesitate to recommend the hotel based on the poor quality of the breakfast offerings.

The King suite with a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, allows for total relaxation after a busy day or relaxation to prepare for a busy day. The breakfast options are wonderful and the dark roast coffee is a real “eye opener!” The location of the hotel is perfect for walking around the downtown area and, if you’re up to it, a stroll to the Capitol building is a nice distance.

Friendly staff, Complimentary breakfast was great, room was clean and parking attached to hotel and reasonably priced...location was excellent. Close to restaurants, shopping and walking distance to the kohl center.

The location is amazing! In walking distance to the capitol and good restaurants around it. Less than 5 min to the nightlife area as well.

albergo situato in posizione molto favorevole per raggiungere sia il centro sia l'università in poco tempo, sia a piedi sia in autobus. staff cordiale e disponibile, colazione a buffet con orari comodi. reception h24 molto utile. camera grande e spaziosa.

colazione con scarsa varietà e attenzione ad intolleranze o allergie. il letto un po' scomodo, i cuscini si schiacciavano subito, con due stavo troppo alta e con uno era come non averlo. la mia camera era molto vicina agli ascensori, perciò sentivo molti rumori. anche l'isolamento acustico dalla strada non ottimale.

I had a great stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Madison Downtown. The location is excellent—right in the heart of downtown and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the Capitol. It made getting around the city incredibly convenient. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a cozy bed and modern amenities. Everything felt well-maintained, and the quiet atmosphere made it easy to relax after a long day. The staff was friendly and professional from check-in to check-out, always willing to help with directions or recommendations. Breakfast was a nice bonus, with a good variety of fresh options to start the day. Overall, this hotel offers great value, comfort, and an unbeatable location. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Madison.
