Chateau Saint John Trademark Collection by Wyndham

Comfortable, very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast

Beautiful hotel, most staff were fantastic. Took forever to checkout.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property.

Breakfast staff was very friendly, reception staff was perfectly helpful both in registration and in house services-bar service

Breakfast great and very friendly staff. Very nice room.

The night before we paid basically the same price for an old motel so we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty and comfort here.

NOTHING.

From the start the staff was so welcoming and helpful. Our room was so clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

We liked everything.

Large rooms. Underground parking was a bonus as we had our road bikes on a hitch behind the van.

The location was very convenient - really just about a 10-15 walk downtown. The breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of food choices. The hot-food station server was welcoming and genuinely seemed to enjoy her interactions with hotel guests. The specialty coffee bar was also wonderful.

Clean, good location and friendly staff.

sehr freundlicher Empfang großes Zimmer einladendes Hallenbad plus Whirlpool

Clean. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast

Location is a bit challenging for walking to restaurant options but we managed.

Staff very helpful. Large room. Great brekky

Beautiful hotel, comfortable beds, good breakfast.

Nothing

Location was perfect for catching the early morning ferry to Digby. The staff gave us a great recommendation for a dinner restaurant, one of the best on our 2 week trip. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was available early in the morning which was very helpful. Parking was easy.

Lovely staff and great location

A proper bar and restaurant would have been good

Very comfortable, clean, staff very accommodating

Tous était excellent

Pas de restaurant à proximité

No bathroom fan and no body soap in room

All good

It was a great stay, beautiful building, very clean and comfortable, great breakfast

Wasn't much to dislike , all was great

Schneller Checkin, große, komfortable Zimmer, gute Betten.

Clean. Close to park

Breakfast wasn’t up to expectations based on other reviews

Hotel easy to locate, right off highway...parking on-site...room spacious...everything OK except the room air conditioner was a bit tricky to adjust. Quiet at night, we only heard one loud guest...it helped that we were far from the elevator.

The cold breakfast on offer was a little disappointing, at the same time a very friendly staff person did her best to satisfy everyone wanting a hot breakfast. I had the former, my wife the latter. We walked downtown (the locals call it Uptown) to find our chosen restaurant for dinner...walking is not easy, as there are not continuous sidewalks and a lot of traffic. We did not see any other pedestrians foolish eneough to walk from the hotel downtown and back...in other words, take your vehicle!

Beautiful room close to amenities

Nice room but there was an odour like old rugs or something

This hotel was a wonderful option. The included breakfast and parking were perfect additions and helpful with our travels. Easily one of the best hotels we used during a trip to the East Coast

FRONT DESK STAFF were welcoming and professional

Wifi coverage was spotty

Very friendly staff and good service

It was not located near the city centre as indicated

Our room was much larger than expected. It was nice and quiet for sleeping. Breakfast was good and service was an added bonus. Parking was easy.

Its not that I didn't like it but the only thing I can say is it is an older property. But it wouldn't stop me from staying there again.

The staff were wonderful, the beds were comfortable and the under ground parking was excellent..would definitely stay there again

Nothing I can think of.

The hot breakfast was great and the choice of coffees was a pleasant surprise. Unusual to have a latte or a cappuccino at a free breakfast.

We felt at home from the moment we checked in. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were given a beautiful, spacious room. Breakfast was also excellent.

Absolutely no gripes at all.

Great location near highway and restaurants.

Room was spacious and bed very comfortable.

Very quiet and comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff.

Wish it was a little closer to downtown

Staff was great, clean. Comfy beds

The area is not the best

I enjoy the Chateau properties. They are consistent in what they offer and the breakfast is always great.

Nope

Too old not worth it

Mal ein Hotel wo alles funktioniert

Tolles Frühstück

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Comfortable lobby and fantastic breakfast and lounge.

Nothing!

No restaurants close by.

Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast Proximity to the ferry

No restaurant

Everything

Breakfast was great. Staff was friendly. Appreciated the gluten free options for bread.

Staff was great, was a little overpriced but all in all we’ve enjoyed our stay

Rooms were very clean and spacious.

Excellent breakfast and service staff.

Carpets needs a cleaning

A nice hotel, a short drive from the city center. A nice big room and a nice breakfast,

Not enough amenities in the bathroom

Sehr freundliches Personal (vor allem beim Frühstück), Genügend Parkplätze vorhanden. Zimmer gut ausgestattet mit aller notwendiger Infrastruktrur. Hotel behindertengerecht.

Great breakfast and the person serving the breakfast was really friendly!

I asked for a cot for my daughter and did not get one

The hotel was easy to find. There is ample parking. The front desk staff was very helpful to explain the parking and ordering food for delivery from nearby restaurants. The breakfast was great with multiple options to order and gourmet coffee, free of charge.

The AC is noisy. The shower does not have a rubber anti-slippery mat. I almost slipped and hurt myself.

It Has that old charm. Staffs were nice. Especially, the breakfast ladies were amazing handling the morning crowd for 4 hours non stop. The lady at the station was kind all the the time. She mentioned that it is an art of practice to be patient.

Bathroom toiletries were out. And no exhaust. Looks old facility but different charm.

We stayed there for 2 nights it location was very good, the room was very comfortable and has a great complimentary breakfast and good service. I would recommend staying there

La qualité,propreté et le déjeuner.

L'emplacement.

We have stayed here several times. Always pleased to see the same cheerful staff, especially the breakfast team. Indoor heated garage was a bonus. No hesitancy in recommending to others. Many restaurants just a moderate walk/short drive away.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The quality of the breakfast is so-so. One strange thing is that the eggs and bacon are served by a staff member rather than being self-service. I didn’t see anyone go back for seconds. I guess they don’t want us to eat too much! 😄

LOCATION

Location was good, close to downtown and highway to get around to the various sites. Staff were great, the staff serving the breakfast were exceptional; friendly and very accommodating. The guest room was very clean and spacious. Onsite parking was good and even had an indoor parking option.

The hotel guest room was a little outdated for my liking and the carpet needed refreshing.

Propreté ainsi que la qualité versus prix

Nice rooms, excellent staff

All was good

Clean rooms, comfy beds, good parking, friendly and accommodating staff, hot coffee 24-7. Good breakfast. Overall, good stay. We took advantage of the early Spring Sale for the 25% discount.

Niets

The Hotel is so centrally located, a feature which made walking or driving to key destinations so stress free! Saint John is a historically significant and presently so economically important for the whole country! It’s an up and coming maritime portal location which has done a great job preserving its architectural beauty!

The Reversing Falls tourist area, as wonderful as presently is has tremendous potential for development without destroying the natural beauty and geological marvel that the clash between the Saint John River and the Bay of Fundy Tides so awesomely display at this unique location! Saint John, a diamond in the rough!

This is a nice property and is conveniently located in central Saint John. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the rooms are clean, well maintained and quiet.

We really loved our stay at the Wyndham. It was a good location, convenient to downtown St. John (great restaurants) and very nicely maintained hotel. We utilized the fast EV charger in the parking lot and it was a fair rate. But best of all, they have free self-serv laundry facilities onsite.

We stayed a week during the Canadian Ball Hockey Championship ! Hotel was packed with families and a ton of teenaged ball hockey players!! The staff were excellent, very accomodating, patient and friendly The breakfast lady at the buffett was AMAZINGLY friendly and cordial. I left some items there on my way out for a 5 am flight.. half asleep, I missed some packed items. I called and they assisted me with best way for me to arrange pick up and I got my clothes back!! Stay here again for sure. Rooms were larger then most, Beds, temperature.. all good. And despite the full house at the hotel.. no concerns with noise at all

shit fridge for such a nice hotel breakfast excellent

said it was .6 km from down town more like 1 .2 km

Breakfast was great! This is the first chin that offered a personalized service, and the food was super. Front desk dinner recommendation was excellent. The room checked all the boxes - clean, comfortable and well appointed. The parking was perfect.

Not having the room ready at 3pm check in. Minor issue, but we were tired.

Easy to locate

Clean bed was comfortable

Breakfast was very good! They provided everything we needed.

A bit crowded at peak hours - no table was available at first. We had to sit in their break room

Very nice hotel. Located right off the highway so it’s easy to get to. The rooms are large and well decorated, if you’re looking for a modern hotel look elsewhere otherwise this is beautiful. Breakfast is very good too.

Great hotel with exceptional staff

The underground parking is very tight for a crew cab pickup. Plenty of outdoor parking so no problem for us.

Great location

Breakfast was lovely & so were the staff. Good location.

Needed to request room cleaning after we slept later but cleaning was done then. Water Glasses were dirty when we arrived.

Excellent location

Lovely room helpful staff

No restaurant or proper bar and a bit of way out of the centre

No tea bags in the room, no bathroom personal hygiene items ( for make up removal) . Too hot in the hall and restaurants, not enough room for all guests during breakfast , lack of fruits and vegetables for breakfast.

We stayed twice in two weeks. Our first room was immaculate but our second room had peeling and ripped wallpaper in multiple spots. Otherwise our stay was quiet and the staff were all lovely.

Beautiful hotel. Large, comfortable and clean rooms. Their orange-infused water was very refreshing.

For a hotel that is otherwise grand, the breakfast food and atmosphere was like a Holiday Inn Express. The only difference is the hot food was not self-serve. The dining room is only used for breakfast. It is without air conditioning. The ventilation in the rooms is poor, resulting in some condensation issues.

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast and coffee bar were exceptional. Room was comfortable and quiet. Located near restaurants and sites.

Keine Bodylotion.

The breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and professional. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Overall we had a lovely stay.

Staff were friendly.

La gentillesse du personnel. L'emplacement.

S/O

The hotel was very nice with good size rooms and excellent breakfast

Location. Because of traffic we needed to take cab into downtown even though it was reasonably close
