2 x days out of the 3 day stay, they forgot to clean our room and we had to call reception and make a request for cleaners at midnight. They charge an extra £14 per day for parking, when booking your stay through hotels.com, whilst parking is free if you book your room directly with the hotel !! I guess this is a loophole they have to recover the fees they pay hotels.com. Carpets in the room are old and feel dirty.
Not sure why I made more for the second room as both rooms were exactly the same!!
Excellent size room, Great location and views of Mercedes Benz track. Extremely uncomfortable, aged soft spring mattress. Very uncomfortable and basic pillows. Extremely poor lighting in the room. Almost impossible to properly see anything.
Staff are incredibly helpful and genuine, Hotel condition is exceptional. Breakfast was beautiful! Cannot Recommend highly enough!
Great location and facilities, arrived earlier and then had to pay another £15 to check in early which, considering this is not a budget hotel, I was not happy about. The bed was way too soft. Spa facilities were good
Overall excellent, but I was charged a daily parking fee because it was booked via Expedia and not directly with the hotel. Other minor complaints, had to used the hair dryer outside of the bathroom, it did not have a magnifying mirror or extractor fan in the bathroom, and no media charging plugs.
Spa was lovely, room is spacious and clean
A great hotel but Spa shortcomings. Sun room lamps - only 2/3's working. Unhappy staff at breakfast. Other than that one of the most reliable hotels I frequent
A 24 hour escape in a beautiful hotel and spa. Rooms are luxurious a
Very slow bar service, not enough restaurant availability for hotel guests - we had to find a table at a different restaurant. Desk in the room was broken (drawer front hanging off). Parking very expensive at £14 per night. Better value accommodation available nearby for the price
Lovely staff
Clean, fresh , quiet, spacious , nice view of the track, would recommend and stay again
Arrived at Brooklands hotel there is one receptionist, on the telephone ignoring customers. If reception is busy I would expect two staff on reception. Car parking is not included in price that’s an extra charge, £14 which I would expect in a busy city centre but not an area with next to no public transport and plenty of land for parking. We arrived a bit earlier as the local roads were clearer than expected, I asked if we could check a little earlier 1.5 hrs if our room is ready, I was told your room is ready but we will be adding an extra charge of £15 if you want to get in early. Now I understand the concept of a charge for prebook early check in as housekeeping staff need to rescheduled etc but if your room is ready why add a charge. What happened to good old customer service? Brooklands need to understand they are in the hospitality industry. The room it’s self was a let down our view should have been on the track we got trees in the way it definitely wasn’t as per what the pictures on line indicated Tea and coffee making in the room, there was one cappuccino one hot chocolate there was two guests in our room so if both wanted a hot chocolate or the cappuccino one was unable. It just felt like penny pinching, the room was clean and decor was nice the bed was comfortable but over all the hotel is a let down I refused to use any other facilities after my awful reception experience. I would not recommend staying here stay in a better local hotel
Friendly staff- good food and service in restaurant
Spacious, well maintained, modern place
The hotel was really lovely and very convenient for Mercedes World and the Brooklands museum. I had a trackside bedroom which was brilliant for a Motorsport fan. It would have been nice to have biscuits in the room with the tea/coffee facilities, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of my stay . The shower was very powerful and great! I would definitely stay again!
Parking was £14 per night. 3 guests but only enough cups and supples for 2 but was quickly rectified. Floor on terrace worn and peeling so was difficult not to walk the peeling paint into the room.
Hotel was not clean and staff were not friendly, also charged me £28 for parking for to days when arrived. Spa was £40 each even tho we had paid a high price for the room already. Room wasn’t cleaned while there and when we arrived our room had dust everywhere. I would not recommend staying here, plenty of nicer places to stay for cheaper.
For our needs this was a great hotel: not cheap but clean and a lovely bed. However, despite being set in an open area with lots of empty land around the hotel, we were charged £14 for parking. I understand why hotels do this in city centres but this was unnecessary. The hotel told us that if we'd booked through them, they would waive the charge but as we'd booked through Expedia, the charge applied. Not happy!
Met and exceeded expectations. Easy check-in, lovely big room, very quiet. Comfy bed and pillows. Great shower. Tea and coffee. Nice bar / restaurant, great choice for breakfast. Didn’t use spa so can’t comment on that.
Great location, lots going on, Katie on reception was fantastic, a small mess up on the room was quickly resolved with no fuss,👌
The room was beautiful and spacious
Says sound proof rooms but the noise from the bar was quite bad on second floor. Not ideal with children
Charged twice from Expedia and the propert second time this has happend
Fantastic room and friendly reception. Great breakfast Overpriced bar with inconsistent service charges depending on who was serving! Bar ran out of draught beer - in London!
great
Great for a short break! Especially if you're travelling to Chessington or visiting Mercedes-Benz World over the road
Great hotel - 2nd time we’ve stayed here. Great amenities. Welcoming staff. Good quality breakfast, the new pizzeria restaurant menu is also a nice addition. We stayed in a family room, they are enormous - great to have a second double bed and not a sofa bed. Also proximity to Thorpe Park was handy… Highly recommended!
Had a lovely stay in a family room overlooking the Mercedes race track. Quiet room and a good sized room. Didnt get a chance to use the Spa. Will definitely stay again
Business meetings in Cobham and have stayed before .. very accomodating, easy if you have a car, good quality rooms and very friendly staff .. all works.
it’s one of those properties that were clearly amazing 10/15 years ago, it’s got the sort of feel of what wants to be a W hotel but just isn’t quite in the right places for that magic. but alas the experience just isn’t great for it could be it starts from the nickel and diming approach in incremental fees, much like an airline. But that’s kind of okay for the Premier Inn not so good when you’re claiming to be a four star hotel. Service is so so. It’s okay, but at the price point it seems to charge most days, you’re expecting much better experience. Particularly irritant was parking. The hotel has parking, but it is in the middle of nowhere and there is a literal free car park next door to it but it still insists on charging for car parking. Or if you need to stay half an hour later , they will charge you £20. All legitimate fees and absolutely they are entitled to do so and it’s their business model however a four star luxury hotel, certainly they dis incentivise me spending any money on anything extra. I’d like to do like a spa trip or a nice meal.
Such a lovely welcome from receptionist. Thank you
Really enjoyed the hotel and the spa!
All ok
Excellent hotel right next door to Mercedes World . Every member of staff were friendly and helpful . Restaurant was a bit pricey but breakfast was very good . Was impressed with the gluten free station outside of the main breakfast food area . Good selection of food , well cooked and presented . Room was spacious and clean . Very comfortable apart from being very warm but well inpressed with the hotel and would definitely stay again if we visit Mercedes World
A hotel that we’ve stayed at before. We arrived 45 mins early for check in and they kindly offered to let us check in early for £15. We kindly declined. We mainly went for Mercedes Benz world which was undergoing renovation so a bit disappointing. The room was large and comfortable.
Excellent …. That’s it …
The room was clean and spacious. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. However, the spa wasn’t what I expected. For the price of the room and the amount we spent for a three-night stay, I felt that access to the spa should have been complimentary. It was a bit disappointing considering the overall cost and it wasn’t that great.
Family rooms are huge and have a view of the Mercedes World track which was great entertainment for my car mad family. Ohla on the front desk was great. Paying for parking was annoying. Breakfast was mediocre, though the kids enjoyed the pancake machine. The coffee was terrible and very expensive.
My 3rd visit always a pleasant stay
We decided to stay at the Brooklands Hotel, as we were visiting the Brooklands museum. We had an executive room booked but we weren't impressed with the overly soft mattress, or the poor lighting in the room. The breakfast wasn't great either. The hotel is a good location if visiting Brooklands museum but feel the hotel is overpriced!
We are a family of 4 and had a wonderful stay, rooms were very spacious , will definitely return for a longer stay and make use of the spa and restaurant facilities.
Had to book this hotel last minute and it did not disappoint. We only stayed one night but I could have easily a couple more nights. The rooms are absolute massive!
Very comfortable
Stayed for work and loved my room and breakfast
Only issue we had was where it was windy and staying on floor four you could constantly hear banging all night long but other than that it was good
Staff were polite and attentive, rooms were lovely as was the grounds, the spa was a plus and the spa workers were very hospitable and friendly!
The hotel was clean and the staff were extremely helpful after we had an issue during the evening. The rooms are decently sized and have everything you need for a short stay.
Expensive parking but overall good stay. Kids loved the stay.
Hotel, staff and room were great but unfortunately the mattress seemed too old and was sinking in in the middle and woke up with a back ache. Breakfast service was great.
Decent property, we stayed in the family room and the shower was dirty- all white stains in the shower!!!! Apart from that an OK property.
Brooklands Hotel offers a comfortable stay, but it falls short of high-end expectations. While the design and decor give off a luxurious feel, the rooms are fairly average for the price. The presence of carpet on the floor and noticeable dust in the corners detract from the overall experience. Despite being advertised as featuring a rainfall shower, it turned out to be just a standard one. Housekeeping services, including bed-making, are only offered every second day, which may not suit guests expecting daily upkeep. On a positive note, the hotel’s proximity to attractions like Brooklands racetrack and Mercedes-Benz World adds a unique touch for motorsport enthusiasts. However, if you're seeking an upscale experience, the hotel may not fully meet your expectations. The spa wasn’t relevant for our visit, so we cannot comment on that aspect. In summary, while Brooklands Hotel offers a decent stay with some luxurious touches, there are areas where it could improve, especially given the price point.
Excellent hotel, very posh with lovely staff
Great first impressions and service from Nina who checked us in. The room and view were 10/10 - so spacious and lovely and clean with a special little touch for our anniversary which was very much appreciated. The hotel was conveniently located with Mercedes-Benz World and Brooklands Museum just along the road and we also visited Garsons and Smith & Western which are both close by. The staff in the 1907 Restaurant this morning (29/09) were also great and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay again!
Hotel was great, clean and nice decor. Food very expensive but delicious
First time stay at this hotel, definitely would like to stay again sometime soon. Everything done to a high standard, room was great and very spacious with clean and modern bathrooms. Food was very good although a little pricey for some items.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Brooklands Hotel the staff were very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable 😀 The room was amazing very spacious and beds were so big and comfortable. The only downside was £14 charge for overnight parking! But we would definitely return 👍
Hotel was chosen for its proximity to Mercedes Benz World. We were not disappointed. The room was huge, bed very comfortable and bathroom was an excellent size. Would definitely stay here again.
Good hotel with great spa facilities. Wish I’d booked direct though rather than through Expedia as we’d have got free parking rather than having to register car details and pay for parking.
Very welcoming and great service. Staff all very professional and nothing too much trouble. So well placed to get to London with buses straight to train station right outside. For us a big bonus they take cash. Helps with budgeting. Lots to do on the doorstep too. Would recommend.
Convenient for McLaren, Woking and Mercedes World. We had time to spare so visited Brooklands Museum a short walk away. Restaurant excellent, service very good.
Lovely hotel to stay in . Especially if you are travelling for work. The dinning was excellent from food to the service. Will stay here again. Did not get to use the spa hopefully will do next time.
Great check-in and rooms ready prior to check-in time. Breakfast had a good selection and lots of choice. Spa available to boo for a small extra charge. Staff are all friendly and professional. Highly recommend. Have stayed a number of times at this hotel and I am yet to be disappointed.
Underwhelmed. Extremely large room but nothing special- too expensive for what we got.
Very good. Particularly the staff, very friendly and efficient
When we checked into the hotel, we were assigned a room that was different from what we had booked. I believe this was due to a technical issue rather than human error. After a short while, the hotel resolved the issue and upgraded us to a stunning suite. The lady at the front desk, who I believe was called Niina or something similar, was fantastic and very helpful. This hotel quickly became one of my favorite places to stay, and I have stayed in many hotels. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the restaurant with high-quality food. The breakfast had a wide selection of fresh items, unlike other buffet breakfasts where the food can be dried out. The staff were friendly, and the setting was brilliant, overlooking the track. A bonus was the Mercedes village and Brooklands Museum next door, which both offered plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. Overall, we had a fantastic day and highly recommend this hotel.
Professional and attentive staff will make your day!! ^^
I have stayed at many 4 and 5star hotels and I have never had to make my own bed. When asked why at reception she said it was the eco policy of the hotel, where making a bed and washing up two cups . I would say it’s a great way of saving money
Really nice hotel, staff were really easy to talk to and helpful. Rooms were a great size and good quality items in the rooms.
Everything was great including the view of the racetracks.
Rather underwhelming. Slow check-in. No upgrades, or mention of our "bid" for one (they sent an email earlier in the week saying offer a price for an upgrade) No water in room. Terrible bed, so bouncy was like sleeping on a trampoline. £20 charge for parking. Spa only available if you booked a slot. Good location for visiting Brooklands museum or Mercedes Benz world, but if you're not then there are better hotels in the area.
Enjoying the stay BUT at dinner the starter plates was being picked up as main meal was delivered . Not good The waitress ( on table ) was wonderful in sorting out the issues Also the obsession telling people how long they have the table for is not inviting and would put some off returning . Breakfast was the same but I highlite the service of the staff
Great stay. Shall come again.
Great stay lovely room and food options great. We always stay here when visiting the area
Very helpful and friendly staff. Spacious rooms
It was good. Little disappointed that the room was not cleaned every day. At times the room was hot
Nice hotel. Well priced mid week
Overall we enjoyed our stay. At bit disappointed that when I used my hotels.com voucher it only gave me the option for room whereas if I had booked with Brooklands Hotel directly I could have booked a package. I therefore had to book for two to use the SPA which was the whole point of me booking. The SPA was very busy and I personally felt they let too many people in at once. We booked from 4-7pm but only managed to get into the hot tub at 6.30pm. There are signs saying do not stay for longer than 20 minutes but I'm sure people stayed longer. Maybe they need to introduce a booking system for the hot tub. Great stay but I feel the SPA should be automatically included and not have to be booked seperately! Staff very attentive and professional.
Nina was very pleasant and engaging with our 7 year old she very much made him welcome. Great location for petrol heads that want to go to the museums on site.
Bed was very soft and comfortable
The proximity to Mercedes Benz World was a major attraction for us.
Great place to stay
Lovely hotel and staff
Cindy bed
Very clean, food decent .bit pricey though .
Car parking charges a disgrace
Good
Great hotel and facilities with proximity to Mercedes World, Brooklands Museum which is a must..and to Weybridge. Food is expensive at the hotel - targets the Corporates not the tourists or locals. Thats the only criticism. Rooms were large and very comfortable
Right from the moment we arrived at reception we were made to feel like VIPs. We had an amazing time at the hotel and we definitely return - this was our fifth visit!
Fabulous stay
There were not enough staff for the number of people eating. Menu was not large or good. Some staff did not keep the breakfast bits topped up.
Excellent hotel....resturant food leaves a lot to be desired.
Great room overlooking the track, lovely bar, relaxed atmosphere for drinks. Rooms are large and comfortable.
Great room overlooking the track, lovely bar, relaxed atmosphere for drinks.
I have come to Brooklands for many years & have been to all the museums as well as the Mercedes-Benz facilities, particularly with my 3 grandkids who live nearby. Also the large nearby shopping mall. I had always wondered what the Brooklands Hotel was like. Now I know & will stay there again!
Lovely hotel! Amazing service, staff were delightful the food was great. And the view from the room was brilliant. Would definitely stay again.
We paid extra for the spa which half of the experiences are missing. I had to book an extra room for 3 Adults. When you can book a family room for two adults and sneak another adult in.The family room is huge it has two double king size beds enough for four adults. Some hotels give you the experience, this one im not feeling it.
The room was a good size, modern and clean. Hotel is in a decent location, relevant to shops and restaurants etc. Comfy bed with a good shower, so ticks the main boxes for me. Is good fun having the race Mercedes test track out the front as well. Unfortunately the food here was a massive let down though, extortionately priced, and the burger I had was cold, bland and soggy with a charcoal bun. Found the staff to be a bit disorganised as well. Thought having to pay to park is a bit cheeky when the hotel has it's own car park which is not exactly in the middle of town. Not sure if I would return to be honest, now I know there is a Premier Inn up the road.
Very nice and clean hotel.
From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with the utmost warmth and hospitality. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The spa facilities were nothing short of amazing. It was the perfect retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation, and we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of services and the professionalism of the staff. Moreover, the thoughtful happy birthday message left in our room for my wife was a delightful surprise that added a personal touch to our visit. It truly made our stay memorable and helped make her special day even more perfect. Please extend our gratitude to your team for their dedication to excellence. It is clear that the Brooklands Hotel goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a remarkable experience. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
