Great location, walking distance to restaurants, and the beach. The owner was very approachable and helpful. Had a wonderful breakfast!!

We think Paul is the cook of our journey . He mad an excellent breakfast brought us to the day. We enjoyed this victorian house with the seaviev from the attic, the antique furniture and dishes.

The host sorted an issue with my room very quickly and with no stress whatsoever. The breakfast was excellent, perfect portion, good coffee, and nice and relaxed. Highly recommended.

Estaba muy buen ubicado, muy cerca de la playa, donde poder pasear y a la vez, cerca del centro. a unos 10/ 15 minutos andando. en la habitación había un calentador de agua y sobres de té y café para hacer. Todo muy bien

The Burnside is only a few minutes away from the beach, in a very pleasant part of town, so its location is definitely an attraction. It is also quiet and comfortable and good value for what one pays. My host was polite, helpful and friendly.

Tolle Lage, sehr nahe am Meer, ruhig. Das Zimmer war schön und sauber, das Bett sehr bequem. Möglichkeit, das Gepäck bereits früher abzugeben vor dem offiziellen Check-in.

Der Gastgeber war sehr kurz angebunden, schmuddeliges Auftreten. Es gab keinen Zugangscode zum WLAN. Für das Frühstück muss man am Vorabend einen bestimmten Zeitraum angeben und was man essen möchte. Wenn man 10 Minuten zu früh kommt, gibt es noch nichts, dafür habe ich dann gut 10 Minuten warten müssen. Der Gastgeber hat in der Küche diverse Male hörbar gerülpst und gestöhnt. Ich habe mich wirklich nicht wohl gefühlt beim Frühstück.

Very clean, comfortable and ideally situated. 250yards from the beach and 5 or 6 minutes from the town centre. Very good value for money. Breakfast was lovely too

Great location.

Owner seemed to be too busy in the morning to speak with me to arrange a bag drop. My room (ground floor) was directly next door to the breakfast room which was noisy. My toilet and shower is also immediately outside the breakfast room which makes it slightly uncomfortable to use in the morning. Shower had mould in the base area and didn't look particularly clean.

Excellent location between the town centre and the beach, handy for the harbour paddle steamer and the train station. I had a small single room but with a comfy bed. Paul was a friendly and informative host, very knowledgeable about Ayr and surrounding locations.

I didn't realise breakfast was on offer when I booked so I was very happy to pay the extra for salmon and eggs, toast and a huge cafetiere of coffee. The room was very comfortable and well equipped, the location was ideal; for an overnight stay it was just right.

It was easy to book.Great location and Paul was excellent I had no problems and it felt like being at home.I slept so well which is rare for me in BB

Stayed at Burnside Guest House for a wedding I was attending just outside Ayr. Small single bedroom, but very comfortable bed and the room was perfect for a couple of nights stay, would be happy to come back. Communication was excellent and check in was very straightforward even though I arrived late when nobody was there.

La situation des lieux est parfaite. Je n'ai vu Paul qu'à mon arrivée et lorsque je suis parti 3 jours plus tard mais il a été très poli, gentil et aimable. La chambre est suffisante pour une ou ou deux personnes. La salle de bain est en excellent état et propre. Les lits sont très confortables. Il y a même une table à repasser et un fer pour les vêtements. L'emplacement était très calme. J'ai très bien dormi. Le wi-fi fonctionnait très bien. Je n'ai pas beaucoup utilisé la TV. Je dois revenir dans la région l'an prochain et je reviendrai très certaienment chez Paul.

La chambre pourrrait être améliorée en mettant un dispositif permettant de recharger les smartphone par USB-A ou USB-C.

Quite a small room. Slippers should have been provided as the bathroom was outside the room. Only one bathrobe for two people. Only one glass (but no water) and one spoon to share. Years of dust on top of the wardrobe.

A good clean single room with everything you need. Location is perfect for the train station with adequate parking in the street or nearby. Very close to the esplanade and beach but an easy walk to the town centre and all of it’s facilities

Enjoyable experience. Met all our needs for an overnight stay. All facilities provided for. Comfort and wellbeing. The breakfast menu had good choices and was served and nicely presented. The owner provided us with a key to come and go whenever we needed. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

A hook in the bathroom to hang our towels and a mat for stepping from the shower.

Beautiful room on the top floor with a view over the rooftops and the sea to Arran. Very comfortable all round and a great position just back from the beach and round the corner from a fab chippy! The manager was very friendly; thank you!

Bed was very comfortable, had a great sleep. Bathroom was bright, clean and fresh with complementary toiletries. Location very quiet and peaceful although just a few minutes walk from the beach one way and the town the other.

Plenty of hangers but none suitable for trousers but if this is the only complaint I have that's nothing really!

The room was very clean, comfortable and warm. Plenty of room. The shower was powerful which I like. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach, 20 min walk to the train station with plenty of pubs and cafe's inbetween. I didn't have the breakfast, wish I did as the previous reviews were good.

All is good so no complaints here.

The location is great, close to all the amenities in the town. The room was clean and well laid out with plenty of facilities, nice to have the en-suite too. Lots of extra options like WiFi and breakfast etc and the host was very friendly.

I visited Ayr to retrace my childhood holiday memories and pay tribute to my late parents. Burnside took me back to traditional guest houses with high ceilings and armchairs. It's a lovely place, very warm and welcoming. I had a great stay, and would highly recommend.

Nothing without nit picking, for which I have no time. Burnside provided me with a convenient, very comfortable and highly recommended experience.
