It was close to venue The Tunnels for a wedding stay... Breakfast was lovely the place just needs some TLC ...

Dirty windows , very basic however good enough for a shirt stay & good value our bathroom looked like it had just been upgraded 🙌

Cooked breakfast was adequate

Dining room was dark and dingy. Whole hotel was in need of a clean and decoration. Untidy with boxed parcels left in the entrance hall, bedroom was adequate but nothing special. Certainly not worth the money we paid

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent, the bathroom was lovely and clean and towels were lovely

The bed was not very comfortable and could do with better pillows, there was quite a few cobwebs on the ceiling

Returned here after 6 years and it still offers the best English Brekfast I have experienced in the UK. The rooms are neat and tidy. The hotel is an easy walk to the town and port. They let us leave the car on the day we checked out to give us another day on the port. Great place the stay for a weekend break or longer.

Great for a trip to Ilfracombe. Everything you need at a great price point! Lovely staff and breakfast, brilliant shower too.

Lovely friendly host. Soooo lovely! The breakfast almost filled 2 teenage boys and that's not easy! Great location and value for money. Great amount of tea, coffee and milk available in the room. Bar and games room available, although we didn't use. Family room was two separate rooms which was amazing!

Smelt a bit stale when we arrived in our room however cleared quickly as prob not been used. Some stains on the wall.

The hotel is of a ‘traditional era’ the owners however have made sure every nook and cranny is spotlessly clean. Love the one fridge per corridor so you could chill drinks without having a bulky appliance in your room. Rooms (x3) all had modern bathrooms. Brilliant location with car parking and electric car recharging - excellent. Lady in charge works hard and has a wicked sense of humour.

It was clean and only a short walk to town or the coastal paths. Also close to Lidl if you needed anything

We struggled with smoke coming into our room from cigarettes and rolled varieties(!) due to being above the front door where there were chairs for smoking.

Loved our host ❤️. She was very kind felt like home when she was around . There were plenty of teas and coffees and bath toiletries.

The room was really sunny and very hot . Fan was not working well and it was loads of stairs . More towels be appreciated. I would expect you more from location.

Lovely clean rooms, amazing breakfast and lovely host

The Landlady was so welcoming, she made us feel like we had been going for years. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spotless with tea and coffee Her daughter made the most amazing cooked breakfast. There was so much choice from cereal, fresh fruit, toast and anything cooked. Endless tea and coffee Can't say enough how good they were. Location was perfect for the beach or stroll along high street.

It is useful that it accepts one night stays if walking through Ilfracombe. Parking.

I liked that it was easy to park and that there was stuff near the B&B. The room was pretty good but the only problem was there was only one fan and no AC.

breakfast was average because the sausages tasted frozen and not proper pork ones, did give our daughter a bit of sickness from them I think. Although, the food did come out hot. Needs more options!!! E.g - pancakes, waffles etc

Breakfast was excellent, loads of choices, cooked perfect. Room was clean, sheets and bedding were clean, shower was clean and good water pressure/hot water.

Parking was a bit tight and was full one night so had to park in public car park.

The staff were all very nice. The rooms were clean. We had an amazing breakfast.

The stairs were very steep and we were on the top floor.

The breakfast was fabulous. Could not fault anything. It was our second time here and it is still a "WOW" we loved our stay.

Nicely located in a quieter part of Ilfracombe, but still within walking distance of the city center and harbor. A welcoming host. Many breakfast options to choose from. A nice, spacious room with a big bathroom.

We liked the friendliness of the staff and the breakfast choices.

It was very hot in our room due to the unexpectedly high temperatures. The shower was rather cramped.

Our host was very welcoming and our dog adored her, especially when he was given plenty of bacon & sausage at breakfast! Our room was very clean and tidy, tea and coffee facilities which were easy to supplement as needed. The breakfast was AMAZING! If you left hungry, that's down to you, not the host! Very cosy breakfast room and you were waited on hand and foot. Very dog friendly, and easy to locate. An excellent place to stay for access to local attractions.

Getting out of the carpark could be challenging due to cars parking opposite the access. If you are mobility challenged, the stairs could be an issue as the breakfast room is in the cellar. The property is located up a bit of a hill, and also has a steep slope from the carpark to the front door, and so it's easy to get out of breath if you're rather unfit.

Great spot not far from the town with parking and a lovely breakfast ready in the morning. We will recommend to family and friends and would come again.

The curtains were not the best for keeping the sunlight out, but easily fixed with an eye mask.

Das Hotel bräuchte dringend eine Verjüngungskur. Bei einem mehrtätigen Aufenthalt könnten wenigstens die Mülleimer täglich geleert werden. Eine gründlichere Reinigung des Badezimmers vor jedem Aufenthalt wäre wünschenswert.

Smelt of cigarette smoke when you enter the building which was really off putting. Room was small but ok, however it was unclean, long black hair all over the pillows, shaved beard hair on the shelf in the bathroom (which was coming off the hinges)

Location was best

Just needed to be tidier throughout and cleaner in bathroom area - room smelt and was stuffy

Lyn was a great host. Made us feel welcome from the start. Breakfast was fantastic, with so many choices, or the option to have the lot! The honesty bar was a nice touch.

Perhaps a few areas needed a clean up , but didn’t spoil our time there .

The only criticism would be the mattress on the bed was too soft, however this would not stop me from booking again.

Mit Zusendung der Check-in-Daten erhält man eine Liste mit Regeln und Gebühren bei Verstoß dieser Regeln, was ersteinmal die Vorfreude auf die Wohnung etwas eindämmt. Die Wohnung wirkt auf den ersten Eindruck sehr modern, genauer darf man allerdings nicht hinschauen. Boden, Toilette und Geschirr waren schmutzig. Das Bettzeug für die 3. Person (war angemeldet!) befand sich im staubigen Bettkasten des Schlafsofas und war völlig verstaubt/verfusselt, das Bettlaken mit Flecken versehen und alles wirkte wie schon benutzt.  Das Laminat ist an vielen Stellen defekt und im Waschbeckenabfluss fehlt der Stöpsel. Der Anblick beim Zähneputzen in den versteckten Abfluss ist sehr unappetitlich. Der Kontakt vor dem Check-in war gut. Auf die Mail nach dem Check-in haben wir bis jetzt keine Antwort.

The host Lynne was lovely, attentive, making sure you were ok, asking if you wanted more food/drink at breakfast. Chatty and friendly unlike some hosts

Noise and door slamming from other rooms, which I know cannot be avoided, and not the hosts fault. My bed seemed to be a bit sloping.

The accommodation is in a quiet location and not far to walk to the Harbour. The breakfast was a good breakfast and made the stay very good value for money. The service offered by the host by Lynne was unbelievable. Myself and others were staying for 1 night before sailing to Lundy. When our sailing was cancelled Lynne bent over backwards to enable us to stay an extra night.

Bathroom was a little awkward and small. Only 2 of 3 bedroom lights had lightbulbs in.

The room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. The breakfast was incredible and set us up for the whole day.

The reception area is very dated and smelled quite strongly of cigarette smoke. And as this is the “first impression” it did put us off a little.

The room was clean and spacious. A useful amount of coffee and milk sachets were provided for refreshments. The location was a 2 minute drive to the warfe and a short Walk to the town center. Breakfast was pre ordered on arrival so there was no lengthy waiting in the morning, which was great as we were on a deadline! The manager who checked us in was lovely

Great location between the old town and harbour and the Coast Path. Very congenial staff - Our rental car died and the staff helped us figure out what was wrong with the car. Excellent, plentiful and very healthy breakfast with fresh fruit salad

The room was clean but small and there was plenty of tea and coffee.

There was a public hair in the shower and as soon as we walked in you could smell stale smoke. Hostess was rude and we didn’t stay for breakfast as there was no flexibility with time and we wanted to have an early start walking . This has never been a problem wherever we have stayed before. Pictures do not show how run down the outside is so need updating.
