The room was nice. Bed comfy.
When I arrived I was able to get a parking spaces but as I had to go and do a rehearsal for the Poole Tattoo I found it very difficult to get a parking space when I returned later that evening. Thankfully I was able to park on the grass. I had a lot of musical gear to unload.
The beds were comfortable.
The walls were thin and you could hear all the other guests coming in and out and conversation in adjoining rooms. The bedside lights didn't swivvle as they should.
Only staff
Smelly blankets and beds, I believe there was bedbugs in room. Toilet was also very unclean and old
The location is excellent, and the room is so big for 3 of us.
Parking is very tight.
Easy to find and check in , clean comfy room with tea and coffee and telly and good wifi. Free safe car parking and friendly staff. Swimming pool a few steps away from main hotel. Coop store a short walk away.
A very small TV difficult to view when laying in bed .
Brilliant location, fab pool and friendly staff
Lack of mini fridge as it was very hot and it would've been nice to put your cold drinks in the fridge
Generous sized room, lots of original period features kept. Gorgeous bedding.
Car parking chaos! V limited on site and confusing on surrounding roads. Wasn't quite sure where I'd left it in the end which was fun next morning ...
Location and was clean. Don’t use any other facilities so not fair to comment.
Room was a bit tatty and could do with a makeover. Beds were a bit mobile and wobbly. Bathroom very basic. Car park was not adequate for size of hotel, it would be but it’s full of coaches, also only one disabled parking space for the entire hotel!
Local to the centre
Damage to facilities in the room dirty bedding
For the price it was OK. A dated seaside hotel - budget price budget quality. Easy car parking
Cctv everywhere...
The swimming pool was ok. Staff were friendly. Location was ok.
Hot tub was cold. Rooms are outdated. Need modernization. Beds are uncomfortable.
Very good location
Noise, I don't like the room not being really clean as I thought and very much noise from the other room with no door closed and I can't even be told the family probably need to rest
It was close to the beach
cleanliness confort, noise, weed smell from forecourt and squeaky floor boards
Large deep bath
Could do with updating
Everything was clean. No real issues with that.
Mattresses were aging uncomfortable and lumpy. Room smelled a bit musty until we aired it.
Great room, helpful staff.
It had beds and coffee making facilities.
We arrived at night and it was very dark and had an almost dingy appearance. Shame as it didn't look that way in the day. There was a guy popped out for a smoke at 5am. Coughing heavily, his door banged loudly shut both when he went out and returned. It was noisy from early on so not for someone seeking a restful night. Sadly, the bathroom looked dirty, might just be worn and dated but I felt I'd be more dirty if I had a shower than if not.
The location is nice and close to town
The carpets are old and dirty, the toilets are old and had a stench. It will benefit from a revamp, reap off the old carpets and completely renovate the toilets.
Clean and tidy and staff very helpful
Nothing everything.was perfect
Very nice cooked well, consistent throughout the week
The walk to the bus stop was hard as I am disabled
The staff were all friendly and super helpful the breakfast was great
size of room bit small for wheel chair
We could use the shower as the water wasn’t flowing down . The room smell was awful . The furnishings is very old for a 3star hotel . The breakfast also very poor for the price . Not recommend to anyone .
The staff were fantastic, the food was lovely and the pool was amazing.
The beds were uncomfortable and the showers were very basic.
Staff easy to communicate with , they listen to concerns, without interrupting. Rarity . Delivered what they promised, went he extra mile , super happy .
Staff were friendly
Our room was nothing like the photo advertised. Beds uncomfortable. No WiFi in our room. All furniture needs replacing along with the bathroom very outdated.
The shower was powerful and the pool was a good size and nice feature
- Rooms are very basic - feels dated - no bedside lighting or lamp - tv and socket positioning
Nothing
Very very dated. The room key could also open another door meaning could probably open everyone’s door. Felt very un safe . The size of the room very very small. Bathroom tiny. Felt dirty
The location was nice easy to get around.
The bathroom floor tiles were broken ,cracked sink, the mattress on the bed has seen better days and the carpet was old, musky and sticky! Shoes had to be worn at all times.
Good facilities relaxed vibe
Hot water tricky to regulate Pool could be cleaner but loads of fun
Really friendly staff, lent me sellotape and scissors to wrap my sons gifts! Breakfast was lovely, pool was nice. Short walk down to the seaside.
I liked that the room was clean, the hotel is not far from the seaside
The single bed sofa was uncomfortable
Male waiters could do with additional training.
Breakfast order not being fully met. Being asked if we want milk for our cereals.
Location good for getting to the main beach. Children loved the swimming pool
The bed was uncomfortable and still have a bad back 3 odd weeks later, the plug didn't fit the bath hole so had to have water constant running to fill and there was mould around the bath, neither tap had a consistent temperature so couldn't run a shower properly, and being in the room right next to the front door with a child who wakes easily and constant slamming of the door all night and music from other rooms...
My kids enjoyed the pool. The staff were always available to resolve and find solutions to any complaint.
The door was making a lots of noise. Most of the things looked old.
Lovely hotel, clean, lovely bar.
I didn't like the pillows, very heavy, and not comfortable
Everyone on the team was very welcoming and friendly, the room was large, I also liked the pool.
The rooms could have a mini-fridge, and the heater could also be left easily accessible to turn on when needed, as it gets quite cold there at night.
the second time i have been to this hotel and both times as i have lifted the duvet cover i have found hair on the pillow. also from the last time 3 years ago the pool table in the games room still has the same cloth with a great big rip in it. the jacuzzi had dirty all around the edges. when i asked the cleaner for new towels she kissed her lips at me like i had said something wrong. last point they had no entertainment in the evenings for a hotel of that size with so many people staying there seem strange.
It had an outside swimming pool
There’s nothing to dislike
What I seen advertised is what I got
Can’t say anything I didn’t like everything was very accessible
Pool was good
Beds need to be checked ours was broken
the bed linen was very worn and some of the towels were stained, The room smelled very bad.
Good
None
The staff were all amazing. The children loved the pool. The breakfast was very good. But, some serious up dating is needed. We stayed in the houses. The rooms were in desperate need of attention. The beds, sheets, quilts, pillows and towels need to be thrown away and replaced. The equipment in the games room was ALL broken. These are all issues that are so easily fixed and would give you 5 stars!
We had a great time but I wouldn't come back because the rooms were so bad.
The property was ok nothing special we didn’t get a breakfast we had to buy our own
What I didn’t like about the place was that breakfast didn’t come with it normally when u order bed and breakfast
The pool was good and location was fine
I booked one adult two children age 13 and 15 and they gavr us one double and 1 single leaving mum to sleep with a teenage boy not ideal really.
Nothing
Filthy dated dirty discussing
The location was great.
Very small rooms
I don't no
The pool ,location and service
Bed linen was yellow from age, hotel needs a complete refurb
I liked that the pool was easily accessible and open for a good length of time without the need to book beforehand.
The shower was a bit tricky to regulate the temperature.
Staff very friendly, always helpful
Had my daughters costume taken off the line one day probably by another guest, maybe was an accident but it meant she couldnt use the pool so spoilt it a bit, apart from I was very happy with my stay and I will definitely be coming back
Some of the reception staff were helpful when I eventually decided to leave, and the hotel agreed to process a refund for the unused nights. The swimming pool was also something my children enjoyed
Unfortunately, our experience was very poor. On arrival, the bathroom and toilet were dirty and there were hairs left from previous guests. The tea/coffee tray, cups and spoons were also dirty. I reported the dirty spoons, but after around three hours they still had not been changed, so I had to take them to reception myself. The room was extremely hot, around 27°C, with no air conditioning or fan, despite keeping the windows open. The most serious issue was finding what appeared to be a bed bug on my daughter’s pillow. I photographed it and reported it immediately. I later developed a very itchy and inflamed skin lesion which worsened and required assessment at a pharmacy, where I was given antibiotics for a skin infection. Breakfast was also disappointing, and I felt a member of staff spoke to me rudely when I asked for a straw for my autistic daughter. I was travelling with my sister and my two disabled children. Because of the hygiene concerns, we checked out early. We were unable to find suitable replacement accommodation and ultimately had to end our family holiday several days early and return home. The hotel refunded the unused nights, but overall the experience caused significant disruption and disappointment.
Every think
Very much!
The pool. The attention of the staff. Very kind
The hotel is old. You can smell the smell on his carpet. When I got to the room the bathroom was dirty, the floor slimy and the shower dirty. Totally unpleasant.
Location
Dirty, no shower in room.
The swimming pool
I wasn’t happy with the cleanliness,I was disappointed with dirty carpets, slugs on the carpet leaving residues even on our stuff. No cooling systems,no fridge, tissues rolls were very low standard.
The pool and the receptionist
The rooms were a bit stuffy
Location was fine facilities were very good
It was all ok
Good size room
Pillows were very uncomforable made it hard to sleep.bathroom wasnt very clean.there were spiders and flies in the bathroom.kettle didnt work properly
Distance to the beach, quiet, pool/ table tennis, responsive staff
I liked it overall
Lovely 20 minute walk into the town centre through the park, easy to navigate your way and close to convenient stores for drinks and nibbles. Swimming pool great for the children, staff really friendly and welcoming.
Room was very hot in the evenings and no fans in bedrooms, which made it fairly uncomfortable to sleep in- however not the properties fault that the weather has been so warm. Cleanliness in bathrooms wasn't fantastic and no shower in our room, which made a quick wash difficult as it required running a bath.
Staff friendly and welcoming
Loacation
.The condition .The shower water was hard to set it was either to cold or to hot .The pillows were so hard .As well as the blanket
