The Shore

The location is great. Perfect for walking straight down to the beach and not noisy like the centre. Its great they have a small gym, although I didnt use it. The bed was really comfy and the facilities were quiet and clean. Theres also a fridge in the room which is really useful.

Small things really. In my room there was no towel rails at all and no drawers to put clothes in. There was a walk in cupboard but it only had 3 coathangers (I did ask and get more). Although having a fridge is useful it was really noisy. It didnt stop me sleeping, but I imagine it might some people. The drinking water situation was strange. You are advised by the company not to drink the water from the tap and that to fill up from the water filter loacted on the ground floor. I had to go up and down 3 flights of stairs each time I needed to top up...this was quite inconvenient really, but I got used to it! Also there are no plugs near a mirror...didnt bother me...but could be an issue for others.

The location was good, good value for money. It was clean and beds were comfortable. The room was spacious.

Da wie bereits früher angereist sind, fragte ich nach, ob wir unser Gepäck abgeben könnten. Der Eigentümer war sehr freundlich, und wir konnten bereits um 13 Uhr einchecken. Es werden sehr viele Freizeitmöglichkeiten angeboten. Wir haben Tischtennis und Kicker gespielt. Der Zustand der Geräte ist sehr gut, ebenso wie die Ausstattung des Zimmers, neu möbliert, bequemes Bett, alles sauber ... alles perfekt ... danke!

The bed was bad, both me and my partner got pain in our lower backs from it. The pillows werent very good either tho they did provide you with 2. At night you can hear a lot of noises and the floorboards are quite thin.

Einfaches einchecken, gute Lage, das Hotel ist natürlichauch schon in die Jahregekommen, aber ich fand es nicht schlimm und für 2 / 3 Nächte würde ich immer wiederkommen! Parkplätze vor der Tür sind wirklich sehr eng , es gibt in der Umgebung aber auch andere parkmöglichkeiten

The location was good and there was onsite parking available for an extra fee. The bed and pillows were fairly comfortable and the bed linen was clean and white and a decent quality. Facilities were as described.

No mirror in the bathroom. Drinking water was only from a dispenser on the ground floor (we were on the 3rd floor). No staff at all. A general run-down feel in the wider building. Flimsy curtains.

Location was great, I enjoyed the do it yourself sort of stay, the minimal interaction is great for people like me and my partner who have challenges with social interaction.

The only negative was that the toilet wouldn’t flush properly from the first use and might have been partially blocked from a previous stay.

Location was great. Room size was generous. 24hour gym and games room were good. I like how easy it was to enter the property with codes for the doors and the information for access was very clear.

I would have liked to clear out the rubbish bin daily and the bed was uncomfortable. Having a fridge in the room was nice but unfortunately it was noisy at night.

It was a lovely, cozy room with a large shower. The bed was so comfortable and the bedsheets and quilt cover were so soft and smelled lovely! Large, clean towels were provided, along with complimentary toiletries. Nice, big TV screen with access to all channels. Really appreciated the fan which was of excellent quality and provided a good, strong breeze. Also appreciated the water fountain downstairs for top-ups. Location is wonderful ~ only a short, 5-10 min walk to the cliff tops and a 15 walk downhill to Bournemouth Pier. You can catch the 50 Breezer bus from the main road 3 mins away, which offers a fantastic open-topped ride across the Sandbanks chain ferry to The Purbecks where you can experience some breath-taking views and the lovely little town of Swanage ~ well worth a trip! Thank you for the tote bag gift ~ it was so handy and very strong & good quality:)

There is no drinking water in the room.

It was clean and very well taken care of. Also loved the communal gym and game station facilities.

Das Haus liegt nahe am Strand und in der Nähe von ein paar Restaurants und einem Pub und trotzdem ruhig. Es ist frisch renoviert.

Man hat keine Möglichkeit seine Kleidung zu verstauen.

The Rooms were comfortable and clean. A few breaks and cracks but overall well maintained. The games room and garden was very refreshing, suitable for adults and children.

The room was very clean and tidy. The bathroom was a good size and free bag was a lovely touch. The bedding was fresh and fresh towels and shower gels etc supplied. The fridge was very cold and the tea and coffee making facilities weee excellent. The location was right on the west cliff overtop which was amazing views of Bournemouth beach. The building itself was secure and clean.

Everything about the property was great. Only small issue was the parking spaces were very small so when we arrived there was not enough space between 2 cars to get into our space but there was another space we could use so issue easily resolved. Other than that there are no issues about the property itself.

Das eine Zimmer lag im unrenovierten linken Haus und war ziemlich schäbig. Das zweite Zimmer lag im 2. Og und war erneuert. Abers ich dort waren die Fenster defekt bzw. Abgesperrt.

The room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, and everything was so clean. It even had a fan. The rooms were so soundproof I couldn't hear anyone next door.

Saubere, geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtete Unterkunft: Wir hatten Zimmer Nr 4 mit einem Balkon nach vorne raus. Das Bad war modern und das Zimmer groß. Es gab eine kleine offene Garderobe mit zwei Schubladen, einen Schreibtisch mit bequemen Sessel. Das Bett war bequem, mit genug Kissen und guter Matratze. Prima war auch, dass ein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer war sowie ein Wasserkocher und kostenfrei Instant-Kaffee, Teebeutel, Milch und Zucker. Lage: Die Unterkunft ist nur ein paar Schritte entfernt zu einem kleinen Park von dem man entweder einige Stufen zum Strand mit Frühstückskcafe und Restaurant heruntergeht oder in die andere Richtung 5-10 Minuten zum Pier läuft. Gepäckaufbewahrung: Auf telefonische Anfrage bekam ich einen Code für ein Schließfach, um meine Tasche beim Abreisetag noch etwas lagern zu können. Sehr hilfsbereite und freundliche Mitarbeiterin am Telefon. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Im Bad fehlen leider Aufhänger für Kleidung oder Kulturbeutel. Auch in der Dusche keine Ablage. Sonst ist das Bad topp. Auf dem Balkon wäre ein kleiner Beistelltisch zu den zwei Stühlen wünschenswert.

All good, but will recommend microwave facility. Also, as our shoes always carried had little amount of sand, it would be good to provide something in the room to sweep the floor.

The location was great, so close to the sandy beach. The staff were so quick to respond to my emails regarding parking so quickly and sorted the parking for me at the last minute, which was a relief. The rooms were lovely, had a wee needed, it was clean and comfortable. There was a games room for the children to play in. All essential things were already in the room for us, iron, hair dryer, hangers, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower gel. Tea, coffee, kettle, fridge. TV with netflix and a fan!

Det låg jätte bra, nära både stranden och busshållplatsen till buss 50 som tog oss längst kusten. Det var smidigt att checka in och ut, och det var väldigt lugnt och tyst på nätterna.

It was a comfortable room, nice bathroom with good water pressure. The beds were comfortable, and the room was well decorated inside. Bathroom was clean, provided amenities were great. Staff were helpful and friendly. Requested an extra fan as I was really struggling with the heat and the hosts were quick to respond and to make the stay as comfortable as possible

The room only has one window that opens, so it can get very hot in the room. (Top floor so heat was prominent on first day but host did mediate this as best as possible) Was also a bit of damp on the walls with a noticeable damp smell but not did not take away from the room. The doors also "slam" when closing so if you have a lot of people coming and going it can become a bit annoying.

I would recommend this hotel, very close to beach, very clean and comfortable room. The gym, games room and outside area was excellent.staff were lovely and helpful too. We will be back next summer.

Location is perfect, it's like a 10 min walk to the beach, it's very close to a nisa local, restaurants and maybe a 15-20 min walk to the town centre depending on how fast you walk. I thought the place was very clean and well looked after, we had enough tea/coffee/sugar and the fridge was a really nice touch. I really appreciated how dust free the place was especially because I have asthma and bad allergies. There is also a free water dispenser on the bottom floor which I really liked. We stayed in room 8.

Our room was on the third floor and there wasn't a lift which was difficult at times because we had heavy luggage. Also having to walk up and down to get water from the water dispenser was difficult. The room as I said was really nice however there was no where to hang your towel e.g no hooks behind any of the doors, just a clothes rail inside the store cupboard and I feel more places to hang your towels is needed more especially in a hotel near the beach where you may want to hang your towels when you get back. Having said all of this, our overall stay was great.

Schönes Hotel in einer super Lage direkt am Strand in der Innenstadt. Das Bett war bequem, es gab einen Fernseher, Wasserkocher, Kaffee- und Teezubehör sowei einen Kühlschrank und Hygieneprodukte. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und würden das Hotel erneut besuchen.

Sehr zentral, fußläufig zu Restaurants und Strand. Wasserkocher und Kühlschrank sind vorhanden, das Zimmer war ausreichend groß. Das Bad recht modern (Zimmer 9).

Dritter Stock ohne Aufzug war anstrengend. Der vorab gebuchte Parkplatz war extrem eng. Aber alles andere war super!

The best thing of course is location, but my son as well was happy to play ping pong 🏓 and football Room was good size with all necessary for good rest.

The shower head could have been a bit better as it is a tube shape rather than round so didn't cover much of an area.

Very run down, mould on walls, wall paper falling off and bubbling, curtains hanging off the rails and very old/dated. The car parking was so tight had to get out the passenger side, not enough spaces. On entrance to the rooms all the doors looked like they belonged in a prison cell with paint falling off them. The other side of the property ‘The retreat’ was completely different very modern. We were obviously in the run down side.

The property has no regard for paying for parking as the space was being used by someone else. No staff on site to answer any queries!!! We left after seeing our room. It’s like a Housing Benefit Hotel - paint to doors peeling, paper peeling, damp staining, windows blown. We left as soon as we saw the room. Only a partial refund for our two day booking- very poor.

Absolutely wonderful location so close to the sea (pic taken just at the end of the road of Shore house) we travelled by train & it wasn't too far. Bedroom was comfortable, enough space for yoga, gym was great too aswell as the handy drinking water machine in the hallway & we enjoyed the games room.

I had pre paid for parking and been given an allocated spot outside of the hotel. It was impossible to use this spot due to the parking of other guests. The parking spaces are very small anyway but my car would not have fit between the two SUVs into the space, especially as one was over the line. We phoned and were told to use any space we could. No ventilation through the hotel. I dread to think how it would be during a heatwave. Luckily we stayed when it was 22-24 degrees. The room was challenging. We were in room 9 on the top floor. No issue with being on the top floor. But the furniture includes a bed, two small bedside tables, a desk table and chair. We were living out of our bags on the floor. Sleep quality was ok. The bed and mattress were good enough. The bathroom was also challenging. There was a cupboard under the sink. Not a single hook anywhere. Not a towel rail. Not a toilet roll holder. Nothing. Not being able to hang a towel after use is not convenient. There was a storage cupboard in the room with a hanging rail. It came with a generous 3 hangers. There was also a hair dryer, iron and small ironing board in there. This was not a comfortable stay. Maybe there was furniture once and it got trashed? When going out one day, some rooms were being vented and cleaned. I think ours was one of the more ‘basic’ rooms but furniture I did notice looks cheap and not overly sufficient anyway. It was cheap to book. 3 nights for roughly £200, booked back in Feb. Seemed like a bargain at the time. Wish I’d booked the premier inn.

Location was superb. Staff were helpful. Gym and games room were brilliant, and the outside space was unexpected but very welcome.

Parking could have been an issue but staff were most obliging and sorted the problem immediately.

Location is excellent, very close to the beach. Quiet. Very clean. Tea/coffee making supplies provided in abundance. The gym is a bonus.

The only downside is the use of blinds for the windows. Blackout curtains would have been perfect especially now that the sun comes out quite early.

Fab location. We could walk easily to the BIC in just 5-10mins. Lovely, comfortable room which included a fridge.

I was disappointed not to be able to book parking for the stay, especially as there were spaces available throughout. We did book parking elsewhere with a 5 mins walk.

Die gezeigten Fotos entsprechen nicht ganz dem, was wir vorgefunden haben. Die Möbel waren schon ziemlich abgelebt und aus der Wasserleitung bekamen wir auch schon einmal braunes Wasser. In Summe für den Preis aber zu verkraften.

Bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Bed was very comfy and it was a good Smart Freely tv which we liked. Nice drinks and biscuit tray and very good facilities in the main building, good outside area. Small fridge very useful. Excellent value for money.

Communal hallway and stairs a bit tired. No person entry etc and car reg podium not working so we had to call number given and go into other side of building to register our car/parking. No mirror in bathroom. Kettle difficult to fill from bathroom tap.

Il est difficile d assombrir la chambre ce qui fait qu on est réveillé très tôt le matin. Nous aurions apprécié une 2e chaise .

Die Unterkunft verfügt über einen Aufenthaltsbereich im EG, der mit einer Tischtennisplatte, einem Kickertisch und Billard recht gut ausgestattet ist. Die Lage ist super.

Das war mit Abstand die schlechteste Unterkunft, in der ich die letzten Jahre übernachtet habe. Entweder sind die offiziellen Bilder viel älter oder gefaked. In den Zimmern sind Stromkabel mit Kabelkanälen verlegt, für die Putz aufgehakt, aber am den meisten Stellen nicht zugemacht wurde. Wir haben in Zimmer 10 übernachtet. Die Tapeten sind teilweise lose, der Putz fiel von der Decke und die Gardinen hatten Löcher und waren dreckig.

Ich war früher als geplant an der Unterkunft und wollte anfragen, ob ich mein Gepäck bis zum Check-in verstauen kann. Das wäre kein Problem gewesen, aber stattdessen konnte ich sogar schon mein Zimmer beziehen, was mich sehr gefreut hat! Das Zimmer selbst sah gemütlich und einladend aus. Das Bett war sehr bequem und sowohl Bettwäsche als auch Handtücher haben sehr gut gerochen. Der Kühlschrank war Gold wert. So konnte ich ein paar Lebensmittel lagern (Unterkunft ohne Frühstück). Toll fand ich auch die Sitzecke im Außenbereich, da ich dort tagsüber im Schatten sitzen und lesen konnte. Die Lage ist optimal. Der Strand ist quasi direkt vor der Tür und das Town Center erreicht man in ca. 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß. Ebenfalls super: Wasserspender in der Lobby. Erspart das Schleppen von Plastikflaschen.

Dafür kann The Shore tatsächlich nichts, aber für hitzeempfindliche Menschen ist es leider im Sommer nicht die richtige Unterkunft. Es gab zwar einen Ventilator, aber die Hitze hat sich so im Zimmer gestaut, dass ich nachts kaum schlafen konnte. Was mir ansonsten noch aufgefallen ist war mangelnde Sauberkeit an der einen oder anderen Stelle. Meine Gläser und Tassen waren nicht richtig sauber und die Sitzecke draußen war schon sehr eingestaubt. Da könnte man definitiv ein bisschen mehr drauf achten. Insgesamt ist es aber eine sehr schöne Unterkunft für einen Aufenthalt in Bournemouth und ich habe mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Para empezar no era nada como en las fotos. No estaba limpio, muchos desperfectos en la habitación y olía mal. Aparte de que hacia muchísimo calor en la habitación y no entraba luz natural. Por tanto nos sentimos engañados. Contratas una cosa y lo que recibes es otra completamente diferente, mirad las fotos para la comparativa.
