Staff so helpful really nice

Clean room, brilliant staff. Friendly, helpful and it was also fantastic that they allowed dogs to stay.

No food, but bakery nearby for morning bacon rolls and two other food serving pubs nearby with a 10% discount.

Accommodation does not provide a breakfast, went to bakers two doors up for a breakfast. Disappointing no breakfast provided

Bed creaked all night, door handle in room didn't lock easily, and emergency door was open at night so did feel secure

The room was very clean & cosy, and the bed was extremely comfortable. It is a nice location near the waterfront and a 5-10 minute walk to shops.

Nice, fairly quiet Inn, worked very well for a layover. Evening meal not available at the time but plenty of other options available close by with a potential discount at specific venues.

Unfortunately no evening meals were available on site when I stayed which was one of the reasons I opted to stay there as I didn't want to have to go looking for a place to eat. But I understand that it was an unavoidable situation.

Location was great for us getting to fishing spots

It was very noisy from road outside but only because we needed window open as hot was my bed wasn’t comfortable and was squeaky every time I moved but my sons was but for the price I paid I was happy enough with the stay

Thin walls, felt was in a spare room in a house, to get to room went round the back through beer garden that needs a good weed, mat at front door in a puddle,, bin in bathroom not emptied from previous visitor, dirty big ring in toilet bowl, faeces outside bathroom window

The location was perfect as we were getting a ferry . Staff were very helpful . Prices were very reasonable .

Exceptionally friendly staff. Clean, comfortable triple room with individual heating if required (we didn't) and very good shower. Pet friendly and close to dog walking park / beach. 10% discount at sister business The Shoreline where we had very good bar food. Very convenient for the ferry.

The shower drain was filthy, hadn't been cleaned. Fire alarm went off at 6.15am, there's no fire drill instructions in the room or in the information pack. My husband couldn't find any staff to see what was happening. Common sense told us to get outside and wait. Xx

Great location near to Stranraer town centre and with easy access to the ferry port at Cairnryan. Room was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. We would certainly come back in the future.

No car park at the hotel but we managed to park nearby on the street

Room 2 is on Main Street, exceptionally warm night had window open, was kept awake with traffic and then in the morning woken up by someone banging on Room 1’s door … ear plugs next time.

Location is ideal for catching a ferry. 10 minutes from port of Cairnryan. However, it is the friendly staff and the wonderfully clean rooms at The Swann Inn that is the real catch. The room we stayed in was big, well laid out and comfortable. There were even tea/coffee making facilities which was an unexpected touch considering the price we paid. The food was also excellent, a really wonderful bonus. Would definitely stay again.

Only one lookout, there is no off-street parking which meant we had to unload a fair bit from the car that we'd consider valuable. However, that is no guaranteed cars would be safe and the area the Inn is situated is quiet and residential.

I booked the family room for 4 people (2 adults + 2 older teenagers) on 12th january and when we arrived after a 6hr drivig journey we were told the room was overbooked. This left us with a room which was unsuitable and inadequate for what we required. We required a room with 4 beds. Instead we got a room with 3 beds and a broken camp-bed which was unsuitable leaving my older son to sleep on the floor on a matress. The room had very little ventilation and in all honesty if we could have stayed elsewhere we would have done.

When I booked, I expected a B and B. No breakfast was available. The day before I travelled I was informed the bar wouldn't be open, and no evening food available. I never stayed here, as it was not what I paid for.

Es gab einen Parkplatz an der Straße direkt neben dem Inn. Das Zimmer sah frisch gestrichen aus. Vom Inn nebenan hörte man keine Geräusche. Allerdings kann das bei Außenbewirtung anders sein.

Das Zimmer hat die Ausstrahlung einer Garage. Karge Wände, keine Bilder, nur drei Betten, dazu wenig Ablageflächen. Das einzige Fenster war zugeklebt, da es direkt zum Innenhof = Biergarten führte, was etwas klaustrophobisch war. Das Bad hatte keine Fenster oder Belüftung, so dass man die Tür öffnen musste, um den Dampf abzulassen. Die Betten waren SEHR weich. Das WLAN ziemlich mau. Morgens um ca. 6 Uhr verließen andere Gäste nebenan das Zimmer und ließen mehrfach die Tür lautstark ins Schloss fallen, womit der Schlaf natürlich vorbei war. Insgesamt keine schöne Unterkunft in einer Stadt, die ebenfalls wenig zu bieten hat.

The passageway into the rooms was busy with bar and restaurant traffic and was dirty for the same reason - room was very clean, though.

We enjoyed every minute from we came into the Swan Inn until we left. The place is so friendly and you are made to feel at ease. Nothing is too much effort. Food,drink and service is great.

The room was large & spacious, the beds wonderful - thick mattress topper & new bedding.

The pub has been closed & was not opening till the next day. Road outside quite busy, but keeping windows closed kept the noise out.

Very clean room, with comfortable beds, plenty of towels and a lovely hot shower. Very close to the ferry so extremely convenient for early crossings to Ireland.

Unfortunately the owners had recently taken the business back from tenants who had not looked after the pub or the rooms to rent. Whilst they had obviously made a big effort to get a couple of rooms ready for guests, the pub was not open so the other advertised facilities were not available. We were offered a discount for food at one of their other pubs, which we gratefully took advantage of. We are sure that once the owners have made the necessary changes to the rest of the establishment, that ratings will be much better.

The beds, duvets and the pillows were divine!!!! I wish l could of taken them home with me!! Best nights sleep in a long time! Large garden bar area but we didn't use it.

No hooks in the bathroom and no mirror/shelf in living area to do hair (with plug in electrical products) also, bathroom tap ran pitifully, shower was spurting out at the head connection and shower didn't run very hot. TV wasn't working - but we didn't have time to watch anything anyway.

Rooms at back of pub. Very easy access from the bar, not very secure. Toilet seat broken with first room. Shown other room very cold, couldnt get it warm. No breakfast. Shower pretty useless, tap in sink didnt work so had to shave in other room. Poor quality bedding.

I did not have access to WiFi, on my nights, which was already inconvenient. Unfortunately, the situation was made much worse kn Friday night by excessive noise. There was a party with teenagers that continued past midnight, making it very difficult to sleep. In addition, there were fire drills around midnight, which caused further disruption. This whole experience made it difficult for me to work my 12 hour shift on Saturday. Overall, the experience was very uncomfortable and not conducive to a good night’s rest.

The food was plentiful but my burger was a frozen patty type & overcooked. My husband had the chicken curry & it was really nice.

The young bar staff were delightful and very helpful. The room was clean on arrival but tho we stayed for 3x nights there was no further housekeeping. We had 1 meal which was well cooked and tasty.

The television remote didn't work and we were lucky if we got 1 x channel to watch! Anything in our litter bin was not emptied during our visit.
