Clean great location

The central location was perfect for our overnight stay this time. The room was large, the bed very comfortable, the sheets and towels were spotless and everything was clean and well presented.

We usually stay in apartments when we come to Scarborough and so we haven’t actually stayed here since 1989!! Showing my age!! 🫣🤣… I think 🤔 the carpets and settees in the communal areas might even be the same 🤣.. of course it is dated and the bathrooms really do need updating, however I totally understand that you need a far amount of money to do this. I feel the hotel does what it can with facilities it has.

Breakfast was lovely full English lots of choices for cereals and as much toast as you like and tea and coffee abound

Location was great, stylish, clean and a great old style lift . We were given a room overlooking the Grand and you could be on the beach within five minutes. Loved our stay which was too short

Didn’t order breakfast so can’t comment on that Maybe a fridge in our room would have been excellent with fresh milk

We go to scarborough often, but this is the first time we have stayed in the Riviera Town House. It was the best hotel we have stayed in, it's was lovely. Great location, the staff was lovely from the moment I walked in. The rooms were lovely, the beds were so comfy. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel, lots to choose from. We will definitely be staying there every time we go to Scarborough. Thank you so much.

We did book a double room which was small as mentioned a bit too small for us so we’ll book a larger room next time.

The convenience of location ,handy for the town and the beach . It is spotless and clean and the room provides everything you need to make your stay comfortable. It is also very quiet if that is what you are looking for .

Can’t really think of anything to dislike if you just want a nice quiet break .

Room was dated ruff round the edges needs investment .I didn't think it was value for money and parking was ridiculous in that area took hours to get a space then dare not move in fear of loosing it ,the rooms had paper thin walls in all we won't be returning ..

Noisy seagulls (but technically not the hotel's fault )

Located close to the town centre and the beach, the hotel provided a nice clean room and super comfy bed. Ample wardrobe space and a fitted trouser press/iron board helped greatly, and a tower fan was supplied in case of hot weather. Bathroom was well equipped and clean, along with complimentary soap, shower gell, etc, and plenty of clean towels. Good bathroom bonus was an illuminating, motion activated mirror. The room itself, additionally, had a great choice of drinks (tea, coffee, chocolate, etc and some were even organic). Plenty of excellent restaurants nearby made eating out easy and provided good value for money also. Pleasant hosts completed the experience.

A nice traditional place. All the staff were pleasant. In a great Central spot.

The bed was far too hard, and not comfortable we left a day early as we couldn't face sleeping another night in it and we had only booked 2 nights

The explanation about parking , ya get a ticket after 9.30am but you have to check out for 10.30 am , a better explanation about this would have been welcomed

Very helpful owner. Breakfast lady also very friendly and helpful. Nice experience. The room was very comfortable and just what we needed for our 3 day get-away. The location of course was particularly enjoyable, being right opposite the Grand Hotel and close by the bridge across to the South Cliff walking areas. We will certainly stay there again next time we are in Scarb. Thank you Riviera Town House Hotel!

The property is in a great location. It is clean and tidy. Has a lounge u can sit in and watch tv

The only thing I could really fault is we had a room at the front and it was soooo hot only had one window u could open we did have a fan but it didn’t do much good

room on 4th floor, although very small was well appointed. The weather was extremely hot but there was a very efficient fan in the room. We were room only as we prefer to eat out but were told by other guests that breakfasts were excellent. car parking just outside hotel was only £7.50 for 24 hours, (discounted ticket issued by hotel).

Everything went well, a warm welcome and good advice about car parking and getting about, room was perfect and there is a lift to use. A very good location and altogether a very pleasant well run hotel and I hope to use it again when I return with the wife.

I didn`t like the complimentary gift on my car from the seagulls at the end of the weekend !, all part of the experience bless them.

I have stayed at the Riviera Town on numerous occasions and every visit is as excellent as the last. Exceptional service and clean comfortable accommodation.. Beautifully located to shops and the beach. I look forward to my next visit.

Spotless nice selection of coffee and a biscuit, bed was super comfy ear plugs were a nice touch if needed we didnt. We could even see the sea. Parking pass was given to us early as we arrived by 9 am cost 7.50 for over 24hrs well worth it would defiantly book again welcoming and friendly

The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food and very efficient service. The bedding was very comfortable and every convenience was included in the room.

We did not expect that there would be difficulty parking but after we arrived and there was no available space in the square outside the multi-storey car park was very near and quite a reasonable cost for an overnight stay. I don’t think this difficulty was made evident when booking but the outcome was not a problem.
